💙🧡Wish I could forget the taste of your skin and the feel of your hands pinning me down
By:KizuKatana
Summary:
Wei Wuxian would like to think that - if he had known that Lan Wangji would walk out of his life immediately after they hooked up- he wouldn’t have given into his ridiculous attraction for the man. He wished he were better at lying to himself.
Guest-starring Lan Wangji’s canonically poor communication choices after romantic cave encounters

“I don’t work with major sects. Especially not the Lan.”
~~
He had to see Wei Ying, to make sure he was okay. He hadn’t been allowed to see Wei Ying six years ago, and the man had nearly died. Would have died if Wen Qing hadn't randomly happened to be interviewing at Gusu hospital that same day. It was unacceptable that a sheer coincidence was the only reason Wei Ying was still alive. The company Lan Wangji’s family owned had put Wei Ying at risk, then abandoned him. Someone in his family’s company had made the decision to fire Wei Ying without notice, which violated company policy. Someone in his family’s company had further made the decision to pull medical support over a policy that was clearly not meant to be used in this way. Lan Wangji was going to find this ‘ someone .’ And when he did… Lan Wangji cut himself off at the shocking violent images that flickered through his normally peaceful mind. There was precedent for such punishments. Though much of his ancestor’s history had been burned, enough survived to make it clear that Lan discipline had always been harsh. In the modern context, he knew such measures would be viewed as archaic… even barbaric. But cultivators were given leeway by the authorities and society at large to handle their own business. Lan Wangji felt a primal sort of anger and thirst for vengeance that - for the first time in his life - made him fiercely glad that there would be no boundaries to stay his hand if he found the one responsible for Wei Ying’s treatment.
~~
“You never told me that you and Hanguang-Jun had been romantically involved.” Wei Wuxian choked on his in-drawn breath, which sent him into a coughing fit that lasted almost a minute. “What?!” He wheezed, when he could finally form words again. “Why would you think… it was only… we weren’t romantically involved. Fuck, who says shit like that?” Wen Qing eyed him skeptically. “If you’re trying to play this off cool, you are failing spectacularly. Though that’s nothing new.”
~~
Lan Xichen shot him a sideways glance, and continued to scroll. “Wangji…,” Lan Xichen said after several more pages of scrolling. “Did you have time to do anything other than follow Wei Wuxian around and document his actions?” Lan Wangji felt his ears heat as report after report with his signature flashed across the screen. He had, perhaps, not realized that there were so many reports he had written about Wei Ying. “I was the Compliance officer,” Lan Wangji replied tersely. “Mn,” Lan Xichen said, an unforgivable smirk appearing on his face. “You wrote him up for wearing too few layers on a night hunt after being covered in Yao viscera and changing into civilian attire?” Lan Wangji clenched his jaw. Wei Ying had been wearing only shorts and a tee-shirt. It had been a professional trip. It had been… distracting. “You know that most people don’t flirt by giving citations of minor rule violations to the person they are interested in, right?” Lan Xichen persisted, openly laughing at him, even if it was only with his eyes. “ Ge ,” Lan Wangji said repressively, which only served to amuse Lan Xichen more.
~~
He also really wanted to run his sword through Su She, metaphorically. And also literally. His hand flexed around the cool, smooth hilt of Bichen. He trusted his brother, but Lan Xichen was kind. Su She did not deserve kindness. “Please trust me, Wangji,” Lan Xichen pleaded, as if reading his brother’s thoughts. “Su She must face discipline. According to the sect rules, not civilian laws,” Lan Wangji stated. He would not bend on this.

💠💙Wrong Turn, Right Place
By:diamondbruise
Summary:
Fuck, he had totally walked into a set, hadn’t he? The beautiful, ethereal looking actor in his period piece outfit was pissed and waiting to tear him a new one, if the expression was any clue.
One moment the man was up, and then, the next second, he had gracefully jumped from the wall in front of Wei Ying, who, only by the strength of his will, did not scream in alarm.
He did yelp a little. But very manfully.
“No entry after sunset,” said the man, and his voice was deeper than Wei Ying could’ve guessed. “How did you get past the wards?”

💙If I could go back, I'd do it all over with you again
By:MichelleFeather
Summary:
A year has passed since Lan Zhan and Wei Ying left the cultivation world, leaving everyone to think the worst.
In their absence, Lan Yongzheng has been improving his sect - implementing new wards, taking new security measures, making allies - all in an attempt to prevent the horrible future his son and son-in-law came from.
When he receives a letter from the pair, announcing they are to finally wed, the pair that have long been hidden and assumed dead by the cultivation world finally interact with those they have left behind.

Yes, how dare Lan Zhan defend his husband from someone who was attempting to attack him.” Wei Ying took a step towards Jiang Wanyin. “How dare Lan Zhan punch someone who clearly held intent to cause harm? How dare you, Jiang Wanyin, to attack an heir to the Lan sect and his beloved. How dare you come into Yiling and treat those here with disrespect, treating them as if they should be feeling grateful to have you in their presence.” Wei YIng glared down at the Jiang. “I don’t understand what you mean when you say I wouldn’t be alive without you, that I owe this massive debt to Yunmeng Jiang for taking in a child from the streets and providing the bare minimum in terms of housing, food, education. Everything I have ever done within the walls of Lotus Pier has been due to my own strength, my own will. I owe you and your family nothing , I owe your mother nothing . Do not attempt to guilt me into feeling bad by stating I made Jiang Yanli cry. Do not try to convince me that I am supposed to feel indebted to people who took me in when I had been doing just fine by myself on the streets for five years. Jiang Wanyin, if your father truly cared about me, if he truly cared about my father, my mother, please do tell me why it took him such a long time to actually find me?”

🧡💠In Another Lifetime with You
By:InquisitivePearling
Summary:
"He had seen his face for so many years and could never figure out where it had come from. Was he at the last meeting? Wuxian’s fingers tremored in his lap, drumming like the wings of a hummingbird. He was there, in the same room as him, in his real-world flesh.
It was then that those once steely eyes twitched over to him. A shock sent down Wuxian’s body, legs instinctively straightening and pushing him out of his chair. A few people turned to see Wuxian’s sudden obstruction, Wanyin crying out in surprise. Even the other tables wanted to catch a glimpse.
He was real! "
Or, Wei Ying has been having dreams for over a decade of a fantastical world that he couldn't comprehend. People in his real life appear there, but they are all caught up in a world full of cultivation and demonic forces bearing down on them from all angles. However, he soon comes to find that the dreams he'd been having are actually much more important than he first realized.

💖💙If One for you, then One for us
By:KusakabeNAyako
Summary:
Wei Wuxian was dead. He's been for a while now and he was content with the fact. He even enjoyed it for the most part. Being dead is not like people imagine it. It's just... peace.
At least, it will be.
Once these assholes stop insisting on him coming back.
Chapter:26/?
Words:85,197
Status:discontinue
Of course their bad luck struck when they were the most vulnerable. Of course Wei Ying would accept a deal with the enemy to save them. And now the man was dying again. Something was devouring him alive from the inside out. Draining him. Killing him. And with him, it was killing Lan WangJi too. Because he can’t, no, refuses to live through Wei Ying’s death again. He will do anything in his power to save him. And if he can’t… They’ll need to put another coffin in that pavilion at Burial Mounds.
~~~
When Lan WangJi ripped the door open, the disciple’s head was buried in his Master’s chest. And he was wailing in grief. He felt his legs give away under him, but at the same time, he refused to fall. Rather he approached the two with an aching throat and a hollow heart. When the disciple noticed his presence, the young man pressed his face into his hands. “Two minutes!” He screamed. “You were late by two minutes!” The Lan’s Second Young Master collapsed next to the bed. Shaking porcelain white hands found an equally white face. He was still warm. Burning up even.
~~
Lan Zhan… it’s not over yet…” No. No, not now, please not now! What more could be taken from them? What more could they lose? His embrace growing in force, Lan WangJi buried his face into the man’s shoulder, fighting down a sob. “It must be done. But it will be quick. Now that you’re here… it will be quick.” “How quick?” He muttered, voice muffled by the fabric. Wei Ying let out a huff that could be considered a laugh. “Not twelve years. Based on how much energy you gave me, I’d say a few hours. A day at most.” A day. A single day never sounded more terrifying before.
~~
Wei Ying sounded fainter by each passing moment and Lan WangJi found himself unable to let go just yet. Why can’t these moments last forever? Why can’t they just lay here for eternity, warmed by each other’s presence? Why must they pay the highest price for every single drop of happiness, unable to savor it completely, tainted by the achingly bitter taste of grief? “… Kiss me?” “En.” The kiss tasted like salt and happiness. Grief and hope. It tasted like all those bitter times, wrapped around in the veil of desperation and misery, hope splattered all over them like crimson drops of two bleeding hearts. Cherished moments, so few with so many pain in between, shadowed oases in the Sun scorched desert of a life without each other. In that single kiss, the world had come alive, stars were born and then died out again, all of it flowering bright in a single moment. It felt like coming home. It was a promise. Lan WangJi promised to remain by his side until he wakes up. And that is exactly what he’ll do.
~~
A thought formed in Mo XuanYu’s head. Wei WuXian was the key to ascension. He was one of the necessary obstacles that cultivators needed to overcome in order to achieve true calm and serenity. If one could keep their temper in the same room with him for more than an hour, then they were due the deepest congratulations, they’d passed the test.
~
Do you have anything to add, Wei WuXian?” Is it just him, or did the temperature really fall at least ten degrees in the room? “Nothing.” Wei WuXian answered with a radiant smile. “At least, nothing child friendly.” The Elder’s eyebrow twitched again. It’s over. They are all going to die. Slowly. Horribly.
~
"Wei WuXian, are you making trouble again?” The new voice startled everyone out of their trance.
Wei WuXian took on a mischievous, but still approachable smile and inclined his head slightly to the man. “Of course not, Elder Lan! We were just reminiscing about the old days with Sect Leader Jin.” Lan QiRen took his sweet time to answer with a small but slow bow of his head, as if giving his approval. Then he turned to Jin GuangYao and said something that shocked every single person to the core. “I hope you weren’t offended by my nephew-in-law, Sect Leader Jin. You have to understand, he is exhausted and still recovering. I’m sure you’re aware, but we’ve been attacked recently.” …Dead silence. For a few seconds there were no sounds, no movement. Then, slowly, everyone processed what the Lan Elder had just said. Behind Jin Ling, a cultivator let out a high-pitched whine. Jin Ling couldn’t fault him for that. Since…when. When did Wei WuXian, The Yiling Patriarch, the Grandmaster, no, The Founder of Demonic Cultivation marry into the Lan clan? It wasn’t hard to figure out who his…uh… husband is, HanGuang-Jun was relentless when he tried to save the man’s life. But marriage?
~~
Jin Ling saw the disbelief morph into mischief on the Yiling Patriarch’s face and he instinctively knew that this wasn’t the first time they’ve heard this question. The man bit his lower lip as if trying to suppress his laugh
“… that I can call you uncle-in-law now? Uncle Lan?” “I forbid you to be that shameless!” Hissed the older man. “And I expect you to be on your best behavior…” That was all Jin Ling was able to pick up before the nervous chatter drowned out their words. He could still see Mo XuanYu, who had his back turned to his two elders as he pressed both hands to his mouth and laughing silently. Jin Ling scoffed. Of course the two trouble makers would enjoy a catastrophe like this. He didn’t look forward to telling this news to his Uncle Jiang though. He had a feeling that furnitures will break… Maybe even walls.
~
The Jin Sect certainly wasn’t above using any methods necessary to obtain such knowledge. “That is why you’ll only speak about the technical side of the matter.” Lan QiRen ordered. “You’ll sit beside me and won’t make a single jab at the Jin sect.” “My dear uncle-in-law, you’re asking for a miracle.” The Elder shot him a fierce glare. “Make it happen!” He hissed as they stepped through the doorway.
~
Just as he was finishing his explanation, he felt the familiar presence in his chest grew stronger and knew that Lan Zhan was about to knock right about… now. And, alas, he was right. Lan XiChen only took a single glance at his smiling face and immediately knew who was on the other side of the door, thus allowing entrance. Lan Zhan didn’t seem surprised by the presence of the Jin Sect, bowing to them without missing a beat. Of course, he wouldn’t show his surprise even if he hadn’t been warned by Wei WuXian about their guests. Once he finished his greetings, his eyes immediately found Wei WuXian who greeted him with a beaming smile. Reaching out with his hand, Wei WuXian made it clear for everyone where he wants his cultivation partner to sit.
~~
Freedom. He knew that Lan Zhan knew. The man could without a doubt feel his longing. In turn, he felt his fear. His terror of going out there, into the dangerous and the uncertain, where threats lurked in every corner, waiting with bated breath for the chance to rip them apart. HanGuang-Jun, the Lan Clan’s Second Young Master is a brave and selfless man. Lan WangJi, is a terrified and protective husband. The two personas clashed every day, and so far, Lan WangJi came out on top again and again and again. His love gave him power. His sense of duty tortured him for it.
💠💙Crafty Tricks
By:covalentbonds
Summary:
“Hussy.” Wei Wuxian hissed under his breath. Squirmed for a moment, he should be kinder and it wasn't even wrong.
Because it wasn't as if, as if—
“Hussy!” He gave up and whined into his champagne glass again. “She's a total hussy.”
“Yes.” A familiar sounding voice said in agreement.
Wei Wuxian yelped in surprise as he turned sidewards to see the broad figure of Lan Zhan's uncle glowering at someone who was not him for a change.
To be specific—at Wang Lingjiao who was plastered all over a suited and impossibly handsome looking Lan Zhan.
Or,
Impossibly, inconceivably Lan Qiren and Wei Wuxian find themselves agreeing with each other.
”Wangji.” He said, pointedly not looking at Wang Lingjiao. “Uncle?” Lan Wangji greeted back. Wang Lingjiao gasped and bowed. “Lan Laoshi..” Lan Qiren's eye twitched but he still did not look at her. His expression was filled with utter disregard.
He glared at her, then looked up and glared at Lan Zhan, lips pressed into a sullen pout, unable to help it—he had always resorted to puffing up his cheeks when displeased around those who indulged him so, Jiang Yanli and Lan Zhan— and loudly hmphed for good measure. Lan Zhan blinked. “Wang Lingjiao.” Lan Qiren finally acknowledged, as if performing a favor with no honorifics at all. “Separate yourself from my nephew.” He commanded. Wang Lingjiao's eyes went wide. Her lips pressed together in rage but Lan Qiren continued. An illustrious tiger to her mangled flea. Before she opened her mouth to say something in that grating voice, Lan Qiren spoke. “It is entirely unbecoming of you to drape yourself over a promised man.” “Promised?” She screeched. Lan Qiren cleared his throat. “Yes.” “To whom?” Her voice had climbed up in pitch. If she was a supervillain, her grating voice would be her weapon. “To him.” Lan Qiren said. All of them stilled. Wei Wuxian looked at her. Looked back at Lan Qiren. Avoided looking at Lan Zhan. Looked at her beady creepy eyes again. He did not know what the fuck was going on but he'd never say no to creating chaos. With a deep breath, he left Lan Qiren's side and simpered up to Lan Zhan. “Er-gege.. Wei Ying was so lonely..” He whined. “Why is er-gege letting this protozoan stick to him huh? Hmm, lady why are you touching my man?” ~~~😂😂😂Lan laoshi knows what is he doingggggg
~
”How many did you send?” Lan Wangji asked his uncle. Lan Qiren, looked at him tired, no doubt. “Thirty. As you asked. Why?” “Hmm. No particular reason.” Jin Zixuan had sent twenty five. Yu Ziyuan would notice. He knew she would. Good, he thought smugly.
💠💙These Mortal Treasures
By:ChilianXianzi
Summary:
"Is that something that Wei Ying would like?" Lan Wangji asks softly, carefully, "To be kept?"
There's that fleeting, lost look in Wei Ying's eyes once more, and Lan Wangji thinks it's unacceptable - That Wei Ying had not felt welcomed in his own home, so much so that he decided to wander the world away from it. So much so that he is afraid that he would be unwelcome as well elsewhere.
Lan Wangji barely stops himself from hissing, from letting the steam of his icy breath escape in the close air between them. He only vaguely remembers the Jiangs, a young Cultivation Clan barely a century old, but his disdain towards them feels ancient now in the wake of all this. How foolish of them, to simply let go of someone so bright, someone so unfailingly kind and giving.
How convenient, for Lan Wangji's own gain.
By:eatmyass
Summary:
Lan Wangji feels his heart break. He wishes he could scoop the children up and hide them somewhere, where nothing will ever hurt them again. “Please, all of you eat,” he pleads. “There will always be enough from now on. It is my promise.”
“You’re too good, Hanguang-jun,” Wei Wuxian sighs. “You’ll make a wonderful father someday.”
“I will have learnt from the best,” he nods at Wei Wuxian. The man’s cheeks fill with colour so pretty, Lan Wangji has to turn away entirely in order to breathe again.
A storm thunders violently, the forest howls in pain, and children are disappearing into the night. Amongst it all, Lan Wangji encounters a strange, beautiful man. And his five children.
Relax, Hanguang-jun,” Wei Wuxian whispers, sensing how tense he is. “I won’t bite.” That is the least of Lan Wangji’s concerns. If anyone will bite, it will likely not be Wei Wuxian.
~~
What else is there to see in Gusu, apart from great wine and beautiful men?” He grins, turning onto his side to properly face Lan Wangji. Everything , Lan Wangji thinks. Nothing . All that is missing is you. Instead he says, “Mountains, clouds that can be touched, snowfall in the winter. Gentians.” If he closes his eyes, he can feel the soft petals against his skin. “It is quiet, peaceful.” “Then we’ll be a terrible match, Hanguang-jun,” Wei Wuxian says. “Gusu and I.” Lan Wangji feels something tug inside of him. He is not sure what comes over him as he says, “Laughter fills the emptiness of peace.”
~~
Lan Wangji throws himself at Wei Wuxian, holding him tight in his arms, so close, too close, not close enough. “You are okay? You are all okay?” “ Oh, Lan Zhan. Yes, yes ,” Wei Wuxian responds, frantic. “Are you okay?” Lan Wangji pulls back an inch, just to take Wei Wuxian’s face into his hands and press a fervid kiss to his forehead. “Safe.” Wei Wuxian buries himself into Lan Wangji’s chest, regardless of the blood he must be covered in, holding on tight. “Safe. You’re safe. My babies are safe,” he whispers. Lan Wangji can’t help but kiss the top of his head once more, stroking his hair gently
💖💙The River Brought You Here
By:ChilianXianzi
Summary:
When she found the boy by the side of the river, Zhou Jia knew that anyone who'd come for him is not to be trusted. Not with the dark purple fingerprints around his throat, the veritable map of lashes old and new upon his back. It's almost a blessing, she thinks, that the boy remembers none of the life that had treated him so cruelly. That he's free to just be A-Ying, in this small harbour town that he embraces so readily as his home.
The day someone does come for him, she had not expected it to be the war hero Hanguang-Jun - Saying A-Ying name with such fervent hope before it turns into anguish as A-Ying fails to recognize him.
I mean, of course I want to marry you, who wouldn't want to marry you, Lan Zhan, ah! But you clearly weren't listening when I said-" "Then I am marrying Wei Ying," Lan Wangji says, smugness radiating off the perfect lines of his face, prompting A-Ying to another round
💠💙Following the Rules
By:BegrudginglyTumbling (SarcasticSmiler)
Summary:
To the outside world Lan Wangji was the picture-perfect example of what a Lan should be.
He was quiet, studious.
He knew every rule and followed them to the letter.
Never a hair out of place, his pure white robes pristine.
He was perfect.
There was no doubt in anyone’s mind that he was the pride and joy of his Sect.
But to Gusu Lan he was an absolute menace.
Jiang Cheng could feel the sweat beading up on the back of his neck. Jiang Cheng had, of course, seen porn before. He had his own small collection stuffed under his mattress back in Lotus Pier. But he’d never expected to see porn in the sacred library of Cloud Recesses. Unlike the other Lans in attendance, Lan Wangji merely blinked at the Teacher, before setting his brush down and calmly folding his hands in his lap. “How is it not appropriate? Books and scrolls are the keepers of knowledge, they are to be respected and studied. How are these tomes any different to the other subjects housed within the Library Pavilion?” “Promiscuity is prohibited, Lan Wangji, as you well know.” “I do.” Lan Wangji bowed his head in acknowledgement, and Jiang Cheng felt the collected Lans relax. But he’d grown up with Wei Wuxian for a brother, he instinctively didn’t trust what he saw before him. His instincts and experience were proven correct when Lan Wangji lifted his head and spoke once more. “However promiscuity is enacted through the use of the body. I have not indulged in any of the acts portrayed within these works and shall not until such a time as I am married. I fail to see how I can be accused of promiscuity when I am merely following the tenets of our Sect and expanding my mind through the acquisition of knowledge.” “You-!” Jiang Cheng didn’t want to admit it as he scrambled to the side, bowing respectfully to the Teacher storming out, but he was impressed. Every teenager he knew hid their porn like the dirty little secret it was. Even Wei Wuxian hid his porn like the dirty little secret it was. Yet here was Lan Wangji. Reading it in public and claiming to be studying. There was no shame. No blushing and stuttering as fumbling hands tried to hide it. He honestly, point blank, dubbed it a source of knowledge and his Elder couldn’t do anything because he wasn’t technically breaking the Rules. Jiang Cheng was honestly in awe.
💙So You Accidentally Kidnapped A Qilin
By:Mikkeneko
Summary:
For untold years Heaven's plan has kept order on earth: they send a qilin, a divine messenger, to choose a worthy king and stand by their side to guide that king in their rule. But ever since the infant qilin of Wu Kingdom was kidnapped, the land has descended into ruin and strife as the five great cultivation sects contend among themselves.
Fifteen years later, the lost qilin is unexpectedly identified in the person of Wei Wuxian, the orphaned ward of the Jiang Sect. Wei Wuxian must struggle with the truth of his nature and what it means for him, his family, and his kingdom -- while also grappling with new and overwhelming feelings for the Lan Sect's cold and haughty Second Young Master! Meanwhile, not all the Sects are resigned to allowing Heaven to order their affairs for them, and if Wei Wuxian doesn't resolve the question of the kingship soon, they may take matters into their own hands...
(Bunny wei ying)
“You’re really great. The best, even.” Wei Wuxian returns Lan Wangji's earlier gesture, tucking a piece of Lan Wangji's hair behind his ear and then cupping his jaw. “I love you. Adore you. Want you. Lan Zhan, you’re everything to me and you can have me as long as you want me—“ Here, Lan Wangji thankfully cuts off what is sure to be only the beginning of Wei Wuxian’s rambling, stealing his mouth back for another long and languid kiss. “Forever, then.” Lan Wangji says softly when they separate again. He leans his forehead against Wei Wuxian’s. “I want you to stay forever.” “Lan Zhan,” Wei Wuxian’s voice trembles as his eyes begin to sting. “Lan Zhan! You can’t say that! You’ll make me cry!” Lan Wangji brushes their noses together with a hum. “You said, ‘As long as I want you’.” He reminds him and here their bodies move in tandem, arranging their limbs so they can hold each other as close as possible. “I want you forever.”
“Forever then.” Wei Wuxian confirms with a grin. “I’ll be yours forever.” Lan Wangji nods. “And I will be yours.”
