but the rest of the house is 40 DEGREES

as soon as I open my bedroom door it's like walking into a refrigerator

#my mom slept in the sun room next to the space heater out there which i forgot about #the TV stand in there doubles as a space heater it's cool af #my kid went to my sister's house & thankfully there wasn't school today #i was given the option to go but there was no way I was gonna leave my cats here in the cold #not that I wasn't allowed to bring them with me it's that i only have 1 cat carrier rn and it would have been hell to get them out #.bdo

USS Hornet (CV-8) - After being heavily damaged by bomb and torpedo attacks during the battle Santa Cruz Islands, and with news of an enemy surface force approaching, she was ordered to be scuttled. However, she did not sink until the enemy surface force arrived and torpedoed her. She sunk on October 27, 1942.

USS Enterprise (CV-6) - Fought in every major battle and campaign in the Pacfic theatre, from Pearl Harbor to Okinawa. She was the sole survivor out of the three sister ships in her class.

The second image represents the Enterprise, with MS 21 camouflage, at the Hudson river for the 1945 Navy Day Fleet Review.

I am so confused.  My mother in law just accused me of purposefully taking my son in a walk in his stroller to put him to sleep.

Like yes, why not?  I mean it’s not bad to purposefully take babies for walks on nice days to get them down for a nap last I checked.  He was wearing his hat, I had the sun screen lowered, and we were just walking to the far shrine in the neighborhood, a walk he has taken frequently while strapped to my chest might I add.  And the weather is lovely, sunny, a cool breeze, and not too hot.

Apparently, according to her, it’s a lazy way to get a baby down for a nap.

Zero shits given, he fell asleep after 2 km of walking, I’m happy.  This routine will probably continue for a long while.  He’ll be one before the weather gets too cold for walks like this, and by then he won’t need them to get to sleep hopefully.

Although if he has my issues with insomnia, it may be twenty years before he figures out how to get himself to sleep without issue.  I have sleep headphones, if he has issues as a teenager I’ll give them to him along with podcast recommendations.

#baby's first day out in a stroller #it went very well #I definitely will be switching to this over the carrier for going to the store #I mean yeah I can't lock up the stroller #but everyone in the area knows who I am #so if anyone steals the stroller every grandmother in the area will know #and woe on the person who steals the cute little baby's stroller #also it's a used stroller from my sister in law #so if it gets stolen I can buy a better one #this one has hooks on it for grocery bags instead of an under shelf

#im baaack idk if i even said but i was in sand diego on a trip w my mommy and sisters #it was so fun! we went to the zoo and the beach and saw tidepools and went on a big huge old battleship and got a big dose of #military propaganda. that wasnt cool but the ship was cool it was like an aircraft carrier and we saw all these old airplanes and learned #abt how they used to launch them off the ship and stuff #and we went on a boat ride and saw lots of stuff arnd it was cool and it was so nice to hang out w my sisters one of them lives v far from #me so i dont see her very much. anyway it was good to be unplugged a bit i dont keep social media on my phone so thats why i wasnt online a #all which was good but i did miss posting every thought i ever have on here. and i missed my beloved mutuals of course....

#the bin #i found a good affordable option for moving but idk if itll work bc its only got 2 seats and i have to bring 2 cats and 2 snakes with me #i could fit one carrier on my lap but i cant fit 2 on my lap. not for a 20 hour drive. ughhhhhh!!!! #it seems pretty roomy so maybe if i get them each a harness and ket them out periodically it would be fine #i could deal with the discomfort but idk if the perosn driving me is gonna be ok with it and having to hear 2 cats scream the whole time #maybe if i oay him enough he will. i mean. he currently owes me a bunch of money so maybe he would be willing to deal with it #i wish i didnt have to deal with this. and i REALLY wish i didnt have to go on a 20 hours drive with just my sisters boyfriend who i really #do not know or feel comfortable around #hhhhh. whateverrrr

Last night i went to a huge tricky tray with my brother and SIL. We had so much fun! My sister and I both won a few things. I won a fancy cat carrier (I googled when I got home and saw it listed for $70-$200!) and a gigantic (34”) mermaid statue. It’s so heavy, but so pretty! I also googled her and found her here.

The 50/50 raffle was about $12,500 take home, and that isn’t even the highest I’ve seen it. I remember one year the take home was $17,000! Sadly, I didn’t win. It would have been a hell of a down payment on a new car. Oh well! 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m still super happy with what I got and I had a lot of fun, that’s what matters. :)

i’m home for the weekend and was originally only supposed to be home from like 8pm Thurs-Sunday morning so i didn’t want to bring Tuna because it’s a pretty short time but i ended up coming home a day early so i probably could have brought him and now im sad 😭😭😭

#that orange one is pete he lives at my parents house and he's a half outdoor cat AGAINST MY CONSTANT ADVISEMENT #but he keeps getting in fights and he always loses:( so he has this big gash on his ear rn we had to wash him and put some medicine on that #we had from the vet from LAST TIME THIS FUCKING HAPPENED #and he was mad and wanted to go right back outside. what is wrong with you. #and then poor buttercup:( she hates to be in the carrier and hates the car and hates new places. she's currently at my parents so she won't #get squished to death or run out the door while we're moving stuff. and she is so scarified and also mad at me for making her go in the #carrier #literally can't do anything right as a cat mother. like would you rather i fucking LEFT YOU THERE #anyway hi how's everyone doing i am still in the throes of moving day but we had to take a pit stop at my parents and my sister is coming to #meet us bc she is so nice and wants to help clean:) so we have to wait here i get a nice little break:) hi guys hiiiii
