When I figured out I had autism I struggled with what that meant for me. My little brother has more support needs than I do, he was officially diagnosed when he was a baby and I was unofficially diagnosed when I was 22.

I didn’t realize at the time but my answer to figuring it out was to only talk about it to people close to me. I was scared I would be treated differently if I told people and I figured “I’m lucky enough to be able to mask it so why should I share it?”

One of my biggest issues of my life has been maintaining friendships. Even for the stronger friendships I had they would always end up badly after the 3 year mark. I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong.

Today I finally figured “Most of the time when I pull away I can feel that shift in the friendship” and I think that shift is when the person I’m with starts to almost “pity” me. Like they can sense the neurodiversity I have and the feeling I’ve always felt has been “This person doesn’t have any other friends so I’ll just stick with them”

I’ve seen dozens of people online explain how they hate when people infantilize them and my autistic ass finally understands what the REALLY means.

I don’t need the pity. I don’t need someone to “save” me cause I’m lonely or different. I had a similar mindset for my brother and I’m realizing how fucking MEAN it is to see anyone in that way.

I’m saying all this to myself cause I need to hear it. I want friends who enjoy being with me, who enjoy how fucking annoying I can be about digimon, and power rangers and all my other niches.

So now at least I know why I struggle with friends. I also know I want to be more open about myself, sometimes it’s better to mask but I have to accept myself and for me that means being honest with myself and others.

Messed around with clip studio and came up with a full evolution line for my favorite rookie Ghostmon and my favorite digimon Wisemon :D

I was looking at Leopardmon's blurb in the Digimon Encyclopedia and it says he's a very intelligent tactician which I think works really well if his previous form is Wisemon!

I collect cards! Digimon cards specifically but I have a pretty large MTG collection also! I used to have a rock collection when I was little too! (think it’s still laying around somewhere)

I can’t believe how accurate this is. I’ve had a rock collection since I was a kid, and I’m still collecting them to this day.

Do any of you relate to this? If so, what do you like to collect? It can be plushies, toys, whatever. :)

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.

Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?
