After the Civil War ended white racial violence against now freed Black people erupted in Memphis (1866), New Orleans (1866, 1874, 1895 and 1900), Tennessee again in 1868, Mississippi (1871), Louisiana (1873), Alabama (1874), South Carolina (1876 and 1898), and Atlanta, Georgia (1906). During the 1866 riots in Memphis and New Orleans as many as 100 Black men and women were murdered. In Colfax, Louisiana, a white militia murdered as many as 150 Black men in 1873. In 1898, a white mob in Wilmington, North Carolina overthrew an interracial elected government. Rioters destroyed Black-owned property and businesses and killed as many as 300 people.
As the National Memorial for Peace and Justice in Montgomery, Alabama documents, between the end of Reconstruction in 1877 and 1950, racial terrorism led by groups like the Ku Klux Klan, including former Confederate soldiers, swept through the South to enforce Jim Crow segregation, protect unfair labor relations, and deny African Americans the right to vote. There were over 4,000 lynchings in twelve Southern states. An estimated six million Black people eventually fled north and west to escape the South’s terrorist regime.
Again, racist violence was not confined to the South. In 1910, after Jack Johnson, the defending heavyweight champion and an African-American defeated James J. Jeffries, a white former champion, anti-Black riots broke out in Atlanta, Cincinnati, Chicago, Columbus, Houston, Lo Angeles, New Orleans, New York, Philadelphia, and St. Louis. During and after World War I, as African Americans moved north to escape racist violence in the South and to find newly opening factory jobs, they were attacked in Chester, Pennsylvania, East St. Louis, Illinois, Omaha, Nebraska, Wilmington, Delaware, New York, and Chicago. White mobs destroyed hundreds of black homes and businesses on Chicago’s South Side. Over 1,000 Black families were left homeless. The worst white mob violence was in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1921 where white rioters, many deputized by local police, attacked and destroyed homes and businesses in the Greenwood District, a prosperous Black community. The Tulsa massacre is considered the worst incident of racial violence in United States history.
White attacks on Black people erupted again during World War II as African Americans challenged segregation in jobs and housing. Whites rioted against Black workers and families in Beaumont, Texas, Mobile, Alabama, Detroit and Los Angeles. After the war there were a number of anti-Black, anti-integration riots in the Chicago metropolitan area. The Chicago Commission on Human Relations recorded over 350 serious attacks on Black families trying to move into what had been white Chicago neighborhoods between 1945 and 1950 alone, while Chicago Police Department reportedly did not intervene to stop the violence. In Cicero, a Chicago suburb, 4,000 whites attacked an apartment building where a Black family lived in 1951.
During the Civil Rights movement Black and white activists were repeatedly assaulted and a number were murdered, including Rev. George Lee and Lamar Smith in Mississippi in 1955, Herbert Lee in Mississippi in 1961, William Lewis Moore in Georgia in 1963, Medgar Evers in Mississippi in 1963. James Chaney, Andrew Goodman, and Michael Schwerner in Neshoba County, Mississippi in June 1964, Jimmie Lee Jackson, Rev. James Reeb and Viola Gregg Liuzzo in Alabama in 1965, Samuel Ephesians Hammond Jr., Delano Herman Middleton and Henry Ezekial Smith in South Carolina in 1968, and the Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. on April 4, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee. In the 1970s, efforts to racially integrate schools in Boston and Brooklyn led to attacks on school buses.
In December 1986, Michael Griffith was chased onto a highway by a white mob after his car broke down near their Howard Beach, Queens neighborhood in New York City. Griffith was struck and killed by a car. In August 1989, Yusef Hawkins was shot to death after being attacked by a white mob in Bensonhurst Brooklyn in New York City. Hawkins had gone to Bensonhurt to inquire about a used car that was for sale. In August 1997, Brooklyn police tortured Abner Louima in their precinct house.
The advent of the cellphone camera finally exposed the extent of police and vigilante violence to a broader (meaning white) public, and the Black Lives Matter movement demanded that we “Say Their Names”: Ahmaud Arbery (Georgia); Sandra Bland (Texas); Michael Brown (Missouri); Eleanor Bumpus (New York); Philando Castile (Minnesota); George Floyd (Minnesota); Eric Garner (New York); Freddie Gray (Baltimore); Trayvon Martin (Florida); David McAtee (Kentucky); Tony McDade (Florida); Laquan McDonald (Chicago); Tamir Rice (Cleveland); and Breonna Taylor (Kentucky).

uwaaa how about some little tidbits with ezekial and luther.... like once ezekial pulls up and luther's life turns upside down how does he cope with it
OH ive been thinking about this too but how many aus do you have revolving around your ocs ??? im curious :3
SHEKEL. I AM LOOKING AT YOU WITH VERY BIG AUTISTIC EYES.
I’m going to answer the second question first bc it’s shorter I think. I actually don’t have like a ton of aus as a whole. Juno’s got the most variations though bc I’m insane about digivalen <3 For them I’ve got
- shogunswap (where juno stays part of the main gang)
- shogunswap (where Juno’s with DNA instead)
- mermaid au
And I could’ve sworn I had another one but I can’t remember it at the moment.
EDIT: I REMEMBERED!!! MANGA JUNO! Idk if that really counts as like an au au but manga compliant juno and anime compliant juno are very different so I count it. That also brings up manga Victoria as an au for her too, since anime compliant Victoria dies while Sakyo’s still young while manga Victoria’s still kicking 🫡
The other that immediately comes to mind is Ezekial and Luther au where Luther’s family is actually completely fine and normal and nothing goes wrong and everyone’s fine. That one’s uuuunrealistiiiic :]
When I was younger I was super into Undertale aus though and I had an underfell version of my main ocs at the time where they were all just edgy and mean and sad. fun times <3
OH YK I did just remember I do have mfb wakfu au from when I was rewatching wakfu. Juno was an eniripsa, Axyl’s an eliatrope, and then bc of that I have two different Wakfu Essi’s. Alone, I can definitely see her as an iop, but in wakfu lore, all eliatrope’s have a shapeshifting dragon sibling who come from the same egg as them, so that also opens the door for dragon essi (I actually have doodled eliatrope Axyl and dragon essi before I’ll have to find those when I get home.) For the other characters, feca kite and eight for sure, sacrier chao xin (I also have sacrier Chao Xin somewhere I will also be finding those later), and I never fully settled on a species for the garcias but ecaflips were the main option in my head.
Then for Ezekial and Luther. smile :)
Luther is a whole mess of emotions when Ezekial shows back up. When his goons essentially “capture” Ezekial while he’s snooping around, the bring him to Luther, who looks down on Ezekial very intensely and very coldly. Their entire first interaction there is completely cold on Luther’s end. Ezekial is ECSTATIC to finally see him again but Luther is really intent on keeping up his professional demeanor. At first, he’s willing to let Ezekial go unharmed and just leave it at that, but when Ezekial refuses to go, Luther tries to be a little bit more “convincing,” and in that moment is especially trying to emphasize (both to Ezekial and to himself) that he’s a different person that he once was and isn’t so merciful. Even then, Ezekial persists, and the more he pushes, the more Luther finds himself enraged for reasons he can’t quite understand. Luther has a reputation for usually being able to prevent his own hands from getting dirty, but he can’t help but shut Ezekial’s whole speech about how he knows that “his best friend is still in there somewhere” down with a firm kick to the gut from his own boot. This is not the last time something like this will happen, and it’s notable that Ezekial is the only person who’s ever been able to rile Luther up enough that other people see him lose his temper and put his hands on someone. It’s notable also that it’s not just rage behind Luther’s eyes, but a deep unsteadiness and what could be considered fear.
Luther from there on out decides to keep Ezekial “prisoner” basically, not necessarily because he wants him around but because he knows Ezekial can cause problems for him if left to his own devices and wants to keep an eye on him. That is how The Problems start and continue to develop into A Plot :]
There is actually one scenario I’ve thought A LOT about because it’s a really important scene for these two. Maybe the first night Ezekial is there, maybe not, but it’s still relatively early into them being reunited, Luther lets Ezekial into his room one night. Ezekial is there kind of awkwardly twiddling his thumbs while Luther showers ((((((IN A SEPERATE ROOM)))))) ((((((LUTHER HAS A BATHROOM ATTACHED TO HIS BEDROOM)))))) ((((((EZEKIAL IS AWKWARDLY SITTING AROUND IN LUTHER’S BEDROOM WHEN THIS HAPPENS))))), notably the most unsupervised Luther has left him at this point, and when Luther comes out, he still barely acknowledges Ezekial but instead walks past him onto the balcony. He leaves the door open, a silent invitation, as Ezekial follows him out and finds Luther lighting a cigarette, leaning against the railing. Ezekial stiffly copies the action and the two sit in a tense (well, tense for Ezekial at least) silence before Luther is the one to start the conversation and the two just. Talk. It’s the most vulnerable Luther has left himself in front of Ezekial and the closest thing Ezekial’s gotten to feeling like he’s connecting to the real Luther again. When this conversation is over, they’ll go back to how it was before, but it’ll stay in both of their minds, and it definitely won’t be the last of its kind despite that.
This is like, fairly old art that I don’t like anymore, but I did kinda draw out part of this scene.

for the oc ask. axel. 8 for luther, 16 for ezekial, and 38 for any of your ocs!
for creator asks, how about F?
What were they told to stop/start doing most often as a child?
I think probably a lot of what you’d kinda expect from someone in Luther’s kind of situation. A whole lot of “toughen up” “stand up straight” “treat this more seriously” that sort of thing. But in the more specific, probably more concerning areas, some “Stop showing your feelings so much” “Don’t get so attached” and “Don’t look away.” that last one particularly haunts him.
What makes their stomach turn?
At first, Ezekial was most put off when he started realizing what made Luther anxious. When they were waiting to get picked up from school and Luther would smile and wave goodbye when he walked away from him, but seeing how his face turned to stone as soon as closed the door of the sleek black car that always picked him up, when Luther would suddenly become panicked and jittery when that same car passed by them when they were out. At one point, it was the way Luther leveled out his voice while he lied to his face with frozen eyes that refused to tell him their secrets. Now, it’s not the way Luther speaks to him; he’s okay hearing Luther say how much he hates him and wants him gone because he knows it’s not true, and it’s not the way Luther treats him either; he’s endured enough that getting punched and kicked and thrown doesn’t really phase him anymore, no, what really makes Ezekial feel particularly sick now is having to watch what Luther’s become. It’s the same face he’s always known, if maybe a bit more refined, the same face that used to be so kind and bright, but now won’t even show so much as a quirk of the corner of his lips. It’s the same voice he’s always heard, that’s always laughed and joked with him and sung his praise and support, but now it’s lower, more level, never daring to ever be any louder or more expressive unless it’s to yell at him. It’s the way that he has to wonder what Luther has had to do, to experience, to force himself to commit to, that makes Ezekial particularly uneasy.
What memory do they revisit the most often?
Axyl often tends to think about the first time they “quit” beyblade. When they took the tear stained wooden practice bey Ryo carved for them and threw it right back at his chest, vowing they’d never pick up a bey again, and the talk Hyoma and aer had later. In contrast, it also often thinks back to the way they were first drawn to its gemios. How they felt compelled to pick it up in the sand and how well it fit in aer hand.
Essi tends to dwell a lot on the first time she lost to Gingka and felt good about it, and how that was what lit the fire in her to keep going and continue to become stronger and stronger.
Ezekial never forgets his and Luther’s big argument. It haunts his every living moment, it’s his biggest regret and fear and strongest driving force. He remembers how Luther yelled at him like he’d never yelled before and how quickly his attempt at a solemn face broke into frustration and hot, angry tears. He will never stop thinking about the moment Luther finally turned away from him.
Luther doesn’t dwell on the past.
What do you feel when you think of your OC (pride, excitement, frustration, etc)?
I think it changes for every one of my characters.
For Juno, I kinda just always “IBWIBWIBWIBWIBWIBWIBWIBIIIIII 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞” whenever I think about her. She makes me extremely happy and I want to put her on a little velvet cushion in a glass case and display her on a shelf in a big fancy main hall of a big fancy palace.
Essi I want to squish and roll out like a little ball of play doh. She brings me joy, though also kinda hits really hard when I think about her primary conflicts and how heavily and personally I project onto her in those regards.
Axyl i tend to kinda be embarrassed about because I remember that he’s a character that is a very obvious beyblade self insert and I go “this is so cringe” but I’m also very affectionate towards him because despite being a very close self insert he’s also very much his own character and I enjoy getting to take the things I think and experience as the person I am and flesh them out and voice them on a vessel besides myself. It’s very therapeutic but also just an interesting story for a character. I feel like media tends to focus a lot on characters who are very skilled and strong already getting stronger and more strong and I constantly want more serious focus on characters who actually kinda suck and what they do and are weak and lame because that’s kinda what I am at most things, and Axyl’s kinda my opportunity to see that. I enjoy fleshing out its character because it gives me an opportunity to write something I wanna see more of.
Kosuke brings me psychic damage most of the time tbh. I’ve had kinda bastard characters before but I have no idea how he specifically morphed into the bastard he is today. It is literally so far off now from what I originally wanted him to be and I’m not entirely unconvinced that it wasn’t his own doing and willing their being into existence thru sheer freak energy alone. I like that other people are interested in him but he’s become such a freak at this point that I don’t even know what to do with them. They are more of a weirdo than any character I’ve ever had and I feel like that’s saying something. They’ve become more powerful than I am at this point. I’m kinda afraid of him, but they’re also stupid and dumb and I very frequently slap him against the wall like a wet wad of spaghetti in my head.
Ezekial is interesting because I feel like I’ve only recently started to take him more seriously. Looking back at a lot of old doodles of him and revisiting the ideas I had for him is interesting bc he used to be a lot more goofy and comedic all the time and while that is still partially a part of his character, it’s a lot more sad now and he just makes me sad /pos. He’s such a poor wet dog trying to make the best of what he can and he makes me so upset and I want to tuck him gently into bed and give him a cup of hot cocoa but I know very well that that is not what I’m going to do. He’s an interesting character to write and think about and he’s just so incredibly upsetting.
Luther I want to squeeze aggressively until his eyes pop out of his head like one of those pencil toppers you’d see at school book fairs. He’s so repressed and sad and pathetic and has so many problems and he’s so infuriating and dumb. He also makes me immensely sad, with how messed up his backstory is and how is present actions are very much a reflection of everything he’s endured and how long it’d take for him to recover, if ever. There’s one scene specifically that I probably won’t share publicly for a very long time if at all that is such an emotional rollercoaster with the false security it brings at first and HEAVY emotional drop at the end that just. ourgh. ourghhh. a lot of emotional scenes with him in them make me feel like that. I love writing him so much but oooooooouuuuurghhhh he hurts me so bad.

For the ask game i wanna know abt 9 for luther. Im very curious
Do they swear? Do they remember their first swear word?
He swears very frequently now, though that wasn’t always the case. He tended to bite his tongue a lot and watched what he said most of the time because he didn’t wanna get in trouble. He was very cautious about it, really only swearing occasionally when he and Ezekial were 100% alone. I don’t know if he’d remember the very first time he swore, but I imagine it’d be when he and Ezekial were together and he was ranting about some authority figure and said “and like, they just wouldn’t get off my ass about it!” and kinda just went on with that until pausing midsentence like 10 seconds later like “…wait a minute.”

21 for the oc questions!! directed at anyone you want :)
OHO THATS AN INTERESTING ONE
Why do they get up in the morning?
- Axyl doesn’t really know why anymore. Sometimes they’d rather stay in bed all day but they know eventually they’d have to get up. I think it does it mostly just so that people still know that ae’s alive.
- Essi’s got work that needs to be done. She’s gotta train and improve and talk to people and make friends and she’s gotta get up first to do that
- Ezekial does it because he’s still got a goal to work towards. He can’t stay in one place because if he does that means he’s setting that aside, and he won’t be able to rest until he’s solved this. He’s gotta keep going because he still cares far too much.
- Kosuke exists only to cause problems

I DIDNT SEE THE OC ASK POST ORZ
for ezekial and luther 1,2,28 .... and ykw fuck it 11
Do they have any motifs?
Luther has 2 kinda. One was a little intentional the other just kinda came as a bonus. His main one is like, angelic imagery. That’s mostly from one of the first scenes of the story I came up with, where Ezekial is first brought to see Luther, who’s standing above him with light shining from behind him, and that with his hair kind of creates a halo kind of look and Ezekial remarks to himself that he looks like an angel. And yk, that whole like, white/light blue being angelic/pure idea with his color palette also kinda reflects that, which is both reflective and subversive to his character. Reflective in that it shows how he likes to be extremely clean and put together, but subverts how he’s involved with very dark things. His other motif only just occurred to me, that being space/moons. His planet and moon earrings weren’t really meant to be anything more than a cool design choice, but I realized that a lot of scenes I’ve pictured where he’s more vulnerable and open are at night and/or under the moonlight, so that motif has become a bit important to his character. You could also definitely draw some sun and moon imagery with him and Ezekial from that.
Ezekial doesn’t really have concrete motifs in the same way Luther does. There’s a couple reoccurring ideas that surround him, like scarring, loneliness, and loyalty, but I haven’t really given him strong specific motifs. I guess the main one that you could argue for that I’ve been thinking about lately is kind of like, wearing over time. That applies to the story and their dynamic at large, but specifically with Ezekial, there’s a lot of focus with him having to accept that things are not the same as they once were, as well as visually, his design changes and wears with time, both with him getting more and more scars and with his clothes gradually becoming more scuffed and dirty with the more experience he has. This also juxtaposes Luther, whose design is very clean and sharp and put together.
Describe their voice. Do they have a voice claim?
I always struggle finding voice claims for my characters bc I have such a specific vision in my head that nothing feels completely right for them, but I’ll try to get as close as I can.
For Ezekial, my first thought was Aoba from the beastars dub (I think. I was specifically thinking of the “hey, legoshi already knows her name!” line and I’m pretty sure that’s aoba but idk). Looking up a couple voices, I think also a bit of Ash from fantastic mr fox, though very slightly lower for both of those. Also also a smiiiidge of mk from lmk. Just a bit. The idea for him is to have a voice that’s very smooth and nice, pretty average tbh, and usually very bright but occasionally able to slip into a darker tone. Idk though, I feel like he’s really hard to place and I don’t even know if I really like any of these all that much for him, but it’s the best I got 😭
Luther’s voice I imagine closer to the lower end but also not particularly deep, very soft and level, kind of that back of the throat kind of sound. It’s really dumb but specifically I thought of that one clip that’s like “SHUT UP. SHUT UP. IM GONNA KILL THE NEXT PERSON I SEE I SWEAR TO GOD” but JUST for him yelling. The line I was imagining him saying in that tone was “Don’t you get it!?” and it works oddly well. Otherwise, it’s kinda like a mix between lilac cookie’s eng voice and sal fisher. Another one I found specifically looking at voice claim compilations that’s random as fuck is Wesley Gibson from wanted??? no idea who that is or what that’s about but I think his voice fits really really well for Luther.
Are they a dog or a cat person?
Ezekial likes both and he wouldn’t be able to choose, though probably leans a little more to dogs.
Luther you’d think would be more of a cat person, given his everything, but he actually prefers dogs because they’re easier to train and more obedient. He doesn’t dislike cats though.
Have they ever fallen in love and with whom?
I mean, there is a LOT of longing between these two, especially on Ezekial’s end. He’s been in love Luther since they were really young but I think he didn’t really realize that for a long time. At some point it kinda registered for him but even then I don’t think he ever really said it out loud to himself. It was never really some big revelation or anything, just kind of putting a word to a feeling that’s always been there.
And I’m not gonna lie and say the feeling isn’t reciprocated, but that’s something Luther hasn’t thought about in years and still hasn’t yet to really understand himself. The mix of emotional suppression and catholic guilt made a cocktail of self denial and inability to really accept that thought when he was younger, and in the present it’s far worse and far more repressed, and he has a long way to go before anything begins to change with that.
It’s actually interesting because this is also a scene I thought of pretty recently. After their reunion, once the tension has settled past the initial Luther-being-willing-to-kick-Ezekial-across-the-floor-without-a-second-glance phase, one of the conversations they end up having is Ezekial asking Luther if he’s dated anyone since he last saw him, to which Luther respond “I don’t think you could really call it that.” He asks the same question back at Ezekial and Ezekial responds “Yeah, I don’t think those really count either.” And that surprises Luther and he give a little “Huh.” And Ezekial asks what that’s about but Luther just says it’s none of his concern (really he’s surprised because Ezekial’s always kinda been a romantic, and he’s dated a couple people before when they were younger. “And I mean, Ezekial’s an attractive guy, and he would probably be a good partner, how has he not had any good relationships since high school?” (<- clueless))

For the OC Ask, how about number 6, 7, 23, and 24 for Ezekial and Luther?
What do they like the least about themself?
Luther would say his weakness, which for him in the present means being unable to completely kill the part of himself that still care. If he was a little younger, his answer would be the same but instead it would mean his inability to stand up for himself.
Ezekial’s would be his poor manner of speaking. He always worries that he can’t say the right thing, that maybe, if he’d said something sooner or if he asked the right questions, things would’ve turned out better. He’s afraid that his constant need for deflection and humor makes it harder for people to take him seriously, or that he’s accidentally aggravated people without meaning to because he didn’t know anything better to say. It’s one of the things that keeps him up at night, and also partially what keeps him so set on making things up with Luther. This time, he’s determined to say the right thing.
What is the thing they like the most about themself?
Luther prides himself on his ability to keep his composure. He never lets anything slip through the cracks and is always able to keep a straight face and a level head. Even on the rare occasion he needs to dirty his own hands, he never lets anything show more than he needs to. That ends up being why Ezekial is so frustrating when he shows up again. Luther can keep his demeanor at first, but the more Ezekial pushes, he’s less able to stay calm.
Ezekial’s would be his dedication. For better or worse, he never lets anything go unfinished once he’s started it, and he’s cemented that as one of his core features. He’d never have gotten as far as he has without that part of himself.
What are their biggest flaws and biggest strengths?
One of Luther’s most damning qualities is that he very adamantly refuses to open up and communicate. Even when he was younger, when pressure from his family started building up and really taking a toll on him, even though it was clear something was wrong, he never confided in Ezekial or told him the truth about his situation. It worried Ezekial but he never properly communicated that anything was wrong, even though he trusted Ezekial more than anyone else, and that all eventually built up and bubbled over in their big argument before they split, where as soon as Ezekial started pushing, he just got angrier and lashed out at him, which was completely out of character and unexpected at the time. This persists in the present where not only does he not have anyone to really confide in anymore, but even when Ezekial comes back and tries to talk to him, as soon as he thinks he might be making progress, Luther just shuts down again and it all goes right back to square one. He’s gotten to the point where he’s repressing his own feelings so much he can’t even identify himself that he’s not doing well. Conversely, I think one of his most important strengths is that, while it wasn’t something he ever really wanted in the first place, he has a lot of power and he knows how to use it to his advantage. While he’s extremely emotionally flawed, he’s got a very practical and business oriented mindset that has brought him very far in his current situation and has a lot of people at his disposal. Even when he starts cracking later on, he’s still got a good control over the people under him.
As for Ezekial, while one of his best qualities, his almost naive trust and loyalty is also one of his biggest flaws. He’s selfless to a point of recklessness and taking one look at him is an obvious testament to that. He never gave up on Luther and was willing to go to the darkest depths for him, and that brought him a lot of pain and suffering along the way. He doesn’t care though. He neglects himself a lot and fails to really cater to his basic needs unless it’s immediately necessary. He would gladly take any beating or scarring as long as it means he can get through to Luther eventually, and while he’s okay with that, it’s not a good thing for him in the long run. That could also be one of his strengths though. Because of what he’s gone through, he’s adapted a lot to the environment and is very crafty and quick on his feet, being able to evade and get around very easily now. He has a crazy high endurance and can go through so much before it ever starts to break him.
How do they handle death of someone they know?
Ezekial is very empathetic and cares far too much about everyone and everything, so someone he knows dying would completely wreck him with grief, which I think would go for anyone. If it were someone particularly close to him cough cough, that would only be ten times worse. He’d go through a long denial stage and go through some really severe depression and feelings of hopelessness, and would inevitably probably find some way to be angry at himself for it.
For Luther, I think it would be far more complex. He’s almost become desensitized to death at this point, having to be surrounded by the thought constantly. When he was younger, that was much harder to stomach, but where he is now, he’s made himself grown numb to it, out of necessity if nothing else. Though for someone he knew more personally, it would depend. Generally though, it would shake him up more than he would like. That sort of thing could cause him to doubt his entire life and worldview. He’d be scared, uneasy, not knowing how to properly deal with it when it’s a face he’s know for longer than a brief period of time. He’d come out a very different person by the end of it.

Hi!! Do you like Raggedy Ann? Also how old are your Ocs?
I do!!! Big fan of Raggedy Ann and Andy: A Musical Adventure specifically, it very quickly became a massive comfort movie for me after I watched it. I’m not super big on any of the other animated media for it nor most of the dolls but I have an Antique Annie and Andy (idk if those are they’re actual names but that’s what it says on their tags) at home which are super cute (I also don’t have any pictures of them atm but I’ll rb this post with them when I can) and I am also OBSESSED with the Danbury mint Sweet Valentine dolls. They are SO cute and I really want them but all the eBay listings for them are over $100 and I don’t know if I can justify that purchase to myself
Tumblr media
As for my ocs, I don’t really have any concrete ages for them but the relative ranges:
Axyl: 15-16
Essi: 16-17
Kosuke: 16-17
Juno: 15-16 (notably Juno is younger than the previous 3 though since they’re teenagers during the main saga while Juno’s this age during shogun steel, which is 7 years after the end of the main saga)
Emilia is 10 and Pierre is 7 (again post-main saga) but I’ve actually been thinking abt making teenage designs for them bc small children are hard to draw man
Ryoma and Victoria when they first meet are both in their late 20s, they have sakyo when they’re early/mid 30’s, and Ryoma passes away like 4-ish years later while Victoria’s around 40 by the time she dies. I think Victoria’s probably like a year older than Ryoma though.
Luther and Ezekial: Both somewhere in their mid-late twenties. I’d say probably approx 27-ish, give or take
