not to sound like a queer theory textbook, but i wish there were more options for exploring masculinity within lgbt spaces. i'm bored of "women and nonbinary people" and "femmes and thems" and "no men allowed". i know there's a broad social scene for gay men, but i don't fit into that as i still like girls and i only pass about 30% of the time. i just wish there was a way i could meet other queer and GNC men in a non-sexual setting (i.e. not grindr) and talk with them about things like what masculinity means from their perspective, how they express it, how they relate to other men, and most importantly what brands of razors they use, because i can't keep using shitty plastic disposables forever i just can't

Let it be known I did NOT make Valin with love when I was creating a Warlock for myself. I'd made it to the Farm twice with two other attempted Warlocks but the vibes were off, so I decided to try a new beast entirely and made a Valin. He was originally going to have black hair and patternations but I found it too boring...

The red was garish and I wasn't too sure I liked what I had made but I decided to commit to that horrible beast and he has since grown on me like a fungus.

#When I went back to Destiny 1 I discovered I'd actually had a proto-Valin in the Warlock slot the entire time. #He had the more delicate male face and slightly different hair and patterns (and mint-green eyes) but it was very much Valinesque. #I wonder if I was compelled to make Valin in such a way because I subconsciously remembered this proto-Valin. #I have no memory of making that one and evidently I didn't get very far with him. #When I went back to replay Destiny 1 properly I decided I wanted to learn how to play as a Warlock. #Thus deleting the D1 proto-Valin and replacing him with Valin. #Season of the Worthy being as... as it was. Was essential to my consideration of Valin as a character. #And I'd learned to play as a Warlock... #It is funny. I have actually mained all three classes over time... #The first time I played Destiny on my old account (which became my mother's instead) was as a Titan. #Then when I got my own account I made a Hunter and played that way for years and years. #Up until 2020 when I had enough time to play Season of the Worthy across all three classes and discovered I was very fond of my beast... #But I was not familiar with a Warlock properly... #It was nice to replay Destiny 1. I really really enjoyed that experience. #Anyway. Now I am a Warlock main... #Whenever I open the menu I have to select the third character because I made Valin last... #But I don't think I would rearrange that order if I had a choice. #My skills as a Hunter have completely degraded by the way... i havent floated them out there in a few years but didnt have trouble filling slots a while ago and still get inquiries occasionally so it’s surpring to hear that’s changed. i suppose it was the nsfw ban in late 2018 that really nailed it though.

realized i got stuck because the emotional flow is nonsense (or just. incredibly weak. things don't connect and flow properly. where's the focus, i don't know, it should be there somewhere to make the ending scene hit properly) and you know, it's good to not get stuck on finer details and just power through a draft, but also when you get stuck stuck it's likely stemming from an issue way upstream of where you got stuck, which is the emotional flow as i mentioned.

i tracked it back all the way to the first paragraph. and ohhhh fucking shit hell it's bad and i don't know how to get it to work.

i don't want to expand the initial setup, but must, don't i? it just won't work if it's too dense, if i want to keep all the fun little stuff. and if i don't keep the fun stuff, what's even the point.
