Fight for Life

I've been playing and replaying Fallen Hero Rebirth and Retribution for way too many times and I'm still finding out new things that make me gasp.

And this piece is inspired by Charge and Trespasser's first fight, back in the museum. Trespasser is my Sidestep's villain name. And now looking at his arsenal, the name fits so well.

Also made a book-cover mock up.

That's Ruben (Hollow Ground) and River at the right, my main Sidestep 💕🌸

You see, Riot (River's villain persona) is a decent villain. An anarchist, fighting for Justice, tries to save people, warns Ochoa to stay safe... But as a person, he's a piece of shit. He can be a good-ish friend, but he's drawn to toxic environments and dynamics like a moth does the light because he doesn't how to get close to someone either way.

I see a parallel between his possible relationship with Ortega and Hollow Ground, because, to me, HG and Ortega are characters that disregard other people's boundaries or autonomy wishes.

Hollow Ground's own disregard is more obvious cause of the whole manipulation thing, but in River's case, he's subconsciously encouraged Ortega to make them think they should disregard those boundaries/be a pushover cause gods know River won't enthusiastically engage in a social interaction.

Yes, he is mad when people overstep. But he is EXPECTING them to overstep and I think he would get angrier or would think that either HG or Ortega don't give a shit about him if they didn't do so.

Which is not... A very healthy dynamic. But it's the only one he knows.

Also love me a good found family trope, especially if it's toxic siblings dynamic.

Hello I've come to share my new hyperfixation without any warning because these stories have been living rent free in my mind

This is my first Sidestep + his puppet, he likes to be his puppet (first ending I got was stuck on him wheeze-)

Amador has Telepathic boost + Strenght in his suit, I hated drawing that suit, corse me for doing it functional because it lives me with no detail

+ headshots of how he would've looked like at different stages (I experimented a little with this style but I really like how it came out)

Okay, I found a Picrew that actually works well enough for creating a reference to my Fallen Hero Sidestep, Puppet and OC!

I love these games. I just couldn't resist xD Sooooo, under the cut -

Sindy Beaumont, mixed gal in her early 30s, my Sidestep/Jekyll. Why not Hyde? Well, she hides as her normal self already, her villian self is, weirdly enough, more herself in ways then her civilian persona.

Although I should probably say Antihero instead of Villian. She has a no killing policy (though, depending on if anyone ever threatens Ortega or Mortum, that may change, or if she meets anyone from the Farm again) and even got Steel to doubt if she is a proper villian, even if unintentionally. An anarchist that wants the truth out there, and maybe a bit of revenge, eventually, if there is the opportunity. But yeah, mostly #ReGeneRights

She smokes, is dealing with her suicidal thoughts as well as she can, given the circumstances, and just has a lot of confused feelings. I think the reason for the chosen background here is obvious

John Doe. Puppet and pretty bastard. Sindy thought he was soulless, the whole coma thing, so she dyed his hair ginger.

I like to think he'd chuckle at it. If he isn't secretly evil. And even if he is, he might just agree and chuckle anyways.

Aaaaaaaaaand OC. Only known as Fox. Also an excaped ReGene, though of the more grey-blue skinned variety. The Farm tried out a modified version of the hero-drug for the first time, it did not quite go as planned, Fox got the power of precognition and suddenly five scientists were dead and she had blown a hole in the wall. And they just can't catch her again because... well. Looking into the future, knowing literally every way to avoid trouble, makes the whole catching business a lil bit difficult.

So I cant stop thinking about a Fallen Hero Rebi/tri OC.

Like a real OC, not Sidestep.

And my probably oldest fandom rised its head and he can shapeshift into any animal that he got DNA from! Is that impossible? Probably. Do I care? No.

Any injuries he suffers in any form transfer over into any other form he may take on, in fact often it makes its worse since his bones and internal organs are shifting around. Also, he cant switch from one form to another, he needs to change back into his human form first.

Other side of his power is that he can change specific parts of his body, and gain some animals special abilities like smell.

Tbh he is just a mix between Animorphs and Terra Formars.

However since this makes him one of the most likely Re-Genes to just vanish his tattoos cover nearly all of his skin safe his feet, hands and face in thin patterns and the same pattern is on every single one of his animal forms, unless its covered by fur. Still unsure if his skin is blue since this would also morph over into animal form.

His main job is infiltration, recovery/salvage, sort of "fly on the wall" but no one would be stupid enough to give him the DNA of something such small and easy to miss. And easy to kill.

After a mission into a sunken ship, where he got nearly killed by a shark while he was in the form of a seal, he dislikes the vast ocean and its dark depths. Also he probably has a healthy fear of drowning.
