Summary:You and Adam get into an arguement because he got jealous.

You and your boyfriend were out strolling the streets of New York after just having a delicious dinner at a classy restaurant. It was chilly so he had given you his coat, which was generous of him. "isn't it just beautiful out tonight?" you said looking around you. Adam looked at you and said "you make it beautiful out he tonight" you smiled trying not to laugh at his cheesy statement, but failed and you were now both laughing. Adam chuckled "all this laughing has made me realize I gotta take a leak". You started to look around and noticed a bar and thought that they might have a bathroom. "we could try there?" you suggested.

Once you got into the bar you both noticed the line for the bathroom was long so you headed to the bar to get yourself a drink whilst you waited for Adam. As you sat on a stool, drinking your drink you saw Adam still waiting in line looking miserable, you gave him an "I'm sorry" smile and he gave you a tight liped smile back. You turned, now facing the bar enjoying your drink, when you felt someone tap you shoulder. You looked over your shoulder and saw your ex-boyfriend from college, Matt. "Hi! how are you?" you said smiling, slightly in shock. "hey, I am doing pretty good, how 'bout yourself" Matt said looking down at you, as you were still siting down. “I’m great, just waiting for my boyfriend to use the restroom". You pointed to Adam, who was still waiting in the line, for some reason Adam look really pissed. Matt quietly said "oh" under his breath now looking down at his shoes. The two of you carried on with boring small talk.

After about five minutes of awkward small talk, Adam came back the bathroom, still looking mad, not saying a word to you or Matt. You were confused by his apparent frustration, “hey babe,this is my ex boyfriend from college,Matt.” You said smiling at Adam, who just looked at him and gave a weak “hello”. Matt could tell Adam was not interested in conversation so he looked to you and said his good byes and you did the same. Without a word, you and Adam headed toward the exit of the bar and started your walk back to the apartment that the two of you shared.

The distance from the bar and your apartment was not that long, but it felt as though you two were walk from New York to Florida because of how quiet and awkward it was. You just couldn’t figure out why Adam was being such a dick? Once unlocked the door you walked in and dropped your keys on the kitchen island, Adam following behind you and taking off his shoes at the door. You were over this miserable silence between the two of you so you turned around now facing Adam with your hands on your hips. “Why are you being such a fucking asshole?” you said exhaustedly. “I am not” Adam replied, in a monotone voice. “Bull shit” you stated scrunching you eyebrows together hands still placed on your hips. Adam sighed and said “well, maybe it has something to with the fact that you were obviously flirting with you ex boyfriend at the bar while I was waiting in line for the bathroom”. So that was it? That’s why he is being such a ass?!? You had a dumbfounded expression on you face. “ Adam are you fucking serious, that was not flirting that was literally just awkward small talk with an ex” you said in a very serious tone. “ Matt wanted you bad and you were leading him on I just know it” Adam replied, now getting a little more worked up. You just couldn’t believe what you were hearing, did Adam really feel this way? “ Adam, the fact that you think that I would cheat on you, says a lot about what you think of me as a person” you said in a sorrowful tone, arms now crossing your chest. Adam looked down at his feet looking like he was starting to feel embarrassed by the whole situation. You didn’t feel like putting up with this shit tonight, so you headed toward the bed room you two shared, passing right by Adam. “night” you sighed before twisting the door knob then closing it behind you. Once you were in the room you sighed and let the tears fall down your cheeks, you felt frustrated and upset about what Adam thought of you. You walked over to your dresser and put on some pajamas and crawled into bed hoping to sleep these feelings away.

Adam’s POV As soon has y/n closed the bedroom door I walked over to the couch and collapsed face first. My god how could I be such an idiot? I think y/n is a wonderful person, she would never cheat on anyone. I groaned, disappointed in myself, I turned over so that I was now facing the ceiling. I can’t believe that I made the human that I love most in the world feel this way. I started to feel my eyes get heavy and I realized I was starting to drift off.

Y/n POV

You suddenly woke up, feeling very thirsty, you tiredly turned toward your alarm clock to see that it was 2:45 in the morning. You started to debate with yourself whether or not you should go out and possibly face Adam to get a glass of water. You decided to get up and get water. You turned on your bed side light and crawled out of bed, as you headed towards the door you walked past your mirror and saw that you looked like a real mess, you didn’t seem to care though. You quietly opened the door and saw that Adam was asleep on the couch, you thought he looked cute, but then remembered how much of an ass he was being and cleared that thought from your head. You silently walked to the kitchen and when you got there you grabbed a glass and filled it up with water from the sink. You drank the water quickly, feeling the cold liquid pour into your empty stomach. you sighed, setting the glass down, then turning around to head back to your room, you saw Adam looking at you from the couch. “ hey” he said in a low, husky voice. “Hi” you whispered, now looking down at your feet. Adam got up from the couch still in his clothes from last night, and started walking towards you. “ I am so,so, sorry about everything y/n…I don’t know what came over me, I know your would never cheat” he said sincerely, now standing on the other side of your guy’s kitchen island, hands on the counter. You looked up at him and sighed “It really hurt, you know? To think that you thought that low of me. I mean come on Adam we’ve been together for 4 fucking years!” Adam was looking at you with tears in his eyes “I have jealousy problems, you now that, the way he was looking at you… really set me off, and I’m sorry”. You walked over to Adam and draped your arms around his neck and looked deep into his eyes and said “Adam, I have and will only ever, have eyes for you”. He smiled, hands now on your hips, “there really is no excuse for my behavior, but I hope that you can forgive me”. you placed a soft kiss on his lips and then whispered, “I forgive you”.

Beastie Boys - Check Your Head (21/04/1992)

Beastie Boys, el grupo que introdujo a la escena del Hip Hop conceptos como Rapcore, Rap rock y Rap alternativo fue formado en 1981 y estaba compuesto originalmente por Mike D (Michael Diamond), MCA (Adam Yauch) y Ad-Rock (Adam Horovitz).

El álbum "Check Your Head" fue lanzado hoy 21 de abril de 1992 y fue el tercer álbum de estudio de Beastie Boys. El álbum fue producido por el grupo y fue una desviación de su sonido anterior, que se centraba principalmente en el Rap. En cambio, "Check Your Head" incluyó una mezcla de géneros musicales, como el rock, el funk y el punk, y presentó a los miembros del grupo tocando instrumentos en vivo.

El álbum fue un éxito comercial y recibió críticas positivas. Fue certificado platino por la RIAA y ha sido incluido en varias listas de los mejores álbumes de la década de 1990.

En cuanto al rap en 1992, fue un año importante para el género. Muchos artistas de hip hop lanzaron álbumes aclamados por la crítica, incluyendo "The Chronic" de Dr. Dre, "Stunts, Blunts & Hip Hop" de Diamond D y "Daily Operation" de Gang Starr, por poner algunos de ejemplo. También fue el año en que se lanzó la película "Juice", que presentaba a Tupac Shakur en su primer papel importante en el cine.

Check Your Head fue lanzado tres años después del segundo álbum, Paul's Boutique; el disco fue grabado en el G-Son Studios en Atwater Village en 1991 bajo la dirección del productor Mario Caldato Jr., el tercer productor del grupo. Con menos samples que sus discos anteriores, el álbum presenta contribuciones instrumentales de los tres miembros: Adam Horovitz en la guitarra, Adam Yauch en el bajo y Mike Diamond en la batería.

El álbum fue relanzado en varios formatos, es uno de los álbumes descritos en el libro de 2007 Check the Technique, que incluye un desglose pista por pista de Diamond, Yauch, Horovitz, Caldato y el frecuente colaborador de Beasties, Money Mark.

El álbum marcó la primera aparición del teclista Money Mark, quien se convirtió en colaborador habitual de la banda y se considera un regreso de los Beastie Boys a sus raíces punk. En la caratula se presentan fotos del artista Glen E. Friedman de los Beasties.

MCA always held a special place in my heart as he discovered Tibetan Buddhism around the same time I did. He was much changed as I was.
