Hiii sorry to anyone who already saw this (I deleted it briefly) but I wanted to post a little something for Valentine's Day, so here's an old strollonso drabble I wrote a few months ago. Wasn't sure what to do with it so I figured I'd post it now 😇
Usually when Lance wakes up, it’s to the sight of Fernando tugging the curtains open. The sudden seep of light will make him groan and bury his face into the safety of the pillows—begging for five more minutes in bed—but Fernando always manages to coax him out. Sometimes, it’s with a warm hand pressed to his cheek and a cold glass of water to his lips. Other times, it’s with a gentle kiss against his forehead and even gentler fingers scratching his scalp. Whatever it is, Lance will instinctively lean in; trusting Fernando to only bring him pleasure. Today, however, the curtains are still firmly closed.
It's the first proper day of their winter break—no more racing, no more testing—just Fernando and Lance in a warm super-king on the coast of Spain. Of course, the one time that they have no alarms or responsibilities, Lance has finally managed to wake up early. He's hoarding most of the duvet on the his side of the bed, leaving Fernando uncovered, but seemingly unbothered. The generosity feels surreal coming from a man so infamously selfish.
Lance is sure the two of them were tangled together when they fell asleep, but he must have wriggled away in the heat of the night. The winters in Spain are nothing like the winters in Montreal, he's quickly learning. There's no snow brimming the windows—instead just a light breeze from where they're cracked open.
The only light is from the orange glow of sunrise forcing itself through the gaps in the curtains, but it's enough for Lance to make out the peaceful expression on Fernando's face. There’s no furrow of his brow or purse of his lips—his skin smoothed out by the contentment of sleep. It’s the first time Lance has ever caught him like this, but it makes him consider waking up early more often, just so he can have it again.
Fernando is so beautiful that Lance starts to think he might not be awake at all. Maybe he's been dreaming ever since he fell of his bike in February, and their relationship has been one long, perfect fantasy. If that's true, he hopes he never wakes up. It’s hard to imagine not being Fernando’s.
Absentmindedly, he reaches out to touch him, just to make sure he’s real. With a gentle, hardly their finger, Lance traces the creases at the corner of Fernando's eye; trying his hardest not to wake the resting man. He follows the trail—follows every line that shows where Fernando has been, until his fingertip rests on the corner of the Spaniard's lips, next to the lines that remember a thousand smiles. Smiles that Fernando gave to other people in a long life before Lance.
There's an ugly part of Lance that feels jealous. His skin stings when he things if anybody beneath Fernando but him. It’s a struggle to feel adequate to the experiences that Fernnado had before they met—championships, rivalries, an ex-wife. But Fernando could have anyone he wanted, and somehow, that anyone is Lance. There has to be some merit to that.
With Lance's fingers brushing the pink of Fernando's lips, the older man begins to stir; his lids peaking open. He's disgruntled at first, frown lines deepening, before spotting his boy gazing down at him. It makes the eyes that Lance loves soften; ink black pupils widening and concealing the hazel beneath.
"Mi angel,” Fernando mumbles, still sleepy; tenderly grabbing Lance's wrists. He brings both hands to his mouth, placing slow, soft kisses on each knuckle, one by one. He never loses eye contact with Lance, except to blink his tired eyes.
"Buenos días,” Lance says back, the words sounding awkward on his tongue. The pronunciation is off, and it doesn't suit his syrupy accent, but Fernando smiles either way with a chuckle under his breath.
"Salut," he responds, his French more impressive than Lance's Spanish. It makes Lance feel warm and seen, nuzzling his head into Fernando's neck and taking a deep breath of the expensive soap on his skin.
"Come here," Fernando says, gently grabbing Lance's waist to pull him closer, until one of his legs is strung over Fernando's hips and one arm is laying on Fernando's chest. The older man moves his chin to the top of Lance's head, trapping him in his prison of affection.
"I love you," Lance says quietly. "Love you so much."
He can't see Fernando's face like this, but he can feel the shift in his jaw when he smiles, and can imagine the deepness of the lines on his skin. Lines that Lance is making his own every time he makes Fernando's lips turn.
Lance's only hope is that they'll still be together when his own history starts to show on his face. That when he's Fernando's age, Fernando will still hold him like something precious.

Hiii Shanie! (is that what I should call you? 🤔) I'm the guest from ao3 that sent you that long ass comment 😆😅
Just wanted to start of by saying how extremely sweet it was of you to do this and also how much I appreciated you taking the time out not once but twice to write back! Tbh yes my dumbass did not realise what "noodle incident" meant till you explained it so thank you for that 😊 clearly I'm a bit new to all of this. 😅
Honestly I'm extremely late to the party. I discovered zowens only a little after they won their tag titles last year. I had no idea who they were before that. I took a break from wrestling for about 13 years and only got back into it by accident because of Sami, then Kevin, then zowens. I was switching channels and stubbled upon zowens who happened to be on screen at the time.
So I've had to go back and do a bit of digging and now and then I'll find something that everyone already knew about yearsss ago 🙄😂 and I'll get all excited over it, but everyone else has already been there done that 😂 (also absolutely no one I know likes wrestling or really even knows about it 😭)
I know I've missed out on a LOT with these two (their "glory days") 😭 and I get only glimpses of the past here and there, but I guess as they say better late than never 😁 So I'm enjoying your stories so so much. It's pretty incredible the way you write and the journey you take us on through it.
Ta
🐨
PS. the draft this week..zowens..😌
Hello again, nonnie!
Glad you could make it!
I was hoping to hear from you. This mess of business with AO3. Bleh. Hope they get it straightened out soon.
First off, don’t feel bad for not knowing what “noodle incident” meant. I don’t know if a ton of people do these days. TV Tropes as a website has sort of fallen into obscurity in the past decade or so and that’s where I got the term from. Looking it up, the definition on the site (found HERE) apparently comes from Calvin and Hobbes. Of note: The way I use the term isn’t exactly correct because I have explained the pneumonia incident a little, and will do so in upcoming writing more, but I use the term improperly anyway because it makes sense to me.
Regardless, stay tuned for more info about the pneumonia incident!  I will warn you though, the current story it’s being written into, “Never Say Goodbye”, is VERY dark. I’m probably going to have to up the rating on it. I use my writing as therapy and I’m going through some stuff right now, so this is how it is manifesting. Hope this doesn’t make you or anyone else hate me, but just know that writing it is helping me cope with my pain and getting me to a better place.
So yeah. Forgive me.
Second, don’t feel bad about just discovering Zowens in 2023. Some of the best people just discovered Zowens in 2023! I don’t know how much of last year you’ve managed to see but there is a fair amount of stuff just between summer of 2022 and fall of 2023 that is epic. If you haven’t gotten to explore it yet, I recommend starting HERE. It’s an episode of The KO Show from back in May of 2022 that planted the seeds of the entire Zowens storyline that would go on to them becoming tag champions. That said, as another video reference, that episode of the KO Show would actually be followed up on in August 2022 to properly start the storyline... in a post-show segment after Smackdown in Montreal. Finding video of that post-show segment can be difficult, but HERE is a fan video that has most of the encounter, minus the section that involved Matt Riddle (and the Zowens hug he spurs on)
Really though, if I had to offer some key highlights, just in WWE, I’d recommend the last ten minutes or so of NXT’s R-Evolution PPV, their match at Battleground 2016 (DEFINITELY Key viewing), The very end of Hell In A Cell 2017 (and the Zowens segment from the next episode of Smackdown), the 10/31/2020 episode of Talking Smack, The leadup and immediate aftermath of their WrestleMania 37 match, the clips I linked above from May and August 2022, Royal Rumble 2023 main event (OMG THAT), and most of all, the ENTIRTY of the 3/17/23 episode of Smackdown which, telling you now, as a Zowens shipper was like a friggin fever dream the night it happened. Cannot understate how that was some Joker Origin Story stuff that night, but the payoff was AMAZING.
All that said? Like Kevin said at WrestleMania 37. They met, at this point, almost 22 years ago, and the journey has been nuts. If you want a good, easy-to-absorb rundown of those 22 years or so, I highly recommend Mithen’s substack Ring the Bell. It has so much information that starts from the beginning and goes step by step along the path. They’re writing a book too! Keep an eye out for that.
Anyway, it’s great to see you here and if you need any more tips about how to dig further into the story, let me know. I know you said “Their glory days” but the truth is, in their own words, they’re “Destined to do this forever” and the glory days aren’t over yet. The story has been going on for over 2 decades but it hasn’t ended yet and I don’t believe it ever will. The Sami and Kevin show, and by extension, The Kevin Steen and El Generico show, will never end.
Over 20 years and counting.  Long live Zowens/Steenerico
Enjoy the ride.

hii!
how are you?
I saw you posts about the blue jays, and as someone trying to get into baseball, can you like maybe give me a rundown of how the league works and maybe an overview of the blue jays since thats the team Im probably gonna be rooting for? I'm trying to get into it but im completely new to the sport and im honestly a little overwhelmed.
p.s I love your blog!
-🦫
hiii! i'm decent!! i hope you are too :)
omg okay, i only got into baseball a couple of seasons ago, so i don't know like every tiny detail, but here's a little overview! i'm a little honoured you asked me kjnskdjnsda
i'm assuming you know more or less how a game of baseball is played, but if not lmk!
so. mlb first.
the teams are divided between east, central, and west. within each of those there is also the american league and the national league.
AL east: Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Tampa Bay Rays, Toronto Blue Jays
AL central: Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Guardians (formerly the Indians but pretty much only old people still call them that), Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals, Minnesota Twins
AL west: Houston Astros, LA Angels, Oakland Athletics, Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers
NL east: Atlanta Braves, Miami Marlins, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, Washington Nationals
NL central: Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, Milwaukee Brewers, Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals
NL west: Arizona Diamondbacks, Colorado Rockies, LA Dodgers, San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants
In the NL, pitchers used to have to bat as well as hit, whereas in the AL there was a designated hitter (DH) who was not in the field, but rather stayed on the bench until it was their turn in the lineup to bat (instead of the pitcher). This rule changed last season I believe, and pitchers are no longer required to bat in the NL, but they can still do so if they want (see Shohei Ohtani, an incredible pitcher and batter). Pretty sure that's the only major difference. The AL and NL distinction is used during the All Star Games where the best (objectively) players from across the league play a game: AL versus NL.
It used to be that teams played their division rivals more than other teams, but the MLB has a new schedule this year that is trying to make it so each team plays division rivals less and interleague teams more (e.g., instead of playing other AL east teams a million times, the Blue Jays will play more NL teams). This is to try and make things a bit more even in terms of who plays whom, and also will allow fans to hopefully see their favourite teams more regularly.
For baseball, unlike in, say hockey where there's just single games against teams at a time, MLB baseball has series, in which two teams play anywhere from 2-4 games back to back. There are winners and losers of each game, of course, but there's also the winner and loser of the series. Series that have 2 or 4 games can have a tie, though.
Like other professional sports, there is a final playoff stint for MLB. It happens in the fall. This site has a good rundown of the playoff format!
And here's a list of over 150 basbeall terms/phrases!
Onto the Blue Jays:
So, the jays are Canada's only MLB team and as a result they pretty much have an entire country backing them. They are very vocal and proud of this fact, and take pride in representing a whole country. So that's always nice!
There are some favourites on the team, especially on tumblr lol. These include:

Tol and built like a twig
Kevin Gausman
Starting pitcher

American
Rocks a lot before he pitches (at risk of balking)
Whit Merrifield
Second baseman or outfielder
Number 15
34 years old
American
Came to the Jays last year and was a little controversial bc of uhhh vaccine stuff but it's chill now (i think)
Kinda just a Dude
Kevin Kiermaier
Outfielder
Number 39
32 years old
Huge uproar when he was signed this off season because of a stolen data card that Kirk dropped (read about it here if you want)
But is doing well in spring training so far so he's slowly being forgiven by the fans
This is not every player at all. If there are any that I didn't put and you wanna ask about, go ahead! I just did not want this post to be fucking massive, and I feel bad for taking so long as it is.
But yeah, I hope this helped somewhat! Again, I am still kinda new to baseball myself and do not know everything, but I'm always happy to help teach others about the Jays :D

Hiii ive been offline for a while and seen you were doing blurbs yaay! You are my fav writer hands down. If it aint too late could i please request number 82 from the smut prompt list with 'montreal era rog omg my fav 😍
awww you're so sweet! Thanks for the request!
82: Exhibitionism
(there is also a lil tiny bit of spanking)
You hadn’t originally planned to join the band for most all of the tour, but Roger had practically begged you to come claiming he couldn’t survive the whole thing without you.  “The guys are wretches and they pick on me and I need a fun woman like you to spend time with.”  You laughed at his dramatics and agreed. Truth was you liked touring with them. You’d just assumed that Roger had grown up too much to need a groupie but apparently you were wrong. So you hopped on their flight and followed them to the other side of the world.
Tensions were high the night of the Montreal show though everyone was trying to play it cool since there were cameras around filming. You stayed out of the way during their rehearsal, knowing they’d need to concentrate and not wanting to be caught on tape too much. But you did watch them run through the show, testing their instruments and the lighting rig and whatever else they needed to prepare. A couple of hours before the show Roger disappeared to change and warm up but you knew he’d find you when he wanted you even if that wasn’t until after the show. Instead you found your way to the back of the stage. Peering out from behind a heavy black curtain you could see the team of roadies setting up and tuning the instruments and a little further away, the audience filing into their seats.
“Hey,” said a familiar rough voice from just behind your ear.   “I’ve been watching the crowd come in,” you half whispered, not wanting any of the men working just on the other side of the curtain to hear you, “This is going to be an amazing show.”  “Yeah I’ve got a good feeling about tonight,” Roger grabbed your hand and drew you further down the little corridor behind the curtain, deeper into the shadows, “Although you say that about every show.”  “It pays to be nice to you,” you giggled as Roger drew you over to where his timpani were waiting to be dragged out on stage.   He hummed, pulling aside the curtain so you could see the crowd for your new angle. But to do so he had to lean over you, his hips against your arse.   You pushed back a little, teasing, trying to figure out if he intended to have you before he went out on stage or not. You suspected he did or else he'd be in the change room with the others warming up, but you could never be one hundred percent certain with Roger.   You grew more certain of what he wanted as his hand settled on your waist and he pressed his lips to your neck.  “Not gonna save it for after the show?”  “No, I really think I need to now. You look so sexy and you’ve got me all excited. I don’t want it to interfere with my performance.” His hand slipped under the hem of your dress to toy with you through your knickers.  You giggled again as you felt his cock stir against your arse, “Maybe we should find a private room. I’m sure theres a bathroom or something we can defile.”  “They can’t see us,” he murmured, mouthing at your pulse point, his fingers more instistently touching you.  “Charming,” you admonished though not seriously. You were used to Roger’s charms and how much he liked the danger of playing in public.  “Alright,” he shrugged, leaning close to you ear, “What if I said I want to pump you full of cum so you can spend the whole show feeling it drip into your panties and then after I’m done playing I’ll take you back to the hotel, gag you with your messy knickers, and fill you again.”  You bit back a whimper but you couldn’t keep from squirming a little, rubbing yourself against his rapidly stiffening cock.   That just made him laugh, “See, you want it too. Are you going to be good and let me fill my favourite pussy or do I have to make you behave?”  You jolted as he shifted his stance to give your arse a quick slap.  “I’ll be good Roger,” you almost whined, bending over the timpani and hiking up your skirt.   “That’s my girl,” he cooed, pulling your knickers aside and easing himself into you.
You gasped for air as he began fucking you, his pace punishingly fast. You had no way to know if he was being considerate in trying to get you both off quickly, knowing full well that while you were hidden it was still possible for anyone to stumble onto you, or if he was just so aroused by the idea of being caught that it made him excited and rough. Either way though it was good. You had to bite down on your arm to keep from being too loud, just in case someone on the other side of the curtain heard.   Roger was less concerned with that though, turning the danger into dirty talk. “Wouldn’t it be so hot if someone heard you. God I’d love to put a mic on you so everyone could hear how good I fuck you. Go on, moan properly so they all know.”  You tried to hold off but he swatted your arse cheek again, “Moan. Or so help me god I wont stop until someone does hear.”  That did make you moan, drawn out and desperate.  Roger laughed through his ragged breath, “G-good gi-rl.” He reached around to rub your clit, “Better cum soon or the whole crew will finish setting up and they’ll all see you. Unless you want them to know how my favourite whore looks taking my cock.”  You whined but his fingers were relentless, circling your clit the way he knew you liked as he kept fucking into you. You moaned again as you came.   And with your orgasm it didn’t take long for Roger to make good on the first part of his plan, pulling your hips back against him, fingertips digging into your skin, so you were flush against him with his cock buried deep as he filled you.
You stayed bent over the timpani as Roger fixed your underwear and smoothed down your dress before tucking himself back into his pants.  “Thanks love,” he said, kissing your temple, “I needed that. You should go find your seat now. I’ll find you afterwards so we can go back to the hotel.”  With an appreciative pat on your arse and an amused wink Roger headed off out of the dingy corridor, ready to play.

do people really get mad in québéc of you don't speak french? i know that french people are very particular about everything being french, but is québéc more lax? takk!
Hiii! I don’t know how long this message’s been in my inbox, I never got a notification sorry..
edit from after writing the whole thing: this is about to get messy and confusing i’m sorry.
My answer would be it depends? If you are in Montreal, I’d say people don’t get that mad because they’re used to meeting/being around people who do not speak French. If you are in a very French speaking city, this might be more of a problem, but I’d say generally people won’t get mad directly at you, they will just make a comment/complain about it once you’re gone. But then again it always depends on the context, like who are the people, are they expecting you to speak English, etc.
I guess the whole issue is about that actually, people expecting us to speak English (and I know your question was about French, but really it’s all about English because no one will care if you speak Spanish or German or whatever other language). The problem I have with anglophones is that they expect us to speak English and that can make me mad (but I most likely will never say a thing about it to them), even though I speak English pretty well! If you’re a tourist and you come to Québec, don’t worry to much about it though, just recognize that many of the people you will meet do not speak English very well, or not at all sometimes. If you don’t want to make someone mad, say “Bonjour” and “Merci” or just ask them if they speak English before talking to them in that language ( “Parlez-vous anglais?” will do the trick and make the person 10 times more willing to be nice to you and make an effort to speak English)
I, for one, definitely get mad (but usually don’t say it) at people who live in Québec and don’t speak French, especially those who have lived here their whole life. This could be because I grew up in a family where the importance of French was talked about a lot and I’ve grown to have less respect for the people who don’t try (because obviously I’m not expecting everyone to speak French like native speakers). But that’s my opinion and I don’t actually know if the majority of people thinks that way.
Now, about the “everything being French” part of your ask, we do have a law that makes it mandatory for everything to be in French, like labels, work, services for example. It’s called the “Loi 101” or “Charte de la langue française”. It also makes it mandatory for children to go to French school unless their parents received an English education. So yes, in that matter we are very intense about everything being French. For example, if your company tried to sell something and there was only English or Spanish on the label, it would technically be illegal. Also, there was this whole debate in Montreal not too long ago about banning the use of “Bonjour/Hi” which is how many store employees greet customers because they don’t know if the person speaks French or English. The idea behind the debate was that we shouldn’t have to greet people in English when we are in a place where French is the official language/the language spoken by the majority. I don’t actually know how that debate ended but yeah... That actually makes me think of something, my friend works at Starbucks in Montreal and he doesn’t care about the Bonjour/Hi thing and says it. But he also gets really annoyed at English customers who do not respond when he just says “Bonjour” to them, like they didn’t understand. This is the kind of thing that will irritate us, non-French speakers who don’t make the slight effort.
I wish i had a simple yes or no answer to give you, but it’s much more complicated than that. Anyway, I hope you sort of understood what I was trying to say and if that wasn’t clear, feel free to send me a message I’d love to clarify things with you (or anyone really).
Have an excellent day!
TL;DR: some people will get mad at you behind your back if you don’t make an effort to speak French or expect them to speak English. This is worse with non- French speakers who live here. Tourists don’t worry, just say “Bonjour” and “Merci”. Vive le français!

Hiii, how is your day going? Qotd: What would you do if you won the lottery? - 💛 anon
Hi!! My day is going well! I got back from a trip to Montreal and I’m feeling pretty good, kinda goofy but ready to write!! How are you??
This might sound lame but I would probably use it to get a nice cozy apartment. With a lot of cute things in it. The real aesthetic type. After that, I would save it for post-secondary.
Thank you for asking!! talk to you next time darling!!
