Merlin Cinderella au 🫣

I’m not good at writing but, I think it would be really cute to have a Cinderella au with everything being the same (setting and Arthur being the prince wise)

It would take place when Merlin just comes to Camelot, and instead of living in the castle, Gauis has a house/healing center in the lower town.

I don’t think the evil stepmother and sisters would come into play. But it would just be Merlin coming to Camelot like in the show and becoming quick friends with people in the kingdom (huge ‘everyone loves Merlin’ believer)

Uthur wants Arthur to marry to continue the bloodline and to secure him as next in line to rule. So he holds a ball for all eligible (noble) suitors in the kingdom (suspended disbelief of Uthurs possible bigotry 💀)

Merlin wants to go cause he thinks it’ll be fun but he can’t since he’s not a noble. He goes looking through Gauis’s old magic books to find a spell to change his appearance and accidentally summons a fairy godmother.

He gets his disguise but it’ll only last till midnight so he makes the most of it and causes as much mischief as possible, when else is he ever gonna get an opportunity to get into the castle and get away with anything he wants with no repercussions? (No one will recognize him 😈)

Arthur is overwhelmed with everyone practically throwing themselves at him so he gets away to the gardens( or something of that sort)

There he spots Merlin setting up a prank or something. He questions what he’s doing and Merlin says something like “are you a snitch?”

Merlin and Arthur proceed to pull pranks on a bunch of the nobles and Arthur has the time of his life for the first time in forever. Merlin doesn’t treat him like the prince, he treats him like just some guy and Arthur loves it.

They settle down back in the gardens with them both in a fit of laughter after their last joke. One of them makes a comment about having not danced the entire night, the overbearing music of the hall muffled but the quiet of the garden they dance together under the moonlight.

Arthur makes a comment about not even knowing Merlin’s name when the bells chime for midnight.

Merlin’s eyes widen like saucers and he takes off, shouting apologies as he goes. And in his rush off his neckerchief snags on one of the flower bushes.

Arthur finds the neckerchief and swears he’ll find that mysterious man again.

Merlin makes it back to Gauis’s hut just in time as the spell wears off and passes out in bed

The next morning there’s a royal decree to find the man danced with the prince and lost his neckerchief getting away

I feel that Arthur would be really determined to find him. And he would know that Merlin was not a noble, no noble would behave the Merlin did.

Arthur would personally go through the whole kingdom, house to house if he had to.

I feel like they would meet again in a really funny way too. Like Merlin would be delivering something for Gauis and they would run into each other like how they met in the show.

As soon as Arthur would hear his snarky comeback he would know that it’s him lol

Arthur would propose to him on the spot with the neckerchief

And they would live snark-ly ever after

Okey of this fic I remember a few thinks, I remember it’s a modern au fic where Arthur plays football. He and Merlin are fighting because Merlin doesn’t want to be his dirty secret any more and without intention he outs Arthur in front of the team. Arthur is so angry he punched Merlin in this face and Merlin feels so guilty he can’t blame him, I don’t remember after that.

I remember Merlin got hit with a truth spell or something that makes him say everything he thinks but he doesn’t realize that, I think him Arthur and the knights were in a hunt or something because they were outside and none of them told Merlin that he is speaking what he’s thinking, I just remember one moment specifically that it was that a man I think a worker in the stables is tormenting Merlin every time he goes there and he said it out loud and the knights get angry at that man

I remember arthur being enchanted (I think by the same enchant of Vivian) but he felt in love with Merlin, so Merlin made them a picnic and everything but when he was going to kiss Arthur he told him to close his eyes and make Gwen kiss him, Arthur was angry or something and then Merlin kissed him, Gwen was crying and Arthur was angry sayin “Gwen this is not what it looks like” and angry at Merlin, then they clear things up and Arthur end with Merlin.

I need an isekai au by Merlin.

Merlin is a simple guy who gets into the body of a character named Emrys in the popular short story "The Sword in the Stone". In the story, Arthur Pendragon becomes king, meets his love, Gwen, loyal knights, and later a staunch ally, Emrys, who sacrifices himself in the final battle for a great future and his king, his friends, and magic.

Merlin was always dissatisfied with the ending. He would have liked to see a happy ending, he would have liked to see Lancelot and Gwen couple, he would have liked many things. But he was never going to see it.

Until he suddenly finds himself in the body of the very same Emrys! A character about whom almost nothing is known! He just showed up at some point and decided to support Arthur. Reasons? Motives? Past? Family? Nothing is known. Merlin is outraged and decides to go to Camelot to be closer to history, maybe change it a bit and not die (if possible).

At some point he realizes he is falling in love with Arthur. From there, the drama, love, and adventure begin. There was always enough of that though.

Look at how he's so in tune with every movement of Arthur's that his eyes immediately trained on what's wrong with Arthur when nobody else noticed there was something amiss.

Look at how he instantly takes the mantle, steadies and strengthens Arthur by literally hauling him up on his shoulder the next scene, carrying him and his pain so willingly.

And you wonder why some fic writers (🙋) are never able to write Angry!Arthur about the magic reveal? Well, because this is what we imagine would've always been on the forefront of his mind. Not Merlin's golden, "traitorous" eyes, but Merlin's loving, healing ones.

I It is post canon, everything is beautiful, the golden age arrived but Merlin lost his place in that world, Arthur thought he was taking away tasks from his friend, he hires another servant and makes Merlin stop going hunting, Gaius hires another assistant and I think there is already someone who is protecting the kingdom, if I'm not wrong, I think it's Morgana or maybe it's because everything is very calm and Merlin's protection is no longer needed, plus the knights are patrolling away, so no one notices Merlin's presence.

So he goes home and starts telling the children about his adventures. I think some time passes and Arthur arrives from a patrol or something like that and they notice Merlin's absence and goes to look for him.

Maybe it’s with the tag of #hurt Merlin

I think Arthur is having nightmares or something like that and Merlin for helping him creates a connection that makes Merlin live Arthur's erotic dreams whether Arthur is dreaming asleep or awake.

I specifically remember

1. that Arthur made Merlin think that the only reason why he is the protagonist of his erotic dreams is because of the spell.

2. a scene where they are at a meeting and Arthur begins to dream that Merlin is doing him in that same place, completely naked, while in real life Arthur does not notice that he is dreaming that and Merlin is having a lot of trouble containing himself.

3. After that scene Arthur goes to his room and dreams that Merlin uses his magic to subdue him and Merlin tries to get to his room without coming

Third

I think this is a fic that redeems Morgana, because it talks about an old lady who is selling love tokens in the square.

if I'm not wrong Arthur buys almost all the tokens for Merlin and Merlin only manages to buy a frog plushy for Arthur, none of them knew that the other one bought him something.

Percibal bought Gwaine underwear that I think says love and I also remember Gwen/Leon, specifically because there is a moment where they go to the tavern and find those two couples there, and then they discover that morgana is the old lady selling the tokens.
