Daughter - The Right Way Around

Oh my god do I know that you want me back. The desire seeps through your blue eyes that seem to find me in any space we share. In the way, even to this day, you perk up at any indication that I am near. In your inability to finish what I have started, even at the cost of your own students sometimes. And I would be the greatest liar in the world if I said that some part of my heart doesn’t still long for this warmth you’ve had towards me since day one. Such undeniable love and loyalty, a dog would be jealous. A dog would’ve been jealous of your puppy eyes as well, and oh, do I miss them.

It, once again, proves my conviction. Because, if I can leave all of this, all of you, behind, it must mean that I am doing something I truly believe in, right?
