Yonghoon ❧ He, of course, knows you love him or he wouldn’t be in a relationship with you. It’s not like he’s insecure about the relationship either, but he sometimes has his moments. He just craves reassurance. And you always give it to him. At the same time, though, he never expected this. You’re never shy to express your love for him in front of others or when you’re alone, but still he wouldn’t ever imagine he’ll get to hear you gushing over him to someone while he’s not even there. He’s biting back his smile but slowly, as you talk more and more and your voice keeps dropping lower like you’re afraid it’d ruin things if you talked about them too loud, slowly his smile melts and his eyes water. He doesn’t want to cry, but he's an emotional guy and how could he not? He gives it a couple minutes before he walks into the room you’re in and his mind is swirling with words he’d love to tell you but he can’t. He can’t. When you turn to look at him and immediately rush to him to check that he’s alright, Yonghoon can’t say anything but i love you before he’s pulling you close and kissing you. He repeats the three words so much between kisses, and it seems to be the only thing he’s able to say for hours afterwards, that you’re fully expecting him to say he’s either dying or killed someone. He uses the confession instead of a period at the end of his sentences. He clings to you. No words can describe what he’s feeling so he just keeps stating the facts - he loves you.

Harin ❧ He’s always hoped that your family would approve of him. It’s already a dream come true when he sees how fond of him they are, so excuse him if he’s more than a little taken aback when he hears your relative pointing out what they noticed about him and you excitedly filling them in on more, bragging about your boyfriend without being aware of the heart attack you’re about to give him. He can hear the affection in your voice, can feel the appreciation, and he basks in it. There’s blush painting his skin for sure but his head is full of marriage thoughts and nothing else and he simply can’t care if he’s a little flushed. He manages to keep his cool, somehow, and if he’s a little more affectionate when he joins you again, you only seem to welcome it. The subtle yet noticeable change only comes back home. It takes you a while to notice and put a finger on what exactly happened, but the best you can do is to describe it as Harin getting more comfortable - taking you for granted but in the sense of being comforted by you being his, reassured by your constant presence in his life. He seems somehow happier when he can help you with chores, he settles into the domestic life so well it gives you butterflies just seeing him help you cut the veggies for dinner. Now it’s you who’s got wedding bells ringing in your head. He never mentions that he heard you, but slowly, day by day, he’s trying to get better at telling you how he feels. Like he even needs to when his love is so obvious in how he cares for you.

Kanghyun ❧ How is he supposed to cope? How is he supposed to process the feelings he’s feeling? His usual tactic, dismiss and deny, won’t help here, not in the face of you. It’s all his fault that he overheard and got concerned, he should’ve known you wouldn’t talk about anyone else but him that way. So why is it so hard to process? Some part of him wants to escape, and another wants to run to you and hug you. He can’t laugh this off just because he’s shy and embarrassed. He wouldn’t do that to your love. He decides to pretend like he didn’t hear anything. But can he? He’s not confident from the start and the rest of his confidence shatters quickly the moment you come up to him and engage in conversation. It’s so awkward that he can’t say anything - he keeps getting lost in your eyes or in his own mind, replaying memories of the sweet things he heard you say. You call him out on it, first worried about him, then worried you’ve done something wrong. He can’t have that. Not when you did everything right. So he sucks in a breath, but even so his words are barely above whisper. How can you say all that and then just… Just what? Keep loving him? He doesn’t know himself how to finish his sentence but he knows he hates the look of uncertainty on your face. So he pulls you closer and presses his lips against your forehead with a quiet thank you. He makes a promise to make it up to you. His songs are already about you anyway. A couple and maybe you’ll realize it too.

Dongmyeong ❧ At first he firmly believes it’s a prank. It must be, right? One of those wholesome ones he’s seen, because he knows you wouldn’t risk hurting his feelings on purpose. It makes him feel all mushy inside, even as he tries to calm down his excitement. But if it’s a prank, then you wouldn’t jump in fright and nearly drop your phone - the phone you mumble rushed apologies into before ending the call… And you wouldn’t try to run away… His cheeks turn scarlet while he laughs and holds you tighter, forbidding you from running away from him. The butterflies are wreaking havoc in his stomach, so much it’s almost making him sick but he’s so happy that it’s worth it and you look so embarrassed at being caught. He hugs you, showers you with sweet nothings and his own love confessions, and he gets shy himself in the process. But he can’t fret much, can’t be worried when he’s hugging you, and you’re hugging him, and you giggle and shake your head and he knows there’s no need to be embarrassed. You’re just a couple in love, and that’s beautiful. You squeeze him, and he squeezes you too, rubs your back just to help you calm your emotions - and to collect himself too. He feels like he’ll burst but you’re grounding him. More so when you kiss him. And maybe you take too much joy in seeing him as flustered as you are when he leans his forehead against yours. Who knows what sounds more genuine - if a simple i love you or the earlier confessions you exchanged, even if you didn’t mean to.

Giuk ❧ He thrives on your love. He’s a sucker for any affection you show him. But what he’s hearing might be a little too much. His mind is in overload - his heart is in overload, and he wants to tear it out of his chest so it’s not beating so loud in his ears and he can hear more of you. He’s pretty sure he’s ready to pass out. He can’t move. And he’s so out of it he doesn’t notice when you get quiet and emerge from your room. It takes a while for him to understand what you’re saying, and even longer to answer you. He melts further when you get concerned and drag him on the bed to lie down. He pulls you right down with him. He wants to talk. Just talk. About anything. He wants to be close to you, and you seem as eager to be with him. His heart skips a beat when he realizes that you don’t let go of his hand. Somehow the conversation gets crazy - dreams get shared, you plan the mansion you’ll have in the future together, all the pets you’ll have, what his studio will look like, the guest bedrooms for all your friends. He wants to give that to you. He wants to protect you. He wants to have you, always. In that moment he decides he doesn’t need to say anything, even though he will - because if he felt so giddy hearing you, he can’t stop imagining how happy you would be if you heard him talk about you like that. But what’s more important is that he will work hard so that he can bring you the stars from sky if that’s what you ask for.

For someone who never liked math much, since you’ve begun dating Yonghoon you keep counting in your head. Counting down until he runs up to you after coming home or after you arrive at his studio, counting the times his hand brushes against yours while you walk down the street, counting how long he can go without touching you in any way. Counting up to ten before you get up so he can have a precious moment longer of holding you in the morning. You see the way it’s an instinct for him, to touch the people dear to him. Not only you, even though it’s especially prominent in his behavior towards you. Given the option, he’ll always lean into you when he laughs. You’ll be the first one he taps to show you whatever caught his attention. Without thinking, he laces your fingers together when he wants you to follow him. It’s all so natural that it sometimes takes your breath away.

It works the other way around too. You see how brightly Yonghoon smiles when you initiate affection. To hug and hold him for a while is the easiest way to comfort him when he’s upset. Tension leaves his body in his arms until he sags against you whether you can hold him up or not. You live for the cute, scared yelps of his when you sneak behind him and hug him, and you can only smile and give in when he pouts and whines, and the only way to shut him up is with kisses. He needs your love and suffers greatly when you’re apart. No matter how reassuring words are, he can only breathe when he can feel your body against his.

Whenever you need it, help’s never too far away. It’s like Harin can sense when you’re stuck, busy, distressed, or just could use his presence by your side. Nothing is ever an issue. He’s always right there to help or support you in any way he can. You need help fixing something around the house? He’s got it - and he will even teach you if you promise you won’t stop relying on him. You’re feeling like trying out a new recipe but it’s complicated and needs a lot of preparation? He’s already at your house with the ingredients and asking for instructions. He will learn new things for you. He will learn them with you. Anything to make you happy, because your happiness is his. He always reassures you he doesn’t mind at all - because he doesn’t. He’s glad he can help you and he loves seeing how much you trust and appreciate him. It makes him feel manly if he can lift some burden off your shoulders and it gives him a nice ego boost whenever you’re left in awe because he solved a problem that was overwhelming for you.

When the tables are turned, he’s shy. He’s deeply appreciative of when you help and take care of him, even if he can’t find the right words to tell you. Harin hopes the gentle touches and his devotion to you tell you enough. (They do.) Slowly he learns it’s okay to ask for help too, and he must admit that something about how well you work together makes him fall deeper and deeper for you. The other may joke that you’re obsessed with each other - but so what? You’re each other’s priority and you will work to keep it that way for the rest of your lives.

It’s so important to Hyungu that you’re both comfortable in each other’s company. Not only as far as trust is concerned, although it is a given he wants you to be able to open up to him about anything just as he tries to be completely open with you too, but also that it helps you relax and doesn’t drain you even more. He loves that your relationship feels like the definition of comfort. Just spending time with you is so healing and you understand that as an introvert he needs a lot of time alone just to recharge. However, he keeps seeking out your company. It makes him satisfied on a level that can’t be described. Because you’re precious. Because he can relax with you. Because he loves you and loves spending time with you. Be it talking, reading together, watching shows together, it’s hard to describe the feeling in other terms than being enveloped by warmth and safety. He can only hope you feel the same.

Of course you do. He’s your home. And he’s so obviously in love with you that it’s hard not to give in to the cuteness aggression. When you suggest spending time together, it’s like he’s ready to drop everything just to make it happen. Hyungu thrives when you’re with him, whatever it is that you’re doing. He’d be happy even just sitting in silence with you, daydreaming. Time, he’s come to realize, is the one most precious thing and so he chooses to spend it with you and nothing could make his heart flutter more than you choosing him above everyone else, above all the things you could do on your own. He wants to always be the person you choose.

He’s your cheerleader. Praises and compliments spill from his lips effortlessly like there’s always something nice to say. Dongmyeong doesn’t even realize how much his words affect you, it’s simply natural to him to tell you how he honestly feels. And that’s the thing - usually you’d think the person was just saying that to be polite or out of obligation, but with your boyfriend, you see that he doesn’t even need to think about it. He tells you you’re beautiful because you are, he compliments your skill because you truly did well. If you mess up, he acknowledges it but not without praising you for the effort you put in. Being supportive of you is like breathing to him. And he’s a warrior - he will battle your insecurities right alongside you. All you need to do is give him a reason to worry, and it could be anything, and he’s clinging to you and reminding you that he loves you and why he loves you.

Dongmyeong loves so hard because he, too, requires a lot of love. Even sun is sometimes hidden behind clouds. He needs your support too and you return all his love in full. You don’t mind lying on his chest, whispering reassurances against his skin while he holds you close like you’re his lifeline. He never needs to wait for you to compliment him on his outfit, his hair or for his hard work. He feels appreciated. His days are brighter because of you, each and every confession and kind word from your lips he treasures. He relies on you on the days his confidence is running low, and he’s more than ready to take the role of a knight in shiny armor from you on the days you’re the one doubting yourself.

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ Giuk: gift giving

He’s not spoiling you as most would imagine it, but it is spoiling to you. Giuk doesn’t give you extravagant, expensive gifts, nor does he keep showering you with them. But each item he gives you is special. It’s the one toy from the toy capsule machine that you wanted but gave up on it because you didn’t like the others. (He gifts the rest of his winning to his members and the children in their families.) It’s the matching figure to the one in his studio that you keep admiring any time you come over. It’s giving you random merch of the media and content you love most because he knows they bring you comfort. And it’s borrowing you his clothes and accessories for the same reason. He doesn’t complain when his hoodie never makes it back home. Everything he gets you has so much thought behind it that you treasure every little token of his love. He loves to see your bashful smile, and he loves to see each of the gifts taken good care of. It’s like you’re taking care of his heart too.

So it’s not surprising that Giuk cherishes anything that you give him too. It brings him comfort - all of it. Having the items close, seeing them and remembering you, and when he needs to clean around the room, they motivate him to finish the task. Sometimes he thinks you see it as a competition. It feels like you’re reading his mind and his stomach is full of butterflies, because he never expects you’d remember what he mentions in passing, and yet you surprise him every single time. It makes his resolve stronger. One day he will give you a ring, and you will be the one left breathless and flustered. At least he hopes so.

He is the sunshine that woke you up. You could practically feel the warmth of his sunshine smile so strongly that it still woke you up from the deepest sleep you’ve ever had in your life. When you opened your eyes, you were nearly blinded by his brightness as he adorably smiled at you. He was just so happy to see you next to him. The brightness was so overpowering, you fell out of bed and he rushed to your side, leaning over the mattress. “Wakey wakey sunshine time and bakey.”

You woke up first. You tried to make yourself look more “presentable” for your boyfriend. You know, get rid of any dirt in your eyes, wake your skin up a bit, hydrate your lips. You waited there for probably up to an hour until you realized he wasn’t going to get up any time soon. Even. When. He. Was. Already. Awake. You shook him, knowing he was already awake but too “lazy” to actually get up. “Wake TF UP ITS MORNING YOU DRIED PIECE OF TOAST”. A smile slowly grew on his face as he kept his place on the bed. Until you kicked him off.
