Cristobal Guerra aka Christopher Kent aka Lor-Zod aka the Phantom Prince

Born to Dru-Zod and Ursa Dun-Ar, Lor was the miracle child of the Phantom Zone, proof that their infinite barren prison could produce something truly new. Lor remains the only Kryptonian to be born this way, and it’s afforded him strange abilities, including retaining physical form within the Zone and control over a physical “darkness” that metahumans like The Shade and alien races like the Talokites had mastered, only he seemed to draw from a different sort enitrely: The Nightwing, an ancient bat-like God of Night worshiped by earlier Kryptonian civilizations, used as secret identity by Van-Zee and his successor, Ak-Var, in defending Kandor (themselves inspired by Kal-El’s stories of his odd friend who liked to dress like a small, screaming mammal and dispense justice.)

Lor’s relationship with his family is complicated. Raised by Clark Kent and Lois Lane for some time, he came to see Lara and Jon as his adopted siblings, but his devotion to his biological parents led him to returning to their side. This kept on until Lor was finally reunited with his older brother, Val, living under the name Hernan. Lor picked a new human name as well, Cristobal, and abandoned the Great Houses of Krypton he had found himself caught between. Val and Lor lived and worked simple, honest lives even as continued to carry out the heroic legacy of their family, the Curse of El to forever fight the never-ending fight.

It was during this period of his life that Lor met Thara, the daughter of Ak-Var, the first Flamebird and second Nightwing of Kandor. As the new Flamebird, Thara had awakened the same connection to an ancient god as Lor had, only she had greater power and less control of this strange phoenix force.

Lor felt a duty to help out his fellow avatar, especially with another, less savory counterpart to both of them on the prowl, but things looked different to Val. To Val, it looked like his little brother was finally in love.
