“We’ll find her.” Ana didn’t respond, just turned her head toward the window. It felt warm as the sun beat down on the van. She wanted to wince and back away but instead she closed her eyes. She was so tired. “I hope so.” It was quiet for a while. Not silent, just quiet. Only a few sounds could be heard, flipping of pages and quiet humming. The song had been turned down with Julie messing with something in her bag. Ana tried to pretend she was a kid again in her mom’s car late at night. With Maria gently brushing her hair and humming to coax Ana into sleep, but when she opened her eyes it was still late afternoon in Danny’s van. And Maria was still missing. -- Ana and her friends go out to find her missing sister, Maria. Everything takes a turn for the worse as Ana meets a strange man, and realizes what really happened to Maria.
