targeted boycotts are as we know the most efficient and this isn’t me calling for a boycott, but to keep people informed below the cut are lists of kpop artists with affiliations to labels mentioned on zionistsinmusic on twitter
UMG (under an american umbrella label it owns or has joint shares in highup ent [kor releases only], yg ent [bp kor releases only], the black label [somi and taeyang's kor releases only]; under capitol music group it owns or has joint shares in sm ent; under republic it owns or has joing shares in big hit [txt kor releases only], jype [twice, skz, and itzy's kor releases only], under universal music japan it has u-cube a "joint venture with" cube ent, virgin music > republic records > used as an imprint for txt jp releases; through third party distribution umg is affiliated with yuehua ent) - 4minute, apink, ateez, beast, bigbang, blackpink, boys republic (actually managed by umg), btob, bts, dean, everglow, snsd, infinite, iu, iz*one, kep1er, lim youngwoong, loona (japan), miss a (since 2012), monsta x, nct 127, p1harmony, psy (since 2012), rainbow, stray kids, shinee, somi, stayc, super junior, t-ara, the rose, triples, tri.be, twice, txt, wonder girls, xikers, and zerobaseone
note: a lot of these have (south korea) next to the name, i don’t know if that means they only have a deal for that country because other artists like stray kids and lim youngwoong don’t have that specification
REPUBLIC (owned by umg) - itzy, nayeon, nmixx, stray kids, txt, tri.be, twice, vcha
SONY (owns columbia, wakeone, dreamcatcher company; distributes modhaus, chrome ent, kq ent, starship, top media, wakeone, wm ent) - riize, ive, ateez, bts, brown eyed girls, wjsn, crayon pop, dreamcatcher, everglow, exid, monsta x's i.m (astrisked, can't find why), kep1er, lim youngwoong, stayc, tfn/t1419, the rose, triples, wings, xikers, zerobaseone

ATLANTIC (owned by warner) - got7, iu, kep1er, loossemble, p1harmony, sf9
as always if any of this information is incorrect or outdated, please feel free to correct me in a reblog or an ask and i'll update the information in this post. i'll try to keep up with any new companies that are brought up on the twitter account mentioned at the beginning of this post. i'm not here to call for a boycott of every artist mentioned here because i don't feel i am in the position to do so, but i'm not discouraging you from choosing to do so. in fact i encourage you to listen to these artists unofficially at the very least.
i'm not sure the extent to which these companies get revenue from these artists, i don't know if it's just streams or if other things like merch sales and youtube views contribute but quite a few of these artists' companies are being boycotted currently or in the near future anyway, so i would suggest you not buy any merch or watch youtube videos officially from them. this post has more info on downloading music, youtube videos (with subtitles), and the boycotts i mentioned so i hope you all will check that out too. tris @bandzboy has also been posting about and sharing twitter posts about zionism in music, especially in the kpop industry so i suggest you check out her blog as well

It's as if we just exited film awards season and now we are in Emmy For Your Consideration (FYC) season and there is already talk about possible 2024 Oscar nominees with the excellent Ben Affleck directed AIR (an interesting and engaging look at how the Michael Jordan collaboration changed the landscape for Nike and athlete campaigns forever) being bandied about. Cannes Film Festival is in May, but before that we can see some of the more pedestrian films that will be adorning theater marquees in coming months thanks CinemaCon - the annual showcase for theater owners.
Hopefully no one will be getting served with legal papers this year!
Tumblr media
CinemaCon's schedule
April 24 is International Day where there will be panels discussing the global disruption due to the pandemic, global box office and movie marketing.
Honored during International Day will be producer Barbara and her brother Andres "Andy" Muschietti (THE FLASH) as International Filmmakers of the Year and AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER will be honored with the Comscore International Box Office Achievement Award.
Sony Pictures is the studio to kick off the event. While they have not named a spotlight film, it's likely films that will be touted are: SPIDERMAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE and SPIDERMAN: BEYOND THE SPIDERVERSE
Tumblr media
(trailer for the former will drop Tuesday) ,the sex comedy NO HARD FEELINGS starring Jennifer Lawrence, the live-action HAROLD AND THE PURPLE CRAYON, Neil Bomkamp's GRAN TURISMO live-action adaptation that stars Orlando Bloom so you know it will be pants, EQUALIZER 3, KRAVEN THE HUNTER, the untitled GHOSTBUSTERS sequel, Dakota Johnson's MADAME WEB
Tumblr media
The rest of the sked
Tuesday: Will be Warner Bros. who are celebrating their 100th anniversary.
Films likely to be showcased include no-brainers like BARBIE, MEG 2: THE TRENCH, THE NUN 2, BLUE BEETLE,
Whose trailer drops tomorrow
Tumblr media
AQUAMAN AND THE LOST KINGDOM, a Timothee Chalamet double-header with DUNE PART TWO
Tumblr media
and the musical WONKA, THE COLOR PURPLE, the sequel to GODZILLA vs. KONG, Bong-Joon Ho's MICKEY 17 starring the very talented, but face like a parking meter Robert Pattinson.
Tumblr media
They will have a special screening and it will likely be THE FLASH.
Tumblr media
Wednesday will be The Walt Disney Company. Thanks to their acquisitions Disney doesn't just mean their Disney branding but 20th Century and Searchlight.
Films likely to be showcased: A HAUNTING IN VENICE, Gareth Edwards TRUE LOVE, Taika Waititi's NEXT GOAL WINS, Jonathan Majors MAGAZINE DREAMS, PETER PAN & WENDY, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3, THE LITTLE MERMAID, ELEMENTAL, INDIANA JONES AND THE DIAL OF DESTINY (which will premiere at Cannes), THEATER CAMP, THE HAUNTED MANSION, THE MARVELS

Films likely to be showcased: OPPENHEIMER, FAST X, STRAYS, POLITE SOCIETY, Alexander Payne's THE HOLDOVERS, BOOK CLUB: THE NEXT CHAPTER, the animated RUBY GELMAN: TEENAGE KRAKEN, the adaptation of the 80s series THE FALL GUY cleverly titled THE FALL GUY starring Ryan Gosling, KUNG FU PANDA 4, the untitled PLEASE DON'T DESTROY film featuring the comedy trio of SNL writers Ben Marshall, John Higgins, and Martin Herlihy (the latter two being sons of SNL writers Tim Herlihey and Steve Higgins). Essentially they are the new Lonely Island, but not funny and no rapping skills.
and Wes Anderson's stacked ASTEROID CITY
Tumblr media
Paramount will close out the night with a reception celebration TRANSFORMERS: RISE OF THE BEASTS.
Thursday Paramount is back at the gate highlighting their upcoming slate. Likely to be showcase: The Tom Cruise juggernaut MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 8: DEAD RECKONING Part One(with a very likely teaser for Part 2), TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: MUTANT MAYHEM, A QUIET PLACE DAY ONE (which comes out in 2024 but will be released before 2024's CinemaCon)
Director John Kasinski and his cast: Djimon Hounsou, Alex Wolff, Lupita Nyong'o Joseph Quinn.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
*I remember when A QUIET PLACE came out and everyone praised that an original concept was having a success - that finally, no established IP was heading up the box office. Now there's sequels and prequels to this bish.
Lionsgate will have a special presentation of their slate.
The seminal literary masterpiece turned schalmatzy film, ARE YOU THERE, GOD, IT'S ME MARGARET , THE BLACKENING (with one of the best taglines I've seen).
Tumblr media
*The skit it is based on
youtube
THE EXPENDABLES 4, WHITE BIRD: A WONDER STORY (yes, there is a WONDER universe now), SAW X, THE HUNGER GAMES: THE BALLAD OF SONGBIRDS AND SNAKES and the DIRTY DANCING sequel.

Record Labels: Monetizing or Empowering Artists?
Have you ever wondered how aspiring artists become popular, creating chart-topping hits? While it’s possible to create music independently, popular artists are most likely under a record label. Record labels release, advertise, and license their music, boosting artists' profits more than what they could achieve independently.
What are record labels?
Labels serve a vital role in the music industry by promoting artists’ talents to the public. Record labels in common serve a primary purpose, to produce master recordings. Master recordings refer to original high-quality recordings of music compositions made professionally in a studio.
Record labels license master recordings to be used in multiple forms of media, especially streaming platforms. Licensing of music refers to the ownership of music. Usually, they get a percentage for what the song or the artist earns in exchange for the benefits a label can give. It includes how the label intends to use the song, to monetize and promote it.
Labels can choose which platforms the music will be used with all the money used and earned will go through the label, including profit-generating events such as advertisement, merchandise, concerts, or gigs and concerts, and they gain a percentage of it.
In exchange for generating profit for the record label, artists get the benefits and support of the label through equipment and recording (usually professional/studio grade), exposure, and finance management. Since the label licenses and pays for the songs, they are usually in charge of managing how they get the artists across to the public, too. They promote songs, sign deals with brands and streaming platforms, and pay for radio and TV airtime. They also organize concerts to boost artist popularity.
Record labels are important because they represent popular artists and help their music reach bigger audiences. Record labels are categorized into two, major and independent record labels.
Some major labels include groups such as Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, and Warner Music Group. Artists such as IV of Spades, Paramore, Coldplay, and even most Korean pop groups, like Twice, are under the same label, Warner Music. Other major labels include Republic Records, which released “Die For You” by The Weeknd and Ariana Grande, under the same label.
Some independent record labels include Island Records and 88Rising which license artists such as Niki, Joji, and (G)I-dle. Independent record labels usually manage on their own funding, and artists might even shoulder expenses unlike major labels.
Copyright
Record labels are also the ones responsible for ensuring copyright permissions are obtained properly for the music they license. By licensing the music, record labels can legally distribute music and monetize the releases by requiring media platforms to have necessary permissions to use the artists’ music.
Disadvantages of signing an agreement with labels
The disadvantages of signing an agreement with labels may include loss of independence, which affects your creativity, liberty with releasing songs, and funding. The lack of independence may influence music career direction. Artists usually get less profit too from the songs they write due to label deductions.
Signing an agreement means the artists will be under a contract, which could mean long-term commitments outside of their decisions, and possibly it won’t be aligned with the artists’ career goals. Licensing could also mean the profit percentage, and master recording ownership, which may vary depending on terms the parties agreed on, but most likely will be handled solely by the label.

Taylor Swift and Big Machine Label Group
A good example of these disadvantages is Taylor Swift’s issue with her old record label in 2019, Big Machine Label Group, which was sold to Scooter Braun’s company, Ithaca Holdings. Taylor Swift didn’t get the chance to buy the licensing to her music before it was even sold to Braun. Since the record label was acquired by different management, that means all master recordings will be going to the new management, along with all the rights to the music she made from the start of her career until 2019 (Taylor Swift – Lover).
Should You Consider a Label as a Starting Artist?
That depends on your goals. Labels create greater opportunities, but success isn't guaranteed, as they prioritize popular artists for profit purposes. As an aspiring artist, I would still sign an agreement with a label despite said disadvantages. As mentioned earlier, the label will manage everything from marketing, especially advertising across media platforms.
I believe that artists should sign an agreement with labels that value them as an artist, where profit wouldn’t be taken for granted, and where you have the rights to your music, to your creative freedom, and contract commitment flexibilities.

It’s hi-fi (1). It’s dumb. It’s classic. It’s crunk (2). Mixed with a little Old Hollywood (3), turned down. It’s segregated. It’s young. It’s swimming pools (4). Lesson one (5). Ghost ride the whip. (6). Lien back, and let the recliner hit the back of the crack to the bass system (7). Back seat recliner. Bumper to bumper. It’s sunset Miami, Vice, minus the boulevard (8). On the beach, to sunsets and gas stations, police stations and life sentences, it’s a robbery. (9) It’s fun. It’s ding dong … . It’s run. It’s teenage dramatics, minus the mathematics. Subtract the Calculus, it’s Romeo and Juliet: “hot sex [on the beach that will make you wet]” (10). It’s purity that isn’t new to me. But, it’s puberty that is instantly moving me. For, in its purity, it’s ruining me. Flash sale. Like a flesh rolled blunt, to Blacks in Miles (11), it’s blunt face trauma. Back to miles. It’s paranoia smoked, back to back (12), back from black, back to black (13) back to pass: to Miles, then Davis, that is. (14) Patience is a virtue. But, this road rage, down this highway, could never be, reserved to, what is hurting you. Clientele. Cartel, that is. Can you tell? I told the kid. That it is illegal, I meant. Grand theft auto, for the bricks. You’re lying, I said. And, for the miles I did, it wasn’t David, that did it, but Goliath (15) that did him in. Rocks. (16) Pebbles (17).

'Welcome to the world of Hakim Jamal’s evolved silky grooves from the ’70s, augmented by a vivid complex instrumentation and glamorous female vocals. Currently #1 in the JazzWorld and LA Funk charts, these psychedlic mashups of 1970s Soul (and accompanying trippy videos) will take you to another planet, reaching a climax of luscious enigmatic sonicscapes travelled by hypnotic sensual grooves. Extended arrangements and propulsive funky basslines just add to the intensity and mystique of this exotic land inhabited by languorous rhythms. Music that will please both your ears and your soul.’ - Stefan Bociacia, JazzWorld Quest
“That's some seriously soulful feel-good lounge/nightclub music right there. Can't help but feel the influence of Curtis Mayfield's work there, among a few others.”
Da Silva and Lino, Music Producers for Universal, Sony, Warners - LinkedIn
English musician Paul Wheatcroft, previously signed to Big Life/Polygram and published by Universal Music Publishing, toured the UK & Europe with TV appearances and some chart success with the band Ashley & Jackson. Band was part of the ‘Madchester’ scene in the 1990s and band members/crew included members of A Certain Ratio, Happy Mondays, New Order. Played the Cities In The Park festival with a lineup which also included Bill Nelson (BeBop Deluxe) and Denise Johnson (Primal Scream.) Toured with Jamiroquai, Brand New Heavies, Public Enemy and Adamski/Seal. Paul has also worked with an eclectic collection of musicians including Richard H. Kirk, Gerard Presencer, Jako Peake and was managed by now-Island Records US supremo Darcus Beese (later manager of Amy Winehouse.) Paul was Darcus’ first signing for Big Life. After a turbulent 2000s he quit the music industry to form a film company and label TalkingHead TV, which won a Royal Television Society award and Best International Documentary in 2018 for 'They Shall Not Grow Old.’
The pseudonym Hakim Jamal was first adopted by American activist Allen Donaldson, who was a cousin of Malcolm X and later became an associate of Michael X. Hakim Abdullah Jamal (March 28, 1931 – May 1, 1973) wrote From the Dead Level, a memoir of his life and memories of Malcolm X. Jamal was a ladies’ man as well as a political animal and he became romantically involved with several high-profile stars of the time, notably the great film actress Jean Seberg. Paul adopted the name for recording purposes in 2019. The black struggle is a major issue in Hakim’s work as you will see.

I remember being on Vancouver Island spending one of a few summers with them when I heard this album ... I was no more than perhaps 10 ... maybe 12 years old ... and it affected me.
I remember walking in the woods behind their place ... walking along the paved secondary roadways singing John Denver’s “Sunshine on my shoulders” from and because of this ... and her anger ... her upset near the end ...
I have looked for this for years .. and last night came across it as I lay in bed reflecting on the silence of Remembrance Day, looking at the wake of failures behind me and seeing the ice of peace, sanctity, stability, and contentment cracking under my weight of existence in the universe.
It has been a long, long struggle these past few years and the challenges have not diminished at all. One step ahead ... and if truly lucky only one step sliding back ... there is a scene from Hamburger Hill that comes to mind ... I will have to find it.
But for the time being ... this is what is certainly part of the echoes and soundtrack of my life. It is definitely a witness moment that engrained ... imprinted, really, itself into my being.

Crash bandicoot 5

They are easily broken to reveal small pieces of insects and soil. They are 25-50 mm long and 8 mm in diameter. Southern brown bandicoot scats (poo) are firm and cylindrical with a smooth, mud-like surface.

… Names in order: pig-footed bandicoot, short-nosed bandicoot, rabbit-eared bandicoot. It has hind feet with fused toes like those of a kangaroo. It has a sharp, pointed nose with rodent-like teeth. The bandicoot is a rabbit-sized marsupial that gets its name because it resembles both a rat and a pig. According to SuperData Research, the 3D platformer sold 402,000 digital units. Unlike Watch Dogs: Legion which broke franchise records with its digital sales in October, Activision’s Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time saw slightly less success. The supposed release date is some time in November 2021, and it will be released to PS5, Xbox Series X, Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. … All of these can be used to solve puzzles that the game will give us. Inspired by the Los Angeles underground dance music scene of the early ’90s, Pasquale founded Insomniac in 1993.Ī game named Spyro 4: Wings of Fury will be announced at the upcoming SGF. Over the last 25 years, Pasquale Rotella has been known as many things. Your goal is to chase after and catch them, either by touching it or hitting it with a weapon. Smash it, and a Golden Wumpa Fruit will spawn and shoot up the track. It’s everywhere, and it even has its own drink. It’s the Xbox 360 title that has become the fastest-selling game ever in the US and already made developer Bungie a cool $300 million. Why does Crash Bandicoot look different in Japan?īungie’s shooter grabs the top slot in the Japanese charts, 360 sales also see spike in the region. As it turns out, it meant absolutely nothing. Your first guess might be something along the lines of “ ABOOGABOOGA” or “HOLBOGA”. Despite all the rumors and speculation and the hints and the hopes, it doesn’t matter.

Not by any developer - not even Activision- for years to come. A new Crash Bandicoot title will not happen, in any form, anytime soon.
