Here is Yume's groovy birthday card! Fun fact I drew this one first before the basic card one. This is half art/half edit. I wanted to make it look most like a card so I used some twst refences and had a lot of fun with it.

Yume and Leona's dynamic is very fun! I'll post Yume's birthday interview in a few days!

Introduction: The film wherein the new songs of ASCANA and LIPxLIP are shown. An interview about their charming points! In addition, we also interviewed the two music producers of HoneyWorks!

Haniwa-san’s challenge to us

Question: In the last month’s issue, the highlights of the movie were discussed; this time, we would like to hear the appeal of the two new songs. First, the opening theme song “LOVE&KISS”, what kind of song is it?

Aizou: It is a song that raises your excitement to the max! You can easily follow the tempo and once you listen to it, it makes you listen to it firmly. I think it is a cool song that is energetic!

Yuujirou: As Aizou had said, it is a song that is super cool. The flow (of the song) is very dramatic and I think you won’t lose interest even when you listen to it several times. When I first listened to the song, I felt very excited. The lyrics are also very good and I hope you’ll enjoy them as well as the chorus of this song.

Aizou: So we won’t lose to the song itself, we both sang in earnest! I hope you’ll listen to it lots!!

Q: Please tell us your favorite line(s) of the song.

Aizou: The lyrics are super good; it’s difficult to choose. I think mine is this part “Zettai yume wa zettai kimi no love&kiss, zettai muri wa zekkouchou de kowashichae”! It’s like raising your spirit, giving you some kind of power, and a feeling of “Let’s do this-!”

Yuujirou: In the first and last chorus, there is this line, “Yakitsuke sasete ageru yo”. I love this part.

Aizou: We’re singing that together.

Yuujirou: Yes, yes. We sang with all our heart and it would be wonderful if our song thoroughly reaches (the listeners). That way it will be burned in everyone’s hearts.

Aizou: The hard part was the line “Yuiitsu muni se ̄no de big bang”; I was moving along with the song that I unintentionally got off the mic (laughs). Basically, we record by facing the mic and singing on it. To sing along without the body distancing from the mic…that is the difficult part…

Yuujirou: That’s a very Aizou thing to do (laughs). For me, the “Kugidzuke ni shite yaru” ; I thought, I wanted to challenge myself on how impressive I could sing so I recorded it many times. This (part) is the beginning and will lead to the chorus, so I did my best to make it sound plausible.

Q: With what kind of emotion did you sing?

Yuujirou: LOVE&KISS is a song from Haniwa-san, not only directed to those who listen but also to us who are singing it. I think it is a message song for everyone and the kind of song that not only gives you enjoyment and encouragement but also a push on your back. The lyrics are also quite sharp. “Kamisama mo damarasero”, for instance, is immobilizing (laughs).

Aizou: When this song was handed to us, I thought it might be a challenge to us from Haniwa-san. At the time when our secret story formation was screened, I felt like we were being tested, “How much of the real you can you show thru singing?”. Yuujirou and I talked; and (as if I’m) enduring a head-to-head game, I sang with everything I had. Because otherwise, it wouldn’t be conveyed (properly).

Yuujirou: Of course, I sang all of the songs so far with complete earnestness, but in ‘LOVE&KISS’ and with thoughts of what we once were, I poured all I had. I’d be glad if you’ll listen to (the song) a lot.

Q: What kind of song is the ending theme “Kono Sekai no Tanoshimikatta”

Aizou: I felt seriously touched. I almost cried while singing (laughs). In the intro, I’m already “Ah- crap- this is gonna be bad-”. The strings part summed it all up so beautifully and somehow it felt like a wrap-up.

Yuujirou: You talk about the nuances too much (laughs). But I understand. Singing or listening to it, you’ll feel great either way.

Aizou: I know right!? Yuujirou started singing first. And huh, I was deeply moved. What an amazing gentle voice.

Yuujirou: Oh. Thank you. (laughs). But I felt really nervous. The breathing, the length of the note, the more particular you are about it, changes the song. I sang drawing out the heart of each and every note.

Q: Please tell us your favorite line(s) of this song as well.

Yuujirou: It is Aizou’s part but there is this line before the first chorus, “yokubatte ii amaete mo ii, waratta bun dake sekai wa tanoshimerun da yo”. This part certainly stuck.

Aizou: Eh, my line not yours? Why?

Yuujirou: These lyrics are words you wouldn’t normally say, right. Like, anything can be forgiven. And in addition, the way Aizou sang (this part) is exceptionally good. The “waratta bun dake” for instance. I wasn’t even aware what kind of expression he made when he sang this part.

Aizou: Yeah. I sang this song with the image of expressing both words and emotions in mind, so perhaps I was laughing.

Yuujirou: *I am glad you were smiling. Really.

Aizou: Oh. Thank you.

Yuujirou: And Aizou’s favorite line is

Aizou: Oh. Right. It’s difficult to choose from this song as well~ I think the “toki ni kizutsuke yume no tame ni, kesshite oreyashinai, ishi ga areba ii”. It makes my heart feel lighter when I think that the negative things and being hurt for the sake of my dream can be a positive too. I feel relieved knowing there is nothing wrong even when I’m hurt. It is frustrating when some things don’t go well when I’m doing my best; but hearing that it’ll be alright makes me happy.

Q: Delivering the best two songs to Julietta and there is also the LIVE part of the film. What kind of LIVE will it be?

Yuujirou: It’ll be the best anyhow, so please look forward to it. The stage set is wonderful and we’ve thought about the production a lot.

Aizou: The stage is really big. We can dance as much as we want. We are looking forward to it, too; we can’t keep still. And in addition, you can see us from various angles, and our ups (improvements) are shown. It is a LIVE that will take place in a movie theatre so we want you to enjoy watching it to your heart’s content!

Yuujirou: Anyway, I want to do the LIVE soon! I am confident you will absolutely enjoy it.

Q: You have released new songs not too long ago but do you have any hopes of “I want to sing this kind of song” someday?

Aizou: On the contrary, I want to ask Julietta what kind of song they want. I’d like to hear it, but personally, I want to try singing a guitar rock song with a powerful chord that would blow you away.

*Yuujirou: I am glad you were smiling.

Literally, the line is, I am glad you had a huge feeling of smiling. I can’t seem to properly convert this statement into English with its full context. Basically the context is, Yuujirou is glad that Aizou, during the recording of “waratta bun dake”, feels so happy that the feeling of it comes out to a great extent and that huge amount of happiness paints his face.

(ha ha aizou forgets they have an ongoing interview the moment yuujirou says he’s happy that aizou’s happy *screams*)

October 22nd is Minako Aino/Sailor Venus’s birthday!

So how can you celebrate?

♀ Rewatch or reread your favourite Venus-centric chapter, episode, or musical! She might’ve been the last of the Sailor Team to be introduced, but she was actually the first Sailor Soldier ever - Sailor V. Prominent 90s anime episodes include episode 036, one of the earliest Venus-centric episodes, where she take Usagi out for a haircut to cheer her up; episode 042, where we finally learn of Minako’s (anime-canon) past working in London as Sailor V with her mentor, Katarina; episode 078, where the rest of the Sailor Team falls ill with a mysterious flu and it’s up to Minako to “help” nurse them to health; episode 100, where an old unrequited flame gets Minako rethinking her life goals and considers quitting her duty as a Sailor Soldier; episode 114, where Minako gets a shot at becoming a real idol, but has to compete with the villain Mimete; episode 141, where Minako goes on two dates at the same time and reaps the reward of her own hubris; and episodes 175 and 192, where Minako gets even closer to realising her idol dreams with some industry experience.

Did you know Minako has her very own manga series? In fact, it was written before the Sailor Moon manga even existed! Codename: Sailor V is much shorter, more comedic, and action-oriented than PGSM, and elaborates not only on Minako’s character and role before meeting the other Guardians but also the history of the Silver Millennium and the Dark Kingdom. If you were disappointed with Minako’s under-utilised role in the 90s anime, now is the perfect time to give the 2003 live-action a shot, where she has a much more prominent and plot-heavy role.

♀ Indulge in some of Minako’s favourite foods! Minako is living that carb life, as her faves are ramen, gyoza (potsticker dumplings), and curry rice. Order out or challenge yourself to cooking them from scratch - just don’t include any mushrooms, which are Minako’s least favourite food.

♀ Minako is a very goal-oriented person, even if she’s not always the most focused, and many of her hobbies revolve around her dream of becoming an idol. Topmost, of course, is singing! She’s loved to sing and dance ever since she was a child. Learn a new dance routine - YouTube is a great start - or go clubbing with some friends. Minako is also particularly relevant to karaoke in the live action; why not gather a group and hit a karaoke bar?

Minako’s pride and joy is her long, silky hair, which she takes great care of. If yours is in need of some TLC, treat it to a fancy hair mask, or make your own from simple ingredients. Alternatively, if you’ve been looking for a sign to make a drastic hairstyle change, chop, or colour, this might be that sign, as Minako is a huge advocate for how changing your hairstyle can change your outlook.

She might not seem the type, but Minako has also been shown to enjoy knitting. Maybe she uses these skills to contribute to her massive collection of stuffed toys? Pick up those needles and finish that project you’ve been putting off or learn how to start from some videos or a local meet-up. If you’re an expert, you could even try a Sailor Moon pattern.

Minako is a video game junkie, which makes sense, considering her alter-ego stars in one. She seems particularly fond of racing games, but also side-scrollers and fighting games; why not give a new indie title a try, or play as Minako herself in one of the many retro Sailor Moon games for the Super Nintendo and other systems? (Personally, my favourite is this arcade brawler.)

After being an idol, and (maybe) her duty as a Guardian, Minako’s highest priority is volleyball. She had an incredible talent for the game even before discovering her super-human abilities as Sailor V. Why not hire some equipment for a casual game with some friends on the beach? (Though Minako wouldn’t judge you if you just played virtual volleyball instead.)

♀ Dress like Minako for a day! She had the widest variation in fashion styles amongst the show’s characters, ranging from sporty, to preppy, to “cool”, to girlish, to eccentric high fashion. In colder weather she loved scarves and oversized jackets, but in warmer weather she opted for simple, breezy, minimalist looks. She favoured vests, and shorts/flowy, non-restrictive skirts so she was always ready to leap into action. The consistent element linking her different styles is her tendency to layer, layering jackets over vests over turtlenecks, layering necklaces over sun-dresses over summery blouses, etc.

Her one mainstay accessory was her iconic red hair-bow, though she actually did swap it out to coordinate it with her outfit at times, and it was a pale yellow when she was a Princess. She started wearing the ribbon to impress a boy, but after he turned out to be a monster - uh, literally - she decided to keep wearing it because she liked it; so if something you used to love wearing has been tainted by a toxic relationship, you can Love and Beauty Shock it into something you wear for yourself. (By the way, before she wore the bow, she used a simple red scrunchie.)

As Sailor Venus, she started with simple yellow/orange studs that later became red and wore orange flats (often styled as d’orsays) with ankle-straps. Her nail polish was a fresh tangerine, and in her attack Love and Beauty Shock we can see she wears a pale orange/coral/peach lipgloss. Her image colours are orange, yellow, and a navy blue accent.

... And of course, Minako never missed an opportunity to go big or go home; so if you have an over-the-top campy stage costume just lying around...

Noguchi Yume’s & Sakamoto Marin’s blogs

It’s interesting when you see some kids saying the member they like is not the one in Senbatsu, but the one who shines in theater. Yeah, these kids aren’t just ordinary kids who want to be an idol. They are true fans who want to be a part of something they long for...for me, these kids are so worth supporting. Sakamoto Marin is the kid I’m talking about. She said in her first Showroom for 8th gen audition that her oshi is Yumechi, one of the “theater goddess” of Team S.

As you all know, Yumechi will graduate soon. She wrote her blog to this important junior, Marin-chan, as she knows this girl is her fan and she’s thankful for her. This blog is so touching. Marin also wrote reply in her Kenkyusei blog. It’s good to see this kind of interaction between senior and junior, I can feel the warmth overflowing through their blogs. *tears*

So, that’s why I translated their blogs here.

From the beginning till the end, there's only 1 junior who said "Senpai that I admire is Noguchi Yume-san"

She's really earnest. She also came to handshake events, I remeber her. Maybe, she also commented on my G+...?

I am happy that she entered as 8th gen. but on the other hand, I'm graduating. Since I already decided at that time, I feel sorry for her.

However, I always think that if there's a junior says 'Yume-san is Senpai whom I admire', I would be so happy. For making my dream comes true, I appreciate it. I'm sooooo happy (^^)

Thank you for always greeting me with nervous face.

Eventhough I start conversation, I wouldn't have much to talk. *laugh* But, I'm happy that there's a junior who adores me entered(SKE)

Born on the 2nd of February 2002, Was born in the winter? (Marin ーー !!) ← Please say this! Yeah (* ^^) v I will make everyone smiles. Junior high third grade, 14 years old I'm Sakamoto Marin (* ^^ *)

On the date of 24th, it was Yosshi's (Kitagawa Yoshino) 16th birthday! Happy birthday!!

Since we went to Hazumisaki together, we began to talk quite often. From now on, let's be a close friend!!

I'm going to chang the topic here. The day before yesterday, Yakata Miki-san and Noguchi Yume-san announced graduation.

Miki-san taught me about theater rules and the points I should concern when I got to appear as backdancer. Thank you so much! During the time left, please take care of me.

And for Yume-san, congratulations on your acceptance to university!

Though I knew I will have to say it someday but...

Actually, when I was in junior high 1st grade, I didn't feel the school is fun.

However, the love for SKE wasn't changed. On the day off, I got energetic when going to stages and events.

Since spring of my 2nd grade, I started to have fun at school. (I'm not going to graduate now though I like school. Please don't worry. *laugh*)

As Yume-san could return to normal life, I got courage from that.

If I didn't come to like SKE, If I didn't know Yume-san, I wouldn't have been able to have fun at school, I wouldn't have entered SKE.

So, I really have to thank Yume-san a lot.

I'm happy that she also wrote about me in her blog.

As Yume-san wrote in her blog, I did commented on her G+.

I always get nervous when I talk to her. I couldn't get the word right, I'm sorry.

That you feel sorry for me, it's great that I could help make your dream comes true! Thank you so much.

it may be difficult but I also want to stand on the same stage with you.

I will do as best as I can.

SKE48's 2nd album "Kakumei no oka" will be released on February 22!

And regular edition events were decided.

January 28 (Sat) and 29 (Sun) Port Messe Nagoya (it's tomorrow!)

February 11 (Sat) and 12 (Sun) Makuhari Messe

The activities is now decided. regular edition events will have;

・capricuous stage ・haunted house handshake ・badminton ・winter physical test ・2nd album special poster exchange ・strike out ・air soccer goal ・basketball

there are also attrations such as 2-shot and signing as winning prize! Personally, I want to be responsible for basketball because I'm in basketball club. I talk with Ishiguro Yuzuki-chan and Nomura Miyo-chan that I want to do it!
