I love all the effort you put into your ocs, how do you manage to get ideas for lyrics and mvs??? its all super impressive

thank you so much!! when it comes to mvs, i just kind of.. try to think of a theme the character already has or a theme that would look cool in their mv, usually that theme is somehow associated with their personality, interests, backstories or even simply their designs and name meanings! (like for example, eiko met her first love online, so two of her mvs have something to do with technology, but she's also a part-time model and has an interest in fashion, so there's a mannequin in her first mv as well) like i just kind of try to get into their brains and think of how they would see their crime and their life in general, so i try my best to make the mvs show their personalities well and make them feel different from each other (like shun's mvs have a lot of "glitchy" effects, they're supposed to feel weird and surreal, two of akio's mvs have a royal theme/aesthetic, etc).

also i try to make each mv reveal something the last one didn't, like the first riku mv showed that he was very popular, but he still wasn't happy, and his second mv showed that he was more than okay with using his popularity for some really bad things. i think kei's mvs are the best example, since his first mv is supposed to make him look like "the bad guy", meanwhile his second mv is supposed to make him look like the victim (and judging by 100% guilty and 100% inno verdicts, it went. well). it's getting a bit hard to do so right now, as i'm in the middle of writing the season 3 vds and i feel like i have to reveal stuff as quickly as possible and some of the characters' crimes have basically been solved (like naomi's, and in asahi's case the only thing we don't know is the motive).. but i've decided to use vds and mvs as two different tools: vds are more about what the character would reveal about their crime if they were asked (or forced to talk) and mvs are more about what they'd either not talk about or what they want the audience to know, but can't talk about for some reason.

also i just like to add things that i'd like to see more in the canongram mvs! like the whole thing with the victim/side character povs or certain themes and aesthetics, all of that stuff.

as for the lyrics, it actually takes me a lot of time to write them, like i always write the actual mv first and then like a day or two later i write the lyrics 😭😭 i just kinda go with what i think sounds cool or what the character would say (like in shun's future season 3 mv, he literally forgets what the song was about). also i take inspiration from the canongram song lyrics as well and kinda try to write something similar to them while still adding something original?? hope that makes sense sjsdkslsl

Hello!!! I'm very normal over your emojis, may I ask what size canvas you use to make them? Been wanting to make some of my own 👉👈

400x400 :D and the thickest "pencil" brush in MS Paint. The pencil brush keeps white spaces and artifacts from occurring when you use the paint bucket, and gives what you draw a pixel-y look! Ofc I make the canvases bigger or smaller as needed, to avoid clipping anything or leaving too much negative space - which can make the emojis teensy tinsy on discord!

Er. At least for Windows 10 and before! I hear Windows 11 updated Paint ?? And it can be hit or miss. Either way, I'm not familiar with itz tools!

Do you have any tips for drawing?

Tips for drawing? Hmmm..

I'm still learning myself, so forgive me if this list isn't very long or detailed (ㅎ.ㅎ )

Normally I start a drawing with a reference, so I can get the anatomy correct (a real life reference alongside a character reference of the character/s I want to draw)

I normally go into Pinterest for this, there's lots of good photos to choose from

I then go into IBIS Paint and set up a canvas (the size changes depending on the picture)

I then try to mimick that reference as much as I can (since I can't really draw clothes and stuff on my own yet). This first layer is normally in red so I can separate the layers

Extra stuff I put in blue, just to help differentiate between them

I'm messing around with line thickness, and I've realized it makes the picture pop out more if you have the area where light isn't hitting thicker and the lightened up areas thinner. I also do this to the edges, I don't know how to describe it:

After the line art is done (and cleaned up!), then I draw my character on top of this in another layer in another color (typically a shade of orange or purple). I try to keep the lines thick on the outside and thinner on the inside

I start off coloring by doing everything one at at time, and I normally use a bucket for a base color and then add shadows in areas the reference has (if the reference doesn't have any then I try to estimate where the shadows would go)

Same thing goes for the character, and I take colors directly off of a screenshot

Because I keep forgetting to color the whites of the eyes and teeth, I make my entire background a light shade of gray so I can see the white when I do color it in

When coloring the shading on clothes I try to follow the folds

I've had some really good drawings, and others that I've thought were really bad. I suppose it depends on my energy and how familiar I am with what/who it is that I'm drawing

I don't draw very much on paper (mainly just for projects and friends), but I do know that if you're drawing something over in marker then moving at a constant pace will keep it from looking odd (and causing it to bleed more in place)

It's also a little different for me because I have only my phone to draw on and I have to use my fingers since I don't have a stylus, so I'd say zooming in a great deal with a large canvas can help if you're in the same predicament ✍️(з_з)

In this AU Eath has been recruited as an assistant investigator after she was discovered at the tail end of the local agency's murder investigation. Having already found the body of the victim on the property of the suspect with clear evidence linking them to the crime, though perhaps not in the best circumstances to be found in as she was in the middle of digging it up-

Finding such powers useful, they brought her in, blackmailed offered her a temporary job, and quickly found a use for her. She was to be partnered with Kitt on another murder mystery case, with Kitt's skills in thievery and tinkering having also been found useful to the agency. They never told the team that they needed to find the evidence legally after all- especially since they weren't officially linked with them.

Now the team is undercover, trying to solve the case of the murdered daughter of the mayor of some town which just so happened to fall on the same day some artifacts were stolen from a museum. Working both in the mayor's lavish abode and in the museum to look for clues and figure out what happened.

Wherever Eath goes Hax is generally there too, and being seven feet tall and pretty willing to get into a fistfight, they're at first considered the muscle (even though Eath herself is considered stronger) but later quickly become more of the face due to their people skills. All the while trying to find a way to pull one over on the agency for blackmailing their sister best friend.

No, you're fine! I'm still learning Japanese (my parents are from Japan but sadly I am not), so since Japanese was kind of dropped when I was young I had to take it upon myself to learn it from scratch.

I do wish to become a translator sometime in the near future though, it's one of my goals (there are also a couple other languages I'd like to learn on top of it)

honestly, I'm not even miffed. not even slightly, it's interesting to see what will happen now that Janine knows, and that the group's trust in the anons may be shakier now than before. On the one hand, Oh boy. trying to steer this group towards a safe, legal option, that will not involve TSE is like trying to prevent my little brother from stealing my snacks. So So difficult. and this has made it Significantly Harder. On the other hand, I'm usually here for a little bit of chaos and problems On Purpose. even if this wasn't on purpose, we roll with it. An internet comic is not worth the rage, even if our stupid little blorbos might die. On the other other hand I was hoping to get to dig a little deeper into Why Janine is Like That and see if I could figure out the specific best route to psychological warfare her into a corner somehow, but honestly I'll take what I can get. As a frequent victim of Askbox Closing mid-ask, I get it dude. once I was done interrogating her, I probably would have told her myself honestly.
