A slightly more polished set of thoughts around the desires of Gortash and my Dark Urge, Manva, that may sit with other Dark Urge characters.

Gortash, as we find out, was sold to Raphael by his parents as a child. His parents say he was wretched before then, but that to me is the core of him. He learns at a formative age that every affection comes with a price tag, and that anything can be viewed in terms of power and money. And let’s be real, that philosophy serves him well! He is a smart and resourceful, happy to charm and to threaten, and obsessed with what can bring him more power, more control. He seduces, overthrows, manipulates and purchases his way into society and finds a route through everything with money and influence. When it comes to personal relationships, we know from Karlach that he is happy to throw out any affection for the promise of more power.

And then there is the chosen of Bhaal. Manva is, in her eyes anyway, a mere conduit for the energy of the world and her Dark Father in the pre-game years. She is control, she is careful ritual, she is reverence for the art of taking life. When Gortash comes to her first with tides of money, of influence, he fails. She is not interested in such things. She is the first person he meets who cannot be bought. He must find a new path through to her, and he does through giving her a way to bring true death to Toril.

Their relationship balances on a knife edge between their drivers as chosen, his to rule the world, and hers to destroy it, and their desire to be witnessed until the end. But it also is a balance of a deeper, baser want between them; him to find something that is somehow beyond him, the ultimate prize that can never be won and therefore can never be discarded, and hers to be seen as more than just the instrument, something beautiful in and of herself, to be revered as much as she reveres her art.

They love each other because they sit in this space and if they ever went past a certain point, if she ever gave herself fully to him or he ever fell too far into her arms, they would completely destroy each other.

Anyways I live and love of that bed bug monster yandere! Because the whole thing can be put on a series or movie!! The pacing was good the way you feel the tension emotion of each characters. The horror the relief the confusion and the mixed feelings!

I did not need to know the way in real life how they nate byt it got me curious 😭💀 cursed my interest in nature documentaries. But I love how he is lowkey adorable in how he clings to them and how they tried to help them, like he's like this sweet skrunkly cute thing in a dark and twsited way.

Not me at awe how he's basically born and built differently the fact he is emotionally and mentally intelligent he just got photographic memory on how to stich someone wound and mastered it. And how they have a plan for them already at the beginning it was a nice twist but damnnn I can't complain.

Also the way he was enjoying it as darling was practically fighting to not die on how dangerous they act was! And especially i find it funny he baad mouth lowkey his deceased animalistic brother
