The two of you stood in a beautiful artificial garden inside a studio, with flowers blooming all around, the fresh scent tickled your noses. He held you close to him and you embraced each other, as you looked into the camera with smiles that seemed genuine enough to the public. You two somehow looked like a sick ‘in love’ couple.

Leona could help but think of the experience as excruciating. As the photoshoot progressed and he spent more time in front of the camera surrounded by the opulence and pageantry of the engagement studio, he found himself growing increasingly annoyed and uncomfortable.

That set him off and his ears subtly flickered. He could have sworn he would have snarled if he did not know any better. Since he wanted to get this torture over with, Leona set his jaw and placed his hands on your hips. He felt the heat of your body radiate through.

Leona's jaw tightened as you grabbed hold of his tie and pulled him into a faux kiss. But something about the gesture that caused his brain to short circuit again. The contact was fleeting but powerful. 

The warmth of your lips lingered on his for a moment before you pulled back. The photographer was ecstatic and couldn't stop clicking away. Your touch caused Leona to take a deep inhale and he closed his eyes for a second. He had been shaken by the contact and he was not sure exactly why. His grip on your hips tightened.

The camera man himself was clicking with glee. He was taking photos from every angle he could think of, including overhead. He even told the two of you to kiss again from different angles. Leona and you were forced to pantomime an entire love-filled scene as the photographer continued with his photoshoot, capturing images in a variety of poses and settings.

Sooner, as if it was becoming too much, you escaped from Leona's tightening grasp with a small frown knitting on your forehead. Yes, you just made 'kissing' poses for a few minutes now and it was ridiculous.

The photographer crossed his arms and huffed. "I'll let you know that I'm very good at my job and I'm very good at what I do."

Click. Click. It seemed that the photographer was set on burning your retinas as another way to refute your words.

Your eyebrow raised at the photographer, finding the reaction of the man to your snide remark to be quite amusing to say the least. As the camera continued to shutter, a visible smirk was now painted on your features, which was a far cry from your normal disposition.

You turned back to Leona and proceeded to pose again, this time, with a dissipating smile on your lips. You spoke sternly once more, albeit merely a tease, "You better be."

Leona's gaze flitted between you and the photographer. He swallowed hard and tightened his grip on your hips. A soft shiver rolled down his spine when your eyes met, a soft flush suffused his face with warmth for a moment. It was like the temperature had spiked the second your lips brushed his own again.

The photographer snapped another photo and clicked, his gaze was sharp. You were slightly amused, but Leona was shaken for a reason he only had the answer to.

Leona's gaze landed back at the photographer, an edge to his tone as he demanded, "That's enough for now.”

The photographer finally stopped clicking and nodded at the couple. 

"Excellent! Perfect! Just lovely. I'll go get your photos for you by this evening." A few more minutes passed before the photographer eventually left. And with that, your private photoshoot and the morning were over.

You almost practically jumped on your feet when the exasperating shoot was finally over and about. Despite your now stiff muscles, you carried your weight on the porcelain floor of the studio with deliberate strides of your legs towards a table where your things were seated at.

After that, you graced Leona with one last glance and a small nod as if saying, 'I'll go first,' then merrily made your way to the exit of the venue, letting Leona’s staff deal with the mundane task for the photoshoot’s aftermath. When your head was washed off of the photoshoot, your work almost immediately shoved the thoughts out and took the driver's seat of your mind.

Leona's eyes remain on the people around for a moment longer before finally moving to follow you with his eyes. The man watched as you started to leave. He shakes his head a little, irritated. Then with a sigh, he followed your lead. He walked after you through the double doors, catching up with you and taking you by the arm to stop you.

"Hold on," he said as he turned you towards him. "What's the rush?”

A plain brown envelope—filled with work documents—almost dropped into the floor when your grasp on it loosened from the abrupt pull of your arm. You were on the cobblestone sidewalk of the building and was ready to scurry away.

You were in reverie, already thinking of a myriad of things you would do back at your office for the rest of the remaining afternoon hours, but it seemed to you that you would not be able to do much, now that your 'fiancé' looked keen on maybe... spending time with you.

"Because Mr., I still have pending work for the day. I did not expect our photoshoot would devour time like that." You checked the time on your wrist watch briefly then fixed your gaze once again at Leona. 

Your brows furrowed, not in frustration but rather curiosity, and spoke casually in a softer tone.

"Uhm... do you want to discuss more things about this? I'll opt out of my schedule for today. It seems I'm still behind regardless of whether I'll ditch you right now or not." Your lips curled into a friendly smile, but not overly done so, just the smile you use on strangers and acquaintances. 

Leona studied you carefully before a small grin adorned his lips. The man’s hand reaches up and brushes his fingers across your lips. The action caused his stomach to flutter and his ears flicker as if he just had a rush of adrenaline.

"You're already a few hours behind, what's a few more?" he said as he leaned in a little closer. You realized you were nearly nose to nose at this point.

Leona was headed for his car and got into the driver's seat. He watched as you climbed into the passenger's seat and fastened your seatbelt. You both stayed in silence for a few moments before Leona's gaze landed on your lips. He started the engine and pulled out of the parking space. He took a moment to clear his mind.

"Before I take you to my place," he said, his voice was laced with something almost sinister but just playful enough to be considered teasing. "I want you to do one more thing for me.”

You shot him a knowing look, your eyebrow arched as you placed your things at the backseat of the car. Soon, your eyes brazenly swooped Leona's figure behind the steering wheel. You tilted your head to the side with a come-hither expression mixed with amusement.

"Pray tell, Leona," you bit your lower lip, "Is it something I'd enjoy?”

“Oh, you will.” A devious smile spread across Leona's lips. "Just something to do with those kissable lips."

He glanced over at you and his expression became one of smolder. He took a deep breath and looked back to the road. His gaze moved back to you and settled on your lips again. His pulse quickened and his stomach was filled with butterflies from the anticipation that was practically electric.

"When I start to drive," he continued, his tone was low and almost a whisper. "Kiss me.”

Your expression went from a subtle smile into a full grin. "Wouldn't that be too much of a risk?" You chuckled, your body was fully turned towards the driver's seat. 

The car started to move slowly now and you ramped up your teasing. You could see Leona's jaw clenched and the way his fingers tightened their grasp on the steering wheel.

Hisoka: …We were living in completely different places, yet we both had special memories of the same flower. If flowers are going to be a part of our play, then I feel like… I want to share the stage with you.
