oh hi! writing this from my other blog cause all these headcanons come from my fanfic and this is the blog i use for that so...

yeah, still me just answering here!

for Tarzan, i do not have a perfect explanation which makes absolute sense and is supported by Facts in the animated movie

it's just that in the song (when Tarzan grows up? son of man? i think) they talk A Lot about rainbows and it brought my partner and i to think about Tarzan being queer in a way or another, we just didn't know how

But! my fanfic is set in a modern setting and this man? going around shirtless that much in a modern setting? something was up. and who else than a trans dude would be shirtless that much?

so yeah, a trans dude

it's not all! it also built the way i modernized + humanized his relathionship with Kerchak and wanting to be like the other gorillas and it fit his talk about fearing what's different

(just like Arthur says to his uncle in The Sword in the Stone that it's not because something is different that it's bad -- which put him too on this "not cis list" alongside Merlin even tho he doesn't appear up there)

in addition to giving a modern, queer, close to me twist, to Disney's Tarzan story, making him a trans guy also gave me the opportunity to have a Trans Dad for all the baby trans guys of my fic (Esmeralda is the Trans Mom of my story) which is always great cause don't we all dream of having a Trans Parent who can help us while understanding perfectly what is happening? yeah
