I’m not a poetry reader, this may actually be the first collection I’ve read front-to-back, and whilst I may have gotten very little from each poem singularly, I felt I started to understand something reading this. The anger was striking and surprising, although not being a believer myself makes it difficult to connect with the overt religiousness.
