Went to see it again - here's my second full writeup. 8th June 2022

Spoilers under cut

I spent my first loop with the potter, Laocoon, Prometheus, Rotwang, Schliemann. I'm not sure what his name is. He started (or, I caught him) at the sake bar. He cleared the bar top and then made a model of the czech hedgehoc and poured blood from a sake bottle on it. Some went on his face.

Then he went around a bit, watched the troy main square for a bit, spoke to Zagreus, who asked him if he "really still believed?" to which he replied that he did.

We went up to the first floor, he went in through the Elysium hotel, where he smeared blood onto the waterfall painting, making the flow of water (and therefore time?) go backwards. He seemed sad about it.

Then we went up to the freaky corridor (freaky corridor my beloved) where he tapped on a lamp - three fast taps on the glass shade, three slow taps on the wall below on alternating sides, and then a swipe across the bottom. Need to check if this is a Linear B letter. He has two egg shaped rocks, one of which is an ocarina or similar - he whistles through it.

He ran into Polydorus up there, warned him he was in danger. Polydorus, a teen, recoiled from the crazy hobo and left. He was in danger. Oh well.

The potter made his way into Polymestor's office, and opened the door to the Moloch statue. I saw the receipt for the statue this time - he definitely made it, and it's definitely moloch. After placing his hands up on the statues hands and prostrating himself onto it (there was fog), Cassandra came in. They looked at each other (recognition of two precogs?) (blighted by the gods) (future knowledge sucks thats why everyone's drinking the waters of the lethe) and then slpit. He went into the Club side of the office, and Agamemnon came into the office side with Cassandra. They danced in a surprisingly non-horny way, while the potter did a ritual with his bottle of blood. Banger of a track this time - i've got to download it. I think it's the schlepp geist one on the playlist. His dance here was animalistic, made me think about the minotaur. (There's a strange absence of Theseus in this play.)

He dashed blood against the window and left - annoyingly he jumped down off the bridge leading out of the office, onto the roof of the sake shop. Luckily I knew where the stairs were and caught him lmao im the best.

Then he walked through the streets, and went into the graffiti hallway, where he drew sigils on the walls (a circle with a cross in, a Y with a line through, an inverted christian cross - again gotta check if these are Linear B or something else. The first one is Earth's alchemical/planetary symbol I think)

Then he went into Neoptolemus' tent, on the endge of Troy, and sketched a snake out of a magazine he kept in his bag. There was a 1:1 with someone else, where he told some sort of story about a giant snake. Possibly eating someone he loved? Not sure - I didn't get the 1:1. There was a lot of arm touching. Anyway then he left to go back to his studio.

The studio only has one door, with the side wall seemingly covering a hole with a roll of paper and tape, but I didn't look in it bc he was there all the time and it seemed rude to fuck up his wall.

Anyway then he carved figurines for like 20 minutes straight. I only stayed cause I had a soft spot. Somewhere in this period, he went into the main square and hung out by the flower cart, only for a woman (later recognised as Persephone) to come out of a fountain? very wet? and confused? Not sure if that happens every loop. It's a very small fountain. I'll put it on the map in v2 I suppose.

This is where I think the loop ended but I didn't hear the reset msuic so I kept following him. After this, he went back and carved for a while, then walked out to the small square, and it turned out he was the hanging guy who Cassandra sees in her first premonition.

Anyway it was at this point i realised i was stuck into loop 2 but I'd missed the beginning. I wanted to catch the Troy finale, so loop 3 I wanted to be in Troy. So I went for a walk. Saw Eurydice offer solace and sake to a greek soldier who killed Polyxena - not achilles or agamemnon. One of the other ones. I also saw Aegisthus performing in the sexy windows in the horrible latex mask. But not for long. It was quite horrible.

Saw the box room, looked inside the boxes. There fully is a dead horse in one. Went back to the Czech Hedgehogs to amrvel, adn then looked for secret rooms. Couldn't find the artemis shrine, the rooms behind the gate thing or the ones up by iphigenia's bedroom :/ I saw a lil bit of clytemnestra and agamemnon but I saw them last time so I didn't linger. Then I went to the bar, bc i remembered I was supposed to meet my friend lmao but she wasn't there. Aremis and Apollo were, they danced to Blue Monday and that was a banger, Artemis was beautiful and having a great time. I'm in love etc etc.

Uhhh then I think it was the end of the loop. I was only a bit sure it was the top of loop 3 so I was feeling time pressure. Spent my third loop with Hades - best choice so far.

Caught him riiight at the start of Hecuba's loop in the main square, and went into his office with a group. He spoke about how he feels when Persephone wasn't there - like the world is fake and flawed. Full of shades. Almost LiKe A ThEaTrE SeT. He used to be a picture in a story book, then he was a camera, capturing the things what went past. He was clearly excited for her return. He also spoke about things starting to feel real again when she comes back. He used the phrase "when things begin to flow". There was a woman asked if she understood but she kept backing away and didn't react, she seemed really worried! Sensible tbh

Then he crossed to mycenae, to caress Agamemnon's head as he descended the ladder, bafore the sacrifice, and to watch the sacrifice from the other side with a lil pair of binoculars. Cute. Then he left sharpish and went back to Troy, meeting up with Persephone and her crowd in his office. At no point did she seem happy.

In there, they played checkers for a short period of time (til it looked like P was going to win!) until Persephone dropped a set of keys onto the board. Outside, Polyxena died; you could see and hear it through the windows. As that happened, Hades had a sort of panic attack in slow mo, and Persephone had a great Laura Palmer Black Lodge Scream Moment. He moved to the window, head in hands and still silently screaming, curled over. She sat next to him, straight-backed. making eye contact with the audience. Shades mill around outside in indistinct shapes in the darkness.

They do a ?tango? is the best way I can describe it, she maneuvers him into parts of it, but he eventually regains his body. They dance in an increasingly-horny manner til he ends up on his back on his desk. She feeds him pomegramate while sitting on him. It's horny but also sad and bad. Idk the vibes were bad in a deliberate way. I feel bad for both of them.

Anyway after he regained his composure and his feet, they unlocked the door (with the Troy Welcomes You! keychain on the wall hooks) and it was time for the Troy Finale.

I had seen the smaller blinding scene before in the club but this finale version was a lot bigger and easier to see. It also had a lot more empty space in it? But same music. Blade vampire club scene track. Fuck yeah.

Slipped out at the end and caught the Mycenae finale too. It's still a bit impenetrable. Artemis had her top off and she's gorgeous holy shit.

And that was the end this time! The bar does now stock whiskey (Dewars scotch) so I'll have to update the map w that too.

Next time I want to see a Polymestor Loop (ideally with beard guy from my first time rather than the black guy from this time - idk i just preferred his nuances) and also see what's up with Clytemnestra's maid.

My friend had a cool 1:1 with the woman who works at Aligheris' (hat shop) in Troy which took her through a lot of locked doors, and through a passage from the Auto shop (to the left of the palladium) to the ticket shop on the other side of the palladium doors. Lots of cool stuff there but I didn't get details.

Misc notes:

there are indeed 2 parallel tunnels from mycenae to troy and they look the same. theyre also shorter than i remember.

then on the troy side it opens out to the strange corner shaped room with clipped gold/bronze metal leaves on the ceiling

then after that is two doors marked palladium but not, that leads into the border control.

then it turns a corner to the right and straight ahead is the neon flower shop. Sexy windows, then DDR to the left of that and then troy is through the next set of doors or off to the right.

the artemis shrine i put on the map is a fire escape I think

there are toilets in troy!

time to learn linear B i guess

It's def got better since the previews. Set design seems neater, and the dangerous crates at knee level have been moved. The sheet maze is way more populated now. the border patrol/DDR hallway seems more full but im not sure. Polydorus now does parkour shit after he dies! Im so glad its better.

ok so i was tagged by @tantamount-treason to do this lil thing??? and ive been blessed w a bunch of new besties lately and im bored <3

1. vulnerability is..

i think most people see vulnerability as a weakness because thats what the media has always portrayed it as, but its really a strength in my opinion. being afraid of vulnerability can be so isolating and prevent us from forming solid, intimate relationships with people. learning how to be vulnerable and embracing vulnerability is learning how to understand ur emotions and how to project them in a way thats authentic. it sounds like bullshit but i swear once u realize being vulnerable is actively choosing to be open and honest about ur emotions ur life can get so much easier

2. you’re called to do something brave, but your fear is real and stuck in your throat. what is the first thing you do?

honestly…. doing something brave… being the overthinker i am that wording is leading me to believe that something perilous is involved and i just dont do well under pressure so probably i would cry and panic :) and do like a cute quick little pros and cons list idk this feels like a very time sensitive thing and thats just not my strong suit

3. what is something people often get wrong about you?

that im super confident and social and that i can easily talk to anyone. while i understand why people think this way, im actually only talkative because im nervous and dont like uncomfortable silence so im overcompensating by making pointless and fast paced conversation.

4. whats the last show you binged and loved?

maybe the good place or big little lies! i rewatched them both recently and theyre just literally perfect shows idk

5. give us a film you really love!!!

AHHH i have so many wtf um…i really enjoy the 2018 smash hit box office ball buster “ophelia” with rey from star wars (ms. daisy ridley) its just so good and it was all i could think of at the moment but i have so many movies that id die for and love so much so i dont think its fair to rank them

6. a concert you’ll never forget?

i went to atlive last november to see cage the elephant and greta van fleet but metallica was headlining. i assumed the metallica fans would be kind and caring but these specific fans were the exact opposite and ruined the experience for me sadly and ill never forget it since it was my first time seeing cage and theyre my favorite band in the universe :/// but thankfully i did get to see their performance as well as gretas and they both did awesome!!

7. whats ur favorite meal ?

bro i couldnt even tell you… some soup or bread idk hot girl meals u kno the drill

8. whats on ur nightstand right now?

ok so context. my nightstand is a three tier corner shelf so i put like my drinks n shit on there sometimes and like my rings but its mostly for decoration so right now on the top shelf we have 2 edward scissorhand funko pops and a fishtank cool tree decoration and an incense burner that looks like a japanese tower thing? and also a dobby figurine, then the next shelf down we have a shelf dedicated to frog memorabilia and has a salt lamp on it and then the next shelf down has some stuffies and books and a sketchpad!!

9. give us a snapshot of an ordinary moment in your life that brings you great joy.

this is hard bc i think i dont take the time to actually reflect on all the small simple things that bring me joy very often but recently ive started coloring in childrens coloring books (not the adult coloring books those r too elaborate) and that brings me so much joy. showering and being in the shower also brings me so much joy and peace i just feel so cut off from the world in the shower its nice :’)

10. what is one thing you’re deeply grateful for right now?

my cat! her name is newspaper but also bestie. like newspaper is her official name but i literally only call her bestie and she likes it. also my frog willie nelson i love him so much and i hope he lives forever and is immortal and rules the world. i also am thankful for books for being a place for me to run to when i feel really bad bc thats been happening kinda alot recently. OH and ofc for all my new pals as well as my old jackass pals aka my bff, boyfriend, husband, and life coach johnny knoxville aka pj clapp my angel <3

literally if anyone read all of these shit ramblings i will give u a big ole kiss on the cheek with consent bc thats fucking crazy and most of it was probably illegible so thank u

2 cute ass kidsss

they’re six and four

a boy and a girl

minhyuk,,,he’s 6 and hes best friends with seungcheol’s 6 year old son, wonwoo’s twin boys and joshua’s daughter eunbi

minhyuk is exactly like his dad, a little too big for his age, clumsy and v v v happy all the time

he likes animals a lot and whined at mingyu so much that mingyu begged joshua to take minhyuk with him on his and his daughters zoo dates

minhyuk basically lives in seungcheol’s house and seungcheol is so happy about that

minhee, she’s 4 and she’s a delight.....everyone’s best friend basically

she’s especially close with jun’s 4 year old son chaohua and seungkwan’s 4 year old daughter yeona

and she loves all the babies,,,,she’s obsessed with any type of baby

she has a huge collection of stuffed animals and calls them all baby cow, baby bear, puppy, kitty or baby (whatever name of the animal)

mingyu literally adores her and she adores mingyu

even though shes a mama’s girl

mingyu spends almost 100% of his time with his kids....but minhyuk is starting to get very rowdy and hyper so mingyu is always out of breath when he goes out to play in the back garden w his son

he comes in through the terrace doors,,, sweating,,,,panting......and hair pushed back, his sweater abandoned on the grass outside as minhyuk continues to climb on the swingset

he spoils his children the most, always playing with them and doting on them,,,,not only is mingyu a great dad.,,,..but he’s also everyone’s favorite uncle,,,,

bc he always plays with all the kids and play fights with them

so he’s basically a kid magnet,,,,2 and or more kids all over him at basically any time of day

convinced you to let your kids co sleep.....and got a bigger bed when minhyuk turned 3 and started getting bigger instead of teaching him to sleep in his room

loves his kids more than anything and loves the other boys kids and any kids tbh,,,,

also constantly begging you for a dog.....gets his son in on the begging and is conspiring with your daughter to also join in the begging,.,.,.,

he wants a dog he’s gonna get a dog....its that or a new baby you choose for yourself

seokmin:

1 kid........so far

seokmin is so emotionally invested in his son....and he doesnt know if he can mentally take another one

bc he cries at everything your son does

he’s just THAT proud ooookay

taemin....is three and he just learned to talk properly

he’s running, eating solid food, sitting by the table at dinner time, learning to listen to what his parents ask of him

and everytime he does anything seokmin tears up

the fisrt time taemin smiled.......seokmin started sobbing into his hands and then taemin started crying and you had to comfort two babies

seokmin often calls taemin by his most used pet names....,, ‘tae, minnie or my star’

seokmin and taemin are best friends.....their favorite thing is building legos and puzzles.....and they love cartoons

seokmin gets so invested in these kid cartoons its literally all he talks about sjdfjs

taemin is the calmes kid ever he has the best temrament and never gets cross or angry

sometimes he whines or cries a little

but mostly bc he’s tired or hungry

taemin is a little on the shy side to seokmin often brings taemin on playdates to soonyoung’s house

bc hanbyul is the complete oposite of taemin and they teach each other how to balance out their personalities a little

and bc of this they become best friends rlly quickly

and because hanbyul has a little brother taemin starts wanting a sibling...

bc he thinks hanbyul is really cool and wants to be like her

he’s basically soonyoung’s kids’ biggest fan

seokmin gets so stressed about tae wanting a sibling lmao bc he wants to give his son the world but he’s so scared to have another one bc what if he doesnt handle it well what if he’s not a good father what if he gets too stressed and yells at his babies what if-

and you just have to hug him and tell him he’s alright

and that you dont need another kid if he’s not ready

but one day seokmin takes tae to the park and he sees tae sitting alone in the sandbox while a set of older twin girls play beside him...and tae is just staring at the girls but more in a ‘ooo that looks fun but i dont wanna disturb’ way

and he changes his mind right then....he wants taemin to have a sibling and he also wants more kids bc......look at that little human...thats my human....i made that little star.....wow

minghao:

minghao has two kids

two girls

meihui, 2,,,

the most determined and lively 2 year old ever

climbs on anything....has already figured out how to get on top of the kitchen counter

she’s an explorer and puts everything in her mouth including dirt, insects and the family cats paws

a dancer.....literally dances to any music

her favorite song is all night by f(x) hhhh

qiaohui is his second born daughter, she’s only 6 months

she’s very small because she was a premature baby....she was born almost four weeks before the due date

so she’s a little fighter

she’s just learning how to use her arms and turn around by herself

and minghao is so so proud of his little baby

mei is starting her terrible twos and fusses a lot,,,,

she’s a feisty little lady and probably the one out of all the kids that yells and screams the most

minghao is so patient with her too is adorable

whenever she refuses to put on her clothes or eat and starts screaming and wailing and throws herself onto the floor he just stands there watching her with an unamused expression waiting for her to stop

and if she doesnt he just sits down beside her and continues to calmly ask her if she’s gonna stop screaming and get dressed because she cant climb onto the counter when she has to leave for her doctor’s appointment in 20 minutes

a very good father

so loving and patient

on the stricter side and is trying his hardest to teach mei not to climb onto stuff that’s too high bc she will fall off and hurt herself

lowkey a huge fluffball for his daughters and will fight anyone who ever tires to hurt them

mei isnt only terrible though,,,,shes a fun girl who likes to dance with her dad or play with her animal figurines and loves showing them off to her parents and name them

mei is also very indipendent and is already sleeping in her own bed and using the potty!!! big girl!!

minghao is a laidback dad, v v v patient and calm but also will dicipline when his girls breaks the rules.....but they rarely do bc minghao is a good parent and raises his kids RIGHT u best believe

JAPAN TRIP 2k19 with Mod Elesa (1/?)

hey n’yall it’s mod elesa, lemme tell u bout my japan trip! u can find some of the photos of these events on my instagram @atel2er! i didn’t want to flood this post with pictures hehe ,,

GENERAL STUFF

went for school, study abroad trip to study visualization and simulation of “serious games” that businesses buy and use (but i dont feel like talking abt it since this is the FUN POST

may 10-26

the flight was 11 hours, p easy, i didn’t know anybody going into the trip because i didn’t go to any of the meetings HAHhaHEHA

whatever. everyone on the trip initially came off as if they had yellow fever and i was like ... i’m really not trying to interact with FETISHIZERS

turns out they were all really cool! only this one kid was a real weeaboo who was greasy and tall and a neckbeard who kept talking about being “culturally insensitive” and speaking japanese constantly to the teacher and the TA like ... ok patrick we get it you flex

i stayed in a hotel in shinjuku! everything is so small and i used the bidets for the first time and WOO chile that shit feels FUNKY on your asshole

i visited shinjuku major (kabukicho aka red light district, couple other places!), ikebukuro (THE MEGA POKEMON CENTER), mt fuji, fuji q highland, akihabara, hamamatsucho (area where tokyo tower is), HARAJUKU, and the emperor’s palace! i’m probably forgetting some places since we went to a lot of temples and shrines that were cool ...

the public transportation in japan is scarily on time.. like, by the second. they apologize if they’re one minute early and will wait until the scheduled time before they move omg

the subway stations have their own jingles! they kind of act as an alarm system because a lot of people sleep on the subway (which is why people generally don’t talk on it) and will recognize the jingle for their stop!

the crowded hours on the subway are noon and 6-8pm... like, its insane. it’s actually packed like sardines in there.

EVERYONE THERE IS SO SHORT.... i was taller than a lot of the grown men there (i’m 5′4″ or 162 cm for reference) and most people were around 5 feet tall... the only people taller than me were some kids around my age and this gaggle of japanese schoolgirls who were like 5′7+ and i was like. sis you’re 13, why are you that tall

pokemon is EXTREMELY prevalent in japan wherever you go. there’s pikachu stickers on taxis, pikachu is on ads on the subway and at the AIRPORT, pokemon go is widely played by a lot of people and so many of the people in my group played it so i got conned into playing again. i leveled up 5 times within 3 days and honestly? i’m god

anime is very normal there... i know that sounds all “weeby” but a lot of normal shops had animated mascots and there were ads for anime all over the place.

literally gacha machines everywhere i spent a lot of coins on gacha machines plz kill me

the homies in japan loooove crepes. they sold so many crepes. everywhere. just crepes. also spaghetti carbonara! and corndogs HAHAHA

the food there is so cheap but SOOO GOOD. sushi isn’t all that expensive at all?? like a set of 16 pieces is 1080Y... meanwhile that cost in america is like. $6000 HAHAHAHAH.

very humid? at all times? also the RAIN is debilitating if u make one wrong step you will slip and die (like i did! i stepped on a tile and fucking fell into a puddle! i have bruises still!)

SHINJUKU (detective pikachu day, may 10)

i went to go see detective pikachu on its release day in shinjuku! before that, i went to a couple sega buildings--

the sega buildings are 4 story buildings FILLED with claw machines holding stuffed animals, figurines, candy, all kinds of stuff. when i went, there was a lot of detective pikachu-related stuff. i saw this detective pikachu hat in one of the machines and spent 1000Y (about $10) or 10 attempts at the claw machine ... i still can’t believe i got it ... nobody was there to see it besides me and i YELLED when it dropped

i wore the hat that entire day around shinjuku because i honestly felt like god. people would point at me and go like “ah! meitantei pikachu!” and smile at me. i was a celebrity. i wore the hat into the movie theatre, i wore it through the entire movie, and when i was walking out, someone tapped on my shoulder and asked for my picture. she was all nervous about her english and was like “i love your hat. may i take a picture?” and i was like omG YES U CAN... sweet bab... so that’s the first photo of me that ended up on some random person’s phone

we waited around for the mass of people to exit the theatre and then left, and we ran into her again! she asked me more questions about the hat: “did you make it?” “no, i got it in a claw machine in the sega building.” she looked dumbfounded. “in shinjuku?” “yes.” “in the sega building? over there?” “yeees.” “in a claw machine?!” “yes!” “ah! i thought you made it! it’s so cute! i’m going to get one for myself.” “lol ok have fun”

i learned that its customary to stay until the very end of the credits before leaving a movie out of respect for the people who made it! meanwhile in america we walk out when the credits roll FHDSKFJS OOPIES

SHINJUKU (visit #2)

we went in the night time to go see the red light district aka kabuki-cho because thats where a lot of the bars are

i don’t drink so i didn’t join the people who went to the bars to get CRUNK, so i dragged two other guys with me and we walked around the red light district

I SAW SO MANY HOST CLUBS. so many maid cafes. so many bars. i saw a love hotel too... i was like... i wanna go inside... Blease... and my friends were like “you’re so weird KHEDJFSk” and im like “I WAS GOOGLING THESE IN CLASS TODAY, I DIDN’T THINK THEY WERE REAL”

my friend sean (he’s from taipei, cool guy, could read a lot of the kanji so we used him to navigate the subway HAHA) was walking with me that night and we saw this hole in the wall that had stairs going down to a peep show ... homegirl had her whole ass out on the sign... tiddies covered with caution tape ... i said MAAM?

one of the signs in kabuki-cho had a woman doing straight up ahegao with (what i’m pretty sure was) nut on her face. it was a small sign and i was the only one who saw it. i lost my shit. it was the funniest thing ever

kabuki-cho is really really dirty... like people straight up litter all the time bc there’s no trashcans around? so people throw their shit on the ground? and everyone steps on it... very seedy area, very gross, but i was absolutely enthralled with the nightlife and the blatant sexual vibes half the places had!

some dude stopped me and started speaking english saying “do you like karaoke? you should come drink with me for two hours, it’s a great price if you drink a lot” and i was like “no... i have to go home” and he’s like “come onnnn it’s a good price” and i was like. i’m not very assertive with men so i started panicking and my friend sean (A GOD AMONG MEN) started speaking chinese to him and he backed off ... i love you sean you’re so fucking COOL

IKEBUKURO (pokemon mega center)

so there’s this huge mall. i forgot the name, but it’s got like a lot of floors and they’re MASSIVE

on the 2rd floor is the MEGA POKEMON CENTER!!! i was so HYPED to go in there!!! it was teeming with people but there was just... so much stuff. all kinds of merch. they had plushies of the original 151, a shitton of really cool tshirts, a whole block for detective pikachu-themed merch (pins, socks, canvas bags, shirts, patches, hats, etc), and sooo much more. there’s a giant charizard statue when you walk in, as well as a statue of a pokestop HAHA. i was so excited and i wanted to buy so many things when i was in there bc they had stuff for all the legendaries (LATIOS AND LATIAS STUFF WERE THERE I WAS SO HAPPY)!!! literally anything you can think of, they had in some kind of pokemon print. including underwear. yeah i said it. here’s a really good article that showcases some of the stuff they sold there!

i actually went there a second time but it was packed for a different reason. some idol group was performing on the ground floor and a shitton of girls were screaming fanchants while their jpop boys danced LOLLL. now i know how people see kpop stans ...

AKIHABARA (i went like 8 times)

we went to the maid cafe. of course we fucking did. i got a dreamland passport and some cat ears. THE MAIDS ALL LOVED HATSUNE MIKU

SPEAKING OF HATSUNE MIKU AKA MY GODDESS, she was pretty popular in akihabara! she was also on some posters in the subway stations (across tokyo, not just in akihabara) and was apparently having some magical mirai concert???

there’s this giant tower called radio kaikan thats right outside the akihabara station that’s filled with all sorts of anime shit. i spent so much money in there. Good God. there was a furret plush for 5400Y and i was so STINGY that day i shouldve BOUGHT IT.... it was a longboi and i was like... sis!!!!

remember how i said my brain didn’t register that yen had monetary value? yeah i spent hundreds of dollars here no cap ...

i went to a kaguya-sama cafe as well on another day bc my friend joe (one of the figureine-collecting weebs) wanted to go and get a chika coaster

i went into a three floor sex shop and gave no fucks, the bottom floor was filled with bdsm shit and LEATHER SCHOOLGIRL OUTFITS and it was WILD. and these two old men were just casually browsing this shit like we weren’t both looking at whips and buttplugs in Public you know

i wasn’t fazed by a lot of the stuff there bc i read Funky fanfiction but the people i went in there with were major uncomfy ... i was like PRUDES HAJKFDAHDS i almost bought something don’t tell anybody

OKAY SO. there’s this place called super potato that has a floor dedicated to old games and consoles. they had so many gameboy advances and gamecubes and old consoles (famicom, dreamcast etc) for CHEAP. they had a gameboy color for 4900Y and a gamecube for 5600Y. a bitch almost cried. they had every old pokemon game under the sun (the original red, blue, yellow, gold and silver) and i ,,, they were 480Y. they were 480Y. that’s five fucking dollars. do you know how much collectors pay for that shit on ebay? HUNDREDS. i could’ve mass bought those and sold them and made so much cash but I DIDN’T.

that store had an original unopened copy of super smash bros melee and pokemon colosseum and i was like... wait if i cop a gamecube i could play pokemon collosseum like a true g... ((i didn’t cop))

but anyways there were a lot of games that didn’t make it to america (including mother 3! which my friend connor bought! as well as the console to play it!) and just... so many old things i grew up with ...

whenever i walked out of the super potato we’d end up in an alley where all the girls who work at cafes were advertising their stuff

i always took the flyers from the girls bc they spoke their cute english to me and i was like... i’d die for you, yknow that?

ALL KINDS OF CAFES. regular maid cafe, pirate cafe, ninja cafe (you could do that thing where you karate chop a wooden block in half), sailor cafe (as in actual ship captains), shrine maiden cafe, vampire cafe, prince cafe (for the ladies ;3), catgirl cafe, bunny girl cafe... i took all of the goddamn flYERS THEY WERE ALL SO CUTE :( i wanted to go so bad...

FUJI Q HIGHLAND (also known as the time i flipped my shit and went on rollercoasters)

when i found out about fuji-q, i told my group that we HAD to go. i didn’t want to go to an onsen. i wanted to go to fuji-q. i had to. i love rollercoasters, it’s my passion, my driving fORCE IN LIFE

so fuji-q is home to 4 record-breaking rollercoasters! u got fast boi aka jojo reference do-dodonpa; EXTREME TALL BOI fujiyama; superior to x2 at six flags eejanaika; and the steepest rollercoaster in the world TAKABISHA ... i got to ride fujiyama, eejanaika, and takabisha! the scariest one was probably fujiyama despite it being very cut and dry up for... ever ... 79 meters ... oh god ... i lost my shit on the way down ladies let me TELL YOU

FUJIYAMA ALSO HAS A VIEW OF MT FUJI AND I WAS LIK E”YO GUYS ITS MT FUJI” and then we went down and i screamed

anyways the fuji-q park was having a sword art online collaboration when i visited, so they played SAO music and had cardboard cutouts for them across the park... kirito’s ride was fujiyama (aka the king of them all). i forgot the other ones but those alicization kiddos were there but ion care about ALICE OR EUGEO

the first ride i went on was eejanaika which is a 4d rollercoaster, pretty epic, total Baby Ride though

i went on as a single rider so i ended up getting put in this group with these college kids! the guy i was sitting next to spoke to me in english and asked basic questions: “where are you from?”, “is this [ride] easy for you?”, “how old are you?”, basic stuff. he asked why i was in japan and i told him i was studying at waseda university, and he immediately perked up and went “I GO TO WASEDA!!! WASEDA YEAH!!!” and fist bumped me ... his friends were giggling and kept asking him to ask me questions and it was just. so wholesome.

when we were abt to get on the ride he looks at me and says “my name is soichiro. call me so-chan ok??” and i was like... “so-chan” and his friENDS ALL STARTED GIGGLIGN AND I WAS LIKE U///W///U

while we were going up on the ride, he kept yelling “JESUS FUCK YOU JESUS CHRIST” and my favorite: “JESUS CHRIST WHAT THE FUCK YOU” because apparently fuck cannot be standalone! “what the fuck you” is my new fave insult (i miss you so-chan)

afterwards he kept coughing and was like. dead. his soul left his body. so i asked in him japanese like,,, “daijobu ka?” and he was like “nai.” and i just laughed at him bc BA B Y SO-CHAN CANT HANDLE SOME SPINS

i bought a corndog at fuji-q at this place called arirang hotdog which is a korean style hotdog place??? BRUH that shit is so good but i shat myself for a good minute afterwards ... damn i want those corndogs

sadly i did not get to go on do-dodonpa because nobody wanted to ride with me and i didn’t want to go by myself >:/// still mad abt that bc that was the FAST BOI ...

also. takabisha. the guiness world record with the 121 degree drop. not even scary. BUT they do hang you there for like 3 seconds before making you go down and i was like “YALL FUCKIN WITH ME” really loud when they hung us there ... PLS watch a pov video you’ll see what i mean ...

HARAJUKU (i totally forgot abt this place OH lord)

i bought ... clothes here ...

they have all those clothes with the random english words on them so OF COURSE i had to buy one AS WELL AS a hat to match!

i also bought one of those ear hats where u press the paws and the ears move ... bts inspired that one

so many people in harajuku absolutely DECKED OUT in fashion. what a bunch of legends.

apparently wearing shirts that say “babygirl” are popular here i have no clue why ,,,, also im pretty sure i remember seeing a shirt that said “call me daddy” and i’m like. Ok Japan

half the shit in english made ZERO SENSE or was SPELLED WRONG and that was common all across japan, not just on harajuku fashion pieces LMAOOOO

deadass i went to a couple businesses (fuji xerox, nissan factory, etc) and they had spelling errors all over the place... nissan really had a placard that said “Prease do not touch” AND I CACKLED hfDSKLJF ilove u nissan
