SORRY FOR THE WHIPLASH TO MY 90 FOLLOWERS
BUT, I am just going back to my hold blog which used to omgreading before I created the new one haileyreadsbooks.
But um, I changed the names. I just changed the names and I'm going to keep the old blog that I posted on for a year.
WHY DIDN'T I JUST CHANGE THE NAMES.
Oh yeah, because I wanted to start fresh.
THAT WAS A GARBAGE IDEA.
So, now in a complicated way, I have changed my old blog to the new name, and this is just a placeholder for like a week or two before I delete it.
SO, new followers here who weren't already following the other account, please come and find me at

I've decided reviews are stupid. FOR ME. And so I will not be doing them for every book. Mainly because I can't be bothered.
I will do them for ARCs because like that's the whole point.
I am also going to go back to doing like daily posts of what my day was like I used to do on my other blog before I just gave up on everything.
You might have seen how bad I am at following through, so let's see if this happens.

I did read every day in June, but I did not review every book. I still can, so that's a good thing.
I basically have to review all the Ice Planet Barbarians and Icehome books.
OR MAYBE, I just don't saddle myself with reviews that aren't for ARCs. WHO KNOWS.
Also, this is the true half-point of the year. Not only did I lie, but I was bad at math.
I read every day last year for 30 minutes. I was reading every day this year for 15 minutes until March and then I hit a minor speed bump.
I want to read every day again. I think I am also going to put it back to 30 minutes a day. I feel like that will ensure I at least read one chapter every day.
I am also going to review everything I finish, might be a smol review, but I'm going to do it.
Halfway point of the year, June 1st, seems like a good place to start.

I did it. I finished the Ice Planet Barbarians series. It was a lot of fun.
I will probably finish reading the Icehome series as well and that is another 10 books I think. I'm going to take a break for a day or two and then try to finish those before June ends. It should be easy, they are pretty short.
My stats for this month are going to jacked up and make the rest of the year look like garbage.
I still need to write reviews for these, but they will probably be just a few lines about the pairings because a lot of the story is redundant.

Ice Planet Barbarians
I'll pretty much read anything if I'm told to.
I started Ice Planet Barbarians on the 10th and 10 days later; I have read 26 books written in that universe. I am nearly done with the Ice Planet Barbarians series and I've made it a third of the way into the Icehome series.
I just can't stop reading them. They are funny and corny. Written pretty well, a decent plot (even if it gets redundant), and good world-building. I'm sure the sexy times are great, but I don't even need any of that. The whole idea is kind of ridiculous, which is why I started reading them.
If you are waffling on them, I say check them out. The character development gets better with each book, so if after the first one you don't like it, try another, that is literally the worst one.
Definitely check out the trigger warnings for the books, no one seems to warn that in the first book there is some pretty heavy stuff. I would say check it for each book to make sure you are comfortable because some themes come up again.
These are really short and fun reads.

Google Kindle Unlimited free trial or Kindle Unlimited for $0.99 for three months. It's how I continuously keep it. And I had to renew the other day to keep reading the series.
me, joking about reading Ice Planet Barbarians:

Review tips or format?
I made a new goal for the rest of the year to review every book I finish. I mainly started this because I am using NetGalley now and that's the whole point, but to also build myself us a reviewer to kind of help build up my social media presence.
However, I am just not great at reviews. I've posted two to my Goodreads so far and they are like the bare minimum. When I google how to do better reviews I find either really vague ones or ones about like college book analysis.
Does anyone have tips they could share with me, I'd appreciate it!

The feeling that she had never really lived in this world caught her by surprise. It was a fact. She had never lived. Even as a child, as far back as she could remember, she had done nothing but endure.
