my favorite part of watching the eclipse today wasn't even the eclipse itself (though that part was super cool!!) I just loved standing out on the sidewalk with what felt like every tourist and local and office worker in the city. everyone with their eclipse glasses on, taking pictures, being excited, watching and waiting together. it was such a cool vibe to be part of. I didn't have the glasses but a stranger noticed me milling around and offered me his to take a took. it was so cool.

it's crazy that incredible shit happens and it's also just a normal day. like i had to block off time on my work calendar to watch the eclipse. there's guys painting in my apartment complex and i took a moment to lend them my glasses. we won't get full totality here only about 80% but still. there's something incredible happening and i want to take a moment to see

i should save this for the eclipse day blog post but literally right after the eclipse like as we were heading out from the viewing site i tripped on the fuckin 400 year old stone street and busted open my leg and they had to call over a paramedic from the city to bandage it for me
