Don’t worry, later on Loid confronts Yor if she is aware what KYS means and they resolved the issue

There are many types of intimacy and I love the way Spy x Family shows developing trust, especially between Loid and Yor.
Tumblr media
This first moment when Loid explicitly recognizes Yor as the mother in the Folger household is especially important in their relationship.
Even though he is focused on his mission, he is actually exhibiting a vulnerability that he repeatedly tells himself he can't indulge in as a spy. This isn't one of his calculated statements. He is trusting Yor not only with supporting him in his mission (however unbeknown to her) but also with helping him uphold one of his core values - protecting the well-being and happiness of children - with Anya. Yor is a real partner to him regardless of the reasons their arrangement began.
This is the type of friendship loves grows from.

you are loved. on quiet days that feel meaningless, during long nights when loneliness consumes you, when you’re reminiscing and grieving the past, on good days that feel like warmth and light, always remember that you are loved.

I’ve seen some inch resting takes on post-Shibuya Maki being a good female character but at the cost of “looking like a boy” when:
Momo spells out the hypocrisy of this early in the series, how scars specifically are a source of pride for men, but a flaw on women because now they don’t meet misogynistic beauty standards and expectations.
Zenin “my first line of dialogue is misogny” Naoya saying that the only thing Maki had going for her was a “pretty face” and without it is entirely worthless as a woman.
Even adding that well at least Mai has the same face and “knows her place”, so she’s still worth something.
Nobara brings up how Maki went through “the same thing” anyway and isn’t an asshole like Mai, she’s telling Momo to shut up because these expectations  didn’t affect Maki’s attitude towards others outside of the clan. She respects Maki because she wants to spite the system, she’s openly defiant to it.
It’s not “I don’t care about anything you’re saying”, as in she’s indifferent to the misogyny.
It’s more like “I don’t care about anything you’re saying” as in fuck all of that, you don’t have to explain it to me.
It’s spelled out to tell the audience, Nobara’s response to Momo is what the audience should take away from the scene
Toji was a source of shame to the family because he didn’t meet the sorcery expectations in the clan, and Maki is meant to parallel Toji (also spelled out). Maki is doubly so a shame because she also doesn’t have cursed energy and had the nerve to think she was worth something and leave the clan.
It’s different for Toji because he’s a man and not affected by misogyny. It’s even worse for Maki because she’s a woman. Like that’s a lot of why there are so many Toji and Maki parallels and by parallels I mean it’s exactly shown and told to you
