Look, some days the creative spark can't be denied and, for me, it finds a way into the world by any means necessary.
Today, it's via playlist.

The LSQ staff has a Friday question every week. This week's has yielded some fun responses, and I was curious what yours might be:
What public spaces do you feel most comfortable/cozy in? (Library, bar, park, mall, stadium, etc.)

I smell like smoke. We did our part to keep the light alive. Took a couple pictures through the eclipse glasses and ended up with some eerie images. We were fortunate enough to have 93% totality and the clouds stayed away until it was well on its way past maximum darkness.

I don't know who needs to hear this rn (besides myself) but:
Write that fic. Sit your ass down and write whatever goes on in your head. If you're anything like me (and you're on Tumblr in 2024 so I'm betting you are quite like me) you probably have a bunch of little prompts and ideas about a fic. I'm not talking 100k words, it doesn't have to be that many. I'm talking 1k, maybe 2k. Anything is good. It doesn't have to be perfect. Don't compare yourself to others.
If it makes you happy, I assure you, you'll find more people that will also be happy.
Share the love. Share the brain rot.

I poked around at LSQ's visitor analytics this morning and gave the community on Patreon the low down on how I track this stuff. (hint: it's very privacy-minded with minimal tracking)

I wrote a bit about showing your work and having a space on the web of your own for the Patreon this evening.

We've had a wonderful response today! I'm so grateful for you all for helping support our authors and independent publishing!

It's Gumroad Day! Today there are zero Gumroad fees (except payment processing). When you buy something from our store today, we get another 10% of your purchase!
To celebrate, I've created yearly bundles of LSQ at a discount and finally got the first 9 issues up there. All our back issues now reflect our new $2.99 issue price, too!
Since this is actually the store for Luna Station Press, which I also run, there's a few non-LSQ things there to check out if you're interested.
If you'd like to work on filling in your collection or exploring LSQ's history with a sampling of old issues, today's a great day to pick something up!
Thank you as always for your support!

I dunno if it's obvious, but I don't follow a schedule for posting stuff. I post when I feel like it. I'm no influencer, I'm here to be the person behind the logo.
Sometimes that means posting things at 10pm on a Saturday, even though no one is really around. 🤷

Gumroad day is coming!
On April 4th Gumroad is dropping their 10% fee for the day, so Thursday would be a GREAT time to pick up some of the LSQ digital back issues direct from us.
I'll put a few more announcements together for the day, letting you all know what's available. This should be fun!

I created a style guide this week to bring all the elements of LSQ's visual voice together. It was an important step in the reissue project I'm working on and designing some merch.

Last week I asked for everyone's favorite short books (under 200 pages). I got loads of recommendations from folks on social & from the LSQ staff. I thought I'd gather them all in one place for you

What's the best novella or very short book (sub 200 pages) you've read? Either recently or ever. :D

When there's a big fire, small fire depts. will call for mutual aid from other towns.
Outside the majors, publishing is a small community & we can be that mutual aid for each other.
Interzone has put out the call and we're answering.

I posted a peek behind the curtains of the work I'm doing for the rest of this year for our patrons. The tl;dr for you all is:
- website fixes
- issue clean up & republishing
- tabling research & prep
