I haven’t been on here in a cow’s age but had to share what I did today with my fellow Esparza Fans:

I BOUGHT TICKETS TO SEE HIM IN GALILEO! 👀

If you hadn’t heard, the musical some of us got to experience in read through version in 2019 at Vassar where I came thisclose to meeting him but chickened out and just took pictures of him talking to other people has finally gone to production. It’s going to be this summer at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre in California. I was on the fence but my sister said she was up for the adventure and I clicked purchase this morning!!!! We are going to the June 8 matinee that has a post show discussion!

Merciful heavens I can’t believe I’m going to get to see him on stage again!

I’ve been reading a lot again lately - like A LOT - and keep reaching a point in the book where the big angst scene happens that threatens the HEA and finding myself not wanting to read it even though I’m sure it will be resolved. Then I think “you’ve written these scenes yourself, is this how your readers feel?” 😂

Hubs started seeing a chiropractor and gave the results top reviews so I went with today and it did feel good. Haven’t decided if it’s good or bad the dr looks like Daniel Radcliffe - beard and all - in glasses. 😂

Attention Someone Special fans: I’ve been working a little here and there recently on the next chapter but I was a little stuck what to do between the wedding and the baby’s birth. I mean, March to November is a long time and I hate big time jumps.

BUT! I was just brainstorming with my Lumione cohort, Ann, aka Astrangefan on AO3 and I literally have goosebumps because we came up with a FABULOUS new plot line. I’m making notes as I work today. Now I just need time to write. Stay tuned!

I agree with all of this. Maybe people who have watched week to week don’t notice these things because they’re thinking about other things in between eps and then the summer hiatuses but as someone who has binged on the entire series in the last six weeks, I definitely saw all of these things. Tim is a big old softie who hides it behind a crusty exterior. He wouldn’t be as good of an instructor and cop if he was hard all the way through. Just like I think Nolan is sometimes too nice all the time. But that’s for another conversation. 😁

I’m gonna hit my head against a wall at how literally unobservant y’all are. (not all of you but a lot of you )

1. Tim is not OOC for falling in love with Lucy. It literally doesn’t take a genius to know if you just watch the damn show that season 1 Tim clearly ISNT WHO HE IS AS A PERSON because we all could CLEARLY see he was in the middle of LOSING HIS WIFE TO DRUGS. He was in the middle of his darkest days. In the middle of a trauma. - SEASON 👏🏽 1 👏🏽 TIM 👏🏽 WAS 👏🏽 NEVER 👏🏽 WHO 👏🏽 THAT 👏🏽 MAN 👏🏽 WAS. - We haven’t seen Tim “truly happy” until now in the series. His other girlfriends were distractions if anything. He hasn’t been in love since Isabel. - and again, every adult knows how truly falling in love changes you. If it’s healthy, good love, it softens your heart, it makes you feel lighter, it makes you feel accepted & loveable (and for someone like Tim who was raised severely love deprived) it brings you back to who you truly are at your core. And Tim deserves that. He deserves to be loved & in love. When you find the kinda love & you are loved properly, it brings you back to the person you truly are and were meant to be. Everybody who understands true love knows this, so if you’re one of the people who doesn’t & keeps saying he’s acting “ooc”, just say you don’t understand real life love & keep it pushin. Just say that.

ps. Furthermore in the sneak peak for tonight’s episode we see of Tim & Celina, you can clearly see Tim’s personality of a semi-annoyed hardass is still prevalent with others. He’s just more soft & caring with Lucy, THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE, and he freaking deserves that. Tim Bradford freaking deserves to experience truly being loved & dotting on the one who makes that happen for him. - so y’all can stfu & let him have this.

2. “Lucy has a praise kink”. I mean this in the nicest way possible ; please stop. - Wanting to be acknowledged & complimented is not a kink, it’s called a love language. Words Of Affirmation. - I get we live in a hyper sexual society where everyone has to turn everything sexual but human observation should be able to put 2 & 2 together ( again just by watching the show) that Lucy was raised in a household where she was constantly told she wasn’t good enough, that she was a failure, a disappointment. - so she constantly needs validation bc w/o it, she takes that as she’s not doing good enough, or she’s failing. It’s actually really SAD when you think about it. - It’s not a kink. It’s a love language born out of childhood trauma.

3. Lastly, y’all mention Lucy’s “absurd amount of candles” every time there’s a scene with Lucy & Tim at her apartment but I guess y’all fail to clock every. other. time we’ve seen Lucy’s apartment at night; the girl ALWAYS , and I quite literally mean always, has candles and a dim light ambience going in her apartment. Literally. Every. Time.

Okay, rant over. I look forward to tonight’s episode.
