And the day of the mass is upon us!

First of all, Rei is also a REALLY good artist and the fact she hand-drew variations of the posters overnight? WOW. (It seems only a day has passed?)

The offscreen loud packing tape noise causes Rei to realize she and Luna are not alone... Minako seriously went out of her way to FIND Rei and then chose to just sneak up on Rei like a ninja. lol

How the heck did Rei and Luna both not realize they aren't alone anymore? You'd think Luna's be more careful to make sure no one knows she's not just a plushie?

Love that Minako is in full Senshi mode here, didn't even bother toying with Rei about the posters but jumped right into prompting Rei to think about the Youma's motive. And the fact she asked the question first instead of giving Rei the answer immediately I think is a sign she wants to start coaching Rei into thinking quicker and better as a Senshi, for Rei to do what Minako has learnt to do already.

And their silent back and forth with intense eye contact, Minako just knocking her knuckles by the word "mass" and the near-immediate concerned understanding that showed in Rei's eyes? Chef kiss! Those two really don't need words to get don't the same page, when they aren't at odds with each other.

But... Luna really sticks out like a sore thumb here, why is she needed in this scene? And is she not shocked to see the idol Usagi follows just randomly chatting up to them about the supernatural monsters??? Why is no one handling the introductions and why is Luna not reacting? This is def a plot hole that I don't know how to reconcile.

Side note, I had to translate the information Rei wrote down, it's really nice and also funny that she included the fact the dog's nickname is "Taro" lol

Minako's banner is too zoomed out for me to see if she wrote "nickname: Riki" lol

Oh my oh my! This is a very no-no question!

Honestly, I am obligated to say that all 5 seasons have been released on DVD and Blu Ray and are easy to find on Amazon etc etc and that doesn’t help people like me where amazon doesn’t deliver!

You can also IN THEORY watch them on the VIZ website? But again that’s not something I can access from my country!!!

For the 90s anime!

This is the most iconic of the Sailor Moon media! And the one most people know and are familiar with. It’s usually the first thing people think of when they think of “Sailor Moon”. There’s 200 episodes spread across 5 seasons (the first season, R,S, Super S, and Sailor Stars)

This site has all episodes both dubbed and if you scroll down a little you get the subbed versions as well.

DO NOT WATCH THE DUB!!! This is the original 90s dub and it’s.... not good....

For the movies!

If you want to starts with the 3 movies instead just to see if you’d like the show, none of them are as good as the show but it’s how I first got into the whole thing so they can’t be THAT bad! The first one is the most iconic but the second movie (S) is probably acknowledged as the best of the three. They’re kind of disconnected from the show so you need to know very little going in and it doesn’t spoil anything in the show itself nor do you need to watch the movies to watch the show.

For the manga!

The source material that most adaptations are based on (although most modern versions tend to rely a little more on the 90s anime as... let’s be honest... the anime had much better ideas in a lot of places) There are several places where you can find the manga, however, unlike a mass manga website, I recommend a Sailor Moon specific site which will have given much more care to the translation of the material.

For the Live action series! (PGSM)

I was a fool for ever thinking the live action series would be bad just because the effects are terrible and the CG is laughable and they made Luna a plushie. It’s turning out to be a GREAT version of the story! I wouldn’t start with this one at all, but I really do HIGHLY recommend checking it out because it’s writing and characters are far better than they have any right to be in all honesty.

PGSM has never seen an official translation.

You can find fan subbed episodes at both Miss Dream as well as Sea of Serenity. They have different translated versions of the show so you can pick which one you like. (I’m watching the Miss Dream subs but I’m following a blog whose watching the Sea of Serenity subs and both are good)

For the Crystal Reboot!

I actually don’t recommend this one, but I’m gonna mention it anyway because it DOES have its fans. (but again... I... I don’t recommend this one at all X’D)

It’s only done the first 3 seasons of the story and honestly only season 3 is considered passable to me. Season 4 is gonna be released next year as a movie (or 2 movies? It’s unclear).

The reboot was supposed to be a manga-accurate adaptation rather than the 90s show which did a lot of its own thing (for better and worse). However, poor animation quality, weird changes to the story, and making the girls lose a lot of their personality and turning Usagi into someone who is more a damsel in distress than anything, it’s not a great version of the story. I’m only mentioning it out of obligation tbh.

Although apparently Season 3 isn’t so bad. But still :/

For the Stage Musicals! (Sera Myu)

The Stage Musicals are a funny thing, being not canon to any of the other versions. Sometimes they tell stories from specific arcs in the manga, sometimes they tell story that don’t feature anywhere else, sometimes they’re about the Sailor Senshi fighting Dracula and Adam’s first wife Lilith who want to turn the world into vampires. Dude I don’t even know XD

I wouldn’t recommend starting here either, as these are more like fun bonus content than anything else.

HOWEVER, the Musicals have something that none of the other versions had, which is “La Soldier” which all Sailor Moon fans are required by law to lose their shit over.

(La Soldier is BRIEFLY in the anime but it was not used to its full potential)

Sea of Serentiy has the more detailed break down of the musicals by year, distributor, and theater/idol group.

I am the least knowledgeable about Sera Myu so I’ll have to leave that over to them. Little to no Sera Myu shows have been released with official subs.

There is also the ice show but that’s been delayed to next year because of the... troubles.

And there’s a bunch of other stuff too like the SNES game and drama CDs and stuff but I think that starts getting off topic.

I know this is a super long explanation to a simple question but I wanted to be thorough because although the 90s anime is generally the go-to, there are people who prefer other versions more.

First time I watched Sera Myu was probably 2009?(I can’t remember because it was so long ago xD but somewhere between 2008-2010) but I didn’t really like the few ones I watched so I stopped. But couple years after(probably 2012?) I watched Kaguya Shima Densetsu and I it was amazing and I fell in love. After that I watch few Myus but it kinda died again but after watching Un Nouveau Voyage in 2015 I got back on track and here I am xD

2) The 1st musical you saw? It was either Black Lady Kaiteiban or Mugen Gakuen. Can’t really remember for sure but probably Black Lady K xD

3) Your favourite musical? Eien Densetsu Kaiteiban <333 no matter how many times I watch it, it is awesome overtime and I cry my eyes out during the graduation

4) Your favourite Sailor Moon actress? Miyukiiiiii <3

5) Say one positive thing about every Moon actress. Anza - REALLY awesome singing voice and I love Head Phones President <3 Fumina - She is the most elegant and beautiful.(One reason why I loved KSD was because of how beautiful Fumina was) Miyuki - She played both Sailor Moon and Usagi 10/10 Marina - She had the best singing voice and dayum those dance moves Satomi - sweet bubbly Usagi <3 Hotaru - She just radiates positive energy when on stage and she seems so happy all the time <3

(I haven’t spend that much time in Sera Myu community so I’m not really sure what is unpopular opinion and what is not xD) I actually prefer Karen over Kanon xD And I’m not big Riona fan(I actually LOVED her Rubeus and was really surprised when I heard that Rubeus was played by woman. She did it really well. But her Taiki wasn’t that good imo :/)

16) Ai no Starshine or Music of the Spheres? OMG I love them both so much but Ai no Starshine gets the win because I can listen to it so many times but not get bored of it. I even learned the dance xD

17) The Last Change or it’s 21st Century version? Probably 21st version

18) Choubi Uranus to Neptune or Harsh Saint Cry? Choubi because it’s so catchy!

19) Is there something about Myu what annoys you? The lack of recorded stuff during old Myu. And talking over songs during fankans

As it stands, these are the following pieces of merchandise available for sale. I have to work on setting up a new Paypal due to security issues, but it will be up sometime this weekend. For those who are interested, here is a little breakdown of each item:

Precure Merchandise

1. Go! Princess Precure: Cure Scarlet and Cure Twinkle (7″)

These are in very good condition and were barely messed with. Scarlet’s tag is still intact, but Twinkle’s is missing. eBay users are selling these for about $30 each. My offer: $25 (OR $45 for both)

2. Cure Ace and Cure Fortune (Fluffy Cure Friends; about 15″)

Both are in very good/like new condition. One of Ace’s cuffs have come loose over time, but is very minor. Fortune is somewhat not hard to find anywhere else (eBay has a few listings going for $25-$30). Ace, on the other hand, is rarer due to its age.

Fortune offer: $25

Ace offer: $89? No. I won’t sell it at such a ludicrous price. My offer stands between $35-$40.

3. Precure Mascots (Pop, Potpourri, and Lance)

These are being sold as a lot. Potpourri is a change purse plush (very cute and plushy); very good condition. Pop is like new; never used. Lance is in very good condition; has had stains but cleaned it recently.

4. Suite Precure (Kanade and Cure Muse; UFO catcher plush)

These were in very good condition; almost like new. Going for about $10 a piece on eBay.

Sailor Moon Merchandise

Outer senshi plushes (sans Saturn) + Small Lady (8″)

Yes, sadly; as much as I want to keep Puu, my bills and health come first. All four have tags (Pluto’s were taken off but kept in a safe area). Like new condition; never really played around with.

Sailor Moon Manga set (Shinzoban) + Bag

I have talked about this before, in another post, but there has been a change. If anyone is highly interested, read carefully.

Includes: Sailor V Vol. 1+2, Sailor Moon Vol. 1-12 +2 specials, and the 1999 Sailor Moon messenger bag.

Only read the manga once in completion, have never touched it since. Offers on eBay are going for as much as $200. These are being sold as a lot (will not sell individually or partial). I spent 11 fucking dollars on each of these DAMN manga volumes and $15 on the bag. That would have been almost 200 dollars right there, but I’m desperate and need them gone.

Love Live!

Jumbo Rin Hoshizora plush (40cm)

Very good condition. Used. Great to cuddle and snuggle with. Paid $45 for it on eBay (which was BS). Needs a new home, or else my nephew will destroy the darn thing.
