Too Cute For Boundaries

Heyo y'all, I wrote a thing.

Summary: Kisame can't seem to find a reason to get up right now.

Kisame had awoken early in the morning, gently roused by the start of gentle rainfall tapping against the thin window. Dim barely there light was fighting its way through the same window despite the cloud cover, signalling the start of another long day of travelling with only a thread of a real lead on the whereabouts of their target. Not a man that shirked off duty, it was abnormal for him to continue lying still in the bed. It wasn’t even comfortable, somehow managing just the right balance of lumpy, squishy, odd-smelling, and scratchy fabric to make him genuinely long to be camping outside. It wasn’t comfort that kept him still, even as he focussed on the most minute sounds of movement through the thin walls of Itachi’s room. 

Cuddled up to him to fend off the chill that seeped through the poorly insulated building was the reason for his procrastination. Waking up with the shrimp snuggled up to him wasn’t even that irregular of an occurrence by now, but still, sometimes it made him pause. He wouldn’t say he was desperate for human contact, nor was he lonely, and despite knowing she was far more innocent than he could even pretend to be, it wasn’t that either. Something about waking up with her tucked safely to his side just made him want to savour it anyway. 

Maybe she could feel his eyes on her, or maybe even sense his puzzled emotions, or possibly she was just accustomed to the usual wake-up times her shinobi companions maintained. Either way, she began to stir, her breathing became slightly heavy and her face scrunched, and she flexed her hands, the one that was resting on him dug into his skin briefly before she released and began to stretch the rest of her body. Unfurling from her spot against him with a groggy groan, rolling back and forth, bumping into him, allowing her body to contort in whichever way it craved without remorse for how it affected him, before finishing her morning routine by rolling onto him and finally relaxing. If it was anyone else, he would have simply shoved them out of the bed. 

Not that he shared his bed with anyone else regularly, and certainly not repeatedly.

Why he even allowed it? He supposed it was part of the reason he had still yet to move.

“Morning,” she said, her voice scratchy and soft, waking up the same as her. Still settled partly on top of him, she had yet to open her eyes, taking the opportunity to rest for as long as she could get away with. But the noise from the adjoining room had become deliberately more noticeable, Itachi’s polite warning for them to get going. 

A gruff sigh helmed his morning greeting, the closest to irritation he could manage as the shrimp finally opened her eyes and looked up at him. “We’ve gotta get up, ‘Tachi’s getting impatient.” 

His voice came out as a rumble thanks to the added pressure of the pesky guppy using him as a pillow, sighing out a “Kay,” while not moving a single muscle to do so. After another moment he let out a chuf of disbelieving laughter.

“Why do I let you get away with the things you do?” He asked aloud, mostly to himself, but she always had an amusing answer to give.

"It's 'cause I'm cute," she said coyly.

He wasn’t going to argue with that, and neither would believe him no matter how he denied it, so instead, he tried playing her game. 

"Oh, so I'm not?"

Her giggle was near silent, mostly a few intakes of breath, but he could feel her shaking him with the entirety of her body anyway. "Of course you are, you're adorable!"

"Well then-" he then proceeded to stretch similarly to her, rolling around the bed and forcing her to fall off of him till he mimicked her and rested the majority of his weight  on top of her, "I guess I'll stretch too!" This was met with protest, her voice strained from his extra weight pressing her into the mattress, but her wheezing giggles made it clear she wasn't all that bothered. Plus, she was definitely awake now, but Kisame’s survival instincts were alerting him of a grumpy Uchiha a thin wall away from them patiently waiting to leave, so he carefully rolled off of her and got to grabbing his belongings. 

Another long day of work was ahead of them.

Why is Gilbert using an eyepatch?

Because he knew one day, he would die, and when he heard about the story of the real Leon Dompteur, that his mother is looking for a slave boy that looks exactly like the real prince (yeah he knows that too) and Gil thinks that's cool

He actually found someone who looks like him, and since his eyepatch is covering (almost) half of his face, no one would know (that the real Gilbert is dead, if ever)

But ofc his "duplicate" isn't needed anymore because he decided to live for Emma

Why did he remove it?

Ehehe bc lovey dovey time

After undressing her, Gil is taking his sweet time admiring his little bunny's body

Emma is shy and covered her chests with her arms, and Gil said he will remove his eyepatch

He did, and she was bamboozled

Now he can see her in full view lol ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

And said that he will only remove his eyepatch whenever he and Emma are alone

Why red and blue eyes?

The red eye was from the father side while the blue was from the mother side

If I'm not mistaken, red was the eye color of Obsidian family

It's only Gilbert who has red and blue eyes

About Chev and Gil

Chev and Gil have known each other since they were kids, and often read books together (I think near his "hideout"? Because the background is the same from the flashback and from the scene where he took Emma to his private place or probably in some sort of alley

Chev knows that Gil was once like Emma, who is pure hearted

He asked Chev that if ever he's not around Emma, Chev must protect her, since he is the only one who can protect her

Chev was stunned, it took him a moment to understand what Gilbert means, it's his will, his dying wish

After exchanging a few words, Chev agreed

His family?

Gil had 4 brothers, all dead. Including their mom. I think he has no relatives other than Yves, after all, the Obsidian family are killing each other for the throne

He is the current emperor, he killed his father, who tried (and failed) to invade Rhodolite 10 years ago

First love

Gilbert and Emma have never met before, but since Gilbert used to stay in Rhodolite when he was a child, he met Akatsuki (bookstore owner) and Emma's adoptive father. Akatsuki mentioned that little Emma is so pure hearted and loves books, just like him.

Whenever Gilbert and Akatsuki met, he will tell him more about her and Akatsuki blamed himself for Gilbert's obsession for Emma

And since he's so obsessed with her, he made sure she will stay by his side, Emma was a hostage but she actually went with him in Obsidian willingly

Since the emperor fell in love with her, overnight Emma became the Empress of Obsidian (proxy)

Whoever discovers his illness (his weakness) will die, and Emma finds out (thanks Walter)

Gil strangled her, but when she passed out, he lets go and bury his face on her shoulder

His doctor shouted at him that if he kills the woman he loves, he will suffer more

Gil denies this, and when Emma woke up, he gave her a choice, either die or she will live with him forever

But he refused to have surgery, saying that the evil bloodline of the Obsidian family must end with him

Honestly after gaiden kishi can just do anything. If he wrote that sasuke used to physically hurt Sakura but they're hearts are connected we would have to believe him cause what did he do during gaiden ?

Firstly, let me just nitpick something - Saying that "Sasuke used to physically hurt Sakura" gives the impression that he just used to physically abuse her out of the blue for no reason, but that's clearly not the case. They were on opposite sides of a war, she tried to kill him while he was crazy, and he returned the favour.

Secondly and more importantly, Gaiden was by no means the prime example of Kishi writing wholly unrealistic levels of forgiveness, the main manga is full of examples.

Gaara becoming the Kazakage of the very village where he was feared as a killing machine who slaughtered many innocents. The villagers were able to forgive him despite his former reputation.

Hinata and Neji mending their relationship despite the latter aiming to kill the former during the Chuunin exams.

Naruto and Sakura never giving up on Sasuke, despite all of his international transgressions.

Sasuke being given a full pardon at the end, despite being an international criminal who invaded the Hidden Cloud and seemingly kidnapped their Jinchuuriki, which was the trigger that led to the 4th Shinobi War.

This is probably the prime example in my opinion - Naruto describing Obito as "cool", despite the latter causing by far the most shit in the entire series, and also greatly wronging Naruto on a personal level by being the direct cause of both of his parents deaths. And why did Naruto describe Obito as cool? For no other reason other than the fact that the latter wanted to become the Hokage during his youth, that's it. Never mind all of the criminal activity with the 4th Mizukage, never mind all of the criminal activity with the Akatsuki, never mind attacking Konoha and causing the deaths of his parents. Nope, he wanted to become the Hokage when he was young, so he's automatically cool...

And yet people ignore all of that. But Sasuke and Sakura's relationship? That's where they wanna draw the line and say Sakura still loving Sasuke is bullshit? It's fucking unbelievable.

The unease had been steadily building in the pit of your stomach, yet given what was currently happening to Konoha, it made sense. An unprecedented attack by the vile monsters of the Akatsuki was sure to be the reason and nothing more.

You tried to convince yourself of this whilst helping to shepherd the children to safety with the other academy sensei. Your head spun thought after thought until you were dizzy thinking about it, but your heart knew differently.

The erratic beat that thundered against your ribs was nothing to do with fear over the attack, you knew that the village was well protected by the very best and that Lady Tsunade would pull through with some kind of plan sooner or later. No—this was everything to do with that primal part of you that recognised that something was about to happen that would change your life forever.

It was terrifying, although you couldn’t deny there was a tremor of excitement for what might happen. A hand flew against the nearest wall, steadying your frame as a wave of nausea swept through your stomach and your vision turned blurry. Pain, unimaginable pain, spread from the tips of your fingers and raced towards your heart. It felt like lightning was invading your very soul, burning away everything else that mattered until there was only one thought remaining—it was them.

You had never found the one, the person you were destined to be with and who would make your soul complete. In a way, you’d been glad of it as it removed the burden of expectation from your shoulders, even if deep down you wanted to have that bone-deep connection with someone.

The realisation that it was your soulmate that caused the ache within your chest caused cold sweat to bead along your forehead, your knees trembled and your brain simply refused to form any logical thoughts. Strange how only now could you relate the first lances of pain to those you had felt over the years, always putting it down to the stresses of your job or maybe you were sick. That one moment many years ago when it had felt like your eye was being carved from your skull, the pain blinding you for days until it had eventually passed. Now, you knew without a doubt that these incidents had been times when your soulmate had been wounded.

How you managed to walk through the eerily empty streets of the village, you didn’t know. Explosions and the sound of distant fighting skimmed over your consciousness like pebbles on the surface of a shimmering lake but you paid them no heed. An invisible thread was pulling you forward, the strands binding around your heart in quick succession, coiling in every direction until you were fully ensnared by the shimmering thread.

You stopped by the edge of a crater that looked freshly made and what you saw stole the air from your lungs and the strength from your legs. Collapsed to your knees in the dirt, you watched as a man you knew of but had never officially met, fought against a man you could only describe as terrifying. Other than to know instinctively that the enemy was a monstrous creature, you paid him no mind as your gaze became glued to the shinobi below.

His silver hair was striking, cutting through the gloom in its brilliance, the strands sticking up at an odd angle which you might have found endearing had it not been for the dire situation. He was trapped up to his waist in rubble and fallen debris, his arms pinned by his sides. Dirt streaks coated his skin along with a mixture of blood and sweat that dripped from beneath his forehead protector. There was another shinobi laying on his back off to the side, and he didn’t look to be in a good state, but again, you found it impossible to focus on anything other than the trapped man.

Kakashi Hatake, the legendary copycat ninja of the hidden leaf, one of the greatest Anbu captains and a shinobi to be respected by his comrades and feared by his enemies. He was your soulmate.

He was gravely wounded, the pain in your chest an indication of his state. Had you met him prior to this moment, and experienced that first physical touch with him, then you would be dying too. Part of you wanted it to be that way. How cruel could fate be to bring you to the man you were destined to love with all your heart and soul, who was the other part of you, only to watch him die in front of your eyes?

Every part of you ached; not only from the pain that Kakashi was experiencing but for everything that could have been and never would be. It hurt simply to breathe, your lungs burning from every painful inhale of smoke-filled air. Tears had blurred your vision and you weren’t even aware that you had crawled on hands and knees down the sharp incline towards the silver-haired man. Never mind that the enemy was still there, knowing that he could kill you in a heartbeat but wanting to reach Kakashi, to stretch out your fingers and graze his fingertips. To seal the connection that would drag you into the afterlife along with him.

You froze in your place, eyes snapped up to watch as a nail shot towards Kakashi from the auburn-haired Akatsuki member. The scream caught in your throat, halted by the piercing glare of the Sharingan and the nail warped out of sight. It had happened within the blink of an eye, and the way he slumped forward made it look like it had hit him but he was definitely still alive.

A flicker of hope ignited in your heart, the thread that bound you to Kakashi twisted and writhed until you couldn���t help but rub at the spot on your chest. You crawled slowly, easing your way around the rumble in an attempt to keep yourself hidden from sight. It would not be wise to be seen if there was even the slightest chance that he would survive. The redhead would like only to use you as a way to hurt him further, and that would never do.

Movement caught your attention, a young shinobi trying to flee the area and the mechanical contraption on the ground firing a missile despite looking as if it were completely trashed. You watched through wide fearful eyes as you sensed movement within Kakashi’s body, you knew what he was going to do before he had released the remaining stores of his chakra.

You would swear that his head tilted to where you were hidden from sight, his eyelids drooping as if in apology before he sacrificed himself to save the kid. It was honourable, in your mind, you understood his decision but your heart and soul shattered.

Your scream rent the air, the sound of pure unfiltered agony as you felt Kakashi’s spirit leave his body. The pain was unbearable, the gut-wrenching agony that twisted at your limbs as if you were physically being manipulated into an unnatural state. It was back-breaking, nerve-shredding and blood-curdling as you howled your sorrowful lament at the sky. There wouldn’t be a person for miles that did not hear of your pain.

With the death of your soulmate still ringing in your ears, your eyes slid shut as your face crashed into the dirt. It had been too much for your psyche to bear, your mind welcomed the dark with open arms.

Why did you have to be there?

Kakashi had felt your presence during his battle with the two Peins, and he prayed you would stay back, that you would keep yourself safe so that didn’t have yet another soul on his conscious in the end but you hadn’t.

It was just his luck that the sense of his soulmate nearby would kick in within the last moments of his life. He had never been blessed with luck with any such matters, so why should it be any different now?

He couldn't see you, and it was a blessing. It would only cause him even more suffering if he were to know how beautiful you were. He could already feel it in his heart, strings of fate tugging incessantly around the organ that was growing sluggish with every passing second. They sang to him of your beauty, of your tender heart that he would have loved to have cherished for the rest of his days and of your bravery as you made your way towards him.

Kakashi had hoped that his plan to act dead would work, that Pein would take his leave and he could be healed to rejoin the fighting, but that wish was short-lived. The whirring of the mechanical Pein stirred his senses, and he knew that a missile was being launched directly at the fleeing figure of Choji.

There was no way that he would allow the life of a boy that had not been given the chance to grow into adulthood to end. He knew it was suicide, that he would die if he used up the remaining tendrils of his chakra but nothing would divert his will.

He sensed your presence once more, Kakashi knew that you could see him although he could not see you. His eyes swivelled to the pile of debris you were concealed behind and let his eyelids close slowly. It was the most he could do without alerting the enemy to your location.

A feminine sound scream echoed within his brain as he activated his Sharingan for the very final time, swallowing the missile aimed at Choji’s back and feeling the darkness swallow him whole.

Kakashi had always thought that he would welcome death when it came, but there was something that prevented him from accepting his demise with grace. That small flame of desire for a happy life, someone to come home to and enjoy the comforts of domesticity. Never had he thought it would be on the cards for him, he knew that his soulmate was out there but had never actively sought them out as others had.

He longed for someone to hold his hand, to cuddle him close and soothe his fears when he woke in the middle of the night. Was it so much to ask for? A glimmer of normality after all the bullshit he had endured?

The scream that had been only in his mind pierced the veil of reality as he slipped from his body. He felt weightless, tugged behind the navel as he found himself elsewhere. His instinct had been to fight against the sensation, to cling to the strings that bound him to you, to fight with every fibre of his being to find you and be with you, but it was a losing battle.

Three familiar figures stood before him, faces that he had longed to see but he found no comfort in their presence. Kakashi stared into the happy expressions of his sensei and two friends. Minato, Obito and Rin; they smiled at him and beckoned him forth.

He wanted to follow, to find out where they went and be reunited but he still felt as if something was bound around his ankle, pulling him and begging for him to return. No, not his ankle, his chest. A weight pressed against him, made it hard to draw air into his lungs but soon enough his focus was diverted.

A man sat on a log, a crackling fire illuminating a face that was all too familiar to him and it hurt. Had he ever really forgiven his father for leaving him alone in such a harsh world? As he matured, he had come to accept his death and he certainly understood his reasoning more than he had as a wilful teenager, but he struggled with the thought of forgiveness.

He sat heavily and let the silence linger.

“You're too early, son.”

“I don't think I really had a say in the matter,” he retorted with a shrug.

The flames writhed, dancing and leaping upon the wood. “Perhaps we Hatakes are doomed to die young,” his father lamented sadly.

Kakashi wondered why he was here, it felt different to how his friends had appeared, this seemed more real and he studied his father for a moment. Comprehension dawned, slow and unfurling like a late bloom in a garden full of bright colours.

Whilst he still felt that he didn’t want to pass on, Kakashi found that the bitterness that had been directed at Sakumo was wiped away, erased as he understood that his father needed something from him.

“I understand why you did what you did,” he whispered, staring at his hands as they curled into loose fists. The anger that had once burned bright in his soul was snuffed out by a gentle presence that was new yet familiar.

Sakumo nodded, head bowed as if lost in thought.

“I forgive you… dad.”

He felt the hand land on his shoulders, the fingers that squeezed gently into him along with the quiet chuckle.

“Thank you, it’s going to be nice to see your mother again. I’ve missed her, almost as much as I’ve missed you.”

“Why did you wait here?”

Sakumo sighed. “I think you know why, I needed to know that you understood why I did what I did. I refused to move on to the afterlife knowing that you resented me, hated me even.”

There was a hush that fell over them, an understanding that settled like a comforting weight and his heart felt lighter than it had done in years. If only he had met you properly, had been given the chance to learn about you and love you for who you were and not only the soulmate connection, he would be happy to follow his father into whatever lay ahead.

“You’ve still got many things left to do Kakashi,” his father interrupted his train of thoughts, “and someone is desperate for you to return.”

His father smiled, and it was a genuine grin that reached his eyes, the corners crinkling affectionately.

“Don’t keep her waiting.”

On those final words, everything went dark once more. There was a rushing sound in his ears that shifted into a wailing noise that tore at his chest.

Someone was draped around his torso, or what part of it was sticking out from his prison. He felt the pressure against his body and realised with a jolt that he was alive. His heart thundered wildly, air drawn heavily into his lungs and his eyes springing open.

The presence tumbled back and there you were.

Tears masked your face, cheeks burning red with streaks of dirt and blood and he had never seen anyone so beautiful in all his life.

Your sobs started anew, your entire face falling into anguish as he struggled to free himself. He was desperate to touch you, if you’d allow it, to seal the connection that was pounding in his soul.

“It’s you,” he croaked, his voice raw and broken with emotion.

You nodded, wiping at your snotty nose and he hated the prominent tremble in your hands.

“Y-you’re alive.”

He was, and never again would he take his life for granted. From his death, he had found you and he’d fight every monster that stood in his way to keep coming back to you.

Kakashi grunted as he finally managed to pull his arm free, his hand raised in invitation, and he watched you study him intently.

The strings around his heart pulled taut as your fingers reached out. As his fingertips grazed your own, the shockwave rippled through you both.

No longer were either of you alone in this world, you were two halves that made a whole. Two souls joined in unity for now and forever, bound together in fate until you both took your dying breath.

Well... i finished to watch the first 50 episodes and i can say only this:

"I can’t watch Boruto.

And I’m never going to be able to. First: the fact that the academy children are chunin level. It doesn’t make their power ups interesting and you aren’t surprised by anything they do. Defeating jounin level ninjas with one blow as an academy student is unheard of and quite frankly it doesn’t make anything worthwhile. It sucks seeing people praise that the new generation is surpassing the old one so quickly, so soon, so young. What is there to be proud of in that? I don’t really understand how you could praise the fact that children are this powerful due to heritage. It’s basically cheating. It’s the equivalent of why everyone disliked Sasuke due to his literal genes. Everyone who goes after him always comments how lucky he was to be born a Uchiha. He was legendary for his genes alone but that isn’t what made him a Godly ninja. He trained himself to become that strong, he was just luckily gifted with Uchiha genes, but Sasuke still trained his body to endure different change in chakra natures and learned taijutsu and adapted to different fighting styles and combat.

Boruto is using three different chakra natures when a jounin has been said to only adapt to two? The idiocy. It’s ridiculous. It’s not even about outshining the old generation anymore it’s about making the old generation look as kitten and incompetent as possible now.

People are starting to say that Boruto’s team would pass the Bell Test with flying colors in this day and age–do any of you realize that Bell Test was revolutionary for not only team work but hard work? kitten would it look like having these twelve year olds basically slit their sensei’s neck to retrieve bells in this day and age? The old Naruto had feeling because they worked hard for every achievement and teamwork aside, they used what little knowledge and training they had. The Next Generation kids seem to be able to snap their fingers and hurricanes and tsnuamis happen. A child that’s half a Hyuuga can use a gentle fist better than his own mother at her age and she’s full blooded Hyuuga. Also on top of that let’s not forget that Boruto hasn’t trained for that technique, he’s just gifted, as they say. They are comparing the Jougan to Naruto’s Kyuubi–what even? First of all a jinchuuriki and special prowess are not and never will be in the same realm.

This show continues to anger me as it goes on. It’s utter trash. Also not to mention the villains are weak minded as hell. Everything is being rehashed and in the worst possible way, too. It’s not interesting, there are no build ups only cliff hangers because they manage to work you up for an entire episode of just dialogue only just when things are about to somewhat hold your attention the episode ends (I see they are taking points from DBZ with that set up) but it makes the fights less anticipated and worthwhile

Second: Naruto and Orochimaru are friends now???? Wtf??! Oh yes, wait, Orochimaru has helped him during the 4th ninja war so he is justified or not?? Ok let's see:

Yeah it's not like Orochimaru did anything wrong in the first place.

 -Perform illegal experiments on people

-Became a missing-nin (S rank criminal) 

-Killed the Third Hokage 

-Attempted to kill Tsunade when she was a candidate to become the Fifth Hokage.

-Killed the Fourth Kazekage (Gaara's father even if he was an a*hole) 

-Invaded Konoha.

Land of Waves arc is unironically the best one

its also the ONLY standard mission in the entire manga?? literally, at no point does anyone interact with a client after tazuna, its all in response to orochimaru/akatsuki. Naruto your resume is ridiculous. The reason Kakashi is 6th Hokage is not because Naruto wasn't strong enough, but because he needed to learn what the actual job of being a ninja entails. Yes you are very strong but you do need to have a basic grasp of paperwork systems.

Its kind of weird that, out of all the akatsuki, kisame is the one who hangs around the longest. Most of the others show up, do their bit, and then are immediately killed. Kisame is introduced first and dies last.

i've already mentioned this in another post but the Cycle of Hatred thing does not work. It worked as a motivation for Pein, but like. The reason the villages kept declaring war on each other wasn't for revenge, it was because their economic system was inherently tied to being the one with the strongest military and also they were paranoid that if someone else got too strong they would be invaded first.

Related: they should've had warring clans exposition and details about the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd wars BEFORE Pein showed up. If there were more details about wars in the past presented in a tragic-but-still-overall-necessary light, then Pein showing up and going "you miserable bastards trample over everyone weaker than you and deserve to be punished or it." It would have had more weight. Literally you could've slotted this during Naruto's initial training with Jiraiya as a follow-up to Hiruzen's "The chuunin exams are a replacement for war" speech.

Sakura why the fuck didnt you marry Ino

Kishimoto did Sakura so dirty at every turn. Literally every time she gets screentime she goes "THIS TIME... I WILL BE THE ONE WHO PROTECTS YOU...!" and has a cool moment, and then gets immediately overshadowed.

Literally at one point she's like "in the chuunin exams i was so weak... i hid behind you guys at every turn" and i felt like I was going insane because both during wave and the chuunin exams she has moments where she's like "yeah i dont have any special powers but i DO have a knife and you're going through me FIRST, fucker" which is honestly way cooler to me than like 90% of all the jutsu bullshit. Literally she stands in between a berserk gaara and a crippled sasuke armed with nothing but a kunai and pure fucking grit.

its very funny to me that the first time naruto ever does a nature transformation its rasenshuriken. Kakashi woke up in a cold sweat one day and realized he forgot to do the most basic teaching about chakra theory when they were genin. Whoops.

Im sorry but i legitimately do not care about the sage OR his sons OR the reincarnation twist. Its not interesting to me and I WILL be ignoring it. I'm all for the sage being reminded of his kids or the idea of history being cyclical, but explicitly going "no youre a reincarnation, this was Fated" is dumb and kishimoto SHOULD feel bad.

Edo Tensei arc is unironically very funny to me. Kabuto is having a mid-life crisis and has turned into a snake about it, and has decided to raise a bunch of dead badasses for. reasons. honestly i am not sure how his goals required obito or the akatsuki??

Anyways he raises a bunch of badasses and WHOOPS theyre all comedians. Deidara and Sasori are bickering, Itachi is being even more of an unhinged control freak than normal, the Mizukage is curbstomping everyone while berating them for not hitting the weakpoints he's explicitly telling them about, Tobirama is annoyed at everyone but mostly himself for actually coming up with this jutsu, and madara puts his entire plan on hold for a minute because he sensed his ex boyfriend and got incredibly horny.

Orochimaru gets brought back to life and promptly goes "actually i take back my plans about konoha, watching sasuke is INFINITELY more entertaining. Also I'm going to help out against the akatsuki because Kabuto's snake fursona is a tacky knockoff of me and I'm disowning him for being lame." I also liked him being chummy with Tsunade, that was very cute. I kind of wish Jiraiya HAD gotten edo tensei'd so that all three sannin could have been reunited on the same side? It would have been cute??

I feel strongly that Sakura and Karin deserve to go to some hot springs together and mutually complain to each other about being unfortunately attracted to the most misogynistic man on the planet after kishimoto himself. Orochimaru and Ino can tag along because they LOVE gossip and complaining.

Gai being the only person on the planet strong enough to beat the crap out of Madara is great, actually. Yes you can block all ninjutsu and genjutsu, but can you block his fists? No.

The "special chakra" produced in uchiha brains is actually entirely unrelated to the sharingan. It mostly just causes brain damage. This is why Madara, Obito, and Sasuke are all Like That.

Obito's heel face turn and the ensuing team up with Kakashi is, against all odds, actually good. I am willing to overlook Obito temporarily coming back from the dead through sheer willpower both because its cool and because we've already established chakra is bullshit and ghosts exist.

Obito your plans are dumb, your motivation is stupid, your critical thinking skills are nonexistent, and your coping mechanisms are insane. Somehow I still like you, despite this??

Akatsuki no Yona Typing Redone: Yona

Since I just rewatched the anime and I'm rereading the manga. I think I should update the typing. I have learned a lot more after my first sorting. While it's mostly the same, I will give each character more detailed analysis so each character will get one post dedicated to them alone. And other minor characters will be posted together in a 'bonus' post.

Let's start with our titular protagonist - Yona.

Yona

Typing: ENFJ 1w2 sp/so

Sorting: Snake primary (Badger model) and Lion secondary (Badger model)

Our beloved Yona. This is the character I resonated with the most out of all other characters. I totally understand her 'I need to be stronger' and 'I want to protect people dearest to me, even if I have to risk my life' and she is just a breath of fresh air for me. But that's not the point. Yona started off as a naïve, airy-fairy princess ignorant of the world around her. But that was her immaturity (she was raised sheltered, spoiled and never having to do anything in her life). It could be said that her personality starts to really develop after she got driven out of the castle.

She is Fe-dom, her emotions are immediate and upfront. Whenever she feels something, she says it out loud. But she also knows how to say it in a way that's appropriate to the situation. She is an organizer (EJs) but she doesn't do it through systems and logic like Yoon (ESTJ) does. Instead she does it through emotional motivation and finding consensus. Yona bonds herself very readily to the people around her and usually prioritize others feelings first in every single one of her decisions. She rages for them. She fights for them. Their pain is her pain and their grief is her grief. It's Fe that allows her to understand the pain of everyone around her and how she would want it to be better (Fe-Ni + enneagram 1).

She also knows exactly what to say to get under the skin of just about everyone. She knows exactly what to say to Seiryuu villagers and to Sinha. She intuitively knows that Sinha isn't dangerous and there is no reason to fear him. She knows his pain and what he has been through and she knows 'his soul'. All that based on very little information (his hand is warm and Ao loves him). That is very Ni.

Afterward, she knows exactly what Sinha needs to hear the most 'You are not destructive'. That sentence alone addresses all the trauma he has been through. And Yona just casually knows it and says exactly that. Yona is also occasionally heavily symbolic (comparing Sinha to the moon and Zeno to the sun) and keeps bigger picture in mind at all time. She is also very reckless and opportunistic. She shows heavy use of Se a lot but her Se is still pretty weak (doesn't know her limit and needs to be reminded by sensors around her to stop). It's her Ni-Se that allows her to sense that something is happening in Awa (people smiles feel fake - something even Yoon doesn't notice) and later when Li Hazara was about to invade Kouka.

Yona is driven by her very strong moral compass and anger at injustices. But those anger isn't 'pure' anger, it's righteousness. She believes there are certain things that cannot be forgiven and certain action that is honorable. And she will uphold it even if she has to work twice as hard or risk herself because they are the 'right' thing to do. That is healthy enneagram 1w2.

While she has a very strong judgment, she doesn't project it outward to other people. She focuses on bettering herself first to deserve and protect people around her. When something doesn't feel right in her gut (like when she told Gigan Senjou she'll pick Senjusou again because the first time Jaeha helped her) she won't back down on it. She will do it 'right'. She is very firm on her principle and if something isn't right, she'll call on it. But she also has strong 2 wing that lends in helpfulness and softer touch to her enneagram 1. She doesn't shove her beliefs on other people but instead seek to work together with them to get the desired outcome (wing 2 + Fe).

Her sorting is pretty simple. She is Snake primary, her motivation is 'I want to protect people that are dear to me'. This concept is further expanded when she made it her mission to look after the kingdom her father 'loves' so much. Her father was one of the most important people in her circle, so what he loves (his ideal of peace, his kingdom, his people) is also hers to protect as well. Then she starts bonding with people left and right but not in a Badger way. She takes them in and made them hers.

She is willing to do everything to make sure her people is safe. And her biggest fear is to have anyone of her people got hurt or killed. But her Snake primary also made her vulnerable the most when Suwon killed King Il. That betrayal shook her world to the core. But she didn't let it burn her primary, instead she heals through her connections with other people (first in Wind Tribe - Taeyeon, Mundeok and other people in Wind Tribe. Then the dragons and people of Awa). I think Mundeok and the guys in Wind tribe save her from burning - 'everyone in the wind tribe is a family. You are our family now'. I think it's precisely this that saves her from burning.

Her secondary is Lion. She is honest to the fault, react from the gut and stand by her truth. Her strength is in her solid willpower. She pushes on when things get hard. She stands her ground against all adversary. She is a natural leader who inspires everyone around her through the strength of character and sense of righteousness (healthy Lion secondary). She can't stand sitting on the side line doing nothing. She needs to get into actions and react. Doing nothing limits her because she only finds her strength when she faces adversary head on. Like when she rushes out to confront Taejun (I didn't leave Wind Tribe to hide under Hak forever, there is something I must do now).

I doubted it a bit because what she said to Jaeha and Sinha sometimes felt like a deliberate manipulation (saying it's alright if you don't want to come with her, but stick around and suggests it. Saying what they want/need to hear. Presenting herself in a way that they will have to come with her). For a Snake sec like me, that's something I'd say because I know it'll work. But that doesn't align with Yona's character so I go with Lion secondary. That goes to show how different secondary can come up with the same motive and action only with different flavor internally.

But she also values fair play and hard work. Which shows strong Badger secondary model. She is willing to put in hard work (200 arrows a night is a LOT, especially if you've never handled a bow before) and wants to do things fair and square. She never looks for shortcuts. She will do things the right way and put in the efforts until it happens. She's also very caring and helpful in a Badger sec way as well. She knows she isn't strong enough so she has to put in the effort to make herself stronger.

All in all, a very compelling and inspirational character. She reminds me that no matter what is happening to you right now. Only you can tell you who you are and what you can be. You can let them break you, or you can carry it and make sure what happens to you never happen to anyone else. And only you can make that choice to protect what is dear to you and take the responsibility and hard work that comes with it. Only you can make yourself worthy, just like how Yona molds herself into a great leader that she is :)

The Akatsuki have gathered in the hideout as their leader spoke. Today they would be getting their newest member.

Pein spoke. “Everyone. I would like you to meet our newest addition to our organization.” He turned towards the door. “You may come in now.”

The door then opened. You immediately strutted inside. Pein blinked his rinnegan eyes as he took in your appearance.

You had an extremely voluptuous, hourglass figure with boobs bigger than huge dumplings and hips wider than the distance between the Hidden Leaf and the Hidden Sand.

Okay so maybe that was a bit of an exaggeration, but those curves of yours were hard to ignore. You also had a full face of makeup that made you look entirely different than your usual appearance.

Pein furrowed a brow. You had modified the Akatsuki cloak into a revealing strapless minidress that bared your hips. There was no doubt that you weren’t wearing underwear.

“Heyyyy~” you greet in your valley girl accent. “I’m Y/N L/N!”

The other Akatsuki had mixed expressions. They had never seen anything like you before.

Kakuzu just stared, completely unimpressed. Hidan licked his lips as he took in your curves. Was that ass real? Fake? Who cares! You looked hot as hell!

Deidara was also lost in your curves. Your hourglass figure was a work of art. Sasori had to agree. Of course Sasori kept his usual passive poker face.

Kisame just blinked while Itachi looked at you suspiciously. He couldn’t help but think that he heard your last name somewhere before.

You pulled out a large sheet of paper and flashed it at Pein. He took it and examined it. “What is this…?”

“That’s an exclusive contract drafted by my momager for my spin off reality show!” You explain. Pein raised an eyebrow. “Reality show?” You nodded. “Yes!”

You place your hands on your wide hips as you flash your best smile. “Keeping Up With the Akatsuki!”

As of on cue, a whole team of cameramen, producers, makeup artists, and designers all invade the room.

The Akatsuki members had widened their eyes, including Pein who could no longer hide his shock.

“…What the hell?!”

You sat in a room as you got to know the Akatsuki members.

They couldn’t believe that Pein agreed to sign the contract. But then again he needed your power and influence to strengthen the Akatsuki’s military power.

“I’m from the Village Hidden in Calabasas!” You say. You then pointed at the solid gold headband that you wore on your waist.

The village emblem consisted of a palm tree with a small sun next to it.

“See? I had this custom made by ‘Lumi Vuitton!’ It costed me billions to get this done!”

Kakuzu widened his eyes. Billions?! Just how much was your net worth? Did you have a bounty?! He would surely find out! That ass of yours alone must have been expensive and definitely worth selling for a profit!

Hidan had a big grin on his face. “Damn! Calabasas?! That Village gots some fine bitches!”

Itachi raised a brow. He heard of Hidden in Calabasas. From his knowledge, the village was full of wealthy and talented shinobi. Many who pursed fame while others did so in ways that resulted in them being rogue ninja.

In your case, you were the latter. You did however establish your power and influence with the power of your large family as an underworld celebrity.

“Can you please turn off the cameras? It’s making me uncomfortable, hm,” Deidara said as he did his best to hide his face from the camera that was zooming in on his left.

“Just pretend they’re not here! You’ll get used to it!” You say happily. You then turned to walk away. At least half of the room got a view of your generous backside.

Hidan couldn’t hide his grin as he turned to his partner. “DAMN! Did you see that ass?!” Kakuzu turned to his partner and nodded quietly. “Yes…”

Deidara:

Deidara was annoyed how he was assigned on a mission with you. He watched with an unimpressed expression as you sat in the confessional booth while your camera crew filmed you.

“Today Dei Dei and I are going out to capture the 3 Tails Jinchuriki! It’s my first mission ever! It’s gonna be a really fun experience for me as an Akatsuki~” you say as you bat your eyelashes.

Deidara looked at you in disgust. Did you just call him Dei Dei?! You just met and you were already giving him pet names like you were celebrity BFFs.

He couldn’t help but blush a bit. He rolled his eyes as you stood up from the booth. “Are you done yet?”

You turn to your camera crew. “Ooh! Get some shots of Dei Dei!” The camera crew then points their gear at Deidara.

He widened his eyes. “I don’t need to be on camera, HM!” He pushes the camera out of his face.

You pose with your ass out. “Quick get my good side~”

Deidara had lost his patience. His face turned red as he glare at you. “STOP POSING FOR THE CAMERAS AND START FOCUSING ON THE MISSION!”

“NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOUR FAKE BUTT!”

You glare at Deidara and slapped him across the face. Deidara looked at you incredulously as he held his cheek where you slapped him.

He glared at the camera that zoomed in on him. “Did she just slap me?!”

Deidara watched as you sat in the confessional booth once again. He was shocked at how you produced tears in mere seconds.

“Deidara hurt my feelings and called my butt fake! He is a fake friend!” You cried. Deidara growled in frustration. “WE ARE NOT FRIENDS!”

The camera crew then surrounded Deidara who was a deer in the headlights once more. “Get those cameras out of my fucking face!”

He dug I’m his pouch and pulled out his bombs.

“HM!”

After the incident, the two of you went and captured the three tails. You flew with Deidara on his clay bird as you spoke.

“The way you fight…so that’s your Kekkei Genkai?” You asked. Deidara nodded. “My art is transient beauty at its finest! My art is an explosion!”

You smiled. “I feel the same way about my art too!” Deidara furrowed a brow. “Just what do you about art, hm?”

You pull out your beauty makeup palette. “Let me show you!”

“You have beautiful eyes Dei Dei so you won’t be needing any eyeliner…”

“…Now we gotta highlight your cheeks and then contour…”

“…and voila!”

You had finished doing Deidara’s makeup. You presented him with a hand mirror. He gasped in amazement.

His eyelids were painted blue which complimented his eyes. He also had on some false lashes, some blush and highlights along with a bold red lip.

“Wow…” he said as he touched his cheek. You smiled happily. Words couldn’t describe how amazed Deidara felt.

“So…this…this is true art…hm….”

Deidara couldn’t tear his gaze from his reflection. He had to learn more about this form of art…

Hidan:

You sat in the confessional booth in an expensive religious robe and a bedazzled Jashinist necklace.

“Today Hidan is going to introduce me to Jashinism. I get the feeling that becoming religious is going to look so good in front of the fans after my scandals throughout the years~” you say sweetly to the camera.

After you spoke to the camera, you met up with Hidan who seated you on his lap. As he spoke to you, he took the moment to cop a feel of your ass. You didn’t mind though, he was really cute.

“I see. Where are the other Jashinists. Do you know where they are? I’d love to learn from them too!” You say.

Hidan smiled sheepishly as he scratched the back of his head. “Yeah…that’s the thing babe…I don’t really have many followers who are willing to convert…”

You smiled. “Followers? I have millions of those! If you need more followers you need to establish your influence first, Hidan.”

That night, Kakuzu carried a young woman that wore a silver wig and a Jashin cropped tee. “You can’t do this to me! Hidan is my distant cousin from the Hidden Steam! I’m famous!” The woman cried.

“No groupies!” Kakuzu barked before hurling the woman towards a tree. The woman groaned as Kakuzu walked away to go count the money that he had stolen from the woman.

As Hidan’s head security, the Jashinism cult parties were becoming very profitable!

You partied with Hidan that night. Hidan sat in his throne clad in a designer ‘Vertachi’ robe and a solid gold Jashinist necklace. In his hand was his newly designed platinum steel scythe.

You sat on his lap and he grinned with his golden teeth, showing off his new grill. On one of his front teeth, he had a bedazzled Jashinist emblem in it.

He laughed triumphantly as his many followers/partygoers brought him more sacrifices.

Hidan later sat in the confessional booth that evening.

“You see this shit? I got followers begging to convert to Jashinism! I’m the king of this bitch! Look at this shit!” He says as he gestures to his necklace.

“What do you plan to do next, Hidan?” The producer asked. Hidan smiled. “First I’m gonna sacrifice the camera crew to my lord. And then I’m going to make Y/N my new bitch!”

The cameraman widened his eyes. “Wait what?!”

Hidan snickered as he pulled out his scythe. “Hold still you non believer!”

He got up and approached the panicking cameraman. “Hey! Wait a second!”

Itachi and Kisame were in the kitchen that morning chatting about. That was when you strutted into the kitchen and posed for them.

“How did I look?” You say as you struck a sexy pose.

Kisame widened his eyes while Itachi looked at you incredulously.

Your skin was painted blue in the exact same shade as Kisame skin. You also had dark lines of makeup under your eyes that resembled gills and your hair was dyed dark blue.

You were clad in a black bikini top with an Uchiha clan symbol on the left breast along with a tight mini skirt that also had the symbol.

Kisame blinked. “Why did you paint your skin to look like me?” You wave him off. “Oh c’mon don’t be like that! It’s not like it’s cultural appropriation or anything!”

You smiled. “I’m promoting my new swim suit line: SharkSKIMS!” Kisame raised an eyebrow. “…SharkSKIMS?”

You nodded. “Yeah! I was really inspired by your look! I just had to make this brand!” “…You don’t think that I’m a freak of nature?” Kisame asked incredulously.

You giggled. “Are you kidding? Blue is so trending! And besides! You’re perfect the way you are, Kisame~”

Kisame’s cheeks flushed a light purple. He was in awe at your words and was flattered that his look inspired you. He was eager to learn about SharkSKIMS.

“Why do you have the Uchiha Clan symbol on your clothes?” Itachi asked. “Well that’s because I am an Uchiha! I married into the Uchiha Clan you know,” you say.

Itachi shook his head. “Impossible…” You glare at him. “No it’s not! One of my 3 ex husbands was an Uchiha and you killed him Itachi! It was your fault!”

Itachi blinked at your words as the feeling of guilt filled his mind. Did he really kill your ex husband?

“And since I’ve kept the name, I, Y/N L/N-Uchiha will create a clothing brand in the name of my clan!” You sang.

Itachi glared at you. “You can’t just make a profit by capitalizing on the Uchiha name!” You place your hands on your hips. “I can and I will! You’re my husband Itachi, you’re supposed to support me!”

Itachi looked at you like you were crazy. He was slowly starting to lose his cool. “We-we’re not married!” You nodded. “Yes we are! It’s in the contract!”

Itachi’s red eyes glowed in anger. “I didn’t sign a contract!” “Yes you did! Pein signed the agreement which means the entire organization by default has to agree to my conditions!” You say.

“I don’t care! You can’t just say we’re married and use the Uchiha Clan nans like that!” Itachi snapped. “Fine! Then I will see YOU in court, Itachi!” You say as you pointed at him.

You then turned to your camera crew as you smiled. “Did you get all that?” The camera crew nodded and smiled excitedly.

Itachi stared at you in disbelief as Kisame erupted with booming laughter at your display.

“This episode of Keeping Up with the Akatsuki is sponsored by Sharingan Contacts! Here’s to Tsukuyomi Vision!” You say happily as you pull out some Sharingan themed contacts.

Itachi couldn’t believe his eyes. Did you really turn his genjutsu into fashion statement?!

He was instantly caught off guard when you sat your fat ass on his lap, wrapping your arms around his neck before pecking his cheek.

Itachi was now completely mortified as the camera zoomed in on his shocked face. Kisame on the other hand was laughing so hard that tears bursted out of his eyes.

Kisame and Itachi watched you on the TV later that week. You were sobbing in the confessional booth.

“Itachi and I are having a divorce! He HURT me!” You cried. The camera then cut to Hidan who was being interviewed.

“Itachi did WHAT?! That bastard is fucking ungrateful! That bitch Y/N just made him famous!”

Itachi just shook his head as stared at the TV disapprovingly. He didn’t even know why he was watching the show in the first place.

Kisame grinned at Itachi. “Now how could you break Y/N’s heart?” Itachi glared at him. “Don’t encourage this…”

In a second later, a swarm of paparazzi bursted into the room as they flashed their cameras at both Itachi and Kisame.

“What the hell?!” Kisame exclaimed. “Itachi! Are you and Y/N L/N-Uchiha having a divorce?!” A paparazzo asked.

Itachi stood up and glared at the paparazzi who pointed the mic in his face. “She’s not even a real Uchiha!”

Itachi found himself shocked at how he was easily giving into the paparazzi. “Will you appear on Konoha Divorce Court?” Another paparazzo asked.

Itachi deadpanned. “No comment…” he then turned to walk away as the paparazzi followed and demanded more answers as they called his name.

Kisame just laughed. Your addition to the Akatsuki had made things so much more interesting.

“My, my, you truly are a work of art…” Sasori said as his sensual porcelain fingers went up and down your figure.

Hidan became an underworld celebrity and had 1.3 million followers (and counting) who were devoted to Jashinism. They brought him enough kills to satisfy their lord.

With his new power and influence, Hidan decided that he didn’t need the Akatsuki anymore.

Kisame was no longer insecure about his appearance. He was your top model for your SharkSKIMS. He traded his Akatsuki robe for a speedo. He was quite popular with the ladies too!

Itachi gave in and “remarried” you. He thought after all the suffering he has caused his brother, that marrying you would be his perfect punishment. You happily paraded Itachi like a trophy. He made headlines as your depressed celebrity husband.

Kakuzu became your full time body guard killing your stalkers for pay. He made triple than what bounty hunting had made him.

The Akatsuki was no more…

Pein sighed. At least he still had Konan who would remain loyal to him.

As of on cue, Konan walked by. Pein widened his eyes at the sight of her.

Konan appeared at least 10 years younger! She had her hair down with some 30 inch extensions that reached her feet, she also had a face lift, a nose job, a breast enlargement, and a liposuction on her waist.

She was clad in a tight black strapless and cocktail dress that revealed her hip slit and had a full face of makeup as well as Sharingan contacts. She no longer wore her piercings.

“…Konan…?” Pein blinked. Konan smirked at him, pleased that he had gotten him to notice her. “I’m going out tonight with Y/N,” she said.

“…To where?” Pein asked as his eyes scanned her figure. “Deidara’s launch party. He just released a new line of beauty products,” she said with a smile.

She turned on her heel to walk away. “Keep a watch on things here will you?” Pein widened his eyes. “Konan, we need to-“

Pein stopped and nearly choked mid sentence as he watched Konan walk. His rinnegan eyes fell to her voluptuous and generous backside that jiggled in her dress.

Konan’s butt had gotten bigger. The view it’s movements were very tantalizing. There was no way it was real! But if there’s one thing thst Pein knew…

Fuyune Sazanka

The Sazanka Clan is mostly known for their Crystal Release, but their most legendary shinobi from the Warring States Era had the only naturally occurring kekkei tōta - Winter Release. (Also worth noting that it is widely believed that the Sazanka Clan is not a descendant of the Sage of Six Paths but of a malevolent entity called Jashin, which resulted in them being viewed as barbarians during the Warring States Era.)

Fuyune Sazanka is the only other person who was born from the clan who had Winter Release after the death of Shimon the Soothsayer by the hands of the Second Tsuchikage, Mu.

Just a three year old during the end of the Third Shinobi War, Fuyune witnessed the death of her pregnant mother in the hands of Hidden Cloud due to territorial disputes between the Land of Lightning and the Land of Frost.

The prodigy heiress of the Sazanka, she was 9 when she entered the Chuunin Exams held at the Leaf Village. It was the first time her power was truly exposed to the greater public. Her fight with Itachi Uchiha was the final round of the Chuunin Exams, where she lost. It was then she met Itachi's younger brother, Sasuke, who she surmised would've been the same age as the sibling her mother was carrying, causing her to have some resentment against him, as he had everything she lost. However, it was not the last time they would meet as her father signed a secret treaty with Fugaku Uchiha, which led to joint operations with one of the founding clans of the Leaf Village.

A few years down the line, Hanzo the Salamander's adoptive son - Nagato - had begun calling for a joint operations team towards the minor villages, in hopes of having an alliance, asking for one jounin level shinobi from each village. Hidden Frost is such an example of one that received an invitation, and Fuyune was sent to be the representative to the formation of this joint military force - the Akatsuki.

Shizuka Hansei

It is a widely an open secret that the Hansei Clan was descended from a branch family of the Hyuuga, which accounts for their strange ocular power that can see in infrared light. It was not a secret, however, that the Hansei resent the Hyuuga for countless generations that Goro Hansei, the clan head during the formation of villages, refused to join the Leaf because the Hyuuga are there and proceeded to become one of the founding fathers of the Haze Village, alongside their allies.

As the Hansei Clan beliefs go, being a shinobi alone would not be enough to get by, Goro Hansei gambled investments in various things to a point where the Hansei became the richest shinobi clan in the world and the Haze Village being the most technologically advanced, that they have never been invaded by others.

As the direct descendant of Goro and heiress of the Hansei, Shizuka has been noted to be of very similar personality. Her constant seeking of business ideas and opportunities, investments, and ways to profit starting at a young age often take people aback. Her hatred for the Hyuuga isn't because of the old generation's resentment, but because her parents were killed by the Hyuuga during the Third Shinobi War. As the Akatsuki was formed, she knew that not only Rain sought her clan to handle some of the finances, but that the bigger villages will force their way in. She threatened Hanzo that she would stop the funding if the Leaf sent a Hyuuga when this happens.

Due to her accidental exposure to the strange purple meteorite Goro Hansei kept hidden in the basement of the clan manor, Shizuka became physically weak. However, her chakra became more potent. Due to this, she specializes mostly in sealing techniques and genjutsu, along with her clan's kekkei genkai, radiation release. She had sought the Shikkotsu Forest, and is able to perform sage techniques.

Omg, this is probably my first genuine ask that is not related to ask games, pretty excited right now, not gonna lie. ;-; Before I answer, I'd like to thank you for dropping an ask and for the interest, this means so so much to me. ♥ While my biggest obsession has been Attack On Titan for years now, my favourite OC is Myline, my Naruto fan character. Here is her reference sheet, I commissioned Xcaeli for this one:

Visually speaking, she has a pretty simple design with some Uchiha blood in her, nothing really impressive about her, just another character with black hair that shares blood with the Uchiha clan, but for me she is perfect!

This girl was also the first OC I ever created, I have had her for 17 years, which is crazy! Her design changed only a bit as she has my favourite combo, aka black hair + red eyes, but her personality and story has changed several times over the years.

She is from my own fanmade village, which I called Yamigakure, an independent village that is now part of Ame No Kuni (fan name people use for the country of rain) after years of war and colonization attempts. She is the result of an affair between Yashiro Uchiha (who was among the ninjas that Konoha sent to Yamigakure to help protect the village from the invaders, a last resort mission that Yamigakure paid for) and her mother, Yabuza Mizuno, so she is fruit of a betrayal.

She loses her family to the war and is rescued by old Madara, who knew about Yashiro's affair and decided she'd probably be helpful for his future plans, later on he also rescues Obito and asks him to keep her alive once he is gone for their own future benefit. She is Obito's disciple.

She is an Akatsuki member, which makes her a villain, however, her character is full of nuances and has valid reasons for her goals in my opinion. She is a grumpy introvert and her lack of social skills mostly come from the negligence she suffered during her childhood and youth, while she looks very intimidating to strangers, she cares a lot and is extremely loyal to the few she loves and literally lives for them, sometimes she feels like she is no one, like she is just a shadow of Obito.

She is an extremely avid reader, books and ninja history are her passion and she is known for stealing books during her missions. As someone who was raised in poverty, inequality and oppression were not strangers to her, such life experiences made her respect the poor and the oppressed, especially the ones that can't do much about it, such as kids and the eldery. Whenever she can, she is seen helping people around Amegakure, not only with groceries but also with books as she believes that everyone should read more, so she likes to encourage people to do so, she is also often seen teaching children how to read and write as most parents can't afford education. And omg, I just realized I talked too much already, I didn't even realize it, I'm so sorry for the long answer!

Although you tell me to stop checking Boruto for Sakura, I don't agree with your statement because each passing month I check if she's included only to realize that she's still neglected and ignored. It's normal that I feel like this because all we see recently is the main characters needing medical attention but we never get to see that medical attention or Sakura, like the most recent chapter with Konohamaru telling Boruto to go to the hospital. I really hoped I was gonna see her do something, at least show her head around. But nah it was terrible.

She might be a side character now, but she's the most side character or side characters, she's irrelevant!! A stark contrast with her self in novels she's not a protagonist of. Even Shikamaru Hiden gave her a more prominent role than what Boruto is doing and she's the only healer around.

How's Sakura not trusted when she's the most proficient plant and herb scientist in the village? She made an antidote for Sasori but she can't make a drug for Boruto's eye? How's Shikamaru trusting the guy that put a collar on his son's neck? Why is Naruto trusting him even? Why not trust Sakura, why not putting Sakura to use? Ino and Sai have been given good jobs but how is it possible that Ikemoto can't find anything for Sakura? He doesn't have to think too much she's been a medic since shippuden.

I don't understand how removing her from the political influence is a baseless statement. She used to go to Gokage meetings for goodness sake, who is she now? Is she even in Konoha? She was there as a teen when the Akatsuki with Tsunade, participating in the Itachi pursuit planning, etc. She doesn't even support Naruto anymore, she doesn't support anybody she needs the support now with her friends saying her husband abandons her. It's sickening to be very honest.

A convenient healer is all she is now and not anymore recently. In 2019 the Boruto Ninja Directory described her as "a housewife that works in the medical frontline" that's the biggest downgrade in history. From being the best medical-nin to a housewife that works in the medical frontline? What frontline? Medical care is neglected. Where are all those titles from the anime? Head of the Medical Department, director of the hospital, teacher and the leader doctor. I have the feeling she's jobless not gonna lie.

Sakura has been sidelined and Ibiki/Ino have been more prominent not only in this plot, but since Amado debuted. When Amado put a collar on Shikadai? Ino. When Isshiki went to Naruto's house? Ino. When Isshiki invaded? Ino. When Konoha needed to evacuate? Ino. When Delta debuted? Ino. When Kawaki escaped? Ino. When Code invaded? Ino. In Momoshiki's memories? Ino. And Ibiki is next to Sai all the time so that's more screentime. From the beginning Sakura has been sidelined.

Isn't she the most intelligent after Shikamaru? I can think of perfect writings for her just like Ikemoto and Kodachi inserted Ino in the Barrier Team. Lack of creativity Sakura is so versatile in intelligence, fight and medicine they have three specialties to choose from and none is brought up. Betcha Sakura will never summon Katsuyu when Konoha is destroyed.

My comment wasn't something you should "agree" with or not, it was advice. So I'll repeat what I said before - If you're following Boruto solely for Sakura, then you're following it for completely the wrong reasons, and I'd advise you to stop because I don't even see what the point of continuing is if you're not even interested in the actual story. You instead just want to see if a side character will show up, and will seemingly always be disappointed and frustrated when she doesn't. So I don't see the point in continuing to anger yourself.

I'll tell you how it's a baseless statement - Because Sakura was not shown or even remotely implied to have lost any of her status within the village. Her not being featured in the arc, is not the same thing as her losing all relevance that she has in the village, and I really wish that people would stop jumping to these absurd conclusions. Just call it like it is - Sakura being featured a disappointingly low number of times in the arc. That's what this is, there are no other underlying implications of what her absence means. You mention the things she used to do back in the main manga, as if she's still a main character.

Look, I've already told you that while I share your disappointment in Sakura not being as involved in the plot as I'd want her to be, her perpetual involvement is not a requirement for my enjoyment of the series. Ultimately, I'm enjoying Boruto while you're not, and there's no point in trying to change your view if your entire view not only hinges on Sakura's involvement, but it's also already skewed to the point of you believing that Sakura is apparently now irrelevant, and that her friends tell her that Sasuke abandons her, there really is no point.
