Hmmm.... I'm placing my Alicole bet on ep 5, after RR. A lot of depression going around after battle, Criston feeling useless, Alicent feeling helpless... And I believe one of the women...is it Clare Kilner/Geeta Patel will be directing? My suspicion is up cos they can be great with intimate scenes. Plus Clare once teased a fan in the Insta DMs about Alicole. I thought that was unprofessional of her, as it's a potential spoiler (if she's not just joking) but now that I look at it, it's very possible something will go down between Ali and Cole.

From what I know about the writers and the tone that the show is going for ...

I'd actually put my money on the fact that they're going to present it as that Alicent and Criston have always been together, since 1x05 and its just that they're hiding it.

I can see the clown shoes and hear them squeaking about trying to make Alicent into a hypocrite by being in a fully committed relationship with Criston while still married to Viserys.

There is a rumor that there's tension between Criston and Gwayne over his relationship with Alicent and Gwayne's dislike of how wrapped around Criston Alicent is rather than being loyal to Otto and the Hightowers.

It's also tied with the long standing rumor - since last December - that Daeron was sent to the Hightower to foster with Otto because it was viewed by many in the court that Criston was too close to Daeron and people were starting to take notice. Which, means really nothing if they cast Daeron as he's discribed in the books. But someone did see an auburn curly haired wig on set that was for a male actor. which could mean that Daeron is going to have Alicent's coloring. (A+C=D)

But that's an old rumor ...

Either way, I'm floating my money on that Alicent and Criston have already been together this whole time and we just got a hint of what they've been hiding in 1x09. And only Aemond (and probably Daeron) knowing about it ... with Otto and Gwayne suspecting.

What parts of Steph’s story are you most excited to write?

Her official debut as Shieldmaiden for one - 1x05 is when she starts getting involved in things when she ends up getting to and helping Bette before Team Flash does and this kickstarts her deciding to step up as Shieldmaiden because clearly the Meta Outreach Project isn't going to be enough to protect metahumans from people like Eiling or Wells (Bette survives this episode but Wells still tries to manipulate her, and Steph being friends with Firestorm means she knows exactly how far Eiling specificually will go - just because he's [REDACTED] by the end of the episode doesn't mean he'll leave forever and she knows that), and 1x06 is where she first directly confronts a metahuman to protect someone, and, unknowingly, saves his life by advocating for him to be put in the Meta Wing of Iron Heights, and she quickly becomes a name people know and trust, especially among the metahumans (much more so than the Flash, it turns out, much to Barry's chagrin and Hartley's amusement)

But also the investigation into Wells is really making me excited - Ralph is the one tracking down former employees, but Steph, Eddie, and Hartley are on the frontlines, as it were, trying to find out what they can while not arousing suspicion, and also trying to get Barry Allen away from him. Iris is going to get looped into this eventually so that's gonna light a fire under things, and the way 1x11 goes in this 'verse (because that's when Part 2 is gonna end) is gonna be really interesting, though it also raises the stakes significantly.

And Part 3, where Team Flash is on board MUCH much sooner!!!

A tense dinner puts Khalil in the hot seat. While throwing a special teen prom, Mavis gets caught in a predicament and must decide what her heart wants.

One of the best under-30-minute shows I've watched this year. Heartwarming, uplifting, inspirational, motivational. So much to appreciate. The main trio's friendship was so loving and supportive. And the representation being written with so much care and never once feeling like tokenism was a much needed breath of fresh air. Would highly recommend.

The Lazarus Project 1x05 Episode 5

Trying desperately to keep the Lazarus Project off the scent, George tries to shift the suspicion from himself by making a longtime Lazarus employee the scapegoat.

How did Anjli memorize that long ass speech about Archie's educational background? I wonder how many takes it took. And how did George get the car out when in was firmly wedged in by the police car? Also, I'm not surprised Archie started to suspect Shiv of being the mole when she was at his flat. What kind of sociopath puts their bed in the middle of the room??

HUNTER + S1 TIMELINE

( note: most of these events will cover Hunter’s whereabouts during my ‘hexside au,’ but some golden-guard-specific events can also apply to his general canon too. those will be marked with an * . otherwise, i’m keeping the descriptions relatively vague, as to not limit interactions )

COVENTION (1x05)* : For the last couple of years, the Golden Guard has attended Boneborough’s Annual Covention, and this year is no exception. Along with Lilith and a few scouts, he attends to represent the Emperor’s Coven, and keeps an eye out to make sure no anti-coven schemes or attacks go down.

THE FIRST DAY (1x13) : It’s Hunter’s first day into his investigation on the trouble going down at Hexside. His findings are less than ideal, taking note of a human being enrolled without the Emperor’s Coven’s knowledge, and the beginning of multitracking, which goes directly against the coven system’s teachings. Hunter is safe during the basilisk attack due to his lack of a bilesac, but he stays relatively hidden. He shows up afterwards as the Golden Guard to have a private conversation with Bump, offering apology funds from the Emperor’s Coven, as long as word of the incident doesn’t get out of the school.

REALLY SMALL PROBLEMS (1x14) : Hunter winds up at the carnival, most likely from an invitation from Gus and Willow to hang out with them. It’s his first outing with potential friends, but his social awkwardness is overshadowed when he gets shrunk down with the others. He winds up particularly impressed with Willow’s quick thinking when she takes down the demon that tries to eat them, and when she wrangles a fly for them to ride on.

UNDERSTANDING WILLOW (1x15) : Upon finding out Willow’s memories were set on fire, Hunter is furious at Amity over the potential brain damage she gave Willow. He follows them all back to the Owl House so that Eda can take them into the mindscape (and tries to avoid any suspicion from Eda too over his identity). Hunter relays as much mindscape knowledge as he can, but he stays outside so that he can keep an eye on Willow and make sure she’s okay externally.

ENCHANTING GROM FRIGHT (1x16) : It’s grom time, and Hunter spends way too long trying to fix himself up for the night, to no avail. He winds up looking like a potato sack. Some help is enlisted to give him a mini makeover, and while he attends and has fun, word of the Golden Guard attending grom does spread in a small way within the coven. It becomes a concern whether or not Hunter is getting too distracted.

WING IT LIKE WITCHES (1x17) : Boscha’s bullying succeeds in pissing Hunter off, to the point where he’s more than ready to shove it in her face in a game of grudgby. Similarly to Luz, his attempts to assist in training the others winds up being too extreme (he’s going off of his own training experiences from the coven), and in the final grudgby match, he sits alongside Gus, offering moral support for his friends and apologizing for pushing any of them too far.

AGONY OF A WITCH (1x18)* : Hunter calls off sick from school’s field trip to the Emperor’s castle. Meanwhile, the Golden Guard himself is present to assist in the tour. He catches Luz, Willow, and Gus in their attempt to steal the coven relics, briefly fighting them while trying to restrain them, until Lilith shows up. Against his better judgement, Hunter allows Lilith to carry through with her plan of keeping Luz hostage, solely so that Willow and Gus are released without consequence.

YOUNG BLOOD, OLD SOULS (1x19) : Hunter is present at the petrification ceremony, begrudgingly worried for Luz, but growing even more distressed when Willow and Gus speak out against Eda’s punishment and cause an uprising within the crowd. He’s relieved when Belos deems that none of them are to be punished, but with Lilith’s betrayal, Hunter finds himself appointed the new coven head, and is told he will be pulled out of Hexside immediately. He doesn’t get a chance to say goodbye to anyone.
