Dua for Iman

Imaan - Belief in Islam,

رَضِيتُ باللهِ رَبَّاً، وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِيناً، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَى اللهُ عَلِيهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَبِيَّاً

Radheetu billaahi Rabban, wa bil-'Islaami deenan, wa bi-Muhammadin (salAllahu alayhi wa'sallam) Nabiyyan

I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion and with Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) as my Prophet.

Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) has promised that anyone who says this three times every morning or evening will be pleased on the day of Resurrection.

Ahmad 4/ 337, An-Nasa'i, 'Amalul-Yawm wal-Laylah p. 4, Ibn As-Sunni (no. 68), At-Tirmithi 5/465. Its chain of transmission is good (Hasan), Ibn Baz, p. 39.

Surah Taha

قَالَ بَصُرْتُ بِمَا لَمْ يَبْصُرُوا بِهِ فَقَبَضْتُ قَبْضَةً مِّنْ أَثَرِ الرَّسُولِ فَنَبَذْتُهَا وَكَذَٰلِكَ سَوَّلَتْ لِي نَفْسِي ٢٠:٩٦

قَالَ فَاذْهَبْ فَإِنَّ لَكَ فِي الْحَيَاةِ أَن تَقُولَ لَا مِسَاسَ ۖ وَإِنَّ لَكَ مَوْعِدًا لَّن تُخْلَفَهُ ۖ وَانظُرْ إِلَىٰ إِلَٰهِكَ الَّذِي ظَلْتَ عَلَيْهِ عَاكِفًا ۖ لَّنُحَرِّقَنَّهُ ثُمَّ لَنَنسِفَنَّهُ فِي الْيَمِّ نَسْفًا ٢٠:٩٧

إِنَّمَا إِلَٰهُكُمُ اللَّهُ الَّذِي لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا ٢٠:٩٨

He said, "I saw what they did not see, so I took a handful [of dust] from the track of the messenger and threw it, and thus did my soul entice me." 20:96

[Moses] said, "Then go. And indeed, it is [decreed] for you in [this] life to say, 'No contact.' And indeed, you have an appointment [in the Hereafter] you will not fail to keep. And look at your 'god' to which you remained devoted. We will surely burn it and blow it into the sea with a blast. 20:97

Your god is only Allah, except for whom there is no deity. He has encompassed all things in knowledge." 20:98

Dua for pain

When feeling some pain in the body,

بِسْمِ اللهِ , بِسْمِ اللهِ , بِسْمِ اللهِ

أَعُوذُ باللهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مَنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ

Bismillah, Bismillah, Bismillah

'A'udhu billaahi wa qudratihi min sharri maa 'ajidu wa 'uhaadhiru

In the Name of Allah

I seek refuge in Allah and in His Power from the evil of what I find and of what I guard against.

Place your hand on the site of the pain and say Bismillah (three times) followed by the dua (seven times)

Surah Ar-Ra'd

لَهُ دَعْوَةُ الْحَقِّ ۖ وَالَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ لَا يَسْتَجِيبُونَ لَهُم بِشَيْءٍ إِلَّا كَبَاسِطِ كَفَّيْهِ إِلَى الْمَاءِ لِيَبْلُغَ فَاهُ وَمَا هُوَ بِبَالِغِهِ ۚ وَمَا دُعَاءُ الْكَافِرِينَ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَالٍ ١٤

وَلِلَّهِ يَسْجُدُ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ طَوْعًا وَكَرْهًا وَظِلَالُهُم بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالْآصَالِ ١٥

To Him [alone] is the supplication of truth. And those they call upon besides Him do not respond to them with a thing, except as one who stretches his hands toward water [from afar, calling it] to reach his mouth, but it will not reach it [thus]. And the supplication of the disbelievers is not but in error [i.e. futility]. 13:14

And to Allah prostrates whoever is within the heavens and the earth, willingly or by compulsion, and their shadows [as well] in the mornings and the afternoons. 13:15

Dua for forgiveness

Allah's forgiveness and mercy upon us,

أَنْتَ وَلِيُّنَا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا ۖ وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْغَافِرِينَ

وَاكْتُبْ لَنَا فِي هَٰذِهِ الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ إِنَّا هُدْنَا إِلَيْكَ

Anta waliyyuna faghfirlana warhamna waant khayru alghafireen.

Waktub lana fee hathihi ddunya hasanatan wafee al-alkhiratiina hudna ilayk.

(O my Lord) You are our Protector, so forgive us and have mercy upon us; and You are the best of forgivers.

And ordain for us good in this world, and in the Hereafter. Certainly we have turned unto You.

This dua was asked by Prophet Musa (peace be upon him)

May Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) one day grant me a pious husband that I can be half his Deen, with a beard as long as my niqab to walk with me in Dunya and learn Deen with. A precious daughter that I can lead and be a model for her to follow in the Deen and as a Muslimah. A son to follow his father and be an example for fellow Muslimeen in the Deen, and a pious man. In sha Allah my home will be filled with laughter and happiness; loving for the sake of Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala).
