The new Jedi temple was built around one of the oldest buildings in the city; the vast hall had once been a market and gathering spot, one of the original seats of Lonisa municipal power.

Ram scaled one of the soaring pillars to the huge domed roof. It was built on a cresting hill so anyone in Lonisa City could look up and see it, no matter where they were.

He plopped onto a comfortable spot on one of the elaborate archways and caught his breath.

He edged carefully along one of the carved reliefs decorating the roof, resolutely refusing to look down. He stepped on a stone Twi’lek Jedi’s head, wincing when part of their lekku crumbled and fell off.

elzar is a much better man than me because if this was the temple i was in charge of (and my first posting as a marshal!) i’d be preening like a peacock. you could not tell me anything. of course the fair administrator has a crush on me. who wouldn’t. i’m king of the town

Tep Tep appreciation post + EfV book thoughts (minor spoilers)

I just finish Escape from Valo and I can’t get enough of the new characters they added, but I especially enjoyed Tep Tep. I adore Jedi whose shtick is that they commune with animals, it’s always the best and doesn’t get old in my opinion. Just one book and she already has to be one of my favorite characters to come out of the High Republic. Her being transgender is just the cherry on top and a big win. Protect Tep Tep!

WE NEED MORE REPRESENTATION IN STAR WARS, ANY AND ALL

I’m hoping we get to see more of Kildo & Gavi’s relationship, I’m curious on how it’ll turn out, them being Jedi and all. Ram’s “you guys are mine” speech made me tear up a little and this book made me really appreciate him more. Also more pirates!! Pirates are my favorite thing to see in Star Wars behind the Jedi & Sith of course, I want more pirate centric stories (it’s the One Piece fan in me wanting this). Phase 3 is really shaping up to be my favorite phase and I can’t wait to see what’s next and how it all ends!

Ima have to re-read the books with Ram in them and this book will be getting an encore reading ^^

Some fore edge paintings of the phase 3 books. I wasn’t quite sure on the design for these but I think I kind of got what I was going for. I didn’t have too much of an issue with the paint cracking either, or at least not too much of an issue I couldn’t fix later. The pages curled up quite a bit on Escape from Valo so I’ve had it in the clamp for a few days, hopefully the pages have flattened out a bit.

These books keep getting gayer and gayer and I’m very much here for it. Escape from Valo was so fun, all of the younglings were adorable and I would die for them

Then Spoilers cause its revealed halfway through the book.

She's trans!

You literally don't know till like page 200 in a flashback mentioning she's grown her hair out, changed her name and dorms recently and seems so much happier for it.

(We knew Ram beforehand hence why I'm not including him as new)
