I’m proud of myself tonight
Not only did I kick myself in the butt to go to the gym tonight, even though I wasn’t particularly motivated, but I feel like I have gotten better about my self-care routine.
Ever since my son has been born, I have 100% moved my needs to bottom priority. This is slightly TMI, but there were weeks where it wasn’t uncommon for me to only shower once maybe twice. Didn’t shave regularly (and I personally cannot stand when I build up body hair).
I really have gotten better about taking showers, shaving, washing my face well, etc.
For most people that probably wouldn’t be too huge of an accomplishment, but for me it’s massive.

Gym today. Got my speed up a little bit today. Pretty good for only being back to the gym for a week now. After the treadmill, went a did weights. Did a total of 55 squats with a 30lb barbell plus various arm workout with 17.5lb dumbbells. I’m determined to meet my goal to increase my endurance so that I’m ready for the 10k in October, plus get better at weights.

Me and @cyberiantsuinami accomplished our first running goal today! 5k! We wanted to actually run more than we ended up doing, but everyone kept getting bottlenecked together, making us have to walk.
If you want to do a color run, don’t hesitate! Just do it! Anyone and everyone can have fun and enjoy it, even if you’re not able to run the whole thing.

Guys! I’m so excited!
I’m really setting out to really focus in on my fitness goals now that my son is older and my hubby will be back soon. 
Primarily, I’m focusing on getting my stamina and cardiovascular fitness on point. So this year (in a little less than three months) I am doing a color run!! 
I broke this down while talking to my husband the other day... basically, my goal this year is to train for a run a 5k (which will be accomplished in 3 months’ time). 
Then I’ll be focusing on increasing to a 10k in 2017.
In 2018, I want to increase to a half marathon distance. 
By 2020 at the absolute latest, I plan on moving up to a full marathon. I gave myself a little more time for this goal, since obviously this is going to be the largest leap as far as distance goes. 
Once I complete a full marathon, I want to register for the Boston Marathon by 2021.
Let me tell you guys, screw having a body goal. Having a goal that’s more like an achievement is way more exciting. The body will come as a side effect.
