a/n: here's me apologzing for the yunjin angst <3 to avoid any confusion - this is NOT a prequel to "love the way you lie" nor is it related in any way; this is its own thing where reader and yunjin are happily together bc they deserve it; enjoy soft and whipped y/n while i try to get angsty again

even with the water running, kazuha and eunchae could be heard in the background, giggling at whatever they were watching on the older girl’s phone.

“i’m sorry i couldn’t help you tonight y/n. i’ll do the dishes tomorrow okay?” your leader says as she magically emerges from her bedroom and immediately snakes her arms around your waist, leaning her head on your shoulder.

“i don’t mind cleaning up unnie, it’s really okay” chaewon hums in response while you place the last bowl on the dish rack to dry.

“where’s yunjin unnie?”

“in her room. i think she’s writing again”

you smile at the thought of your girlfriend trying to write a song. you could easily imagine the way she scrunches her nose while trying to figure out a chord progression, or the way her tongue slightly pokes out as she writes down lyrics in her notebook.

“maybe you should go help her instead of standing here and smiling like a creepy idiot” chaewon interrupts.

“for a moment, i forgot you were here” you joke as you playfully wipe your wet hands on her face.

“ya y/n!! i just did my skincare routine!” she yells while aggressively wiping her face on your shirt, which earned chaewon a playful slap on the shoulder.

once you finish wiping down the counters and tucking in eunchae’s chair (she swears her new year’s resolution is to push in her own chair), you walk towards yunjin’s bedroom. her door is ajar and from where you were standing, you could hear her hum a melody and attempt to strum a few chords. her back is to the door so she’s unaware that you’re leaning against her doorframe, admiring the art that is huh yunjin herself. you watch as she puts her pen down and clears her throat before singing;

it’s kind of shitty isn’t it? not the way we pictured it feels like an existential crisis or am i being dramatic? i wish the world would shut its mouth

“give me space to… sort all this shit out? no that doesn’t sound good” she grunts, and yunjin drops the guitar pick to replace it with her pen, scribbling out what she previously wrote. she sings the same line over and over, and just as she’s about to give up, you finally break your silence and offer a suggestion.

give me space to fucking sort it out?

yunjin’s head immediately turns around, you’re worried it might have given her whiplash. as soon as your eyes meet, you watch a smile grow on her face and you return the gesture with a smile of your own as you walk towards her bed.

“give me space to fucking sort it out,” yunjin tests the way it sounds before continuing on;

like i’m fine, just leave me alone i’m great on my own

you can’t help but stare at yunjin, watching the crinkles on her forehead when she sings and listening to how soft and melodic her voice is.

“honey, you’re staring”

“am i not allowed to admire you, my love?”

“it’s making me shy,” she admits, pink blush slowly painting her cheeks resulting in another smile on your face.

it's rare for yunjin to openly admit when she's shy. though her mbti says she's an introvert, you'd believe she's everything but that when you get to know her. she was a loud goofball most of the time and you absolutely loved her for that. but you also loved her in moments like this; when she’s quiet, focused, and vulnerable. yunjin always felt shy whenever she showed you the songs she wrote, and you’ll never forget about the time she admitted that it feels like she’s naked and bare in front of you when she presents her own creations.

you then realize you don't need to physically touch her to feel close to her - you feel her heart and soul in every word she sings, and you believe it’s the closest you’ll ever be to yunjin.

“helloooo anyone there? looks like someone’s staring again”

“well i think it sounds like an amazing song already” you say, finally breaking out of your daze.

“oh stop it, you’re just saying that because i’m your girlfriend”

“i’m saying it because it’s true. now sing some more, i’ll help with the chords”

now it’s yunjin’s turn to stare as she watches you take her acoustic guitar out of her hands, and grab her electric guitar instead.

“now look who’s staring” you say while plugging the guitar into an amp and start tuning it.

“i’m just lucky to have a girlfriend who’s talented like you”

you never liked to brag about your talent, but yunjin wasn’t lying. you’ve always loved anything and everything to do with music, and you would beg your parents to get you any instrument they could get their hands on - piano, guitar, drums, bass, and even violin. at some point during your trainee days, you even learned how to produce and mix songs. by definition, you were indeed an ace but you didn’t like admitting it and you’d playfully roll your eyes whenever the other members called you their ace.

“just sing darling” yunjin momentarily gushes at the pet name prior to singing, just as you requested.

you couldn’t even bring yourself to try and come up with a chord progression; you wanted to hear that voice over and over for the rest of your life.

along with her heavenly voice, you also admired yunjin’s penmanship. you could tell her lyrics always came from the deepest parts of her heart and after hearing what she just sang, you feel your heart swell - you were just so amazed and proud at what she was capable of doing.

“go again,” and so she did. you asked her to sing about 3 or 4 more times before she realized you weren't even strumming anything.

“baby, are you gonna play or what?”

you chuckled and asked her to sing once more, with you actually playing the guitar this time.

“how was that?” she asks as you two wrapped up the song, and you notice her fidgeting with the corner of the page of her notebook. hearing her ask for feedback brought you back to the days you’d spend by her side while she’d practice before her monthly evaluation. it's a bittersweet memory for they were the moments you cherished the most but were also considered some of the toughest times in your career.

you don’t answer her and instead lean in to kiss her soft lips. of course, she enthusiastically returns the kiss causing her to drop her pen and notebook to wrap her arms behind your neck.

“ew,” says the leader from outside yunjin’s door. “close the door next time, eunchae might see you two,” and you look at yunjin before bursting out into laughter with her.

“3, 2, 1!” the staff counts down and the 6 of you blow the candles on the cake they prepared for you.

“happy 100 days to us!” eunchae yells while taking pictures of the cake and the decorations surrounding you.

after posing for pictures, the staff begins to play yunjin’s song through the speakers. everyone, including you, cheers and congratulates her for the release of her own solo song. you make your way towards her and embrace her lovingly, ignoring the sound of your other members fake gagging.

“you made a wonderful song, mahal”

“no, we did” she chuckles.

“you know what i think? we should write another song together and perform it on our wedding day”

yunjin feels her heart burst at the mention of your wedding. although it wouldn’t happen anytime soon, it brings so much excitement and leaves her to wonder what else was in store for the two of you, and also for the group.

she tries to lean in for a kiss but unfortunately, you're torn apart when chaewon and kazuha pull her away to take pictures while eunchae and sakura invite you to start eating the cake. yunjin's song comes to a close as you stare at your members and staff, and you smile as you think about all the memories you’ve made together while looking forward to the future of le sserafim.

yunjin x yn!! my cuties omg hi where are you guys?? they look like a couple lol

the viewers instantly surged in numbers and countless comments came pouring in. most were excited greetings and some were doting on the pair on screen, a few begging for couple poses to screenshot.

"hey everyone!"

"hi guys! thank you for joining us."

you and yunjin stood side-by-side, waving at the camera, which yunjin held as you nestled your chin on her shoulder.

"just to clarify, we aren't lost...we just can't seem to find our members anywhere."

the camera flipped around to reveal the open countryside. fields upon fields of...nothingness.

help where tf are they??? plz r they stranded idk whether to laugh or phone emergency services

"as you can see...there is no sign of civilisation. this may possibly be our 'rural survival' era." you announced, the camera flipping back to you and yunjin.

you two were often affectionate with each other, seemingly having instant chemistry, which the fans quickly picked up on. it didn't take long for you and yunjin to become the most shipped pair in the group, but you didn't mind- you thought it was quite sweet actually, and you could definitely think of worse things to be circulating. not to mention the fact that you'd had a small crush on yunjin for a while now and clearly weren't subtle about it, judging by the copious amounts of dating rumours between you two, but you could usually play it off.

yunjin's opinions on the matter were kind of a mystery to you. she'd never explicitly addressed the shipping, but seemed to entertain the idea, often initiating affection or playfully flirting with you...for the fans, you dejectedly assumed.

you felt yunjin squeeze your hand and glanced up to see a soft smile adorning her features. you reciprocated the affection by squeezing back, the wordless action lighting a welcome warmth in your chest. the sun had begun to melt, plunging you into a golden hue that captured yunjin's eyes, causing them to gleam like sparkling pools of honey. the sight almost took your breath away and you gulped, wary of sinking too deep.

"that was fun." she stated before rejoining your hands. the action catching you off-guard since the live had ended, but you certainly weren't complaining.

"hm..." yunjin squeezed your hand, leaning slightly further into you. you squeezed back and relished in the closeness. "can we call our grumpy cat chaewon?" she mused after a moment.

Scenario: Yunjin translating everything for y/n because they’re bad at Korean

Just a quick little scenario in this long drought

Even though you’ve lived in Korea for a year now, you still struggled with the language. Chaewon would spend about two hours daily teaching you Korean, and would only let the girls speak to you in Korean, which made Eunchae sad at times because of the language barrier when she saw your brows furrow in confusion when she would tell you about her day. Though you weren’t completely lost with the language, being able to understand it well just not speak it as well. So during interviews, live streams and filming, Yunjin had took it upon herself to translate whatever you said so that you could learn how to say certain words and so that everyone else could understand your broken konglish.

“Ah Yunjin unnie you didn’t have to translate for me” you pouted. You stood backstage with the girl as she playfully rolled her eyes. “Someone had to do it” she laughed at your attempt at speaking Korean once again.

“I’d never thought your Korean would be more bad than Kazuha trying to write in Korean” Yunjin sighed, earning a slap on the arm from Sakura who appeared behind her.

𓂂 ˳ — The Game Caterers X HYBE is a television special of the variety series The Game Caterers featuring artists from HYBE. LE SSERAFIM were one of the artists who appeared on the special. The special aired on July 15, 2022 till July 31, 2022.

Welcome to HYBE Company’s picnic! On a hot summer day with the sun shining brightly without a cloud to be seen, HYBE is having a picnic today with six HYBE groups to play games and have fun!

The six girls of LE SSERAFIM are now ready to go out of their waiting room. They are wearing red tops with different designs, Eden is wearing a red crop top with white cargo pants.

“It’s so hot.” Kazuha said fanning herself.

“Right, I want to drink ice Americano.” Yunjin added, a girl who loves drinking ice Americano.

“Okay, everyone get ready in one minute. As soon as you go out, there’s a bunch of cameras filming you, so please be conscious of your moves, the way you speak and how you interact with the other idols. So basically everything.” Their main manager once again reminded them to avoid causing trouble.

“Okay!…” the girls replied and get up off their seats.

Eden is holding a small white fan, she took deep and heavy breath before they went out of their waiting area. As soon as they went out to the filming area, they started greeting all of the staffs they past by with a smile on their faces as they were the first ones to arrive.

The camera caught Eden looking like an absolute princess while greeting everyone.

“Woah woah woah we get a tent.” Eden said full of energy, “this is perfect.” Sakura added on.

“I’m so nervous.” Eunchae said while clinging her arms to Eden.

“Oh, it’s Na Pd-nim! I’m finally seeing him, oh my gosh.” Eden says excitingly when she him not far from them. while covering her mouth with both of her hands. Eden is a huge fan of the Game Caterers and Na pd, She thinks he is funny and has enjoyed watching his shows.

“We’re the first ones.” Sakura said roaming her eyes around the area.

“Look at her.” Yunjin pointed at the amazed Eden looking around the filming area.

“eonni-ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ.” Eunchae laughed at the older girl and followed by the rest of the girls.

“What? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ.” She laughed at herself too and tried to calm down herself because she’s getting excited.

As they reach their tent, Yunjin noticed a cooler in the back, “wait there’s a cooler behind the table.”

“Is there anything in it?” Eden asked putting her fan down and walking over to the cooler.

“Is it ice cream?” Eunchae asked walking over to the cooler too.

Yunjin opened the cooler, “huh?” Yunjin looks at Eden confused. “There’s only cold water in it.”

Eden shrugged, “Maybe it’s for one of the games.” She guessed.

“Let’s guess the game.” Yunjin and Chaewon said at the same time. Setting down on their seats, While the rest of the other girls were trying to guess the game, Eden saw of one of her closest friend in HYBE make his way to the filming area. She waved both of her hands, the other group did the same thing and greeted the rest of the girls.

“Long time no see.” Yeonjun said patting his friend’s shoulder as his group proceeded to their seats, and bid goodbye to her for the meantime.

The remaining group’s Seventeen, Enhypen, and Fromis_9 appear in the same order as Hwang Min Hyun comes out along with Seventeen, Baekho already at their tent, and Lee hyun comes out last as the three of them make a team.

Then the girls heard Na pd-nim on the loudspeaker, “Since you all are here before we start, we want you to do an entrance ceremony. Each team will enter one by one. You can take some time now to coordinate what you will be doing. Don’t worry! There is no pressure!” He said reassuringly.

Then the girls started planning.

“Do you think it’s Fearless?” Yunjin ask.

Eden nodded, “I’m sure of it is.”

“Then we should do the chores with some flare.” Chaewon suggested, they saw the other groups practicing.

“Ahh…this is a lot of pressure.” Sakura said as she stressed out, “You must bet your life on this!” Eunchae teased her,

“Guys, this isn’t a big deal; let’s just show them what we can do.” Eden said simply, but of course, this is a competition. So they just ignored her.

“But we gotta look cool here.” Chaewon argued.

“Ooo, Zuha, you can do a ballerina move.” Yunjin suggested.

Eden gave up trying to calm everyone down, joining the conversation. “What part of the song are we doing?” She asked.

“Eden eonni, you should be the center!” Kazuha said.

“Should I?” She asked the group, and they all agreed. If LE SSERAFIM wanted to look cool, Eden was the person to go to. Then the girls finished the final details of their “performance.”

“Alright, is everyone ready?” Na pd asks, all of the groups replied yes.

“First of all, the first team…Fromis_9!” Na pd said as everyone clapped and cheered as the girls began with the move they practiced in the forest.

“Wooooahhh!!!” Eden cheered the loudest as she stood up from her seat after their performance was complete, making the staff behind them and the girls laugh.

Next were TOMORROW X TOGETHER ( txt ) as they remained seated when their song good boy gone bad started playing, they got up to pushed the tables down and began running to the field doing all of types of things.

“Woahhhh!” Eden and Yunjin said at the same time covering their mouth with their hands. Next were Enhypen as they started stepping forward a few steps until blessed-cursed started to play and began free styling to the middle. “Wooo!” Eden cheered them on along with members of Seventeen and TXT. Enhypen finished their dance everyone clapped. As Jay of Enhypen started arguing with TXT as Seventeen’s song began playing.

“Why are we going after them?” Chaewon said, “What do we do?” Eunchae said nervously too.

Seventeen began their entrance after a few deep breaths while bringing fans along with them, one big, and the rest small, “woooo!” Eden cheered them on while putting her hands beside her mouth to make her sound louder while the groups that have already went cheered them on too. As their new song hot started to play, the members started fanning one member as the group’s next song played and Eden started clapping along with them.

“This is more nerve racking than our debut!” Kazuha said with her hand on her chest to calm down her breathing.

The rest of LE SSERAFIM agreed, except for Eden, sitting there calmly and smiling.

“Let’s just have fun, okay?” Eden said with a smile, “I’m sure they will like it.” She added hopefully. Eden felt a little pressure being the center but didn’t want the girls to know about it.

Now it was LE SSERAFIM’s turn.

“Leader-nim hold the banner.” Eden said suggested to Chaewon, and she nodded.

“Let me remind you again, this is just a picnic.” Na pd said.

“That doesn’t help our nerves!” Eden yelled at the Pd and sent him a glare making everyone laughed.

Eden stood looking confident as she stood in between Chaewon and Sakura, the staff called out their group’s name. Eden’s look changed almost immediately. As their debut track began to play, they started to walk confidently especially Eden. Eden stopped at the whole line, once the music stopped and their group name was heard. Eden did a one-legged back tuck to a full, followed Kazuha showing off her flexibility as all the other groups clapped and yelled in shocked. The girls finished it off with their dance to fearless with Eden in the middle.

Jiwon couldn’t stop staring at her, and blushed at her beauty.

Jiheon thought that Eden was really cool.

After LE SSERAFIM did their entrance, they introduced themselves. “Hello, we are LE SSERAFIM-ibnida!” The other groups clapped for them.

“How’s the promotion going so far?” Na pd asked the six girls.

“It’s fun. We really are having fun because we got to see our fans every time we perform, and hear their cheer.” Chaewon answered with sincere.

“Is this your first full day shoot of variety show—wait ㅋㅋㅋㅋ-Eden-ssi, why are you looking at me like that?” Na pd asked which made everyone’s attention to Eden.

“She’s been smiling so widely since she got here, and she’s too focused on me, I feel so pressured.” Na pd said, Eden just laughed while shaking her head.

“She’s just a fan, Pd-nim. She really likes this show so much.” Sakura explained for Eden.

“Ani~I’m a fan of yours. I’m not a celebrity.” Na pd is now getting embarrassed with his ears getting red.

“You are a celebrity to me.” Eden teasingly throw a little wink at him but end up laughing at herself too.

On the other hand, the other idols are being whipped by Eden. They have been seeing Eden’s reaction since they stopped in the middle and laughing.

“She’s so cute.” Mingyu said while laughing softly.

“She really looked so excited, look at her eyes.” Dino said laughing, pointing at her.

“We heard that LE SSERAFIM are full of talented people-”

“We have three former members of Izone, Eden, Sakura and Chaewon who have debuted for the second time. Kazuha was a ballerina. Yunjin was an opera singer and Eunchae memorized your debut song in 10 minutes.”

What Na pd said received a couple of compliments not just from the other artists but also from the staff in front of the of girls which made them shy a little bit.

“Is that right?” Na pd asked them.

“Nae!” The girls answered and giggled.

“Wow…we are really looking forward to you today. Let’s have fun!” They all clapped again and now the girls move to the side.

As the highlight of it all, the TT team began walking when love me by Nu’est began playing holding up finger hearts, and then holding up a finger in the air when Lee hyun’s song played.

“Wow…really looks like an…” Eden began, unsure of how to continue her sentence without sounding too mean but the editors took the words right out of her mouth.

“Stop the song! Stop the song please!” Lee Hyun sounded desperate. He won’t get a break today will he, Eden thought.

The idols, however, continued their swaying, now opting to close their eyes and really basking in the beauty that is Lee Hyun’s voice.

The girls cheered, holding in their giggles at how uncomfortable the trio looked in the middle of all of them.

“Now the HYBE picnic has officially begun!”

Everyone cheered loudly.

“That was the 95% of the opening ceremony. We only have 5% left…!”

Eden tilted her head to the right, “That wasn’t it?” She whispered to Kazuha, who shrugged her shoulders.

“eonni, just smile and nod.” She whispered back and Eden held back a laugh.

“For the opening address, he claims that he provided the foundation, if SM has Kangta, then HYBE has Lee Hyun…” Na pd announced.

They laughed in delight as they listened to Lee Hyun’s very inspiring address, many falling to their knees from the atmosphere.

“Let’s go!”

Eden watched suspiciously as the staff members rolled coolers to the middle of the field, “What is that?!”

“You might end up breaking your band.” Na pd said, and the first episode of HYBE x The Game Caterers came to its end.

bao visited a cat cafe with sakura, the cat started climbing and laying all over her. sakura took a lot of pictures but you can barley see bao, like one is on her head, but bao big smile was adorable.

a clip of a fancall went viral on tiktok and twitter, bao recognized a fan that’s been supporting her since pristin. the fan was shocked she remembered them and the rest of the fancall was bao reciting their first meeting

First day of Kindergarten

On your first day of kindergarten you walked into the colorful classroom looking for a place to sit after hanging up your backpack next to a bright blue Hello Kitty themed bag. You looked at the name tag on the bag attempting to read the messy handwriting. “Kim Ch-Chaewon?” you stuttered out.

“Das my bookbag” a small voice mumbled from behind you. You turned around seeing a short girl who looked to be about 3 years old but was really 6 just like you. She had big brown eyes and jet black hair that stopped at her mid back with bangs. “Hewwo my name is Kim Chaewon, whats your name?” she asked shyly. Her eyes never met yours but stayed planted on your shoes which were a sparkly yellow that also had a Sanrio character stitched onto them.

“Hi Chaewonie, my name is L/N, F/N. I really like your bookbag. Do you wanna be my friend?” Chaewon was shocked by your sudden question, a wide smile pulling at her chubby cheeks.

“Really!!? Of course! I’ve never had a friend before!” She jumped up and down excitedly before clinging to your arm.

5th Grade

You looked over at your best friend who sat beside you in the hallway, holding her book-bag over her head just like you. You saw as the teacher smacked her hand when she attempted to lower her arms just for a second. “Ugh my arms are gonna break, seonsaengnim~” Chaewon whined her face was red from the actions but you still couldnt help but smile at her cute pout.

You and Chaewon were late to class because you two were rehearsing for your talent show duet you were doing together. You both dreamed of becoming idols together and winning global awards together. But right now all you two were accomplishing was the world record for how long a student could hold their backpack over their heads without crying. Although Chaewon failed, as tears streamed down her reddened cheeks.

10th grade

Chaewon started going to school at Hanlim performing arts school leaving you alone at school because she was able to become a trainee. Deep down your heart was aching, not only because you didn’t see your best friend often but because you had a hard time finding auditions and even passing the first one. You practiced hard day and night on top of studying until you got nose bleeds, becoming top student of your class.

Randomly when you were walking home from class one evening you saw a tall man in a business casual suit following behind you closely causing your heart to start racing and you started walking faster before bolting through the steep alleyway. “yah! slow down!” the man shouted eventually catching up to you when you fell, scrapping your exposed knees.

You were already frustrated with everything on your mind and not hearing from your best friend for a while, that you falling was really your last straw causing you to break down. “Oh! oh my are you alright? I didn’t mean to startle you” The man held out his hand offering help. You took his offer, standing up and brushing yourself off before you wiped your tears away with a sniffle. “Who are you?” You sniffled.

“Im a talent scouter. I work for JYP, you seem like idol material but from that fall I think you’d make a great actress as well.” the man laughed but you didn’t smile not once.

12th grade

When you heard about Chaewon’s debut in IZone you were practicing for your dance evaluation when Ryujin came up to you showing you her phone screen. “The year of the 4th gen girl groups are beginning!!!” she squealed excitedly. As you skimmed the group image of the 12 girls a certain red haired beauty caught your eye. Chaewon was stunning.

Later that night, as you were watching youtube you suddenly got a FaceTime notification and saw the name ‘Kim Chaewon’ pop up on your screen. You’ve never hit ‘join’ so fast in your life, smiling widely when Chaewon’s beautiful face popped up on the screen.

“Chaewonie!! I miss you so much! Congratulations unnie!! You look so beautiful in your debut photos.” You cheered through the phone.

“Aww I love you so much” Chaewon poked out her bottom lip giving you her signature pout that you received since the first day of Kindergarten. “It was just like yesterday when we were sitting in the hallway for several class periods holding our bags above our head” she brought up the memory, causing the two of you to burst out in fits of laughter. You two were awake until 2am retelling old memories and laughing away eventually falling asleep on the phone together like old times.

Present

It was the end of the year award shows, all of the kpop groups gathering together, performing and presenting awards. You had debuted under JYP after 3 years of training in the group ITZY, and Izone had a heartbreaking disbandment going their own ways, but some members like Chaewon and Sakura stayed together and debuted under HYBE as LeSserafim.

Being that you and Chaewon had a little more freedom now you guys would always spend time together nearly every time you could. One night Chaewon had confessed her feelings for you afraid that you wouldn’t feel the same way for her but ended up kissing her as your response. This began your private relationship not wanting anyone to know at all being as it could lead to a scandal and trouble for the both of you. But being since you’ve both been glued to the hip since your first day of school and even released childhood photos of the both of you, you both were certain no one would suspect a thing. And didn’t.

People would always ship you, and others would say you’re like siblings. As you and Chaewon were both relaxing in Chaewon’s room talking about random stuff you just took a moment to stop and admire her beauty. “Remember when we had dreamed of becoming idols together and winning awards?” You said suddenly. She nodded her head in response. “Can we add getting married and living happily together as well?” you whispered as you played with her shirt.

You shyly looked up at her the way she did when you two first met. “Yes we can” Chaewon caressed your cheek gently before lifting your chin to give her a kiss.
