actually you know what while I’m in a slightly ranchers mood. okay so I’ve seen a lot of cute fics where jimmy goes to hang out with the hermitcraft side of team ZIT, right, and they ARE cute. however I think also it fundamentally fails to take into account that both jimmy and zedaph are weird little blonde, overly proud, easily offended british men who can be really possessive over things they like. plus zedaph is a Known Grumpy Introvert and jimmy automatically positions himself on the defensive.

what I’m SAYING is that I personally imagine that if tango introduced zedaph and jimmy they’d hiss and spit at each other like feral cats and IMMEDIATELY get extremely competitive over who’s the better tango friend while tango sits there like “oh good they’re getting along :3”,

thinking about hector taming horses. doing it since he was a young man and he kept doing it all throughout his life. doing it before and during the war. his family telling him to be careful and worrying when he goes to a wild horse. spending hours in a pasture with it, and just sitting there and talking to it. letting the horse get used to his presence. the horse is stubborn and perhaps terrified, but hector doesn't mind. he doesn't mind how long it takes. and then slowly gaining the horse's trust. smiling and petting the horse once it feels safe enough to approach him. feeding it treats out of his hand. all the horses getting excited and trotting over when they see him. bringing his baby son to watch them, and they slowly approach and sniff astyanax. astyanax petting the horse's soft muzzle with his little chubby baby hands. and andromache loves the horses as well and often feeds them. and feeling an emptiness in his chest whenever a horse is killed on the battlefield. a horse he cared about. a horse he befriended and that can't be replaced. the horses looking around and waiting for hector to come to them. but they don't know he is dead. and they just wait and wait and look for him. but he doesn't come back.
