// Mini poll to any of those still out there. Should I keep this blog as is or move characters over to my big multi? It’d condense things for me, at least. Here’s the multi if you wanna take a look.

Frowning when it became apparent that the young angel had indeed faced some questionable hardships since they last saw each other Rain had to then wonder what had happened to his caretaker, but fearing that it was a much to sensitive subject stayed silent about the matter.
“Well then what do you say you stay with me for the night? Get you all cleaned up with some new clothes and a nice warm meal. Rea and Aedan would love to see you for a little bit too, and if you want to leave after a day or two then I won’t stop you.”
A switch was clicked in Silth at the offer and it made him smile. A nice meal and some clothes did sound nice. Though he wanted to make it clear that he didn’t intend on staying for long. Silth had a job to do.
“That sounds nice. I’ll stay the night and leave tomorrow so I can continue on with what I’m doing. There’s a lot of work for a little guy like me to do.” Though it wasn’t clear to him what that work was, yet. No one told him why he was put where he was nor what his job was. He had mostly been wandering around until he received instructions. How long would he have to wait?

—✕ █ ▌The prospect of an encounter with a DEVOUT follower of the Qun does not bode well for his state of being. However much he may wish to respect and understand cultures beyond his own understanding, theirs seems to be stubbornly incompatible with the rest of Thedas. Part of his reasoning for sticking to the Inquisitor, Loghain would be remiss if the Qun followed them this far.
A nod of UNDERSTANDING as Loghain awaits Eon’s return, standing where the other left him ( off to the side and yet not hidden wholly in shadow ) looking perhaps at a loss with how to handle his idle stance. But, just as quickly, Eon returns and Loghain falls into step alongside as they head towards the exit. ❝It will be BEST to travel with another. If they are, in fact Qunari … Maker, no wonder there’s so many of you who take mercenary work. Even that is better than the Qun.❞
Eon furiously shook his head and waved his hands in front of the other. “Oh, no, no- they’re not actually Qunari. Everyone in our mercenary group is Tal-Vashoth. I was just saying that it was probably wise of you to assume the worst.” He didn’t like to imagine the nightmare that would be the mercenary group as actual Qunari. The secrets and the backstabbing would be very prevalent.
They begin to make their way out of Skyhold and down the encampment. Most of the troops were stationed outside of the hold so Eon made sure to make trips there often, but it became difficult as Inquisitorial duties became more pressing. If he wasn’t out in the field then he was in his room writing letters.
“In all honesty, our mercenary work hasn’t been too bad. Our most dangerous mission was by far the one we had at the Conclave. We used to get hired to do a lot of petty things in Antiva and Rivain. Blowing up a bridge to catch some thieves was by far one of my favorite missions.” He spoke of it like a fond memory. Just thinking about it was making him smile and getting his blood rushing, but not in a bad way.

Just knowing even one other ancient elf had survived to the Dragon Age was enough for Velawen. She had entered this new world alone with little hope of ever finding more of her people yet the both of them had found the Inquisition.
Velawen had stopped drawing closer to the dragon by this point but her proximity had at least seemingly encouraged him to approach it, standing closer to it than she was. Had he not realised how close he was coming to it? As he extended an arm towards it, Velawen lifted a brow and watched him curiously, wondering if he had the courage, or was stupid enough, to actually touch the dragon. Maybe it would not feel it very much and it would be fine, but was waking a dragon barely a few feet away the best idea? Velawen had only wanted a closer look and had been careful on his account, on not wanting to drag him into a fight. Seemed to her like he was going to drag them both into one.
Velawen shook her head slowly once he turned to her and took a step back.
“Are you really so intent on losing an arm?”
Glandival was coming to realize how much of a hypocrite he really was, although he never got the freedom to do so previously. He was a rebel even to himself. Though he really didn’t want to lose an arm to the sleeping beast it would’ve been quite the story to tell. Still, he listened to his own words through the other and walked away to stand closer to the other elf.
“Imagine one being tame,” he whispered, a sly smile dancing at his lips. “I’m not saying we could do it, but I’d like to imagine it could be done. You think if she laid eggs that we could steal one and try it out?” A dangerous task that Glandival was surprise he was even suggesting. Waking a dragon from sleeping was a death sentence in of itself, but attempting to take a dragon age from one of these beasts was suicide. But Glandival didn’t have much to lose. He’d be willing to try.
The great beast gave a deep grumble and shifted in its sleep. She turned her body so she was facing them. “She looks so innocent while resting.”

childrenofestheim‌:
Already this wasn’t the adorable little angel boy that he remembered. Perhaps he was having a rough day, or perhaps on the inside he had just grown up a bit…It was hard to tell given that he wasn’t human.
“Nothing here has changed much. Rea and Aedan are growing up bit by bit.” The offer of getting the three of them to play together came to mind, but something told him that Silth just wouldn’t appreciate that here and now.
“Are you sure you’re doing alright? You don’t really seem like yourself at the moment.”
“It’s a dog-eat-dog world, Rain. You either have to toughen up or you get left behind, so I toughened up.” He pounded his chest with a fist. But then he sighed and looked wistfully down the sidewalk.
“I’ve been on my own for a while now just trying to get used to things. It was nice to stay in one place but it was boring. Now I get to experience life more like a human. The only downside being I’m so little. A lot of people don’t seem so bothered by it. Actually, not a lot of people notice me at all.” He pulled on his dirty clothes like it was something to do with them that people didn’t notice him.

*: ・゚✧   interrogation starters.
feel free to change pronouns etc as needed.
CALM / QUESTIONING.
“ tell me, what happened?”
“ did you see anything?”
“ what do you remember?”
“ do you remember anything unusual?”
“ please, try to remember as much as you can.”
“ every detail is important.”
“ and what happened next?”
“ and what did you do when all this took place?”
“ what were you doing around __ am/pm?”
“ where were you around __ am/pm?”
“ can anyone verify that?”
“ was someone with you?”
“ and you had nothing to do with it?”
“ and you weren’t involved?”
“ did you see it happen?”
“ did you see who did it?”
“ did you see or hear anything? anything at all?”
CARING / UNDERSTANDING.
“ you seem scared… is that why you don’t want to talk?”
“ did someone hurt you?”
“ it’s okay. you can tell me.”
“ you were just trying to defend yourself, weren’t you?”
“ we can take a break, if you want.”
“ everything will be okay, i promise. but you need to talk to me.”
“ it’s okay if you don’t want to talk about it. but it really would help if you did.”
SUSPICIOUS.
“ there is something you’re not telling me.”
“ i think you’re lying.”
“ you looked away just now when you said that. are you sure you’re telling the truth?”
“ except what you’re telling me doesn’t align with what we already know.”
“ seems to me like you know more than you’re letting in on.”
“ what aren’t you telling me?”
“ who are you trying to protect?”
“ so you really don’t know what any of it means? no clue at all?”
“ they must’ve told you more than that.”
“ you have to have seen more than that.”
“ and you want me to believe you don’t remember?”
“ and you want me to believe you had nothing to do with it?”
“ an accident? is that what you’re going with?”
DEMANDING.
“ i need you to tell me the truth.”
“ i need you to tell me what happened.”
“ i know you’re not telling me the truth.”
“ that doesn’t line up with the evidence. so… you wanna try that again?”
“ stop lying. i already know that’s not what happened.
MAKING A DEAL / ASKING FOR HELP / DEMANDING HELP.
“ what do you want in exchange for this information?”
“ i’m listening…”
“ you’re coming with me.”
“ since you’re the only one who knows how to find them, i don’t really have a choice but to take you with me.”
“ fine. i’ll take you with me, but if you try anything…”
“ i can’t give you that. you know that.”
“ if we’re going to make a deal, you’re gonna have to ask for something a little more rational than that.”
“ okay. we have a deal.”
“ sorry. no deal.”

“Why would they care?” Cullen asks, free of scorn and more curiosity. “They have families to care for, loved ones to protect. They fear the tears in the sky and worry for those who mean something to them. You’re the thing that can stop those fears, a means to an end. I realise you hardly asked for this but that’s the hand you’ve been dealt.”
Cullen would never claim to be particularly skilled at conversing with teenagers, especially those that weren’t soldiers.
He watched as the boy- the Inquisitor- practically deflated before him.
“And which facts would you like to publicise? All you need do is ask Josephine, although I suspect all that may matter is your hand.”
“Well, I hate the hand I’ve been dealt. It wasn’t meant for me but here I am. It hurts and it’s spreading and eventually it’s gonna kill me. I just wish people could see from my perspective but I’m burdened with seeing everyone else’s perspective.
“I think I just want people to know that I’m a person too. That I’m scared. I have loved ones I want to protect. Maybe send me to some major cities and have me stand up and speak for a little while. Then to be sure what I’m doing isn’t totally useless, check in on camps and close some rifts along the way, no harm done.” Kosmo shrugged and started walking around a bit. He quite liked the idea, but it required that Paros come along with him. But he could wear him down pretty easily.
He turned to Cullen, arms crossed but with a curious smile on his face. “Thoughts?”

Cole’s insights were intensely private, things that Cullen tried not to listen to but was too close to avoid. Ander’s name had his jaw clenching as he bit back the disbelieving scoff- doubting it would help at the current time.
He keeps his gaze averted for a moment longer, giving Brutus a moment more, then turning back to him.
“Will you take the potion?” he asked, gentler now, but still not entirely certain on what- precisely- the outcome was. “From the healer or should I hand it do you.”
The calming memory brought Brutus back into the moment. The pain made one of his eyes close and tighten his grip on his tunic. He was stable, at least for now.
“I’ll take it. I’m... sorry for causing such a problem.” He focused on taking a few deep breaths. Cole vanished from their presence with a smile on his face. “I know sorry isn’t going to make up for what I just did but for what it’s worth- I’m sorry.”
