❓ Do you prefer when people are familiar or unfamiliar with your source when they meet you?

Wow, I've never thought about that! I think I would prefer unfamiliar in most cases, particularly those where I differ a lot from canon (Kaptein Sabeltann, Rick Sanchez) - though in the cases where I am close to canon (Mune, the Grinch, Gimli), I think familiar would also be nice... but it really does depend on what perception the person has of my source, too. So I'll go for unfamiliar.

Kaptein Sabeltann: the absolute amazing work of Kyrre, the guy who plays me (god I wish I were him)

Rick and Morty: the fact that any timeline you've experienced is canon in the show due to the multiverse

The Grinch (2018): heartwarming moments and good representation of panic attacks

Mune, Guardian of the Moon: the stunning visuals and gorgeous soundtrack. got me feeling at home immediately

Lord of the Rings: the constant message of love and kindness and that goodness will prevail

SPENDING CHRISTMAS WITH THE BOYS | F1 GRID

lando enjoys the holidays for many reasons, and one of the main ones is how happy you always are. you take everything involving christmas very serious and he tries to help you as much as he can, but it’s lando, he can’t help but go up to santa at the mall, asking for what he wants for christmas as if he’s five years old, embarrassing you so much you don’t think you will ever be showing your face again. lando is awful at wrapping presents, but you take your time teaching him between giggles and kisses that taste like hot cocoa. and after a very stressful but fun day of shopping and wrapping presents, you end your day cuddle up in front the fireplace with hot drinks and a christmas movie.

He noticed the shake in your voice IMMEDIATELY when you called

He's observant y'all

He 100% was concerned off the bat, he's a good boyfriend but a better killer

He pulled up to you sitting on the tire on top of the driveway and went to call you on your phone only to notice you halfway down the driveway before he could dig his phone out of his pocket

He was also keenly aware of your hair being down, something you rarely did

His automatic instinct was to brush it out of your face, so he did

He noticed how you shrinked away

Then he noticed the ugly bruise forming around your eye and on the side of your face.

"Luv? What happened?"

His voice was angry, but not at you.

You gave a little shrug and tucked into yourself

"Can we just... leave..?"

He couldn't remember the last time you sounded this small, so he did what you asked.

He kept his hand on your leg, rubbing little circles on your skin as he drove, but not home you noticed.

He kept glancing at you from the side of his eye and smiled as he saw your eyes light up as he pulled into the parkway of your favorite food place.

He was still angry as he watched you drink the milkshake you ordered, but was a bit more calm as you played with the kids menu

Something you did whenever you were anxious, so he asked the waitress for one who looked concerned for you and he gave her a little look that made her heart shatter as you started to anxiously babble to fill the sudden silence.

So he reached over and grabbed you're hand

Darling, you're fine, you're not going back there. I promise."

He was already on his way ass soon as your caller ID (which was something like "Tatertot" or some weird Soap shit) popped up on his work phone

He answered as he drove.

"Johnny..? Can you come get me..? I-I got into a fight and need to be picked up at my parents..."

He heard your voice break and someone yell something in the background making your voice waver as you stepped outside

He was there in twenty minutes...

out of an hour drive

You didn't really hesitate as you rushed down the driveway and into his passenger seat and slammed the door.

You watched the wildlife speed by, zoning out, when he asked

"Yer dad give you those?"

You were confused at first before pulling your sleeves down farther and stayed quiet

Which was all he needed to get mad and grip the steering wheel

You knew you were safe, but his anger scared you

So your breathing picked up and he gently put his hand on your arm.

"Yer okay Bonnie, I'm not gonna hurt you. Him? Absolutely. You? Never."

Dad instincts when you called him

He hadn't really heard your voice like that since you thought you were going to die on the field

He picked up your favorite foods and a new blanket, hoodie, and stuffie

He walked up to the house door and stood like a harbringer of death as you answered the door.

He delicately pulled you out and tucked you behind him

He had that look in his eyes he only had when he was livid

You gently touched his arm and he got you to his car, lingering beside you as he gently kissed your head.

"I got ya sweetheart, just stay in the truck..."

He said as he buckled you up and tucked the blanket around you with your snacks and drinks before going back into the house

John came back out and calmly got in the truck and kissed your hand before giving it a gentle squeeze

Your mother's voice rattled off the inside of your skull making you look away as a bag was tossed at your feet and you reached down to get it only for Valeria to pick it up before you could reach it.

There was a dangerous gleam in Valeria's eyes as she helped you from the chair and noticed how you stood funny, all your weight on one foot as you leaned against her.

She helped you towards the door and gave your mother one last nasty look before leaving, she got you in the backseat and sat with you. Digging through the medkit in the back of the car and delicately cleaned your split lip as she gazed at you with such soft eyes.

And now you were here, fast asleep in his car as he drove. His eyes floating over to your sleeping form every now and then when your dog whined.

the first thing he did, after getting you home, was take your dog to the vet to get her checked out

She was okay, just a bit bruised and had a tooth taken out

Konig took good care of her on the ride home, even ordered a pup cup (through the app, because he was to anxious to go through the drive through) from starbucks and sat in the parking lot holding the cup and feeding her dog treats.

He took good care of both of you the following morning and made sure you were patched up when he woke you up

He would've done it the night before, but he knew where your priorities were

He made sure the volume was up loud enough you couldn't hear the screaming outside the truck as he stood there listening to it all before reeling back and knocking the mother fucker to the ground

He got back in the truck to see you dozing off, he smiled sweetly and raised your hand gently and pressed a kiss above the burn marks

He drove carefully and made sure to avoid the potholes as he saw them and glanced at you every now and then to make sure you were still sleeping well

He slept in his driveway that night, he didn't want to move you or leave you alone

So he slept out there with you

He took out for breakfast the next day, through the driveway of course

You pulled the hood over your head and pulled the string shut, fully engulfing yourself in his smell, which put you to sleep

You were passed out by the time Keegan got back in the truck, he smiled softly and carefully backed out of the driveway and headed towards his home

The kids are convinced that they hear the bells on Santa’s sleigh, and Jenson is the exact same way. 

"Alright, that was the second story," you peek into the bedroom, finding Jenson sitting between your two sons' beds, the book on his lap. "It's past your bedtime and I know your daddy doesn't have the heart to tell you that it's bedtime, but it is."

"Awh please mama!" Your youngest, James, begs. "Please! Just one more!"

You sit on the edge of his bed, patting his leg as Jenson put the book away. "I'm sorry bubba, but you know the rules. "If you don't go to bed, Santa won't know to stop and drop off your gifts."

Alex, your oldest, giggles. "But mama, Santa knows."

"Yeah?" You asked, glancing at your husband. "Who says so?"

"Don't you hear it?" He asks, sitting up in his bed. "Listen! You can hear his sleigh."

Your brows furrow, glancing at your husband for backup on getting them to go to bed. Jenson being the big kid he was, was no help. "That's probably the tv, buddy. I forgot to turn it off."

James sits up, his blue eyes wide with excitement. "I hear it too, mama!"

You look over at Jenson in a last ditch attempt for some back up, hoping to get them to go to bed but Jenson's ears perk up like a puppy hearing the treat bag shake. "I heard it too."

The two boys are out of their beds, running to their dad as he pulls the curtains back.

The 3 button boys looking out the window in all directions trying to find Santa.

You sigh, letting them have their moment before ushering them back to bed. "Bedtime for all of you," you tell them, kissing James on the forehead and then doing the same to Alex. "I'll see you two in the morning, I love you."

A chorus of I love yous follows before I turn the lights off and shut the door.

You find your husband in bed, it seems he too took the bedtime signal and hopped into bed. You switched off the light, crawling into bed with him. Jenson wraps his arms around you, pulling you flush against him.

His head on your chest, his week old stubble scratching at your skin.

"You're like a big kid," you whisper, brushing his hair back. He chuckles, you can feel him smiling. "How?"

"No way you heard Santa's sleigh too."

He smiles again. "I did too. You've just got to believe in the magic of Christmas and not be such a grinch."

"Remind me again who was up until 3 last night wrapping gifts and who was drooling on the pillow?" You looked down at him, Jenson chuckles.

Matildas x (platonic) reader- movie night

it was the 4th of November so it was basically Christmas in the young Matilda's book and somehow you had convinced the rest of the Matilda's team to have a movie day after their win against Chinese tei pei on Wednesday. The Matilda's obviously said yes and we're now all squished together on bean bags and the couches tryna get comfy for the probably thousands of movies that they were gonna watch. You were sharing a bean bag with Kyra who had her arm around your shoulders. Christmas was your favourite holiday and it was close-ish to Christmas so they decided a Christmas movie would be fine.

We started off strong with the animated and live action grinch but ran into a problem when , Kyra Sam and macca got into a fight over which one was better. You and Kyra said the new while macca and Sam said old

"The new one's better!" You and Kyra shouted

"No the old one is, it's the og" Sam said

"Just coz it's the og doesn't mean it's better!" You said and a few people around watching the arguement nodded while Alanna filmed the interaction

"the new goosebumps series is better than the original" you said and macca and Sam looked confused

Once they had finished the 7 episodes that had been released and everyone complained about the cliff hanger macca said they should watch a horror movie.

Macca got up and tried to get the remote from you but you put up a good fight but nether the less got it ripped from your grip.

"No I don't want to." You said getting as you realised something "I don't have to be here! I can leave if I want!" You said and began walking to the door before Alanna, macca, sam and Caitlin stopped you

"Nuh uh" Caitlin said blocking the door

"Your watching it" alanna continued as if they were reading minds

"Because if you do we'll admit the cartoon grinch is better" Sam smirked and madi shook her head

You, Kyra and Charli had been working together to try watch them films with the girls for ages and had been unsuccessful till this moment. "Pinky promise! And Kyra and Charli are coming!" You exclaimed as you walked up to all of them and tried to get your small pinky around all of their pinkies which made the rest of them laugh as you stuck the tip of your tongue out of your mouth in concentration. In the end you guys succeeded and cheered in success then you went back to Kyra as they picked the movie.

Macca and Sam ended up choosing the nun which made you glad you were atheist otherwise she would've never wanted to step foot in a church again because then nuns gave you literal nightmares. Throughout the movie you kept glancing behind you just to check nothing had climbed the balcony and was going to try and kill you. Whenever there were jump scares your face would immediately hide in either Kyra's shoulder or shirt as the older girl would rub your back for comfort.

When the movie was over and everyone began getting up to head to bed you clung to someone at all times and were constantly checking your surroundings to make sure no one was going to jump out and try kill you or your team mates (though you could live without macca, Caitlin, Alanna and Sam since it was their fault you watched this in the first place). Everyone was walking back to their rooms while you were clinging to Steph and making sure to keep in the middle of the group.

"Ok maybe it was a bad idea to watch a horror movie with y/n/n" macca said scratching the back of her neck while Sam, Alanna and Caitlin agreed.

"Safe to say she's not a horror movie gal" Alanna said and everyone laughed as you ignored their comments and were focused on making sure there was nothing out of the ordinary coming to get you.

"I'm just glad I'm not rooming with her" Sam said turning to Caitlin as she walked the opposite direction to her room while Steph walked with you and Caitlin back to their room considering you wouldn't let go of her and Steph wanted to make sure you were okay before heading off to bed herself.

"You kay y/n/n?" Steph asked as Caitlin unlocked their room and walked in with you and Steph in tow.

"I feel like and old lady is gonna jump out and kill me with her holy spirits" you said shaking slightly while Steph and Cait stifled a laugh at her choice of words

"You gonna be okay tonight?" Steph asked getting more concerned the more she looked at the paranoid teen.

"Yeah. Does garlic work for nuns do you think?" She asked no one in particular.

"Y/n/n nothings coming for you and if they try I'll protect you okay. I'm here if you need me during the night I'll stay up all night if I need to 1. Because it was partly my fault you watched the movie and 2. We don't have training so it wouldn't affect much. You're gonna be fine" Caitlin assured and Steph nodded her head along. You nodded aswell and went to hug Steph goodnight, Steph hugged you back and kissed your head before leaving the room. Caitlin patted her bed, next to where she was currently sitting and motioned for you to come sit next to her. You smiled and ran and jumped into her waiting arms and once she noticed you were comfortable she turned on the tv and found Marley and me which shocked you as you looked at Caitlin confused.

"Well I did pinky promise" she stated smiling down at you which made you break out into a grin and snuggle closer into her side "annndd" she added dramatically which made you look up at her "because I thought it would help you sleep better" she finished with a smile and pulled you closer to her to the point you were practically on top of her. This was one of the times that reminded you no matter how much some of the girls teased and made fun of you they cared about you more than they let on.

Halfway through the movie you had fallen asleep on Caitlin which was understandable considering it was past midnight while Caitlin finished the movie and actually enjoyed it though she wouldn't admit it to you she will definitely watch it with you again and you wouldn't have to bargain as hard for it. Caitlin turned the lights off, shuffled you onto the pillow beside her before moving herself to her pillow, turning the tv off after she finished all of that as she was using it for a bit of light and went to bed herself after kissing your forehead and whispering goodnight eventhough she know you couldn't hear her.

Soap: Watched someone drag a whole ass goat around Walmart and just kind of stared the whole time while occasionally whispering "what the fuck"

Rodolfo: Got in an argument with someone over a fucking cart. He told them six fucking times that they could just take the damn cart and go and they still wanted to argue and Alejandro had to hold him back from fighting them. Alejandro was half tempted to let him go several times

Alejandro: Prefers local grocery stores but did beat the shit out of someone who was trying to harass a teenage girl, ended up breaking his hand with how hard he was punching them

Price: Some crazy asshole dumped an entire 2 liter of Sprite on his head and Gaz had to tackle him to keep him from shooting them. He doesn't even open carry and refuses to explain where the gun came from

Gaz: Watched some crazy asshole dump sprite on Price and then had to tackle him so he wouldn't commit murder in the middle of Walmart

Graves: Dudeee, this man has so many. He cannot go to Walmart without something fucking wild happening

Alex: Saw an active pet play situation happening and had to take a moment to process what the fuck he just saw
