Young Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna in Russian Court Dress

A bit more information provided by@bollymusings about this painting:

“This is actually a portrait made by Tuxen, quite possibly a study for the figure of Olga that was later included in the large Nicholas and Alexandra wedding ceremony painting.”

If you go to the painting referenced and look straight past Nicholas and Alexandra, the Grand Duchesses seem by the wall of the church directly opposite your point of view. The outline of Olga is there.)

Tuxen was a Danish painter.

I do not know the author or provenance of this painting. Olga’s name is barely visible at the top. The work looks as though it was executed by a youthful hand but the likeness to Olga is definite. It is possible that this is a self portrait.

I really wish, after all these years, @staff would make it possible to change the secondary blog to the primary status. I have been inactive on my primary blog for years and have no intention of ever posting there again. Yet whenever I follow somebody or send an ask, they will hardly be able to realize that it is Ally from "manuscripts-dontburn" rather than somebody from "bollymusings". And I am tired of writing it everywhere.

I was and I LOVED it!! I was actually there during my birthday which was really cool :) It was insanely gorgeous and I think it’s very underrated. I would highly recommend it as a place to visit!

Thank you both!

There is so much to do! I don’t know where to start. But I am happy, too. I was/am so unhappy at my current job and where I currently live and now I’ll be moving back much closer to my family and the job sounds interesting and the company sounds really nice and has great benefits. The next few weeks will be so stressful.
