KILL BILL - nine
wc: 1,365
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh, really now?
If things hadn't cleared up for you then, they definitely did now. You seethed in an endless cycle. You quivered, fist clenched so tightly that you could have seen your knuckles thin. A volatile level of anger you didn't think you could get to happened.
But as you unclenched your jaw at the makeup artist heading your way, you knew your resolve again. Your face softened with all the energy you could put into making yourself look believably nervous, turning off and hiding your phone under your thigh away from alarm.
You sat there as the staff smiled at you, merely frozen up in your internal grief and intensity, at the studio vanity of backstage. You didn’t think that this company would do it differently from all auditions, but there was a small preliminary where you’ll also dress accordingly.
It seemed strange— as if they were getting everything ready at such a quick pace that you weren’t sure they’d have a very correct judgment with who they were allowing. Hums of voices and clatter of equipment from the staff tending to other people auditioning left you to focus on them, rather than the ringing in your ears every time you even so much as thought of what you knew.
And even when your face was being done by the makeup artist, you still looked distracted from the world around you. Thinking of your conflict, and what would be done to give yourself a peace of mind.
Once you felt the eyeshadow brush that was gently grazing against your eye be removed in an instant, you turned towards the sudden halt, only to see Signora adorned. The formal gestures and multiple of the staff welcoming her, you would think she won a Nobel Peace Prize before this.
"Well, I didn't expect you to look the part so well." The deep and lingering voice approached closer to you, prompting you to take a sharp breath before turning.
You gave a deceitful smile. "I didn't expect you to visit. Thank you for the opportunity." The words flowed out of you as you attempted to rid of your phone from eye view again.
"An opportunity? I think we should be the ones making sure you're being given the gratuity!" Signora chortled. "I hope we don't scare you away after this. I have a few things to show you, now that you're willing to be around me."
"I think we should save that for when I pass my audition." Your smile stretched to mask the smoldering rage, but the more the beautiful woman spoke, the more you wanted to do something irrational to her. "You're going to be watching me, right? I hope you watch well."
As your confidence emitted off of you, the radiant smile you carefully performed, Signora's delighted expression almost faltered. "Ah ha," She sounded, tentative uncertainty in her voice. "(Y/N)...I—"
"All trainees please report to the hallway in 15 minutes where we will do attendance. Please do not move from your places until attendance is over, and further instruction will be given. Any trainees not in the hallway in 15 minutes will be immediately disqualified." A man through the PA system instructed.
You slowly stood up and turned to face Signora quickly, hands behind your back, interrupting her train of thought entirely. "I hope you can find what you're looking for in me as well."
And with that, you walked past her towards the exit quickly. Signora's muted eyes fixated skeptically at you while you left, visibly contemplating something before a smile of amusement pulled at her lips.

Xiao, his body slouched against one of the leaning chairs, watched you prepare as you awkwardly fumbled with the broken earpiece. There was a certain atmosphere that the rest of the people in the room had, to which they were all nearly yelling at each other and scrambling to dim the lights.
Even with the chaos ensuing, he could clearly see what you couldn't. And he could see that your frustration was brewing as you played with the equipment, even the mic pack wasn't clipped on correctly, despite one of the light technician's attempts.
He wanted to savor in the taste of success after being endlessly scolded, but for some reason, the concealed victory didn't appeal to him much. His shoulders slumped, cold expression still remaining but with more...distance?
He sat there, tapping at the edge of the sleek desk, impatient of the outcome. But he was snapped out of it as soon as someone burst into the room like a tempest, Kazuha's face slightly contorted.
"You actually planned on doing it!" He shouted, astonished.
"I'm glad you could show up, Kazuha." Xiao replied with dispassion.
"Do you—?!" Kazuha wanted to continue, but shook himself up as soon as he saw some of the executives walk past. He leaned towards Xiao, speaking in a low whisper. "—even know the severity of what could happen to us? We're not even allowed to be outside without security, let alone destroy company equipment!"
"I didn't destroy anything." Xiao sighed, an air of detachment much different from how he was in his texts. "I replaced theirs with mine. It was already broken."
Kazuha was left at a quiet pall at his responses, wanting to speak some more, but chewing at his bottom lip in anxiousness. "Xiao? Did you do something else to it?"
"No." His surrendering tone made it difficult for Kazuha to criticize him further as his posture crumbled under the burden of his own disappointment.
"What do we do..?"
"We can't do anything."
Because, in a way, there was something that nagged him that Scaramouche was right. And he didn't want to be the one to say it, until he saw you walking onto the stage in an outfit that complimented you better than he'd admit.
There was an unspoken tension, among the rest of them, despite the technicians doing their job. Though with the view of the performance, it seemed that you were the very first to audition.
"Hello, my name is (Y/N). I'm (AGE) years old, and I'm going to perform an old song that my brother made for me. I hope you like it." You eloquently spoke, following with a long silence as soon as you realize the microphone was faulty.
The apparatus distorted your words with a crackle, and each of the words that came from you were creating pops and static. Your eyebrows furrowed in frustration at the judges' odd looks before nodding to the music coming from your earpiece.
You started to sing, making your sweet voice carry among the microphone as it crackled consistently. The judges hardly looked pleased, one looking down at their notes and jotting something down.
The performance was almost unlistenable, and you inertly panicked as you took the earpiece out, throwing it and the mic pack against the floor as it skid. The sound drew to a stop, and you sang with an unaided voice.
It stirred Xiao's soul so much that he listened to it, feeling haunted by a deeper weight. His face showed a bitter look, a darkness to his eyes as he stared off while listening. Kazuha's formerly anxious expression turned into defeat as well, feeling his face soften.
You reached a long note of the song you sang, and it carried amongst the auditorium with how loud you made yourself. Feeling tears well up in your eyes with your stress wearing away, you ended it with an emotional twinge, trying not to let your voice get shaky.
The room came to complete silence as the other two judges expressed their delight, spotlight still shined down on you with bright lights exposing every shine and glitter of what you were made into today.
However, with a pen poised over her notes, Signora's face left nothing of what she showed with you earlier. She gave a small hum; there was no telling whether the hum was disappointment or delight, but she seemed impartial.
"(Y/N)," Signora said, her stoicism matching her tone at last. Her grey eyes sharpened, staring into yours like a wolf's. "I expected a lot more from you. Perhaps you're better off in a different profession."

ROSES — characters
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Y/N) — You wonder, from all sorts of fragments of your past, who you were before the accident. People around you hardly guided you on your journey, as they believed that you had to figure that out yourself. With no sense of direction, you came to a conclusion that researching would be the only hope, but it felt weird knowing that you were reading your own stuff. You were an aspiring author, and a stickler for art, so you traveled a lot to see the beauty of each nation. You were a fragment of what this person would be, your body belonged to you, but it was also only a piece of the puzzle that you created. To combat your eternal monologue, you made sure that you can do something equally as meaningful. Not to yourself, but to people around you.
KAVEH — He was there for you amongst the struggle he was battling in his head, he sometimes helps you with the flower shop when he’s not busy. Kaveh mainly isn’t home a lot, because he was a traveling architect. He came to terms that he needed to keep himself moving to keep himself from thinking about his father. There was not really any coverage you could find on your relationship with him other than what he told you, so you remained in the dark about a lot of his quirks. You found yourself mildly uncomfortable when you shouldn’t be with his romantic gestures towards you, and a sense of guilt, in acknowledgment that you two were dating still. Sometimes, if it were up to you, he would no longer have to struggle with something he lost. Because while he did lose his father, he lost you too, in a way.
VENTI — There’s always this man who comes in to the flower shop and claims that you know him and that you should come to drink with him. He was originally from Mondstadt and was traveling with you to show the rest of the world what he had to offer with songs and ballads from his country. There was something wrong about how he introduced himself again, but for some reason, it felt like he already knew that your original head was long gone.
"DORI"? — A girl who always delivers fresh roses and a letter from the mysterious V.V. you’ve been meaning to scope out. Dori is quite rude to you, but she is also a savvy and formidable businesswoman despite her height. She always refuses to give you more information on who the sender is, for some reason. Either that, or she derives the question to you expanding your business.
ALHAITHAM — You didn’t find much about this man, but you know that you had another childhood friend other than Kaveh. Your notes were all a combination of gibberish and descriptive mentions of your days with Kaveh and him when they were lax. Apparently, there was a big argument from him and Kaveh after he got accepted into this program for his research. You didn’t see him again to your knowledge. You wonder about him, and get siphoning deja vu off his name, but nothing comes to you.

MANDELA — twelve
wc: 1,473
“Get in. This is the last time I ever waste my time for some rando.”
Kuni was the first to exit the convenience store. He opened his vehicle door with a force strong enough that the rest of them were surprised it didn't fly off the handles.
You aided in his tyrant wake of destruction by pushing and nudging Hu Tao towards the door, leaving her to fervently panic. "Look, I can't say it out in public, alright?! This is a secret operation, and you're seriously going to blow my cover—”
"Cover? That's what you're worried about, a cover?" Kuni scoffed, "Your cover was to no avail once you got your tears and snot on my very expensive car."
"Did you have to add that it was very expensive?" You said, looking away with half-lidded eyes.
She strode mighty out of the convenience store, the welcoming beacon of neon lights clashing with the sunlight rising. "I can't believe you're the one triggered, I had to almost dig my eyes out with a spoon."
"Oh, we're complaining now? You can stay here, if you'd like. I'm sure you'll love scraping maggots off the floor in the back." But as the silence made emphasis, he grinned.
Hu Tao gasped, holding her manicured fingers towards her lips, her reddened eyes in slight fear. “Are you implying there’s dead bodies in there right now?”
“I’m implying that it’s an extremely unsanitary condition that only a rat would think to be around.” He replied. “Oh wait, I see some similarities now.”
"Okay, can we relax?"
Hu Tao gasped, backing up. "You used your hairspray-nuclear...practice missile thing on the wrong person, buddy. I feel like your dog is ten seconds away from turning me into a chew toy."
"You are really suspicious." You shrugged.
"I'm not!"
"Yeah, you are~ You little sussy-wussy, you." You said while poking at her cheek, swaying your shoulders humorously. “Just get in the car, he’s not gonna bite you. I am!”
You nudged the girl’s shoulder again, closer and closer towards the inside of the car, shutting the door behind her and looking towards Kuni again. Your eyebrows raised.
You knew he knew about suspicion, but in your eyes, suspicion was looking back at you too. “Stop scarin’ our livestock, Johnny. We ain’t gonna have none left.” You said to him in a country accent.
He shouldn't have been seething, but something about Hu Tao’s general disposition irked him. “She’s a creep. If you were alone I wouldn’t be surprised if she sold you to the Fatui.”
“I know, but we gotta lay low!” You threw your hands up. “We can’t just be outing our business to the entire wild west! You think word don’t spread around these parts?” You said while motioning towards the vast land of nothing besides the road and the tumbleweeds in the distance.
"Stop doing that voice. And don’t talk to me like I’m stupid.” Kuni’s eyes moved back towards the rest of the group. “We can’t afford to take chances when we have a pack of idiots with us.”
“Spoken as if I didn’t collaborate the pack of idiots.” You stuck your tongue out sarcastically. “If we’re really talking, I can’t afford anything.”
You drew closer to the rest of the group. “We’re going straight in. Ready?”
“You’re not listening to me.” Kuni’s voice drew out in a louder tone, his annoyance lingering on his tongue. "This is a really bad idea that will get worse, I'm warning you!"
“Damn, for some reason I hear a very annoying ringing! Hope it GETS BACK IN THE CAR SOON.” You responded, ending with a shout, that made Kuni's lip twitch in malcontent.
"...Wow." Kuni scoffed, ultimately listening and retreating back to the drivers seat.
Your head turned back to the group, grin slack on your face. “He’s so happy to be here.”
The group's faces held an air of expectation, but as they all exchanged glances, Heizou's gaze remained fixed. It was like a tapestry unraveled in his brain. "Question," He paused with uncertainty. "We're keeping a hostage with us because...?"
"Okay, chill out." You rolled your eyes. "She can't be a hostage if she attacked me first. Keep up."
"Keep up?!" Heizou's jaw fell slack. "Is your head on right? What if someone is looking for her? We led a paper trail to the rest of us. Then we have blood on our hands, we can't let anybody know we're going into Mori Grove!"
"It'll be fine! This is the best possible outcome." You grinned. "Plus, if I get what I want, we may have further investigation to look into."
"And you're happy?" Aether hesitated. "Like...with the risk?"
"Are you kidding? I'm so happy, I almost forgot I owe the government 500,000 mora." You chortled, the chuckle slowly fading as your face fell. "Almost."
"I thought you said that you weren't in debt?" Kazuha blinked.
There was a sudden tremor in your expression, begging Kazuha not to simmer the burn any further with your pleading eyes. The boy could only nod slowly. "Right...nevermind."
"Oh~ I love when cute people are financially vulnerable." Venti cooed.
"Oh my gosh, not here!" You dramatically replied, making a shooing motion with your hand.
"Well, this was a ridiculously unnecessary amount of time we wasted." Xiao's eyebrow cocked up in disdain. "You better have a good plan."

The car glided up the winding path heading to a cabin not too far from the village itself. It remained nestled in the ominous thicket of the forest, remaining eerie enough for the fog not to clear from the open acres of land. The road was beginning to close from the leeway, but thanks to Venti’s very convincing (and seductive) reasoning, the patrol let them through.
The headlights, like a piercing cat's eyes, provide fleeting glimpses of the ancient trees as it starts to stop along the pathway. There was something wrong with the atmosphere, and that itself was a reminder to Kuni that his stoic mood was necessary.
He turn the key out of the ignition, his eyes made a small glimpse at the sun that was no longer on the horizon before watching the second car with the others approach the other side of the pathway onto the grassy texture.
There was a noticeable sense of presence that was left, like an unseen spectator watching from the windows, their group unknowing that they were there. But before he was about to mention such, he was snapped out of his focus by Hu Tao's nervous chuckle.
There was an imminent silence amongst the three, before Hu Tao laughed nervously, eyes darting around the area. "Haha, well it's been a blast getting to know all of you within...two-ish? Hours, buuuuttt I really gottaaaa-"
"Shut up. You're not going anywhere." You cut her off, your hand reaching for the car door to open it and get out. "Kuni, watch her. I'll get the equipment."
Hearing a small sound of protest from the former, you grunted and shut the door, having felt your nerves on edge as soon as you got here. The home built out of wood stood tall, intimidating in its nature, being the lonesome home.
You wrapped the band of the camera around your neck, hooking on the gear and shoving the spare lens in your pocket, digging for spare handcuffs while the rest of the group approached you.
"Hold this. Can someone knock on the door? She said she would be here." You asked, putting a wad of paper towels and coins into Aether's hand.
"What are you- oh! okay!" Aether was met with anything he could have expected from you: a pair of handcuffs. "Where did you even get those?"
"Stole 'em."
Aether, looking extremely uncomfortable, gave a small cough. "Just a...heads up for next time would be good, okay?"
"Not kink stuff. This is for her." You motioned your head towards the girl who was coming out of the car, being stalked upon by Kuni, who didn't look too pleased either.
You quickly snapped the cuffs on each hand one at a time, to which Hu Tao's mouth dropped. "Handcuffs. Handcuffs? I think you're taking this way too far."
"Yeah? Should've thought about that when you lied to me."
"What, all because I can't tell you what I was doing?! I'm not trying to sabotage your investigation, I swear!" Hu Tao said in a slightly pleading tone.
"Pull your weight if you want out." You leaned closer to her with a hiss to your tone, causing her to draw back slowly. "You're going to wait until we're finished, and THEN I'll decide if I'm feeling generous enough to uncuff you."
You drew your finger back from her face, stepping back and heading towards the wooden door. Hu Tao was frozen in disbelief, along with Aether who slowly murmured towards her. "They didn't put me up to this, I swear."
Kuni, mildly proud of you as his eyebrows rose in delight, nudged Hu Tao and Aether towards the rest of the group. "Move it.”

MANDELA — eleven
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To put it lightly, Hu Tao was overwhelmed by both the pain and emotion to the point where she had collapsed in the car. So other than the fact that it was completely embarrassing, she didn’t have any other complaints about being in the car with her idol of choice.
The idol of choice being you, if you didn’t get the memo.
Last thing she could remember, she was inside the car of two people who could easily be swatted with the way things were going. And now, with her bleary vision and her swollen eyes she kept finding a futile attempt to frantically blink them, Hu Tao realized that there were now more than just the two she was with now.
"Sheesh. You got her good, huh."
"It was self defense."
"That only applies when they actually fight you."
"You can fight me right now."
"You wouldn't survive."
"God, I'm really hungry right now. There's gotta be something in this store that won't give me diabetes."
"Hey! You can't eat that without paying for it."
The communication, albeit not going anywhere, made her dizzy. There wasn't even anything wrong with the rest of her face anymore, but she could still feel the mucus and snot that was emitting from the depths of her nose. All she could do is withstand the consistent wiping every time the pipes leaked.
She figured out she sat on a wooden stool behind a convenience store counter, hands clasping at a tissue as she dabbed at her teary eyes gingerly. She gained her sentience back once she figured out that there were now more than you and Kuni with her.
Seven figures, all hovering over her in hope that she would come to soon stood in a semi-circle. She wasn’t sure whether they were genuinely concerned or if they just wanted to get to their destination quickly, but based on vibes, it was a clusterfuck.
Kazuha, breath suspended in anticipation, finally exhaled. “You came to, good! It was feeling more and more like we kidnapped you the longer I stood here.”
“Close to it; the worker almost called the police on us.” Aether said.
The air was tinged with a mix of emotions on your behalf, a tapestry woven from compassion, remorse, and a profound desire to speed up the process.
The girl sat on a simple wooden stool, her hands clasping a tissue as she gingerly dabbed at her teary eyes. “Ooooh,” Hu Tao sounded out in exhaustion. “That was a doozy. Kind of reminded me of when I got ran over by horses, except this time, I was actually a victim.”
“Excuse me?” Kuni scoffed. "I'm glad you have the energy to be witty. Real comforting. Drop it, I want to know the real reason why you were near their house."
"Haha...what?" Hu Tao brazenly replied.
"Okay, Kuni, relax. I'm sure she's harmless." You held your hands up to him and waved, a wry smile. "I didn't sit her down to grill her, she's exciting, fresh, and fun."
He rolled his eyes immediately. "Please, she sounds like a deodorant. You," He pointed towards the victim in question. "Start talking."
"Okay...he's right. I have a confession." Hu Tao's shoulders dropped in defeat.
"You really are a backstabber? Because (Y/N) still has that hairspray." Heizou warned.
"What? No! I was going to say," Hu Tao took a sharp breath in. "I was at the presentation, yes, but...I may have been more interested in going for my...own advantages? Heh."
"You don't want to look for ghosts?" Aether's eyebrows rose.
"Knew I got creepy vibes from her." Heizou jutted his thumb towards the door. "Let's make a run for it while we still have the chance."
"Rude...let's hear her out." Kazuha murmured.
"I don't want to hear anybody out who willingly fraternizes with ghosts." Xiao added.
"FRATERNIZE is a strong word. And don't call them ghosts, they don't take kindly to that word. You don't want roaming spirits to be pissed off at you." Hu Tao held a finger quickly up to her lips in urgency. "But no, shocker, they aren't my first priority. I want to know what's going on deeper in Mori Grove."
"Isn't that what we're trying to do?" You blinked.
"Maybe! But I've been trying to look for an excuse to go longer than any of you thought of it!" Hu Tao stuck her tongue out teasingly. "Who knew I had to make a college club to get there?"
Her words hung in the air like ethereal wisps, each fact after fact carrying a weight that seemed to ripple throughout all of them. But Venti, out of all of them, was still not convinced.
He held his hand on his thoughtful cheek, his eyes suspicious and curious at the girl. They flickered with intrigue, "Sounds like you know a lot more than you're giving us. What'cha looking for? Some ancient burial ground?"
"I can't...really tell you."
"I know I'm not the best at time management, but shouldn't we hurry?" You suspended the moment of tension, "The highway isn't going to be open for long, there's already construction guys there."
"Fair point. Let's go." Kuni motioned the collective spirit of six towards the convenience store door (to which the cashier was delighted by such news).
But amidst the flow of the group, Hu Tao stood up, and the violet haired man turned back towards her with a squint. "Not you, though. You can stay here."
"What!" Hu Tao's mouth dropped open. "You can't do that! I gave you a reason!"
Kuni's eyes dulled. "You gave me a reason like you were late to class because your dog ate your homework. Hasta la vista."
Aether looked at Kuni. "I didn't know you spoke French."
"That's...not..." Venti couldn't help but smile. "Nevermind~"
"We can't just leave her here." Kazuha sighed in defeat. "We already bothered the worker here enough."
"I'm glad you know." The cashier comically added in a murmur while they kept reading their outdated newspaper.
"If she doesn't want to tell us, then I'm not wasting my time trying to get an answer out of her." Kuni's eyes dulled. "I'd be more than willing to ditch someone who wasted our time, especially when they just want to hitch a ride off us."
"I hitch rides off you all the time, Kuni! She just wants to go to Mori Grove." You looked at Kuni, still stone-faced as ever. "If she doesn't have the same motive, fine, but she never said she would just go her own way."
"That is the point she was trying to make, though." Xiao added lowly.
"I don't care." Kuni said flatly, before looking back at Hu Tao. "You tell us what you think you plan to achieve, and I'll take back what I said, but you're so suspicious it emits fumes off of you."
"I don't-"
"If you believe her so much, then you can stay with her too. Call me when you wake up." Kuni cut you off.
Hu Tao stopped in her tracks, her mouth still open in shock. She found herself so ensnared in a struggle that her thoughts became mush caught in a strong wind. She panicked once Kuni started to walk off. "Okay, fine!"
As he turned towards her, her brows knit, and her eyes became bewildered with uncertainty. "I'll tell you in the car." Her shoulders dropped.

Throughout his life, Kunikuzushi had been plagued by a pervasive sense of contempt towards others. He didn’t necessarily want things that others had, but their happiness went beyond his understanding. He wielded arrogance, looking down on people and treating them with condescension. It wasn't a result of a neglected upbringing, but a genuine lack of concern for anyone beyond himself. Growing up in a privileged household, his mother being the current mayor of Inazuma, only reinforced a sense of superiority that he’s seen his mother carry like a sword.
Kunikuzushi's mother held a vision for the city that involved suppressing activism, peaceful protests, and any form of covert political activity. Her belief was that citizens had grown too audacious with their freedoms and were ungrateful for the city's support. She was determined to wield her power to curb any dissent, a stance that further shaped Kunikuzushi's attitudes towards others.
Raised amidst luxury and influence, Kunikuzushi internalized the belief that he was above the concerns of ordinary people. He reveled in the merits of his privileged upbringing and used it as a crutch, basking in the comforts that shielded him from the harsh realities faced by others. Empathy and compassion were foreign concepts to him, overshadowed by a self-centered worldview. His interactions with others were marked by disdain and indifference. He rarely considered the impact of his actions on those around him, and any form of kindness or understanding was perceived as weakness. While his mother's political vision shaped his perspectives, his own sense of entitlement and arrogance were deeply ingrained in his personality.
Kuni's life taught him that the world should revolve around him, and if it dared to resist, he would take every measure to bend it to his will. Even if it meant embracing an obnoxious demeanor, he was unyielding in his pursuit of acknowledgment and affection. To earn the love he craved, he felt compelled to prove himself continually. And so, he embarked on a journey of excellence, pushing himself to the top of his classes and even receiving an offer to skip a grade as a child. However, the only reason he declined this tempting opportunity was that he found solace in the presence of a classmate named (Y/N). They were the exception to Kuni's competitive nature. Amidst the pressure to outshine everyone, the 10-year-old Kuni discovered comfort in (Y/N)'s company. This classmate, known for playfully throwing Barbie and Ken dolls down a staircase and role-playing a steamy divorce, provided an escape from the constant race to the top. (Y/N) became a crucial figure in Kuni's life, sharing 95% of their milestones, offering support in their own unique way. Despite his tough exterior, Kuni's genuine affection for them surfaced through a tough-love approach, much like what he had witnessed from his mother. Beneath the drive for success and recognition, Kuni cared deeply for them, even if his expression of it was unconventional.
News broke out that Ei remarried, but nobody knew it was a woman. Her now wife, Yae Miko, quickly became Kuni’s step mother via secret marriage. A disagreeable personality and a refusal to keep his mouth shut caused other people to primarily be intimidated of him. He’s a naturally cunning person that has the wit to back him up, making him unpredictable. Yae, ever watchful of Kuni, kept a close eye on him, leading him into trouble more often than not. Though he escaped reprimands for minor infractions like crayon marks on the wall, Yae's vigilance ensured that Kuni's more significant transgressions were definitely overlooked. He knew he had his own ambition to set his mind on and to thrive towards, to divide his pre-established fame by birth into law. Even if he had to step on some toes.
