Rant about Naruto and Hinata’s ship
I will forever ride hard for NaruHina but yeah based on how the story develops it makes more than sense for Naruto and Sakura to be endgame.
I will delude myself into believing their marriage/relationship is meant to teach about first love and second love.
I know that as the protagonist everything should technically work in his favor. The hint of reality that not everything will go as you planned no matter how much you work, deserve it, or will end up with who you want gets hit on the head.
Sakura was a great comrade and friend to Naruto and a great person overall, makes sense why Naruto would love her.
Naruto did everything he could in his power to keep her happy and help her in every which way he could, laid down his life for her, professed his love to her and everyone who would listen, Naruto did everything someone would without a doubt would fall in love, especially having true love for her.
However, just because someone shows you genuine love and care it doesn’t obligate you or your heart to reciprocate those feelings.
It sucks.
I’ve personally been there.
But guess what, I fell in love with someone who loved me for years and years and showed me nothing but love, respect, and a great friendship even though I rejected them countless times in the past and now we’re married!
At a point you have to get up and go where you are loved the way you want to be loved, there’s no crime in it. There’s only so much you can do but it always takes two to tango. You can’t force someone to love you just because you go above and beyond for it.
I think that’s why I’m so attached to this specific fictional relationship because in reality it’s very possible to occur in real life and it has for me.
Loving someone after your first love or being heartbroken a ton of times doesn’t mean you “settle” or just take what you can get, it doesn’t take away value from the next person you fall in love with and possibly spend the rest of your life with.
I get Naruto is the protagonist and everyone wants him to end up with his first love but no one cheers for Hinata ending up with her first love.
That’s why it kind of irks me in some aspects that others view Hinata as the next best thing or Natuto’s second choice. Naruto never have Hinata false hope, he never stringed her along like a jerk, Naruto loved her as a friend and it’s possible to eventually see beyond platonic love.
Naruto could’ve easily gone out with any girl in any village because of the immense admiration everyone had for him and the constant confessions but he was able to still find genuine love for him in the right places with the right people that knew him before anyone ever did.
It also falls in part with that sometimes what you’ve been looking for all this time is right in front of you
I think i’ll end this now lol but thanks for whoever took the time to read this rant

may i request kiba nsfw headcanons and kakashi smut also ily lizzie mwah :33
Kiba NSFW HC’s
A/N: ily too anon!! So this is obv the Kiba NSFW and I’m currently working on a Kakashi smut. Also I combined this request with another one which was asking for Kiba w a biting / marking kink and I think that’s pretty spot on for him so I’ll just add that here as well!
I DID NOT PROOFREAD SO IM SORRY IF THERE IS ERRORS I JUST NEED TO POST SOMETHING LOL
Okay first things first, Kiba does not know how to be gentle.. like this fucker will really try okay, like he’ll try and kiss you softly, but it just gets him all flustered and before you know it your lips are bruised again. Same thing with sex like omfg he tries to make it savoury but his instincts just kick in and now you’re all bruised on the inside. He feels so bad afterwards, but you kind of like it and he can’t help it.
He’s a possessive little shit sometimes too. Like one time when you came home you smelled like Naruto and it got Kiba so pissed off lol. He’s like, “where’ve you been?” And you tell him you went to get ramen with Naruto and he’s being too pissy about it, which just leads to him fucking Narutos scent off of you and a shir ton of hickeys. That drive just makes his thrusts 10 times more aggressive and like you’re so worn out after because like I said, he cannot be gentle with regular sex so imagine just imagine the jealous sex..
Because he’s so possessive he always leaves marks on you. Like if you’re not marked up after a good fucking is that really Kiba laying next to you?
His favourite spot to leave marks is on your thighs. Likes when you wear skirts and you move your legs a certain direction, accidentally letting a few hickeys peek out. He gets a kick out of watching your flustered face as you desperately try and cover them.
When he’s eating you out, leading up to it he does a real good number on your thighs. They’re so soft and squishy and he’s biting them and sucking and licking and just he loses track of time, but your whimpers always snap him out of it. Then he gets down to business. He does the same thing with your tits and sometimes you have to claw at him to stop because it’s way too stimulating. He can’t be gentle so he’s sucking and biting down on your nipples like there is no tomorrow. PLUS!! He’s really good at massages so if your tits are sore afterwards he’ll make sure to rub them real nice for you.
Also like.. after he’s already did a number on your chest and you’re going at it again (like literally the next day because Kibas libido is >>>>) wear a lacey bra. His head will explode. He will go feral. Like He goes to lift your shirt off your head and then he has to pause at the sight of your tits because wow. They’re covered by this really fucking hot lacey white bra and hes drooling over how it contrasts with the purple and red marks he left all over you.. yah he’s a goner <3
As much as Kiba loves lingère on you, you don’t wear it for him very often. This is strictly because he always ruins the pieces. Once you wore this really cute matching set of a purple bra and panties and kiba ribbed the panties off you. Like straight up ripped them off you. In the moment you didn’t care because right after he ripped them off his dick was fucking you senseless, but the next morning you were pissed. He even managed to shred up the back of your bra. Like he just got irritated with the clasp and scratched it off you.
He doesn’t think it’s a big deal, lingère is hot and it’s meant to be ripped off you, right? Plus you can always buy a new set.. but when you show him the price tag after you’ve dug it out of the garbage his eyes pop out of his head. Who knew that small amount of fabric could cost so much??
Jealous sex is always the best. He just gets so worked up and he can go on for hours. If you piss him off enough he’ll be into orgasm denial, but for the most part he’s trying to show you how much better he is than whoever you tried to provoke him with, so he’ll try and make you cum as much as possible.
Anyway, I think Kibas loud in bed. I mean like I think he’s just the type to not care how loud he is?? Like he’s just horny and the only thing he’s thinking about is you. He wants to make sure that you’re loud too though. Don’t hold them back girl, let him hear it. Or don’t and he’ll try like 100 times harder to make you moan.
He groans a lot, but he also says dirty shit too and like I don’t think he even cares how dirty it is. Also he has a thing for claiming too, so expect a lot of talk with regards to that. “Taking by dick so well baby, so eager for me to claim you?” “You’re all mine.”
Uhm tbh I think you could just lay down forever and let Kiba just go at it.. like he just has so much energy that he doesn’t mind expelling it onto you. Of course he wouldn’t mind if you returned the favour every so often. Like don’t get me wrong he loves getting his dick sucked. More than most boys do.. and he also likes if you want to ride him too. Riding him is the best treat ever, bonus if you wanna dig your nails into his shoulders or chest. But for the most part he doesn’t mind doing majority of the work. He likes going down on you or just treating you because he gets so excited at the noises you make.
Kibas an ass and tits man. You cannot and will not change my mind. He likes cumming on them too LMFAOO. Like ok he likes cumming in you a lot — he has a breeding kink, but if you’re not into it or he’s not in the mood he’ll just let his load off on your tits. It doesn’t matter if he’s hitting from the back because he’ll just flip you over and finish himself off. Your ass works too though. You’ll scold him for doing it sometimes because he likes to make sure it’s all over your tits or your ass, but he’ll just shrug at your scolding and give you a smirk.
Okay back to the breeding kink omg.. let me collect myself for a second here.. Kiba is a dirty talker okay, but when he’s really getting into his breeding kink his dirty talk turns kinda soft?? “Look how pretty you are all filled up.” “You’re so gorgeous like this, so ready to have my kids.” I mean.. That’s pretty fucking nice man, I feel like he may also manage to be a tad bit gentle when he’s getting into the whole breeding thing, just because the idea of you having his kids makes him soft, but it just depends on his mood tbh. Sometimes he just flips a switch and just goes for hours like he’s on some next feral bullshit and other times he takes it a little slower.
I don’t think this really makes sense and I don’t really have much to go off of to prove this point but.. I think he’d be good at aftercare? Like he would always have to shower you in complinments after, please give him some too, “that was great babe, you did really good, so good.” Then he’ll help you clean up. He ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS, gets you a glass of water after sex. Probably drinks it halfway back to the bedroom and has to go and fill it up again, but the effort is what counts.
Uhm aftercare got me thinking of showers and now I think that he would also like shower sex. It’s kinda like what I said about kakashi in my NSFW headcanons for him, but I think Kiba would want to do it with you anywhere in your apartment: in the shower, on the bathroom sink, on the dinner table (WITH the dinner on it), on the coffee table, the couch... and do I really need to continue this? I think you all get it. It just ties into his claiming thing.
So when your friends are over and you’re eating snacks on the couch with pizza on the coffee table, it kinda makes him smirk because he’s like.. we did it on that coffee table lol
Also when either of you come home from mission, expect Kiba is gonna wanna fuck immediately. Like he’s not even halfway through the door but he’s taking his shirt off and telling you to do the same.
OKAY BUT HIS ORGASM FACE —
Ugh. Magnificent. Exquisite. Delectable. Like if he’s laying down, his head is titling back on the pillows, if he’s ontop his head is tilting down and all his fair falls in his face. He definitely squeezes his eyes shut and makes a little hissing sound, plus, he curses after. “Fuck, yeah right th-there.” “Shit, b-babe, I’m cumming.” Yes I believe he stutters when he cums. Don’t try me <3 AND ITS CUTE TOO. Okay also his mouth will fall open a little and it’s super hot because you can see his little canines peeking out.

I am whore knee for this man.

Adventures in Literary Criticism (2014)
Posted by Nacchi on behalf of young Cody. Ostensibly.
Ohayo gozaimatsu guys, Cody Uzumaki Kurosaki here with some literary criticism (yeah I'm a nerd xD)! The shady person who emails me sometimes asked me for my address, and when I told them I got a FREE book with a note saying I should review it. How cool is that! I should give people my address more often. So, here goes! I will ganbarimasu!
Let's start with the cover. It's so sugoi (cool for you amerika-hitos)
Tumblr media
There are like two katanas. I think more books should have katanas on the cover, like if Kokoro or Snow Country or No Longer Human had rad katanas maybe I would have read more than the first five pages. Spring Snow didn't even have a katana, and I heard its author was a samurai irl (plus it sucked, I read a whole chapter and there were no sword fights so I gave up. Worst samurai evar lol) Japanese "classic" books in general are dumb though, you've gotta read the good stuff like Sword Art Online. Anyway, back to this book.
Here, I'll "hit" you with the summary:
Reincarnated samurai Rileigh Martin may have just graduated high school, but she feels like there isn’t much to celebrate. Her boyfriend Kim doesn’t remember who she is, her past-life enemy Whitley has returned, and her future is unclear.
When Kim suddenly regains his memories, Rileigh is overjoyed—until she realizes that Sumi, a powerful, reincarnated ninja, has also regained her memories. In the aftermath of Sumi’s attack, Rileigh’s ki powers are draining away and the Network unexpectedly starts hunting her. With time running out, Rileigh must track down Sumi before her powers completely vanish and she’s forever seen as the enemy.
I think this is probably the best book I've ever read. I mean, it's a katana novel! I really like how the author makes it about samurais, but also manages to make the protagonist white and in modern america so I can relate. I like alot of Japanese stuff but the main character is usually Asian and it's like what about me? I'm a white student and it's not fair that I don't get representation! I tried to protest this once outside my local Sakura Hibachi and Sushi hoping that a mangaka would see me and realize my point, but they asked me to leave.
At first I thought it kind of sucked that the main character was a girl because as a boy I didn't think I could understand her, but in retrospect it's okay because the female characters are totally hot. I'm kind of progressive so I think girls with katanas are sexy. I don't know how Rileigh is holding her katana on the cover, but I think it's part of her ki.
I love the plotline about Rileigh's ki power draining. I don't know what I would do if my ki drained. I wouldn't be able to execute my strongest moves. So, I felt bad for Rileigh. I've never read a story with amnesia in it either, and I think it's really cool and unique. The author is also really clever because I looked it up and Sumi means ink, so it's like Ink the dark black ninja. I'm going to use that as symbolism in the manga I'm drawing at some point, so arigato Gibsen-san!!1 :P
As someone whose read the entirety of Naruto and Bleach, I think it's fair to say I know a ton about books. So I'll rate this book from 1-10, 1 being something gay like The Great Gatsby (more like the gay gatsby lol! I'm not homophobic though, I love yaoi) and 10 being Attack on Titan (sooooo gooooood :) ). I will rate this book, Shinobi, 10/10 Golden Nekos! And give it the Cody Uzumaki Kurosaki Platinum Writing Jutsu Award! I hope you enjoyed this book review. I would like to tell my fans: Stay cool and believe it! And with that, I'm signing out. Sayonara shimasu!

Naruto Spectacular
Seating/Glasses
Second back row, almost right at the wall. Awful seating, but I could still see things clearly. Some people had binoculars ;; This year I decided not to go with the translator glasses – I’m sure they have a proper name, but they’re these cool glasses you wear when watching the performance and as the characters speak, subtitles come up. I believe they’re available in English and Chinese. Something like Naruto is easy for me to understand without subtitles, and last year I felt like only the main points were being subbed, instead of everything (maybe a fear people couldn’t read fast enough?) so I’d probably only recommend them if your Japanese is lacking. I’m not sure if they’d work properly sitting so far away either – maybe they’d overlap on the actors too much? I think they’re better if you use them up close tbh.
The Show I apologise for skipping between musical, spectacular, play, spectacle and show ;;; We start off with Konohamaru fighting bad guys. Personally I don’t care for him, and it was really an excuse to put an actor in the audience and for Naruto to look cool when he saved Konohamaru. Unnecessary scene, and from my spot, hard to see.
Essentially everything up to the ‘find Sasuke’ arc is ignored. So if you’re hoping for Sakura screen time, you’d best go back to the source material. In saying that, Sakura’s fight with Sasori is mentioned a few times, and she explains Sasori’s mannerisms to Yamato when they do the whole ‘Kabuto is Sasori’s spy’ scene. I can understand why they skipped it, as while it was hella cool to watch her kick ass, it’d be difficult to do in a stage play and you’d need to get the Suna Three back for such small scenes etc etc. Maybe if they do this play again next year, they can add that in. Tsunade gets a song as she kinda explains the mission, but honestly, you could give her lines to literally any other character. She’s not that influential. I think she looks like Tsunade, but her speaking voice feels too harsh to me.
Sai is golden. He looks fine, he looks like Sai, sounds like Sai. Like, y’all, I realise that’s what acting is, but not everyone can do it well. After the show, and in the break, numerous people went and bought Sai goods. (Also Itachi goods) He was a perfect Sai. When they’re finding Sasuke in Orochimaru’s lair, Naruto and Sai have a song and it’s pretty touching… until Sai tries to sing about Naruto’s dick. Naruto has the most perfect ‘dude, for real?’ look and I can’t wait to see it on dvd.
Speaking of new team 7 – Yamato’s scary face is done so so well! They end up putting it on a large screen behind him. It looks mostly like someone with a torch on their face, so it’s a little cheesy, but it works really well in the scenes it’s done in (two or three times?). Sakura also did her ‘meeting Sai’ scene, when she hits both Naruto and Sai, incredibly well. Not only is she insanely cute, she’s the perfect Sakura. Enough cool and enough cute. If they continue to do musicals until the completion of the show, I’m a little worried how Sasuke-obsessed they’ll make her, but so far it’s been toned down, which I appreciate.
Unfortunately Sai doesn’t try to capture Sasuke in his sleep. I can understand why (unnecessary stage props and all), but Sasuke being such a moody bitch when he wakes up that he blows up the base will forever be one of my favourite things. The whole meeting Naruto and co scene is kind of a let down too. It was nice, but considering how that’s how Shippuden opened and the build up to get there, the play didn’t have the same feel. This play was rushed a little, and this scene suffered for it.
Sasuke killing Orochimaru was great tho. Orochimaru’s voice will always be amazing, speaking or singing, so I’ll probably never say an Orochimaru scene is bad lol It was sufficiently creepy (though again, a little too fast) and gave Sasuke and Orochimaru equal voices.
Another scene that suffered was collecting Taka. This one I mostly grumble at due to my Taka-bias tho. Obviously they can’t spend episodes gathering the three of them, and to be fair, they did get a song. Karin was a little overly sexual, but considering they only showed her being ott twice? I won’t complain (especially in that outfit – she can honestly do what she wants and I’ll agree ;;;) Sometimes it was actually kind of cute. Another scene cut was finding Zabuza’s sword. Considering the time it took in the anime, and all the scene changes, it makes sense, but I enjoyed seeing Sasuke actually test his team – here, we have him just believing they’ll be suitable instead of confirming it. Juugo’s whole ‘male female’ scene was good too, and Karin egging Juugo on in his fight against Suigetsu was a good touch too.
In between scenes we often have Akatsuki stuff – Itachi generally barges in on Sasuke’s songs to tell him he’s weak af, and wherever Itachi goes, Kisame goes too. Naruto and Taka sometimes join as well, same for Deidara.
I really liked Deidara. Unfortunately his character was greatly reduced, but considering he isn’t insanely plot relevant, I guess it doesn’t make much of a difference… (Un?)fortunately, when he creates the giant Deidara, it’s a blow up. I was trying really hard not to cackle. It’s ridiculous. I lowkey hate it, lowkey love it’s cheesiness. Also, from where I was sitting, the tongue that is in his chest looks a little like something else. It just kinda… sprung free and I couldn’t take it seriously at all =.= I guess this scene was gold for all the wrong reasons lol
The search team is sent out for Sasuke and them running looks so stupid. I understand how hard it is to run around, since the space is so limited, but maybe instead of such a long running scene, have some of it just be talking? Maybe it looked good from the centre of the audience, but from my spot, it looked really lame. Kurenai’s team makes an appearance, but get a line or two each. Karin still gets Juugo to help her scatter Sasuke’s stuff, but I don’t believe it’s explicitly said what her plan is, so unless you’ve seen the show/read the manga (safe to say most audience members would – but sometimes people come to these things just because (shout out to the 80 year old couple at the Digimon play), or are accompanying a friend), you wouldn’t know what her plan was.
Next is the Itachi vs Sasuke scene and it was so good. Like, idk how to explain it. They had doubles for clones, it was spot on with lines and emotions. The audience got really involved in it, and it sucks that you know what’s coming because it hurts that much more… I’d say this is probably the highlight of the play. Obviously they’re two popular characters and their actions, since even before their introductions, have been the driving force of some plot incidents (Itachi killing the clan motivates Sasuke to be strong, goes to Orochimaru) and other character’s motivation (Sasuke’s abscence motivates Team 7), not to mention how emotional this scene is, so I think a lot of time and effort was placed into this scene. It worked really well and I wish I could explain it better ;;;
Taka becomes Hebi, and Tobi is done really well. Tobi interacts with Pein and Konan as well, but mostly with the Uchiha brothers. I’m biased toward Tobi as he ran up to us in the finale and I could high five him, but shush. Those gloves are real nice but in this heat I can’t imagine they’d be super comfortable… The ending song is the same (and I really hope we get a cast version soon – honestly last year’s Gaara/Oro duet part was ICONIC). Naruto also had some hella cool rad sticks and when he spun them, it made a Naruto face and stuff. Rad af.
In the comments, Sasuke just kept cackling, while Yamato and Sai were minor low key throwing shade at Deidara and Tobi who were actually speaking. They were dorks so there was plenty of time to laugh at them lol This team works together so well and you can see they’re good friends – sometimes you don’t feel that but in a series that is based on, partly at least, the power of friendship and love, that’s super important.
Honestly, while this year lacked the jumping around action of last year’s, I think it kinda showed how they characters matured? As soon as it ended I wanted to see it again! While I wanted to see last years again too, I was more serious about seeing this years again, but this late in the season makes it way too difficult  Guess I just have to wait for next year!
How does it compare to last year? I saw last year’s performance as well. Personally, I liked this year’s better. I am hugely Taka-biased tho. Even though my seats weren’t as good this year (were as bad as you could get tbh – last year I was in the second block, if I had been one row closer I could have high touched the actors), I feel more touched by this year’s performance – partly because it was more emotional to a lot of characters I guess? More interesting scenes too – the Lee/Naruto wake up scene last year was cute (and everything with InoShikaCho was amazing, and this musical didn’t have anything on that type of team bond/audience interaction feel, which was kinda sad), but this year had things like Orochimaru dying, so I guess it had less time for ‘filler’. Also, while I don’t hate Naruto, he’s not even in the top five of my fave Naruto characters ;; If anything, I felt like he was unnecessarily added in some scenes in this performance.
Also, while I didn’t talk to the fans (lots of people come by themselves, don’t want to talk to others and that’s ok! And I’m sure some of them are confused by the foreigner and worry about their English/my level of Japanese so don’t strike up a conversation and I’m too shy to do start one), when I was trying to organise the stupid amount of merch I bought, one girl offered to hold my coffee and someone else helped me when I dropped something. Also, the girls really brought their a-game this year and were splendidly dressed. I… wore a Naruto shirt and was underdressed in comparison ;;;
I felt like the girls around me were more emotional as well. Maybe some of the crowd last year had already seen the previous year’s performance and therefore knew what was coming, but more people were crying this year. This year felt a lot more fast paced, so everything happened faster and there were more intense moments, and I guess it was more than likely mostly Uchiha fans in the audience, which probably had something to do with it, but still, I think this audience was more involved than last year’s was.
There were some people waiting for the actors to leave (so they could wave them off in their taxis) but security practically pushed me out. Considering they weren’t doing the same to anyone else, I do feel it was race motivated – maybe they thought I wouldn’t fight back due to lacking Japanese, or something? Either way it was hella rude as I was getting my phone, train pass etc out of my bag and everyone was pretty far from where the taxis were going to be driving anyway. If someone spends 7000 yen on a ticket and then more than that on goods and preorders the bluray, while I don’t necessarily want respect, I think the least I deserve, the least type of customer service I should receive, is not being shoved.
I’d recommend the stage performances regardless. Seeing them live is so much more fun than watching them on a dvd! Obviously it isn’t realistic for everyone to do that, but try to at least support the official release in some way.

A Decade and Forever (SN Fic)
Author: Milkshake-fairy (https://milkshake-fairy.tumblr.com)  (AO3: http://archiveofourown.org/works/11180394)
Paring: Sasuke x Naruto (sasunaru)
Rating: Explicit
Summary: "It had been years, a lifetime, of knowing this man. He had watched Naruto grow, mature, evolve, yet keep the same beautiful heart he had always had as he became the legend he is today, and Sasuke had loved him each step of the way, more and more."
Notes: For me, chapter 698 was the true ending, and I don’t consider most things after that as canon lol. This is an after ending canon compliant fic. Also note that Sasuke’s arm has been healed.
It’s a quarter till midnight, and the messy stacks of papers piled high on Naruto’s desk have not gotten any smaller in the past hour. He leans back in his chair, rubbing his tired eyes before attempting to re-read the document in front of him, hoping to finally be able to grasp the content of the paper instead of scanning mindlessly through the large chunks of single-spaced paragraphs.
The office of the 7th Hokage is dimly lit by a lamp at the corner of the table and by several cylindrical candles placed in various places around the room. With the windows left slightly open, a light breeze is flowing in, causing the curtains to wave gently and the candle flames to flicker. The peaceful ambiance of the room is not helping Naruto fight against the haze of drowsiness clouding his mind, and his head almost falls to rest against the document he’s failed to comprehend yet again when he hears the creaking of the door opening.
“Sleeping on the job again,” a low, warm voice, deep and familiar, carries through the room. “Usuratonkachi.”
Naruto lift his head up so quickly he as to brace himself against the desk by a surge dizziness, but the smile on his face grows wider as he meets his husbands eyes. Pushing the door closed, Sasuke walks up to the desk and moves his cloak back to reveal his left hand, along with the three large red roses clasped in it.
“Happy anniversary,” he says, holding the flowers out to Naruto. The roses were in full bloom, their petals a dark red and their stems cut short, held together by a white ribbon. Naruto could smell the strong sweet fragrance permeating from the flowers even before he reaches out and takes them from his husband. He glances up at the clock. It’s midnight, which mean it’s officially the day of their anniversary, a decade since the they had gotten married. Naruto grins, warmth radiating inside his chest and thrumming though his veins as he buries his nose in the soft rose petals.
“Happy anniversary,” he replies, looking up at Sasuke, the roses still pressed against his face. He can hear the tremble of emotion in his own voice. Damn Sasuke. Each year, somehow or another, he managed to catch Naruto off guard. Caught up in a particularly complicated mission, Sasuke had been away for almost two weeks and wasn’t due back until later. Two weeks was not nearly the greatest amount of time that they had spent away from each other but being apart never did get easier. Actually, it seemed to get progressively harder as the years passed, and the last two weeks had been especially taxing for Naruto. The grueling duties as a hokage were somehow even more draining without the support and presence of his husband and closest friend.
Though it was their anniversary, he had not expected Sasuke to return so soon. Just this morning he had received a note from husband saying there was no way he could make it back to Konoha until at least three or four more days, and Naruto had wondered for a moment if Sasuke had remembered the date, though, of course, they both prioritized their shinobi duties. In retrospect, it was a stupid thought. When had Sasuke ever forgotten anything even remotely important to their relationship, much less their 10th anniversary?
“Lying bastard,” Naruto mutters, standing up and meeting Sasuke at the side of the desk. He pulls Sasuke into a hug, burying his face in the crook of his husband’s neck, melding himself against the familiar warmth as the pent up tension in his body ebbs away. Strong arms wrap around his middle, pulling him closer before he feels his husband’s calloused hands reach under his shirt, resting his palms against the skin on Naruto’s waist.
Sasuke turns his head to bury his nose in Naruto’s hair. “It’s called a surprise, usuratonkachi. I thought you liked surprises. Why do you smell so nice?”
Naruto lifts his head, pulling away to sit on the desk behind him as Sasuke stands between his legs, his hands still lightly gripping Naruto’s waist.
“Went home to eat dinner with the kids and took a bath. I thought it’d wake me up, but I havn’t been able to focus since I came back.”
Naruto lifts a hand to lightly graze a new but fading bruise on Sasuke’s cheek, finally studying his husband’s appearance more closely. Pale skin, dark eyes, long dense lashes, and his sharp, defined features were set together in a beautiful yet handsome face. While Naruto had let his own hair grow out, now curling just past the top of his nape, Sasuke had cut his, the back trimmed shorter, long bangs pushed back.
The bastard’s somehow getting even more attractive with age, Naruto thinks, running his fingers through his husband’s hair.
“You look a lot less busted up than I was expecting you to look after a mission like this.”
“Well, you look like shit,” Sasuke retorted, “When’s the last time you slept more then three hours?”
Lifting his hands to Naruto’s face, he traces the deep-set dark circles under Naruto’s eyes lightly with his thumbs.
“It’s been hell the past few weeks with work.” And without you.
Naruto does not verbalize the last sentiment, but it’s clear from the way that Sasuke catches his eyes, his expression softening, that he understands.
Hands under Naruto’s knees, Sasuke slides him closer before leaning in for a kiss. First a peck on the lips before he moves up to press his lips under each of Naruto’s eyes.
“Sap,” Naruto laughs, “you really missed me huh?”
His laughter is cut short as Sasuke pinches his hip.
“Hmm I’m about to show you just how much,” Sasuke mumbles before taking Naruto’s lower lip into his mouth, sucking gently.
Naruto opens his mouth to deepen the kiss. It would be a lie to say that his whole body wasn’t screaming for Sasuke. One would think this hunger for each other would fade over the years, but it had only intensified. Their bodies had memorized each other’s completely, every scar, every mole, every weakness. They had become dependent on each other, past the mental bond and the ever growing emotional connection, there was a blazing, carnal need that persisted despite the passing years, an addiction.
Naruto hears himself moan. Really, two weeks is far too long.
Breaking the kiss, Sasuke presses their lips together one time before trailing light pecks along his jaw and down to the side of neck, where he starts a hickey. Wrapping his legs around Sasuke, Naruto tilts his head back, fingers entangled in his husband’s soft hair.
“I’ve got work to finish,” he mumbles with no conviction, feeling the slight pain from where Sasuke is sucking shooting ripples of arousal though his body, accumulating at his groin.
Standing up straight, Sasuke pushes Naruto’s legs off and walks away.
“Wait what? Come back.”
“I thought you just said you have work to do,” Sasuke smirks, walking to the drawers of the desk to rummage though the one on the lower left. He pulls out a small tube before walking back to a pouting Naruto and placing it beside him.
“Calm down, usuratonkachi. I assume we’re going to need this?”
Wrapping his legs around him once again, Naruto grins and pulls Sasuke down for a kiss. Mouths still connected, Sasuke brings one hand up to run his fingers through Naruto’s hair and hold the golden strands in a loose grip while his other hand unbuttons the orange shirt his husband’s wearing.
“I’ll help you,” Sasuke murmurs, in between kisses.
“Hm?”
“I’ll help you with your work. Tomorrow.”
Undoing the last button, Sasuke tugs Naruto’s shirt off and pulls away from his lips to suck at the base of his neck, hands now preoccupied with the unfastening Naruto’s pants.
He leaves a trail of wet kisses across Naruto’s shoulder before pushing him back to lie on the desk and he pulling his pants off.  He stills, hands under the other’s toned thighs as Naruto’s calves wrap loosely around Sasuke hips, to observe his husband, to take in the sight that he knows so well but can never quite get used to.
Sasuke’s eyes roam over the golden blond hair, thick yet soft, clear blue eyes that changed shades slightly depending on Naruto’s mood, now a darker hue, and the expanse of bronzed skin, spanning over the long, lean, and toned body.
It had been years, a lifetime, of knowing this man. He had watched Naruto grow, mature, evolve, yet keep the same beautiful heart he had always had as he became the legend he is today. Sasuke had loved him each step of the way, more and more. He still regretted how much time he had spent running from his own feelings, denying something that he knew in his core perhaps from the very moment he and Naruto had met, the bond he had tried over and over again to destroy but failed. Thank God he had failed.
Naruto was staring up at him now, eyes burning into Sasuke’s own, filled with lust, love, and slight confusion at Sasuke’s hesitancy.
Lifting Naruto’s legs up, Sasuke rests the back of his husband’s knees on his shoulders and starts a trail of kisses down his inner thigh.
For all the time he spent hurting Naruto, hiding from his love and hiding his own love, Sasuke would spend the rest of his life balancing it out, pouring out his heart and soul into this bond that saved him, this man that went against the world for him. It was not a debt that he could ever really pay back, but he had vowed to try for as long as he lived since the day he slipped a golden ring on to Naruto’s finger.
He reaches the joint of Naruto’s thigh and sucks gently on the tender skin, biting down softly as he feels Naruto squirm beneath him before moving to start another hickey close to his member.
Sasuke hears a sharp intake of breath before his husband’s hand fists into hair.
“Why are you being so slow?” Naruto’s voice is slightly strained, fighting back his moans.
Hands wrapped around both of his husband’s thighs, Sasuke pushes them further part before kissing the hickey he just finished creating and rising up to smirk at Naruto.
“I was trying to take some time building things up. Forgot patience isn’t your thing, usuratonkachi.”

More than two hours later, they’re lying naked on the worn yet comfortable couch in the corner of the office, Naruto asleep on top of Sasuke, covered with Sasuke’s cloak.
Massaging the tips of his fingers on Naruto’s scalp, Sasuke watches the slow rise and fall of his back, mind wondering once again.
He couldn’t quite pinpoint the exact moment he fell in love with Naruto. There was always some sort of pull towards the blond, a call from his very soul that yearned to reach out to Naruto’s. Perhaps he had been in love before he knew what love even meant, before his mind could begin to process the depth of his emotions. His body, heart, and soul knew before his brain did, and they guided him.
Sasuke recalls the battle with Haku, and how his own body had moved instinctively to save Naruto. Some part of his soul knew, with absolute certainly, that he wouldn’t, couldn’t, live in a world without this person, this boy that held the sun in his heart, that shone light into every dark crevice of Sasuke’s existence.
If there was such thing as a soulmate then Naruto was Sasuke’s, and if there was a such thing as a God then Sasuke thanked him with every fiber of his being for making it so.
Naruto shifts in Sasuke’s arms, pulling him out of his thoughts and nuzzling into his neck.
“Shit, what time is it?” Naruto’s voice is rough with sleep.
“Almost three in the morning.”
Groaning, Naruto moves to fold his arms on Sasuke’s chest, propping himself up.
“So we’re spending the night here?” He leans forward to press his lips against Sasuke’s.
“We’ll go back home before the kids wake up.”
Naruto nods and then winces. “Fuck, you bastard. I’m sore in literally every part of my body.”
Sasuke rubs gentle circles on his husband’s hips, imagining the bruises from his fingers that would’ve appeared there and the amount of hickeys and scratches that now covered Naruto’s caramel skin.
“Who was it that was screaming for me to go faster a little while ago? You better hope no one was in or around this building.”
Dropping his head in Sasuke’s chest, Naruto touches the bruises blooming on his own neck.
“Ugh, I have to find someway to hide these again. You and your stupid need to put lovebites in places people can see, and some of those people happen to be our young children.”
Sasuke shifts to gently slide Naruto off of him before propping himself up on one elbow to look down at his husband.
“Oh yeah?.” He tilts his head back and points at his own neck. “What about these?”
Grinning, Naruto studies the series of hickeys scattered across Sasuke’s neck and collar, decorating the pale skin with red, pink, and purple.
“I was just trying to get back at you. We can call it even now,” he laughs.
Sasuke rolls his eyes before leaning down to kiss Naruto’s forehead. He moves off the couch to stand, hearing the other whine and grab at his arms.
“Give me second.”
Naruto has a clear view of Sasuke’s muscular back as he walks towards his discarded clothes lying on the floor near the desk. Heat rises to his cheeks and ears as he observes the angry red scratches covering the fair skin on his husband’s back.
I need to cut my nails more often, he thinks, pushing his face into a pillow cushion.
“Hey.”
Sasuke’s voice prompts Naruto to lift his head, sitting up in surprise when he sees his husband kneeling in front of the couch with a small box in his hand.
There are so many things Sasuke wants to tell Naruto, so emotions he wants to express, so many thoughts he needs to convey, but he’s never been good with words. Luckily, his better half has always understood him, read his heart more clearly than he himself could.
Naruto is looking down at him now, eyes filled with surprise and affection, staring straight through Sasuke’s entire being like he always does, with a smile on his lips.
Opening the box and lifting it towards his husband, watching as his blue eyes fall on the platinum ring inside it, Sasuke clears his throat and opens his mouth to speak.
“Uchiha-Uzumaki Naruto, please let me stay by your side for the rest of my life.”

Naruto vs One Piece
All that bickering about Naruto vs One Piece. . .  Frankly (and I know that I am going to offend those who take their favorite anime seriously, or even religiously), I don't like either, although there are good things about both.   Naruto is really good, up to the fight against Pain, which is sort of what the original story set up all the way from the beginning, but after that, I just think that the author ran out of fresh ideas.   Naruto is also good at teaching kids to work hard and believe in themselves, as well as promoting the idea of friendship, family, and seeking inner wholeness and healing.   But after the Pain fight, not only has the whole storyline gone sour, the fight scenes also lost creativity and fresh ideas.  I think Sasuke vs Danzo was great, but short, but after that I don't like anything else, but there might be some good fights, well, at least the Naruto vs Sasuke fight is bound to be good.  I wouldn't know because I stopped watching.   What got me to stop watching is not any of the negatives mentioned, nor the immense amount of filler episodes as attempts to milk the show's success, but that it became very manipulative, trying to manipulate people to get all self-pitying, sulky, and just get into that soggy state of mind, which I think is VERY unhealthy.   Perhaps this is due to the author knowing that he's running out of creative juices and wanting to keep the audience watching.  Well, in the episode after Naruto defeated Pain, he sends a clear message that there is no shortcut to becoming a ninja, a very good message that he couldn't follow through.  Using manipulative tactics is kind of like selling opium, getting people sucked in without offering anything substantial.   But this week I thought to give it another chance.  I watched one episode, just one, and I couldn't stand it.  Because while watching I kept screaming on the inside, "DUDE, the real world does not work this way!  This is naive, wishy washy, unrealistic, a childish ideological fantasy!"  I just couldn't stand it.  The notion that evil is born out of pain and people are not inherently sinners is a horrible foundation to build a story on; perhaps there's a parallel universe out there where this is the case (if parallel universes exist), but not here, not now, not ever.   But I do have to give credit that, at least in the earlier episodes, before all the manipulative tactics got deployed when things went south, it does serve as a great source of encouragement, consolation, and entertainment.   Perhaps I should just research and find out which episodes got the cool fight scenes and I'll just watch those lol :D. But even then I'd still have to sit through several episodes of fillers just for a few minutes of fight scenes. . .  Filler episodes. . ., where is the honor in that? Lol :D.   One Piece is the extreme opposite of Naruto.  I like it's accurate portrayal of the real world.  One scene came to mind.  When Luffy was dying from fighting crocodile, one guy past by and looked at him, and decided to walk away, saying that he's busy with something else.  And then Luffy grabbed him and said that he has a similar goal as him, to help the princess and defeat Crocodile, and he promised he'll do it, and then the guy helped him and saved his life.  It's shocking, appalling, unbelievable, yet so perfectly true.  This is how the real world works.  There are exceptions, there are still little pockets of love and kindness here and there, but very very few, so few that, the best most can do is to resolve to be the changes he/she wants to see in this world.   But (and this is where I think my One Piece friends will be offended, sorry about that) the show is also very manipulative.  It's got a cult-like attraction to it that manipulates you in such a way that empowers you and sucks you into its teachings at the same time.  I've never seen any anime, nor any show, as intrusive as One Piece!  After watching it I feel like I'm really really hardened and stiffed and restless, yet having the urge to just go nuts and work and stuff.  It's powerful, but I don't think that's the right path.   I believe in prayer, fellowship with God, falling in love with him and let life flourish out of that relationship, and the intrusiveness of One Piece works strongly against that.   And like, why do you have to be so wound up and stressed out and push yourself to the edge on the inside just to make a comfortable living? It's not like you're trying to become the world champion or anything. If you just discipline yourself enough, practice, make time to work on the things you need to, set goals, and things like that, in due time you'll make it. So why do you have to pick up the One Piece doctrine and get all wound up so tight on the inside? Jesus said, "I'll never leave you, nor forsake you. I will not leave you here to be orphans." In Christianity there's a term "Orphan Spirit", and that's when one thinks that the whole world is against him, his back is against the wall, and that it's do or die. It's empowering, but really? Is winding yourself up THIS tight really necessary? It's empowering but so harsh, so cruel, so unnecessary. And this whole indoctrination thing, I think it's a similar thing that drove the Kamikaze pilots to do suicide bombing and people committing seppuku when feeling dishonored or when facing the decision between that and surrendering to the enemy. I love the Japanese people and culture, but I think this old school way of thinking and doing things is dangerous and harmful to people. It takes away that sense of joy and tenderness out of life--not good! Upon repeated urges of my close friends who watch the show religiously, I did work through quite a bit of episodes, trying to cope with its effects the best I could.  Yeah, there's much to learn and many good things to praise about it, as they endlessly point out pretty much every time we meet lol :D.  But I just think that life consists of so much more than just success and pursuing after worldly materialistic dreams and finding fulfillment in the pursuit.  There's the whole inner world going on inside every soul, and how to properly care for, sort out, and cultivate your soul is actually far more important than outward achievements.  Because your soul is what you have to live with forever.  If it's good, it rewards you constantly.  If it's in bad shape, it torments you constantly.  Money and success can't help you with that.  You can cut off from your inner person, it can be done, and it has been done by people, but what kind of life will that make, success or not?   For the past few days I've been watching Bleach.  I watched up towards the end of season 6 when I stopped, that was seven years ago.  Life has been hectic even before that, but it got to the point where I just couldn't live care free enough to watch it.  Before, I just thought it's a great hack and slash anime, but when I started watching it again, I was really stunned about all of the symbolism and messages I picked up.   Essentially, I think it's a detailed narrative about Ichigo's rite of passage into adulthood.  I love the various characters and the authors portrayal of who they are inside and out and how they interact and mingle.  There's a lot of soul searching going on ("soul society", duh!).  It's like, you interact with your inner person and people around you, and it's just a big mingling experience that's very well portrayed.  There's a very good balance of friendship, ideologies, and the real world.  For example, Aizen was this perfectly looking nice guy who was only pretending so he could work on his master plan and then he switched side to become the ruler of the evil villains, and even then he continues to manipulate everybody.  And amongst the friends there's friendship, as well as conflicts and practicalities all interwoven together; it's just saying that even amongst good friends things may not be perfectly pure, and then with different personalities and ways of thinkings and priorities, there will be conflicts.  And it's not so intrusive and manipulative such that I can comfortably watch and observe.   So I think Bleach is my thing.  Everyone has the right to choose his/her thing.  Don't be coming around saying yours is the best and everyone else's sucks, that's bodozing. And I think Bleach's fillers are not boring and pointless, you can still pick up on things.  Naruto's fillers are pathetic.  One Piece does not have fillers, technically speaking, but it goes at a much slower pace, so things even out.   But the caveat with all of them though, is that they're made by Japanese for Japanese. We get to peek at their culture but we don't live in it, so we got to be picky and analytical about what works and what does not.
