Journal Entry - 4.8.2024
I've adjusted my 2024 Savings Plan. Instead of withdrawing the cash and placing it into an envelope each week, I'm just going to transfer it to one of the savings accounts. I'll admit it: I'm too lazy to drive all the way up to my bank each week. I hate standing out in the open while I withdraw my money and stuffing it into an envelope. Makes me crazy. I'd rather just do everything digitally. I'm still going to aim for $6,000 by the end of the year in savings. For sure. I haven't missed a withdraw date yet and there hasn't been any negative impact to my personal funds. All is going well.

Does anyone else have that moment when you realize that it is vital to just slow down and take your time? Even when the world is pushing to you go faster, to get it done RIGHT NOW, there is that moment when you just automatically slow down and take your time and it feels like the sweetest relief? I hate working at mach-speed. I hate having to rush just to make someone happy instead of completing a task at my own pace. I completely understand that there's a time limit of certain tasks -- I do, I get it. But not every action has to be rushed and hurried. I can't stand it, it makes me so angry to do things half-assed just to make someone happy. Can any of you guys relate???

I don't know what's going on at my job, but I'm witnessing a drastic decline in performance throughout the whole store. My shift is not completing their tasks and I do not understand how to make it better. I can only ask people to speed up so much before it seems like I'm bullying them. As a manager, my goal is to encourage my associates to do their best and attempt to reach the set goal for the night. But that isn't happening and I'm at a loss as to how I can accomplish better results. I've sent my store manager suggestions that I feel could better our shift, but no changes have been made yet. I get that she's extremely busy with running an entire supercenter, but if just a few small changes could be made, we would all have a greater chance at success. Even the un-worked freight could be scanned into our inventory as to keep it from taking up space. Working in retail is a pain in the ass to be sure, but there's also something satisfying about stocking the shelves and making everything look nice and neat, while also having an organized backroom. I am but one person, I cannot do everything regardless of if I think I can. I'm good at my job, at all aspects, so I'm not sure where the disconnect is coming from. I'll have to take extra time to review the list of job applicants and provide for them a document outlining their job responsibilities. An instructional manual, maybe? Could it really help or would I just be wasting my time?

THE SINKING CITY - Charles Reed
After seeing the trailer for The Sinking City 2, I couldn't resist starting this game over from the beginning. It's so creepy and well-written! And Charles Reed and a poor tormented soul that I just want to wrap up in a blanket. Note: He ALWAYS has resting bitch face.

THE SINKING CITY 2 - Trailer Screenshots
After playing the first game and absolutely loving it, when I stumbled across this trailer, I about died on the spot. I am SO excited, I cannot even express how much. A creepy Cthulhu mythos game? CHECK. A cute protagonist that is definitely going to be crazy? CHECK. I am SO READY for this game. But it comes out in 2025, so I'll have a full year to salivate over this unknown man and the horrors yet unknown.

I can't believe how good it felt to add physical cash to my savings envelopes. It really made me feel like I'm starting to actually do something good financially for myself. I just know that as the weeks progress, and I have more and more money stashed away, I feel even better. What's really going to feel good is when I can deposit all of that money back into the bank. Can you imagine? $6,000 added to your savings account in an INSTANT. I can't wait until I'm ready to purchase my own property (in five years). I'll have enough for a down payment and still have enough for an meager emergency fund. Oh, I cannot wait for the day. I'm going to work my ass off to get where I want to be. I'll be free. I'll be fucking FREE.

Journal Entry - 3/4/2024
So, I've adjusted how I'm going to withdrawing money each week for the 2024 Savings Plan. The goal each month is to put away $500, with money being withdrawn each Monday. Now, some months have five Mondays while other only have four, so the amount I withdraw will not always be the same each week. One a week with four Mondays, I'll withdrawn $140 the first time and then $120 the next three times ($140 + ($120 * 3)) = $500. The months that have five Mondays, each withdraw will only be $100. Let's do some easy math: $500/month * 12 months = $6,000/year. I'd much rather that number be $10,000 per year, but I do not think I can pull that off at the moment. Maybe one day. ($10,000 / 12 months = $833 per month = $208 each Monday (4) or $166 each Monday (5)).

I don't know why all of my thoughts are consumed with making money, but I've just thought of a fun way I could make some extra cash in my free time. And it'll be kind of fun! I hope. Or it'll just be a headache and I'll never do it again. I'm going to go to a second-hand shop or a flea market and buy something that worn and tired. I'll refurbish it, slap on a nice coat of paint and hardware, and then resell it on Etsy or something. It'll cost me $10 but I'll sell it for $100. I'm just thinking outside the box right now. I have a stable job but some extra cash sounds nice to me.

I feel confident in the Savings Plan I've set up. The first cash withdraw occurs in four days on March 4th and will then repeat every Monday per month. While I'm quite excited to be saving over $5,000 by the end of December, I'm also eager to just have the physical money in my hand. I do not normally carry cash or use it in my day-to-day life, what with debit/credit cards being the most common form of payment. I'm watching all these cash stuffing videos and really like it when the person shuffles of the money or organizes it into little pouches. It isn't greed that drives me. I don't love money above all else. But it is a necessity in the modern world, so why not enjoy having it at the very least?

Journal Entry – 2/28/2024
I have devised a savings plan. Starting in March, I will begin withdrawing $120 each Monday from my bank’s ATM (no fees) and stashing it in an envelope marked for that month. Some months have only four Mondays while others have five, which means that some envelopes will have $480 while others have $600. If my math is correct, then by the end of the year I will have saved $5,280. I feel confident in my ability to stack on track with this savings plan; I’m trying to save up for a house within five years. This savings plan will ensure I’ll have enough for a down payment. Or, on the other hand, I’ll just take the money I’ve saved, buy an RV, and move into the middle of the Nevada desert and become a hermit. Either way, I’ll be free.

Journal Entry - 2.16.2024
I only have a few minutes to write before I have to leave for work so this entry will be brief. When I have more time to actually consider the content of my entry, it is my intent to pen a longer and more detailed account. I literally only have about five minutes to write this, so let's see what I can jot down. * * *
I really want to write about all the attractive men I am drawn to in video games, TV shows, and movies. It is a deep-seeded need that keep gnawing on the lizard sections of my brain, begging me to release it upon the digital wilds of Tumblr. I want to include short stories (some written by me, some written by others with ownership attached, of course), pictures, drawings, etc. I need a place to spew my random fan-boy thoughts or else I will go insane and I'll take you all with me. It seems I've run out of time. Work demands my attention. Goodbye for now.

Angel Dust's human name is...
I don't know why I'm so obsessed with this little detail, but when I saw Angel's signature at the bottom of Valentino's contract, I screamed.
❤️ Angel's human name is "Anthony." ❤️
