Heir Vote Round 2

Contestants - So a new challenger enters the fray! Felipe Navarro! Little brother to Marcos and son to Alonso Navarro and Ines Pliego but that’s not all, Martina Arnal also enters the battle! She is the cousin to Marcos and Felipe and the daughter to Marisol and Anthony Arnal! So yes! The battle heats up and we will have a few more soon as babies turn into toddlers! 

For those confused as to why Martina is in this it is because everyone on the family tree is a potential heir! Marisol being Ines’ sister means Marisol’s children are also potential heirs! They are wildcards! They might have less of a chance since we have not even seen Toddler Martina in story yet (but we will see her eventually I am sure!) but maybe something about them appeals to you!?

Voting The results will be ranked voting and so how it works is every round the prize goes up. The first round the prize is only 2 points, so the winner gets 2 points and the loser gets 0. When another toddler is introduced the prize goes up to 3 points, the winner gets 3 points and 2nd place gets 2 points and 3rd gets 0. This continues until the last heir is introduced. Any ties and the participants will split the points. So if there are 4 contestants 1st and 2nd are tied they will split the prize of points and get 2 points each. If there are ties in the final poll then I will break the tie! So every heir should have a chance although yes the sooner a heir is introduced the better the chance of that heir winning since we’ll naturally know more about them. Here’s part two of our heir(ess) vote! I love all of our choices for the heir(ess) of our next generation, and I hope you like the approach I’m taking with the next generation! I like to do something different each time, so I thought it would be fun to have an heir(ess) with a storyline entwined with that of a sibling!

Thanks again for another early heir(ess) vote, but this allows me to get the rest of the story sorted for our heir(ess) and spares!

Reed Quick ~

Music has always coursed through Reed’s veins! Growing up, Reed has always found music soothing. As a toddler, she was constantly picked on by her older sister, Jazz, who was jealous of the attention she was getting when she was first welcomed into the family. Music became her safe space. Even if Reed couldn’t understand the words, she could feel the emotions behind the lyrics to any song. Her level of understanding through her empathic alien abilities meant that Reed quickly levelled up all her skills when she was a toddler and through her childhood years. She continues to be an overachiever to this day!

Although Reed uses music as an escape, she also has a small support network in the form of her little brother, Glitch. The two have been best friends since they were toddlers and she wouldn’t know where she would be without her brother! He’s confident and sociable, bringing her out of her shell. Reed knows she needs to branch out and meet other people, but she’s kinda clumsy and fumbles over her words a lot, making her a bit socially awkward. Glitch helps her find a few friends, but she’d rather hang out with sims she trusts - her siblings. 

Wanting some independence and to push herself, Reed has a job as a barista. Learning to deal with tough customers improves her self confidence and makes her stand up for herself, lessons she had needed to learn since she was young. Music was once her escape, but now becomes a hobby she associates with positive things too!

Upon ageing up into a young adult, Reed moves in with her brother, Glitch, wondering how to best approach a career in music. She thinks she should study, but her little brother encourages her to make an impulsive decision with him - joining a talent contest! Will the brother and sister duo launch into stardom with their risky decision?

Glitch Quick ~

Glitch may be the youngest of five siblings, but sims find it hard to see the age difference between him and his relatives! The five Quick siblings, Cara, Jazz, Bell, Reed and Glitch have had their ups and downs, due to varying interests and personalities, but they always have each other’s backs. Glitch is always the first to jump in and support a friend or family member. His bro trait makes him a brother-figure to any sim, sociable, confident and protective.

As the youngest in the family, Glitch hasn’t fallen into the trap like his other siblings of feeling like he needs to achieve as much as they do. He’s a top student and has lots of friends, but doesn’t stress himself out about his work. His mothers, Zeta and Esme, love their children so much, with no expectations for their life choices. As long as Glitch and his siblings are happy, then Glitch’s parents will support them no matter where they go in life!

Always inspired by his big sister and best friend, Reed, Glitch follows her passion for music and desire for independence. Self confidence comes more naturally to him than his sister, so getting a job will be a great way to meet new sims! Glitch gets a job in retail, working in a record shop. Due to his charismatic personality, Glitch draws lots of new customers to the shop! Many of them are his classmates, some wanting to be his friend and others with crushes on him! Glitch becomes known as the heartthrob of the school, an attractive sim both inside and outside!

Upon ageing up into a young adult, Glitch wants to continue his career in music. He’s starting from the bottom - a retail employee at a record store - but wants to be top of the charts one day! The sensible way to get a career in music would be to study and work hard, but Glitch is confident he can take a shortcut to stardom! Now living with his big sister, Reed, he asks her something daring - join a talent contest with him to win the chance of a record contract! Will the Quick sibling duo cut corners and become and international sensation?

Even though Tiger Lily was technically a single kid, she still felt like she lived in the shadow of her adoptive sister Midnight due to her illness. During her childhood, her parents were constantly in and out of the hospital with her sister and she was left much to herself. It’s really strange how forgotten a child can be - even when they are longed for and loved. By the time she turned 18 her younger sister had become so ill that she had to have a personal assistant to relieve their parents. That’s when Mustard pretty much moved in with them. By that time he was young, full of hope and happiness and Tiger Lily who was just a few years younger than him and who had lived her entire life in the darkness surrounding Midnight’s disease fell instantly. 

When Midnight eventually passed awawy, Tiger Lily and Mustard comforted each other and as the weeks and months passed by they were soon an official couple. It was their love, as well as her own painting that got her through the inital grief of losing a sister. But it was the loss of her sister that made her painting career really take off. Yet, no matter all the good things that happened in her life - she would gladly switch it all to get her sister back.

Tiger Lily and Mustard had four children of their own: Canary, Pumpkin, Cinnamon and Sundance.

Adair just had his birthday (and I need to start a new save file) so it's time for the first heir voting in the Alphabet Legacy! Here are some short descriptions of the three! Adora dreams of becoming a pro ghost hunter. She doesn't mind getting scared every now and then - she's kind of a daredevil, and she's a bit eccentric, anyway. She hates modern technology and loves to spend time outside, preferably with other sims. She's strong and independent, but would love to have a family of her own one day, too.

Ambrose wants to become a chess master. He's very smart, charismatic and friendly. He loves to meet new people (especially women!) and to hang out in trendy spots. Everything comes easy for him, as he's a lucky sim! It does not pair up well with his absent-mindedness, though!

Adair is the most creative of the siblings. He is a very good guitar player and a brush master, already making some nice money out of his paintings. He can sleep through anything, and he loves to munch on a good snack. Adair likes to keep everything around his nice and neat, and can't stand sims that make a mess around themselves.

...is Lady Boudica, her first born! She won by 50%, her siblings both got 25% each of the vote.

She's going to be a bit more fun than her mother I think!

Émile Gustaf Park

17-year-old Émile Gustaf is the reason his parents married so young.

As a child he loved to partake in adult conversations, and he took a lot of inspiration from his uncle Constantine's love of philosophy and science.

When Émile Gustaf turned 10 his family scraped together the resources to send him to school in Stockholm, far away from the rest of his family.

This distance has given him opportunities he would never had otherwise, and it has also led to him becoming a very independent and opinionated young man.

He went against his father's wishes to study to be a barber-surgeon instead of trying to get into university, and he has yet to let anyone but Eugene Anifas know.

What will happen when the truth does come out? And where might the life of a barber-surgeon lead him? Will he be in Stockholm for the rest of his life, or may he someday return to his old home?

Eugene Anifas Park

14 year-old Eugene Anifas was a twin, but he lost his twin only a few months after he was born.

Even as a child Eugene Anifas often worried what being a twinless twin meant for him. He often felt that he was living in the shadow of someone he'd never known, and this caused him a lot of anxiety.

Growing up seeing his father's harsh temper and the chaos from his mother's affair unfortunately only worsened Eugene Anifas' anxiety.

His only escape a lot of the time has been music. His love of piano dominates, but song and violin are beloved as well. In truth if he could escape everything and just play music, he would do so.

But with his older brother elsewhere Eugene Anifas is expected to follow in his father's footsteps and become a bell-ringer, and he has never had the chance to stop and think about what he wants.

Is Eugene Anifas doomed to always live in other people's shadows, or will he find a way to break free? Is there a way to balance the expectations of others and his own joy?

Iliana Dorothea Park

12-year-old Iliana Dorothea is the only girl of the family, and has been very doted on as a result.

She's always been closest to her father Joseph, who takes every opportunity to spoil her.

She's always been a very confident young girl, both as a child and now, and she will probably always be. Perhaps she can be a bit bossy at times, but her heart is in the right place.

Iliana Dorothea was the one to discover and reveal her mother's affair, and while she was too young to fully understand what happened what little she did understand was that her mother had done something that had hurt her father.

As a result Iliana Dorothea, despite taking after her mother in many ways, holds a grudge against her mother and resents her a great deal.

Will Iliana Dorothea always favour her father? Is there a chance she might reconcile with her mother? And will her gender halt or hinder her as she finds her way in the world?

Charles Elias Park

11-year-old Charles Elias is the youngest child in the family, and while he might not know it there is some uncertainty about who his father is.

Is it Joseph, the stern bell-ringer? Or is it Theodore, the kind-hearted farmhand?

Charles Elias doesn't know it, but the older members of his immediate family have their own (separate) suspicions.

Regardless, Charles Elias has thus far grown up mostly unaffected by the affair. He loves his mother very much, and has a habit of trying to cheer her up on days when she is sad.

He loves playing with his siblings, especially his older sister. Although the two may not always get along perfectly, they never stay mad at each other for very long.

Being the youngest has afforded Charles Elias many privileges his other siblings haven't had. He isn't monitored as closely as some of his older siblings are, and he is often allowed to spend his free time however he chooses without too much concern for chores or responsibilities.

That's not to say he's spoiled or lazy, he's a very neat person, but he has more freedom to move around than others.

But although all may seem calm and peaceful now, that is not a guarantee things will remain that way.

Will Charles Elias ever find out what truly happened between his mother and Theodore? And who really is his father?

Jazz Quick ~

Growing up, Jazz has always struggled with finding her place in the world. As the second oldest of five siblings, Jazz struggled to find her role in her huge family. She’s very close to her twin sibling, Bell, feeling that they have an unbreakable bond. However, she’s always tested that relationship - whether intentionally or unknowingly. Upon the arrival of her younger siblings, Reed and Glitch, Jazz couldn’t cope with so many sims around her. She started acting out, realising that her angry antics got her the attention she craved. 

The trouble in the household almost tore the Quick family apart, but as she matured, Jazz started to take accountability for her actions. She’s made up with her younger siblings, bringing the family back together. With the neat and gloomy traits, Jazz has a lot of emotions to process all the time, so felt so bad that she was pushing her support network away without realising it. Her family stood by her, no matter her actions, and she’s grateful to have a large family now.

Now that Jazz is a teenager, she’s developed a curiosity about her alien heritage. All aliens have special abilities, leading Jazz to gain an interest in all things to do with occults. She’s started to push her boundaries again, but not to spite her family, but rather to explore the huge world around her. Trespassing, pranking objects to test emotions - nothing is beyond Jazz’s limits. Jazz wants to be a good representation of her alien lineage. She wants to show the world how amazing her species is - through art, music, culture - anything to show the diversity of Sixam’s residents!

When she becomes a young adult, Jazz follows her twin sibling, Bell, to university to study music, wanting to show sims on her course about her alien culture! However, will a music degree be enough for her ambitions, or does she need to do something more? Bell Quick ~

Unlike their twin sibling, Jazz, Bell has always been confident in themselves. A naturally curious mind, Bell loves discovering new things. Whether that’s the traits of other sims, or picking up new skills, Bell is good at anything they put their mind to! 

Self expression has always been at the forefront to Bell’s personality. They’ve explored their gender identity, finding themselves most comfortable not conforming to any gender. With confidence in themselves, they’ve found numerous interests - singing, acting and writing poetry. If there’s a way for Bell to express themselves, they’re going to master that skill and own it! Their bubbly, outgoing personality means they’re very popular at school, able to make friends easily! They’re at the top of the drama club, landing lead roles in many plays. Their favourite acting gigs are musicals, where they can show off their acting and singing skills!

However, beneath the bold personality, lies a squeamish, geeky sim and who always tries to be bigger than they feel. This can lead them to being a bit full on, but as long as someone is smiling, Bell will always be unapologetically them!

Upon ageing up, Bell focuses on which of their skills will get them a good career. Whilst they love acting, gigs can be unreliable, so they go to university with their twin sister, Jazz, to study music. However, their twin sister, Jazz, can be a huge influence in their life. Jazz breaks boundaries whilst discovering what she wants from life. Will Jazz influence Bell to be bold, throwing caution to the wind and to follow their dreams?

As Portobella and Agaricus are all grown up, now it’s time to choose the heir! Read up their short descriptions and choose your favourite! The voting will last until 6th of October.

Portobella looks a lot like her mother, but does not share much of her character traits or hobbies. She is an excitable, always smiling sim with a romantic soul, but she is very clumsy and often breaks things around her. She is used to clean up the mess her insane mom does, so she grew up to also be a neat sim. Bella does not like physical activities and is a couch potato. Her favourite colours are pink and pale yellow. She likes painting and writing, so she would like to master those skills and become the Illustrious Author.

Agaricus, on the other hand, looks more like their father, Stiles. Just like his mother he enjoys fishing and dreams of having a perfect private aquarium with all sorts of interesting fishes there. He is a brave sim that will always stand up to bullying. He is a bit grumpy, though, so sometimes he is the irritable one. He may be an adult, but he’s still very childish and does not think seriously of any adult commitments. His favourite colours are seafoam green and grey.

Watson Gen 1 Recap

i want to post my sims legacy a bit but I’ve played a whole gen and there’s drama and chaos that nobody knows so I’m here to explain! i randomly roll traits and a lot of this drama is either the game or generated via mods! 

Generation One

meet Everly Watson! she is my founder! moved to Oasis Springs with her only child in hopes of supporting her child as a single mom. she had a brief stint as a detective before quitting her jobs in pursuit of a future in the culinary arts due to her natural talents in cooking. she is adventurous, family oriented, and loves dogs. She met Ian Sauer, and they fell in love and eloped in no time! They started having a family together, and ian stayed at home, to caretake for the kids and the home, this worked out due to him being kind of a freegan. he is also a bit jealous, though. 

Alongside, Clementine, Everly’s first born child, they had 3 more daughters, Hawthorne, Aspen, and Elm. They lived as a big happy family until Everly found out she was pregnant with another kid; one she didn’t want but ian did. Ultimately, she decided to keep the baby, Clover, but in disagreements with Ian about raising Clover, the two separated and divorced. 

It wasn’t until all the four oldest daughters were adults and clover were a preteen that Everly and Ian started talking again and decided to get remarried. Since the eloped the first time, in their old age they had the wedding of their dreams in Tartosa, where she found the Bakery location of her dreams and opened Watson Bakery. 

Clementine Watson or Clem is the first-born child of Everly. Growing up, Clem felt like she belonged amongst her step sisters and really got along with Ian. Clem earned all A’s in school, and was a good mannered, responsible child who mediated fights between her siblings. She is outgoing, and romantic, and a dog lover.  She went to college during her parents separation, getting a degree in physics and then moving back home after getting a job in Mechanical Engineering, as an Artisian of Apparatuses. Clem is single handedly working on keeping the family together despite sibling rivalries and interpersonal drama. 

Hawthorne had a rebellious streak that has yet to end! She is self-absorbed, glutton, and a snob she ended up dropping out of high school. She moved out as soon as she could, but discovered that her irresponsibility, bad manners, and uncontrolled emotions made it hard for her to keep any jobs. she ended up losing her job and moving into a renovated trailer on an old lot that Everly originally bought for a future Watson bakery. Being talented in programming and logic, Hawthorne then attempted to hold a position as a secret agent, which quickly failed. While in a bit of a pinch for money to pay bills, Hawthorne got a call from a distant relative offering inheritance that could only go to a married sim. Hawthorne ended up proposing to her casual girlfriend, Kalyn Newton, who agreed mistaking the commitment to be much more serious than it was. 

Clover Watson was the unwanted fifth and final daughter Ian and Everly had. Being much younger than Clem, Hawthorne, Aspen, or Elm, Clover had a lonely childhood. Her relationship with her mom was pretty rocky, and she was the only kid in her family who had to deal with being a child of divorce. Due to this, Clover isn’t really close with any one in her family, except Clem, who made an effort to keep all of the family together. Clover is a Foodie, but has a mildly unrefined palate, and has dreams of being a famous pastry chef. However, she usually isn’t allowed in the bakery due to her lack of cooking skills, so the job usually goes to Hawthorne. She also has hobbies watching movies with a club of friends, Yuki Behr and Darling Walsh in the backyard movie hang out they made together.
