Stepping out onto the small wooden stage, I felt the bile rise in my throat as I looked out across the bar seeing everyone’s eyes were on me. I was about to show the world my vulnerabilities, my insecurities and a part of me that I had lost. In a way this was me trying to find myself once again, I had spent far too long trying to be a superhero when in reality I was just plain old Nova.
Wrapping my fingers around the neck of my guitar, I let out a shaky breath trying to remember how free I felt when I sang.
You can do this!
Letting my eyes flutter closed I let the backing track wash over me, feeling the beat take over my soul as I started strumming the strings on my guitar, “So he's gone and left you all alone, think the better of your years were spent with him. The little girl who used to dance, on fire and brimstone, is all but dead,” my voice was shaky to start with but I quickly found my rhythm as the music took over my body.
“Where's the girl I knew that held a lighter up to the radio. She'd do anything she wants, because she can. We were seventeen and wild and we were jumpin' on the Devil's bed, I didn't raise you like that,” finally opening my eyes, I looked over to Pops’ booth, seeing the tears form in his eyes tugged at my heart. “I taught you lessons about freedom strapped to the bucket of a four five five. I lit your hair on fire racing ten mile flats. Where American heavy metal thrives. Oh we were waitin' and wishin' on pink slips and kisses at the end of the line. When you rat-a-tat tatted on the glass, and you screamed on high I'm alive.”
It only seemed right that this was the first song I openly sang, John Teller was the man I called my father, the man that taught me right from wrong, the man that took me in when my dead beat biological parents chose drugs over me. This was the song he always used to sing to me when I was having a bad day, it always reminded me who I was.
“You can say that cat is long gone, I bet you look real hard you can find that girl within. She's probably waitin' in the wings, for you to come along, let her out again. You need a quarter mile, a bunch of horses and some gasoline,” I was putting my all into this song, in a way this was my way of speaking to myself, reminding myself that I needed to be myself. Not hiding behind this superhero image I had made myself into in order to keep my head above water. It was time that I was true to myself, it was the only way I was going to be able to move forward.
My gaze locked with Charles, there was something about the way he was looking at me that nearly made my resolve crumble into pieces. Tears threatened to spill over my lash line as I belted out the song. “I taught you lessons about freedom strapped to the bucket of a four five five. I lit your hair on fire, racing ten mile flats. Where American heavy metal thrives. Oh we were waitin' and wishin', on pink slips and kisses at the end of the line. When you rat-a-tat tatted on the glass and you screamed, I'm alive.”
For the first time in a while I felt free, the worries about showing the world my vulnerable side quickly dissolved as the music wrapped around me like a soothing blanket, as if it was protecting me from the outside world. I knew the final part of the song was coming up, I refused to break eye contact with Charles, I just hoped that he understood what I was trying to express to him through the song, especially with the last line.
“I'm alive. You wanna meet a girl I used to know, let's take a drive.”
Spinning around I let out a shaky breath, carefully placing the guitar back in the stand before turning back to face everyone in the room. Jax was wolf whistling, Pops was crying and everyone else was clapping. Nothing could take the smile off my face right now I was in my element as I jumped off the stage making way over to the corner my family were huddled in.
The moment I got within touching distance Jax pulled me into his arms, pressing a kiss against the top of my head, “that gave me fucking chills, Squirt,” he hummed, squeezing me tight. Wiggling out of his grasp I took Pops’ hands in mine, the proud watery smile that was on his face told me everything.
“I’ve missed your singing,” he whispered, squeezing my hand, “seeing you up on that stage took me back to when you used to put on your own concerts in the living room, singing into your hairbrush.”
Oh god he was going to spill off of my embarrassing moments in front of the guy I was currently crushing hard on. I needed to be sitting down for this, Jax being the ass he was, had taken the space next to Pops meaning the only spot left for me was next to Charles. Right now I wanted the world to swallow me whole, especially when Jax jumped in on the action as well, he loved any chance he could to tease me.
“Oh yeah, you used to make us sit through a whole damn performance, home made tour t-shirts included,” Jax smirked. I could see where this was going, he had a mischievous look in his eyes as he spoke, “you even made him set up the camcorder to make it an official tour, even though it only ever happened in the living room.”
“Now that I would love to see,” Charles chuckled, nudging my shoulder as I sat back in the same spot as earlier.
“I think Pops still has the VHS,” Jax winked, causing me to flip him the bird.
“Don’t you fucking dare Jackson Teller,” I growled through gritted teeth, “if that video ever manages to make it to the surface I will personally take a sledgehammer to your Harley and your dirt bike.”
“You wouldn’t dare,” he said, narrowing his eyes at me.
“Try me, asswipe!” I shrugged, downing a glass of amber liquid but I nearly ended up spraying Jax with whiskey from across the table as I felt Charles try to slyly move his arm around me. It was the classic fake yawn trick but even so the action caused my heart rate to double.
“You okay?” Jax asked, cocking his brow, I could tell he noticed Charles’ movement by the smirk on his face.
“Wrong hole,” I breathed, reaching for a napkin to wipe my face. My head was spinning and not from the alcohol or performing, this was the most contact I had with Charles since he arrived in town and I was starting to freak out, especially when he scooted over in the booth, his leg pressing against mine. In my head I told myself that it was only to allow Elenor to sit in between him and Pierre.
For the next few hours we ate, drank and laughed. Everything felt natural, the more time I spent with Charles and Pierre it felt like we had been friends for years, the conversation never dried up, there were never any awkward moments even when Elenor spilt her drink all over Charles’ hoodie.
He made out that it didn’t matter when Elenor started to freak out, her bottle lip was wobbling, her bright blue eyes were shield by tears that threatened to fall. Charles ignored his wet hoodie to console Elenor. Watching him wrap his arms around her, running his hand over the back of her head trying to get her to calm down warmed my heart, he was so good with her. Once he was happy she was okay, he attempted to take the wet garment off without making anyone move. As he pulled his arms over his head, his t-shirt rode up giving me the perfect view of his toned stomach.
The sight made my heart skip a beat, I needed to distract myself, I could feel my skin heat up, to the point I knew my cheeks were bright red. Pulling my gaze away from his abs I tried to find anything else to look at but in turn I ended up catching Pierre’s eye, smirking at me knowingly. The moment Charles’ hoodie hit the table I grabbed it mumbling into the air, “let me take care of this,” before I scurried out to the back where we kept the industrial tumble dryer. This thing always amazed me, it dried items super quick meaning I had an excuse to not be at the table whilst I waited for his hoodie to dry.
Stepping out of the back door I placed a cigarette between my lips, the sound of the birds in the trees gave me something other than my racing heart to focus on. The sun was starting to set which provided a welcome breeze, but it wasn’t enough. I was so close to grabbing a pack of frozen peas out of the freezer to try to cool my face down.
My mind was spinning with everything that had happened this evening. I was relieved that Pops loved the performance, I couldn’t lie it did feel good to get back up on the stage. My thoughts drifted back to Charles, I swear the connection between us was getting stronger by the second even though we hadn’t spoken that much. There was just something about him that set my entire world on fire.
It was like our souls had been entwined in a previous lifetime.
I stayed outside until I had got my nerves under control, even if it meant I smoked two cigarettes back to back, dropping the butt into the bucket by the door. I pushed myself off the wall, taking a deep breath, exhaling loudly before heading back inside to check on the progress on the dryer.
Once I had rejoined the table I dropped Charles’ sweater in front of him, the confused look on his face made me giggle, “we have a commercial dryer, don’t worry I ain’t a hoodie thief,” I shrugged. My words caused a large smile to appear on his face as I sat back down next to him. This time he didn’t try to be sly about his movements, wrapping an arm around my shoulders.
“Thank you,” he whispered, letting his fingers run over the back of my hand like he was drawing something.
“I wasn’t gonna let you sit in wet clothes all night,” I smiled, boldly resting my hand on his knee, “I ain’t cruel.”
It was like it was only me and him in the room, these small touches made me realize how much I missed the intimacy of being with someone. It was like someone had put us in a protective bubble allowing us to openly flirt with each other. That was until Pierre coughed bringing us back down to the real world.
“You two need to get a room,” he smirked, pouring himself another glass of whiskey.
“What does that mean, Auntie Nova?” Elenor asked, looking up from her coloring book.
“Nothing, baby,” I giggled, before narrowing my eyes at Pierre causing him to hold his hands up in defense.
“You need to watch this one Charles, she’s feisty,” Pierre hummed with a large smile on his face.
Out of the corner of my eye I could see the look on Pops’ face had changed, he had gone from smiling to throwing daggers across the table at me and Charles. The knot in my stomach made itself known once again, I knew the expression on Pop’s face all too well.
“You just have to flirt with everyone don’t you Gemma,” he spat, slamming his palm onto the table causing me to flinch at the sudden movement. “You can’t be fucking faithful if you tried!”
Tears pricked my eyes, normally I could deal with his episodes but this one cut deep, it felt personal. The fact he thought I was Gemma made me want to throw up, I was nothing like her, never have been and never will be but for some reason in his head right now that's who he saw me as. I had never moved so fast in my life, pushing Charles’ arm off me, moving so I was crouched in front of Pops
“Pops, it’s me,” I whispered, placing my hand on his arm, “it’s Nova.”
“Get off me,” he shouted, pushing me backwards causing me to fall on my ass.
A single tear rolled down my cheek as I looked up at Charles and Pierre. “Can one of you get her out of here please, she doesn’t need to see this. I have a feeling it won’t be pretty.”
Both boys quickly moved out of the booth, Pierre taking Elenor's hand guiding her out of the firing zone, she didn’t need to see her Poppy like this. Charles was now standing in front of me, offering his hand for me to take, he had an apologetic smile on his face as he helped me off the floor.
“You never could keep your hands to yourself could you!” Pops growled at me, pushing himself to his feet so he could square up to me, “whenever there was someone new in town you would be all over them like a rash, not caring about me.”
I couldn’t stop the tears from rolling freely down my cheeks, I knew his words weren’t aimed at me but they still hurt. Especially knowing that he thought I was his ex-wife.
“Pops, Gemma is dead!” I said, trying not to lose my temper, reminding myself that he wasn't himself right now.
He hadn’t had an outburst this bad in a while, seeing the man I looked up too lose all control like this completely broke me. There was nothing anyone could do, we just needed to ride it out but I knew the way he was looking at me right now was going to be burned into my soul.
My heart was in pieces, the man standing in front of me wasn’t one I recognised. Roughly wiping my cheeks with the back of my hand I tried to stop the tears from falling but nothing was working. The whole bar had fallen silent at Pops’ outburst, I needed to get out of the room, right now it felt like the walls were starting to close in on me trying to squeeze the life out of my body.
“Sunshine, you okay?” Charles asked, placing his hand on my lower back. His touch provided some calmness to the whirlwind of a situation.
“I need to be alone right now,” I sniffled, knowing my make up was well and truly fucked right now. Shrugging Charles’ hand off me, I let out a shaky breath as I tried to move through the bar but it was just my luck that everyone was standing between me and the door blocking my escape.
“Can everyone fucking move out of my way!” I growled, not caring how harsh I sounded.
“Nova,” Jax called out to me, he knew that he shouldn’t follow me, although when I saw a packet of cigarettes flying through the air I weakly smiled at him, catching the smokes with ease, before slipping through the main doors of the bar.
The moment I finally got outside the summer breeze hit my face, my world had just been tipped upside down in the space of five minutes. Feeling the wall take the weight of my body, I didn’t try to hold myself up instead I slumped to the floor pulling my knees to my chest as the sobs took over my body.
Any happiness I felt had now been washed away by Pop’s reaction. I never would have predicted he would act the way he did, seeing me with someone. This was how my life went, one moment I was on top of the world, feeling invincible to feeling the lowest I had felt in a while within a matter of minutes.

“Are you sure you’re okay with this, brother?”
Jax was perched against the door of the men’s bathroom in Diosa.
“If my sister’s going to be with any outlaw, I guess it’s better off being my best friend.”
Jax was amused at this, smirking as he pushed Opie in the shoulder. “As far as outlaws I’d say I’m a pretty big catch.”
Opie scoffed while he zipped up his jeans, “Just don’t break her heart, or I’ll have to break your jaw.” Jax grinned at his best friend, “fair enough.”
You’d known Jax since you were both little kids, and between him and Opie, you always felt like just the pestering little sister, even if you were only two years younger than them. Once you’d graduated college and moved back to Charming, you’d realised just how much you liked Jax. He wasn’t like any guy you’d met at college, and you were crushing.. hard. It had been weeks of playing it cool, and you were done with the act. Tonight you had put on your best dress for Chib’s birthday party at Diosa, and you were going to make Jax see you weren’t just Opie’s annoying little sister anymore.
He walked in from the back rooms with Opie, laughing and running his hands through his hair, rings on every other finger. There was just something about Jax. You pretended you didn’t see him, but any chick with eyes would’ve looked. Melissa, one of the Diosa girls that you’d recently become friends with, had noticed him arrive too.
“Well if your plan doesn’t work in that dress, you got no chance.”
You’d wore the sexiest dress you had, a black short formed velvet dress with tiny straps and the tightest push up bra you could find.
“It’s not like it’s the first time I’ve worn a dress in front of him. He probably won’t notice me at all.”
Nonetheless, you did what you could to catch his eye. You shimmied on your seat towards the bar to make sure Jax could see you, and maybe he could catch a glimpse of your best assets flaunting with the help of your bra. You glanced over at him, wishing he’d glance back so you could lock eyes, yet he was clearly preoccupied by the heated discussion Tig and Bobby were having.
Melissa sighed, “we gotta go for plan B.”
You had no clue what she meant. “Hey Lucas, get over here.” You shifted your view from Jax to her, shocked by whatever she was conjuring up.
“What the fuck are you doing Melissa?”
“You want Jax to notice you?”
“By talking to a prospect?”
“Just shut up and do what I say.” If she wasn’t your closest friend here, you would’ve punched her. Lucas had only been a prospect with the club for a few months, he was shy and in your opinion, a little too innocent looking to be an outlaw. He stood beside your table, unsure what it was he was there for.
“Hey ladies. What can I do for ya?”
“Why don’t you sit down? We don’t bite.” Poor Lucas was melting at the flirty smile Melissa flashed his way. He shrugged and wedged himself on the empty chair placed at the edge of the table, right beside you. You almost felt bad for him.
Almost. Because it was that very moment that you glanced at Jax, and realised he was looking over now, directly at you, smiling while sipping his beer. Your heart started to race.
“What do you think of y/n’s dress?” She must’ve really wanted you to punch her. How the fuck was this going to get you Jax? Lucas pulled at the collar of his shirt, clearly wary that whatever the answer, he was in for it.
“It’s smokin’. Is that all you called me over here for?” Melissa nudged you on the side, pushing you closer to Lucas. “We just thought you may wanna get to know y/n a little better. Seeming as you’re new to the club and all.” You weren’t sure if Lucas looked delighted at the attention or like he wanted to run for the hills.
Melissa whispered in your ear, “It’s working.”
You looked over your shoulder back to the bar, and she was right, Jax hadn’t taken his eyes off you. You decided to play into it a little more. “Hey Lucas, did you know there’s a room out the back that is completely sound proofed?” Melissa gawked at your blunt question. Okay, maybe that was too far. “Umm.. no...” You leaned into him, placing your hand on his leg. “Yep, wanna see?” Lucas gulped and stood up. “Sure, why not.” You smiled at him and held your hand out for him to take, and you both headed towards the back rooms. You didn’t so much as peak at Melissa, but you did look at Jax. He was still watching, as you left the lobby, hand in hand with Lucas.
“This is the room. Pretty cool, huh?” You walked along the velvet wall frame, covered in grey foam squares. The room was large and full of red silk and tapestry. Lucas trailed behind you, closing the door as he followed. “Why would there be sound proofing at a massage parlour?” You laughed, the poor kid really was as naive as he was innocent. “This isn’t a massage parlour, silly.” You were about to explain, until there was a loud knock at the door. Before anyone could answer it, Jax walked in. “Club business out back, prospect. Tig’s looking for you.” Lucas practically ran, nodding at Jax as he left, slamming the door behind him.
And just like that, you were alone. With Jax. For the first time. Ever.
“Hi, Jax.” was all you could get out.
“Hey there, darlin.”
“Club business? Now?” You sat down on the edge of the bed, brutally aware of how high the skin on your thighs were now exposed from the already too short dress. Jax ignored your question as he sat down right next to you, twirling a lighter in his hands. “What exactly were you doing in here with the prospect?” You couldn’t lie to Jax, you were smart enough to know he’d see right through it. You also couldn’t tell him how you’d used the poor innocent soul to make him jealous either. “He wanted to see the room. I was being courteous.” Jax couldn’t contain the laughter now, “Courteous? He looked like his face was gonna melt off.”
Jax stood up and leaned back on his heels, plainly drinking you in with his eyes.
“Were you always this hot?”
Your heart started to race again, crimson filled your cheeks, but you knew you had to play it cool. You narrowed your eyes at him, “Is that supposed to be a compliment?”
Jax smiled back at you. “I never really noticed before. Being Ope’s sister kinda means you’re off limits.” Great. Still in little sister territory. “Then why are you here?”
He was walking to the other side of the room before he sat on the love seat in the far corner. “I wanted to check out the sound proofing.” He was highly amused.
“Very funny.” You figured he was just fucking with you, so you got up from the bed, heading for the door.
“Wait, don’t go.” Jax rushed to stand inbetween you and the doorway, blocking your exit. “I’m only messing with you babe. I’m here cos I couldn’t let Lucas have the hottest girl in Charming.”
“What’s it to you if I’m ‘off limits’..”
The gap between you and Jax was slimming so much you were sure he could hear your heart pounding through your chest. “Play it cool, play it cool” was all you kept repeating to yourself.
“That was before I told Ope I want you to be my old lady. And before I saw you seducing the prospects-“, Jax closed what space was remaining between you, “but I guess if you’d rather have a prospect I could leave you lovebirds to it..”
You shook your head. “Lucas is cute and all but you’re pretty alright too.” Jax leaned into you smiling, turning his back from the door. You moved with him, until you were the one with your back against the door, and Jax so close you could feel his chest moving with each breath. “I definitley don’t want to share you with Lucas.” He was so matter of fact. His nose was touching yours, your body’s morphing into one from the closeness. Fuck.
“Then make me all yours.”
Jax pulled his weight into you, pressing you firmly against the door. You grabbed his cut and pulled him tighter, if that were even possible, securing every inch of your body against his. You wrapped your hands into his blonde hair, tugging at the strands, before pulling your mouth to his. You had to stretch on your toes to reach him, using his hair to bring him closer to your level. He kissed you back with intent, his breath warm and smelling of cigarettes and beer, and you couldn’t get enough. Moans escaped between your lips as his hands travelled all over your dress, pushing you even further into the door so you could feel his hard on rubbing against you.
He pulled your hands from his hair, pinning them above your head to the door. He secured you there with one hand, and used his other to trail his fingers down your chest and stomach, pulling the fabric of your dress higher and higher. He kept his hand against your thigh, gnawing at the skin between your legs, all while kissing your neck as he moved towards your ear. “I like you like this”, he whispered. You groaned at the sound of his praise. This all just felt too good to be true.
He tugged the skin of your thighs tighter and the sensation sent tingles through your core, like a fire was burning in your hips towards your mound. It was all too much. “Holy shit, Jax. Just fuck me already.”
He giggled into your neck and suddenly your hands were released, with your feet lifted off the ground as Jax threw you on the bed. He was standing over you, pulling the buckle from his belt in his jeans. “Mmmm.. well maybe I like you like this better. Take off those panties.” You did as he said, knowing you would follow every instruction he ever gave you without a second thought. You wiggled out of your laced briefs while you lay there, before balling them up and throwing them at him. Jax caught them with one hand, and put them in his back pocket before pulling his jeans off. “What about my dress?” you asked playfully. He knelt down beside the bed, extending his hands to feel you under the dress that was now barely clinging to your body, before sliding them down to your legs and spreading them wide. “Stay just like that.”
He pulled at your hips and slid your body down the length of the bed until you were just hanging off the edge. You whimpered at the touch of his tongue to your soaking pussy. Jax was lapping up every inch of you, and you could feel the pressure mounting between your legs in response. “Jax- fuck- please.” It was all too much. The kneading of your thighs beneath his fingers as he pulled you further into his mouth, his tongue circling and sucking and pulling your clit over and over and over and over. You were almost at the brink of relief when Jax pulled away, smirking at you from the bedside. “Ever since I saw you in that dress I wanted to have my head under it.” He hovered over you, licking his lips before planting them on yours, making you taste every drip of your drenched pussy. You couldn’t take much more.
“Don’t make me beg, Jax.” You could barely get the words out between the gasps of air and his relentless tongue encapsulating yours.
“You don’t have to beg darling’, I’m going to take you so fucking bad.”
Jax pulled his cock from his briefs and slid into you before you could even respond, pounding his length into you while pressing your neck with his hand, choking you into the bed. “Fuck- you’re- so- big.” Your eyes rolled in the back of your head at the fullness inside of you. You wrapped your hands around his arm securing his to your neck, craving more. He pushed his thumb into your mouth, holding it open as he repeatedly thrusted into you. “Show me what your mouth can do, baby.” You did as he said, sucking and caressing his thumb with your tongue as he lifted your legs from the bed, pulling him deeper inside you. You whimpered and bit on his thumb to stop the noises pouring from your throat, before he removed his hand from your neck. He leant down into you, kissing you while fucking you, pulling your dress to expose your breasts.
“Don’t need to be quiet in a sound proofed room babe. I want to hear you.” His words took you over the edge, and you came together simultaneously. Jax collapsed to your side.
“Holy fuck, Jax.” You couldn’t get anymore words out. He grinned at you as you giggled, embarrassed at your lack of words.
Jax kissed you before grabbing your ass and pulling you closer to him.
“You’re so fucking beautiful.”
Your cheeks at this point must’ve been the furthest shade of red imaginable. “I’m pretty sure this isn’t real.”
“Better believe it babe. And I’m not even done with you yet.”

Tumblr media
Your chest was rising and falling as you caught your breath and stared at the ceiling. It was the moment where all your wits and sanity came back over you and the thoughts of what just happened came flooding in. The smell of his Scottish cologne and cigarettes filled the empty space on the bed next to you, it was still warm to the touch. You heard the water from the faucet turn off and any thought that was sneaking in your brain was now being rushed out as Chibs reappeared in your room. His hands were tangling through his shirt as he put it back on. Your eyes darted from him to his kutte, waiting to see if he was going to put it on. That’s when your heart began to race even more. The thought of him leaving made you uneasy, he had come all the way up here to the farm to see you and explained nothing. It was partially your fault too, you made pleasantries, some quick small talk but before any explanation was given you were kissing him and dragging him into your room.
“What’s with the face, love?” Chibs spoke as he grabbed his kutte, your heart sinking with it.
“Leaving already?” Your eyes moved back to his.
A smile grew on his face as he shrugged the leather over his shoulders. “You promised me uh tour, didn’ya? If I ‘member correctly you said sum ‘bout chickens?”
The way the relief washed over you made you sad for a minute. You knew this was a feeling you’d feel again, that it’d be heavy when it happened, but you took a deep breath and tried to stay in the moment.
“Earl, Tootsie, Olive, and Jameson.” You named them off as you stood up and re-dressed.
Chibs was now grinning as he waited for you to get ready. “Jameson, huh?” He asked pulling out a cigarette to hang in his mouth, eager to get outside and smoke it.
“Abel and Thomas named them when they were young kids, but I made sure I suggested one.”
Chibs was holding out your sweatshirt for you. You approached and grabbed it from him but instead of letting go he pulled you closer. “Not tha only thing you have ‘round here as a reminder of me.” His face was dangerously close to yours as he looked down at the sweatshirt. It was the one item of his you could still wear around. There were no SAMCRO tags, just a black zip-up that barely had his scent left on it.
“I’ve got pictures too.” You said stealing the zip-up back from him and placing a kiss on the left side of his mouth where the cigarette wasn’t dangling from his lips. Moving past him you made your way to the backdoor, the barn dog you got quickly getting up from her bed and moving to the sliding door just waiting to run around to herd the few goats you had.
“Where’re the boys?” Chibs asked as he walked behind you.
“Thomas is with Nero. Tuesdays he picks him up from school and takes him to basketball practice.” You spoke as the door slid open and the door ran past your legs. “Abel is 16— I’m lucky if I know what he’s wearing for the day. I thought Gemma was being exaggerated when she’d talk about the “Teller Terrible Teens” but Abel has made her words an understatement.”
Chibs looked to you with a frown as you stepped onto the back deck and made your way down to the farmland.
“It’s not horrible. He’s not a dick to me, he helps out when I ask. He just– he questions everything, he’s asking about Jax, he’s getting into trouble at school.” You shook your head thinking about these last few weeks and how Abel had been acting out.
“The worst part is, he reminds me of him so much. The way he looks, the way he talks.” You laughed as you unlatched the barn fence and moved around it to look at Chibs and invite him in with the sway of your arm.  “Yesterday, we were at the grocery store and he looked at the girl bagging our shit and said, “thanks, darlin’” I swore I was looking at Jax, I froze for a minute and just stared at him.” You laughed again.
Chibs laughed with you knowing it sounded just like the boy’s father.
“He’s probably out with his friends on his dirt bikes in the back trails.” You spoke as you walked through the goat pasture. “They probably do real stupid shit but I’d rather them do it on the property than at some random’s house or parking lot downtown. I’ve turned them into real country boys.” You turned back to see Chibs admiring everything around him. He was still listening to you but he was taking in the sight around him.
“This is the goat pasture, Billie girl, our dog, loves herding them, honestly I got ‘em because I don’t have to mow the lawn as much. We’ve got 1 horse, Delilah, real beauty, she’s back in that red barn over there. Then there’s the chickens. We had more but they aged out, now we’re down to the four. Waiting to get 12 more, can’t go to the Farmer’s market with only 2 dozen eggs, you know?” The words were falling out fast as you spoke, nervous habit, but it didn’t stop you from beaming as you showed Chibs around.
“You seem happy.” Chibs couldn’t help but smile as he took in every word you said. The both of you approached the back deck and plopped down on the rocking chairs Nero insisted you kept back here for company. It was an argument between you two when you first moved onto the farm. You looked at him like he was crazy when he mentioned company. It was hard to believe a normal life with having people over could exist when you were running from what you were running from.
You looked over at Chibs as he looked right back at you after making his last comment, the smile on your face wasn’t at his words but at the memory of Nero’s.
“I don’t know about happy.” You began to shake your head. “But, I don’t know I’m content, I’m…” Your mind wandered to find the right word.
“At peace.” Chibs nodded as he finished your sentence, not even bothering to look at your eyes to see if his words were correct, he knew they were.
You would have agreed with a nod but Chibs was looking out at the farm, his fave had fallen into an expression that was hard to read. He seemed…bittersweet. Happy but yet sad.
As he stared out at the barn he nodded his head and said something under his breath.
“The Universe will never give you peace in something you were never meant to settle in.”
“What?” You leaned forward, frown filling your face as the familiar sentiment fell from his lips. It was hard to really pinpoint anything since he spoke it at a mumble.
“I, uh.” Chibs reached into his back pocket and pulled out a small pocket notebook. “found this. In the garage. S’why I came out here, figured you should have it.” He handed over one of Jax’s notebooks. You knew what it was immediately, it matched the style of the other one you had.
“I read it.” Chibs said those three words with multiple emotions behind it. Regret and apologies, for intruding on whatever privacy there was there, but also firmness and understanding like something in there just made sense.
“And?” You rested your elbows on your knees.
“‘nd, it’s’y I came here and didn’t mail it out.” He looked troubled now. “I wanted to make sure you were settled.”
Now that statement held more weight knowing what he had just mumbled under his breath.
“I guess I am.” You hated that the words felt like they were breaking his heart.
“You are, love.” Chibs spoke with certainty.
You looked out onto the farm, taking in the life you had. It was different than the life you had been born into, forced into. The life that took pretty much everything away from you.
“It’s impossible to be at peace in that town.” You said the words outloud. It felt relieving to say it. All this time you had never said it outloud, they were just thoughts that danced around you head.
“Don’t I know it.” Chibs agreed with you.
That made your head turn to him, a little shocked. All your conversations when you were together, or involved was probably the better word, back in Charming never were really about the big problem. Sure, you two talked about club stuff, the things members told their ol’ ladies, about your brother, about Jimmy O, about a lot, but never the real source.
“What are you saying?” You questioned him, more bold than you ever would have before.
“Things are different. Things are messy.” He wanted to share but you could tell he was hesitant, that he was trying to ease back into your dynamic and add another layer to it. But the loyalty to the club ran deep, that was a multi-decade long habit that he was trying to break for the first time.
“Doesn’t sound different.” That was the new you coming up to speak. The you that lost your brother, your brother’s best friend, your mother, your father to the club.
Chibs nodded at that. “We’re getting into it with the Mayans. Other charters, they’re falling apart, it’s bleeding into SAMCRO.”
“Yea, doesn’t sound different at all.” You crossed your arms and fell back into the rocking chair.
“Your brother–Jax–Jackie boy,” Chibs went through all the names he’d call Jackson Teller, smiling at the last one before letting his lips fall, “this wasn’t what he wanted, he worked hard to leave everything in a good place and it’s like shit unraveled.”
You could tell he was venting to you, you could tell he hadn’t been able to do this with anyone else in his life, no one from the club, no one in his love life, it could’ve made you feel special, a characteristic Chibs never failed at with you, but this wasn’t so much of a fail but just not something you could ever feel special about again.
“As someone who's seen it before, from the outside but up close and personal. This doesn’t seem different at all.”
It was the same statement you kept repeating, but this time, the way you said this, it made him look at you. His eyes were low, tired, and you could see the gloss and redness in them as he held back tears. Two strands of his long salt and pepper hair escaped from his sunglasses and fell in front of his eyes, oily and dirty you could tell he was going through it.
He didn’t need to say anything, you knew he was looking at you to elaborate.
It was mean to laugh, but you felt that you had the right to after everything you’ve been through and talking about it now was bringing that bitterness up.
“You’re so deep in it, you don’t even see what’s plain in front of your eyes.” You closed your eyes and took a deep breath letting the irritation leave your tone for the next sentence out of your mouth. “Your next. Everyone who's held that gavel ends up in the same place, making the same mistakes as the one previous, no matter how hard they try not to.”
Chibs took in what you said.
“Jax tried so hard to be JT, then tried so hard not to be him. Both of those things dug that grave for him. He loved the club more than anything and the club couldn’t love him back.” You were saying things that you had locked away in your mind for years, things you thought about as you buried your brother, as you packed your life up and left. “The club will never love you back.” You looked at Chibs. “Those guys might love you, but the club never will.”
“Do you?”
You weren’t sure if he was trying to change the subject, at first your head snapped to him with a smirk and a snappy remark to shoot back at him but you saw his face that was looking out at the farm.
“Never stopped.”
The words made him look at you and you smiled at him. Your head tilted and lowered to meet him at eye level since he was leaning his elbows on his knees. “Best part is, the farm,” you tilted your head a little more before leveling it out, “it loves you back.” You nodded. “Every animal, every acre of land, the boys even when they fucking hate you for embarrasing them in front of a girl,” you laughed at that one and smiled hoping the last one was going to be enough to convince him, “me.”
The tear dropped at that one. His eyes shut tight as a couple more fell.
“Move here. You can open up a garage, we have the buildings for it, Nero would even let you put something up closer to the road, you can come with me to the Farmer’s market, you can drive me to the vet at 2 in the morning when I’m worried that Billie got into something or that one of the chicken’s has a fever,” you chuckled, “you can ride dirt bikes with the boys and tell them about Jax, not SAMCRO president, but your best friend, how you fell in love with your best friend’s sister, you can wake up and feel settled, feel at peace.”
Chibs wanted to say yes. He wanted to build a fire and burn the kutte right here right now, but he knew it wasn’t that easy. In this moment it was but as the thought settled, as the days would pass, he’d think about it, he’d dwell in it, wonder if he made the right decision, miss the kutte, miss the guys.
“It’s not that easy, love.” Chibs tired to level with you.
“Doesn’t seem like the life you’re living now is either.” You would beg him, it wasn’t below you to beg. “It’s going to kill you.” You were firm in your words, it wasn’t begging but you thought it might have an impact on him. “The club is going to kill you.”
“A normal life would too.” He answered too quickly and immediately you knew it was a losing argument.
The sound of an engine and the gravel dirt being stirred up and you knew it was Thomas and Nero coming back home. Chibs looked over and saw them pulling into the driveway when he stood up.
“Was really good seeing you, love.” He put his hand on your cheek and looked down at you. “Really good.” His thumb caressed your cheek and he smiled.
You nodded in agreement and thanked him for the journal. His hand was still on your cheek when you shut your eyes tight. “Don’t come back here unless the ink is blacked out and the kutte is off.”
The words broke you to say, but it was more than just you that you had to look out for. You had two boys to think of and the man who was generous enough to give you half of his acreage to live on.
“Ay.” He agreed with no disdain in his voice, if anything it was littered with understanding and what you hoped was well, hope.
Your eyelids remained shut as his hand dropped and he walked off the back porch. You heard the car doors close but no words exchanged. If you weren’t dealing with everything that just happened in your head right now you’d be imagining the way Nero was probably lifting his sunglasses while Chibs was lowering his, the nods both would give to eachother, the curious questioning look on Thomas’ face as he tried to place the visitor.
“You alright?” Nero’s voice was filling your ears and you wished it offered up the level of comfort it normally did.
The tears were wiped from your face immediately and you stood and smiled. “Yea, I’m good.”
Nero knew you weren’t but he also knew you weren’t going to share with Thomas two steps from joining you on the porch.
“Who was that?” Thomas was asking as he looked down at the snack he was fidgeting with to open.
Your gaze looked at Nero and said so much while not speaking at all. Before you either had a chance to answer, another voice was coming from the other direction as the back door swung open. “Was that guy on the bike here at the farm?” Abel’s voice was like a knife to your heart.
“Yea, it was someone looking to sell me something.” You lied straight through your teeth to both boys.
“Oh.” Thomas said as he passed by both you and Nero without second guessing your statement and walked right past his older brother into the house.
Abel looked like he might need more convincing but you could tell he decided to drop it. “I’m goin’ out later but I picked up the feed order and left it in the ATV wagon.”
“12AM curfew.” You pointed at him and he waved you off but you knew he’d be back before 1.
“What was he sellin’?” Nero asked you, the only one besides you who knew exactly who it was that was here.
You looked at Nero and shook your head at him.
“A dream.”

My First Night
“You Got This” Masterlist
A/N: Okay I've been wanting to write this for a looooong time and i think I finally figured it out. I wanted this to be tender and sweet (maybe a bit idealized as my first time was NOT any of those). I honestly miss these two. "My First Night" by Mya was the song that inspired this (YT link below).
Update: I fucked up. I prematurely posted this and have now updated the fic.
Rating: E (18+ ONLY)
Word Count: ~1,300
Pairing: Teenager!Jax Teller x Teenager F! Reader/OC (Opie's sister)
Plot: You're finally ready to take the next step with Jax and lose your virginity to him.
Contains: underage teenage sex, first time sex, losing virginity, PiV, fluff and tenderness
Tumblr media
"Are you sure you're ready for this?" Jax asks, his eyes locked on yours.
You stare back and nod your head as you let out a shaky breath.
"It's gonna hurt a lot," he warns you.
"I-I'm ready," you reassure him.
Jax leans down to give you a kiss on your forehead before looking down to align himself with you. You wince as he starts pushing in. He pauses when you emit an unpleasant sound and he then sees your face contort.
"We can stop-"
"No, I want to do this," you tell him.
"Okay," he nods.
He continues to gently push in as he watches for your reactions. You try to control your breathing as you feel yourself being stretched out.
"Ow! Ow!" A tear spills from the corner of your eye.
Jax stills his hips again.
"Okay I'm pulling out-"
"No!" you sniffle. "J-just go slowly. How much more is there?"
Jax glances down between the both of you.
"I only got the tip in."
Jax starts placing butterfly kisses on your face, hoping to help soothe the pain.
"I don't wanna hurt you," Jax reminds you.
He thought he got you wet enough, but now he's thinking maybe he should have prepared you more. He got a bit too excited when you told him you were finally ready to lose your virginity to him. The two of you got comfortable enough to do everything up until sex. He would penetrate you only with his fingers and every time, he would make you orgasm, drenching his hand each time. But this time, he may have not given you enough foreplay, rushing it a bit to finally be able to do this with you. He thought the lubricant on the condom would also help. A lot has to do with teenage hormones, but a part of him also wants to do this with you because he wants to, in his own words, make love to you. You thought that was sweet and it made you feel even more special.
"M-maybe if I smoke some weed or have some beer-" you start rattling off ideas, partly to distract yourself from the slight discomfort between your legs.
"No," Jax shakes his head. "I want you to be sober. I'd feel like I'm taking advantage of you. We can try another time-"
"Please, Jackson," you plead. "I want this."
Jax is torn between his raging hormones and his feelings for you. He's even surprised at himself for having so much self-control right now.
"I gotta go all the way in if you want to get past the pain," he says with his brows turned down.
"I can take it," you nod. "Do it."
Jax finally nods and leans in to give you a tender kiss. He watches your reaction again as he pushes in. You wince but don't make a sound. Another tear slips out from your eye and he frowns.
"Keep going," you tell him.
With that, as gently as possible, he slides himself all the way to the brink, making you gasp. He stays still, letting your body get accustomed to the new sensation.
"Fuck, you're so tight."
You start crying, feeling the burn of getting stretched out.
"I know, I know. I’m sorry." He coaches you and guides you through your first time. "It'll feel better. I promise. Just relax."
He wipes the tears from your face with his thumbs and plants a kiss on your forehead. He then starts kissing you again, making out with you for a bit to distract you from the pain, which subsides after a few moments.
"How are you feeling?" he checks up on you.
"It doesn't hurt as much as anymore," you tell him.
"I'm gonna start going in and out, okay?"
You nod and brace yourself. He gives you another comforting kiss before he starts moving. His hips pull back and push in, slowly and gently. You let out a sigh, taking in this new feeling. When he senses your body in a more relaxed state, he picks up the pacing. The old and worn out wooden bed frame creaks as he rocks. The lumpy mattress that’s probably been stained with so many bodily fluids, dips below you. The clubhouse dorm room isn’t where you imagined your first time, but you and Jax had limited options. With the club on a run and Gemma running errands, this was the best time and place, but it doesn’t matter because all that matters is who you’re with.
You were self conscious of being completely naked for the first time in front of Jax, but all those insecurities have gone away. Instead, it is replaced by the feeling of his naked body rubbing against yours. You feel so connected to him in a way you've never expected. His skin is so soft and smooth. The nerves of your skin get more sensitive with each stroke. You want to embrace him with every inch of your body and stay like this forever. You slip your arms behind him, feeling his bare back under your palms as his muscles flex. The burn between your legs has transformed into a more pleasurable feeling and you can feel yourself getting more aroused. Suddenly, Jax pauses, remaining still while inside of you.
"W-what happened?" you ask, wondering if you may have done something wrong.
"I'm just... pacing myself," he replies. "If I keep going, I'm going to bust in like two pumps."
"I-is that normal?"
"For guys my age? Yeah. But I'm also just over excited. I rubbed one out before I came to see you, but obviously, that didn't help."
You catch him studying your face. There's a smile that reaches his twinkling eyes.
"What?"
"Nothing," Jax shakes his head. He opens his mouth again, but he stops himself.
"What is it?" you press.
He simply slots his mouth over yours before moving his hips again. This time, his pacing is a bit quicker and more forceful. You moan into his mouth feeling a warmth forming below your belly. You instinctively wrap your legs around his lower waist and hook your ankles together. His kisses turn feverish as his thrusts pick up. Your fingernails dig into his back.
"Jackson..." you pant. "It feels so good."
Jax groans as he tries to hold back, delaying his release for you. He shifts his hips, changing up the position a little and you moan when he hits a new spot. A somewhat familiar yet new sensation rapidly multiples.
"Oh god," you yelp. Your body tenses and the tightening in your gut spreads.
"Let it go, darlin'," Jax grunts, resting his forehead against yours. "Let it all go."
He punches up against you as he quickly starts spiraling. You moan and cry out when something inside you snaps and the warmth floods your entire body. Jax lets out a growl and lets himself go as soon as he feels your wall contracting, no longer able to wait. You arch up and look up at him, your face contorting as your orgasm takes over you. You gasp when you feel him pulsating inside you.
"Fuck!" Jax growls.
He continues to pump inside of you until all of his seed spills out and collapses on top of you. His face is buried in your neck as you both catch your breaths. Your heart is pounding hard against your chest and you wonder if Jax can feel it as well.He finally pulls back and looks at you again with that same look he did earlier..
"I love you."
Your heart is so full right now, you can cry.
"I love you, too, Jackson."
In this moment, you are so happy, you are certain there is absolutely nothing that can take it away. Jax nudges his nose against yours and your hands cup his face before your lips meet again.

Word Count: 2,186
Main Masterlist
Jax beams as he watches the woman he's madly in love with hurry around their bedroom, dressed in her black lace bra and panties set, that just so happens to be his favorite, oblivious to him standing there, focused on trying to decide what to wear. His eyes scan her body, stopping on her ass, admiring his third favorite part of her body.
He never imagined falling in love with Y/N Winston, the younger sister of his best friend, but something changed when she left for college. When Y/N left Charming for college, she was just Opie's annoying little sister; but, when she returned four years later, it seemed as though she had completely changed. She was now a woman, not a girl.
Y/N settles on a pair of skintight black jeans and a flowing deep crimson tank top. On the bed, she has her leather jacket that he gifted her for her 21st birthday, laying next to her jeans.  She eventually catches him standing there as she slides her legs into her jeans.  She pulls on her top as he enters the bedroom, a bit disappointed that his second favorite part of her body was now also hidden from him.
After giving him a short kiss, she walks over to her dresser and gathers up her make up bag and hair brush. "I thought we were going to meet up at the clubhouse?"
"Church got out a little early," he muttered, his eyes following her as she entered the ensuite connected to their bedroom. He observes her brushing her H/C hair as he leans against the door frame.
When she put down her hairbrush, he closed the gap between coming up behind her so they're back to chest. He slides his arms around her waist, his fingertips caressing the flesh on her left hip where his crow was inked before resting his hands on her stomach and kissing the side of her head. "I figured I'd be a gentleman and come pick up my old lady."
"You'll be driving the cage," she quips as she looks at him through the mirror.
"I know," He smiles looking back at her, his baby blues meeting her E/C eyes. He takes a step back from her as she starts to apply her makeup.
They got it confirmed last week that Y/N is pregnant again, after speculating that she was a few days before hand. Aside from not being able to ride bitch right now, they haven't told anyone about the pregnancy yet. Being just nine weeks along, they choose to hold off until the second trimester, when the risk of miscarriage is significantly lower. The first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 11 weeks, and it wasn't only them who were devastated by it.
Despite the fact that they are quite certain their family aren't buying into the excuse, they used her being sober driver as an explanation for her abstinence from drinking and riding on the back of Jax's motorcycle. They noticed Gemma, Opie's, Piney's and even Clay's suspicious looks when she would deny a drink or avoid being on the of a motorcycle. Y/N could tell Gemma was the most suspicious and that she was picking up on more than just those two things.
Once Y/N has finished applying her makeup, she exits the bathroom to retrieve her jacket and put it on, with Jax close behind.
"How do I look?" She asks as she slowly spins around, flaunting her appearance.
He closes the gap between them once again, encircling his arms around her waist and planting a scorching kiss to her lips. He smiles as she responds kissing him just as heated as he was.  Nobody else has ever made him feel the way he does when he kisses Y/N. He knows he had the same effect on her as she always left him out of breath. He knew this because of the small moment after their kiss when her eyes remained closed and her lips pouted.
Before letting her go, he quickly kisses her and doesn't say anything as he leads her to the car, locking the front door on their way out of the house.
"I never answered your question," he says as he opens the passenger door for her but blocks her from entering the vehicle. She looks at him puzzled. "You look fuckin' beautiful," he whispers as he kisses her lips again before helping her into the car before getting in himself and driving to the SAMCRO clubhouse.
When Jax pulls into the lot, the music is already booming from the speakers, there is already a strong odor of weed and cigarettes in the air, and beer bottles and cigarette butts are scattered all over the ground. He exits the car as Y/N gets out and meets him at the front of the car. He smiles as she slips her smaller hand into his larger one and laces their fingers together. As they enter the clubhouse, he brings her hand to his lips and gently kisses the back of it.
As soon as they are inside, surrounded by patches, friends of the clubs, old ladies, sweet butts and crow eaters, Jax let's go of her hand and placed his arm around her waist pulling her into his side. A few people stared and scoffed at them, he was unable to control the smirk that grew on his lips. The women envious of Y/N and the men who aren't members of the club wishing they were him.
Jax orders drinks from the prospect behind the bar before noticing Tig and Chibs sitting nearby. He leans close to Y/N to talks to her without having to yell, "Go sit down with Tig and Chibs, and I'll bring the drinks over."
She gives him a quick peck on the cheek and moves over to the table where his SAMCRO brothers are seated. He watches when both men stand up and hug her before she sits down.
He catches a few men glancing in her direction with hungry eyes as he surveys the crowded room. As his gaze returns to her, he suppresses the temptation to pound their faces into the nearest surface. Jax is unsure of what he did to earn her love, but he is glad that he did. He couldn't picture his life without her.
Jax has only ever been in one committed relationship before he got into one with Y/N. Because of Tara's decision to go medical school, his ex-girlfriend ended their relationship but not without trying to convince him to leave with her. He'd been crushed and drowned himself in weed, alcohol, and pussy when he wasn't working his way up in the club.
All of it came to an end when Y/N returned from college.
After she returned home, a lot of things changed for him. Y/N became the reason he stayed awake and alone in bed most nights, her face being the one he saw when he tried to take another girl back to his room. When she wasn't with him, he thought of her constantly, wondering what she was doing and if she was safe. He had to stop himself from calling her every chance that he got  He existed solely for her and the club. Even though the guys made fun of him for being whipped, he didn't know where he'd be without her. He couldn't picture his life without her. He didn't want to.
Jax brings the drinks over to the table and sits in the empty chair next to Y/N's handing her bottle of water to her. She leans in close to him, kissing his cheek once again, and whispers "thank you" as he drapes an arm across the back of her chair.
"Hey, where's my kiss?" Tig is heard asking.
"Not here, but maybe if you ask her," Y/N chuckles, pointing to a brunette crow-eater who is gazing lustfully at the club's resident crazy while wearing next to nothing. "She might give you one."
"You might be right." He smirks, looking in the direction that Y/N is pointing.  He gets out of his chair and moves over to the couch where the crow-eater is seated.
After an hour and a few drinks, Jax glances at Y/N as Chibs walks away, finishing their discussion. He finds her looking back at him with a small smile and love in her eyes. Now that they are alone at the table, he smiles tenderly at her as everything around them fades, Y/N becoming his sole focus for now. He didn't want to admit it, but she had turned him into a love-sick idiot.
"How are you feeling?" She asks, concern in her eyes as she takes in the faint bruise on the side of his head. Moving her hand from his leg, she reaches up and runs her fingers through his hair. This afternoon he'd been hit in the head by some thug the club had to deal with, earning him a nasty headache.  However, it vanished when he took a few painkillers before church. His headache was returning, and the loud music was not helping.
"I feel wonderful," he says trying to ease her worry and kisses her to distract her knowing she'll see right through his bullshit.
"You're an awful liar."
"I know." He offers her a small smile. "My headache's back."
"We don't have to stay. I'm beginning to feel a bit worn out, myself."
"Let's go home," He stands and offers his hand to her, helping her stand up also. They say goodnight to the most of the club members before Y/N makes plans to meet Gemma for lunch the following day. As they exit the building and walk to her car, Jax hands Y/N the keys.
"Take these and lay down." Y/N offers Jax a glass of water and some pain relief she'd snagged from the kitchen on her way to the bedroom. As soon as they walked through the front door, Jax made his way into their bedroom, stripped down to his boxers and climbed into bed while she double checked that everything was locked up and all the lights were off. He takes them as she instructed and leaves the half empty glass of water on the bedside table.
He doesn't move from his upright position while he watches her undress till she is only wearing her bra and panties.
His eyes follow her once more as she walks over to his dresser and picks out one of his SAMCRO shirts before entering the bathroom. A few minutes later, she returns wearing his shirt and with her face make-up free. He continues to observe her as she removes her bra, pulling it from the sleeve of his shirt and discarding it on the chair in the corner of their room. He moves to lay down as she climbs into bed, facing him.
"How's your head?" She softly asks.
"The pain is starting to fade."
"That's good.
"How are you feeling?" he questions, cupping her face and caressing her cheek with his thumb.
"Amazing," she says as her eyelids close, relishing in the tenderness of his touch. "Though I was feeling a bit queasy earlier."
He rolls onto his back to reach his bedside table and switches off the lamp. Y/N moves in closer and places her head on his chest.
With his arm around her holding her close, he kisses the top of her head. "I know I never tell you I love you as much as I should, but I do love you."
"I love you too," She smiles. His spoken 'I love you's' are rare but he didn't have to say it for her to know it's true. Every day, in the smallest things he does for her, he tells her he loves her.
"I don't mean to turn into a huge sap but you're the most wonderful person I know," He kissed the top of her head again. "I don't know what I'd do without you or if anything happened to you."
"I hope we never have to find out."
"Me too." He sighs. A silence falls over them but is soon broken by Jax. "We should get married."
Y/N sits up looking at him in the darkness, a look of shock plastered on her face. "You wanna get married?"
"Yeah I do." he admits. They've never had the marriage talk until now. They hadn't had the baby talk before she got pregnant both times. "We have a good reason to. I love you, you love me and we're going to have a kid." His hand reached under the shirt she was wearing, his fingers brushing the skin of her belly.
She smiles. "Okay, let's get married."
Jax smiles back and pulls her down to him making her giggle. He runs a hand through her hair tucking a few strands behind her ear. "You really are wonderful."
"Just kiss me already," she orders him.
"Sure thing, Darling." he laughs and pulls her into a passionate and mind-blowing kiss that was bound to leave both of them breathless.

Filip “Chibs” Telford x Reader - One Shot
Tumblr media
Gif does not belong to me.
Moved from @spacedbrainnn .
Little Clay.
That’s what they called you, Little Clay. You were the daughter of Teller and Morrow, Jax’s half sister who was untouchable. You were a princess, the pride and joy of Gemma and Clay, and everyone knew not to flirt with you, unless they planned to be intimidated.
And threatened.
That’s why you’d been talking to Chibs. Late night drinks here, a smile there, a wink thrown in the mix and you found yourself festering with feelings for the man twice your age.
But, you couldn’t care less.
You’d never talked about anything exclusive. There were never any lines drawn, anything. So when you saw him with a Crow Eater hanging around his hips, you couldn’t be jealous.
But, everyone else saw it plain as day.
“Oh come on, Clay Jr.” Tig was dancing on your last nerve while you were attempting to finish up an audit for the garage. You sat in Jax’s mechanic shirt while you wrote on a clipboard and typed on your calculator. “Give me one chance.”
“I’m not in the mood, Tiggy.”
“Why do you gotta give me such a hard time?”
“Because I’m a giver. It’s what I do.”
“But one chance. Let me take you out on the dance floor. We can even dance around the shop.”
“I’ve got two left feet.”
“Please—”
“Alexander Trager.” You spat the words colder than you intended and he feigned offense.
“What? Can’t stand to see Scottie have another woman—”
“What about Scottie?” The thick accent boomed throughout the garage as his boots preceded him. You looked up and tried not to show that your heart was pattering for him.
“Nothing. Just talking.” Tig smirked knowingly as he backed up and walked off, a toothpick in his lips as he exited. You looked down at your paper and tried to force yourself to get back to work.
“Lass? He givin’ ye a hard time?” His accent was undeniably bouncing around in your head while you tried to focus, unsuccessfully, due to his intense stare.
“No more than usual.” You replied to him as your pen marked against the paper, before you looked at the calculator.
“Ye sure?”
“I’m sure.” You didn’t give him that pretty smile you normally did. Hell, you didn’t even hardly look at him.
“What’s the matter, sweetheart?”
“Nothing.”
“Ye can’t lie ta me like that.”
“I’m not lying.”
It was becoming a war of who was more stubborn, who would outlast. He gave a sigh before you heard the flick of the lighter, then cigarette smoke filled the air and you felt the scent of tobacco wash over you.
“Ye can’t lie ta me.”
“I’m not lying, Chibs.”
That’s when he knew. He was always Filip to you. Always.
“Tell me what’s eatin’ that pretty li’l head up.”
Sighing, exasperated, you gave up. Dropping your pen down, you stared up at him as it clattered and rolled off the desk.
“What are we?”
“Whataya mean?”
“I mean, what the hell are we? You can’t tell me we’re just friends. You can’t tell me that we haven’t been shamelessly flirting, dancing around the idea that we’re not something. It doesn’t make any sense.”
Your eyes searched his dark ones as he sighed, before he took another drag of the cigarette.
“Lassie, ye’re…”
“Half your age. I know. I don’t care. What are we?”
“What do ye want us to be?”
“More than this. I want you to not have fucking women—”
You were cut off by his little smirk. “Is that what this is about? The women?”
“Shut up.”
His smirk widened before he leaned forward and pressed a kiss to your forehead. “I’m yers, sweetheart. I’m yers.”

Love Me Like You Do
Juice Ortiz X Reader Fic
*Hello my dears! Please be patient with me as this is my 1st SOA fic! Thought I’d try it out here with you wonderful peeps! Now, a little about this story:
Reader is Opie’s half little sister (we’re going to say they share Piney as a dad, she has a different mother than Ope)
She returns home to Charming to own her own business
Reader is plus sized (since that is what I identify as and can write from personal experience)
This may not follow the seasons. It’s an idea that popped in my head from the song it’s named after. I hope you enjoy it! Please, feedback is appreciated!*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~He was the missing piece I didn’t know I needed until he walked into my life. The day I returned home, that’s when I met him. That was the day my life changed. ~
I stood in the middle of the old building, just coming from signing the paperwork to make it mine, for a cheap price I might add, from the old man who used to own it. I couldn’t help but smile. My smile grew bigger as I heard the motorcycles pulling up out front. This is what I had been waiting for.
My back was still turned to the doors as they opened, sending a ray of sunlight in, illuminating the place better.
“We’re looking for the new owner of this old place. Know where I can find him?” A deep voice boomed in the almost empty space.
I chuckled. “Yeah, but it’s not a him. I just bought it off of old man Sinsom.”
“I know that voice.”
“Me,too.”
I smiled as I turned to see my older half brother Opie and his best friend, Jax, standing in front of Jax’s stepfather.
“Hello, boys. It’s good to see you.”
Opie laughed as he strode over and pulled me into a hug. “(Y/N)! When did you get back?”
“Today. Well, last night actually. Drove up so I could sign the papers making this place mine.” I waved my hands around me.
“It’s good to see you, Darlin.” Jax said as he hugged me tight.
“You, too.” I stood back and looked at them. “I see you grew up and got VP Teller.”
Jax nodded. “Yeap.”
I looked at the other guys standing behind them. “Well, I’ll be damned! Is that Tiggy?”
Tig smiled and opened his arms. “Hey, baby. It’s good to see you all grown up.”
I gave him a hug, him being my second favorite when I grew up around here. “It’s only been three years since I last seen you.”
“Hi, Bobby. It’s good to see you, too.”
“You, too, sweetheart. You’re old man’s gonna have a fit when he sees you.”
“Speaking of, where is he?”
Bobby nodded his head towards the door. “He’s comin’. Takes him a few to get around with the oxygen.”
Just then, the doors opened and in walked Piney. The man still looked the same as he did three years ago. I couldn’t help the smile on my face when I seen him.
“Hi, daddy.”
“My god. (Y/N). You’re back. Come here, sweetheart.” He smiled.
I gave him a hug and just held him. I had missed him the last few years, I missed them all. He held me in front of him by my shoulders and looked me up and down. “Still as beautiful as ever.”
“Oh, Opie. You didn’t tell me he’d went senile.”
Opie laughed. “He gets that way sometimes.”
“What? No love for me? I’m wasting away over here.”
I turned to see Clay with an arrogant smirk on his face. I gave him a quick hug. “It’s good to see you, Clay. How’s Gemma?”
He shrugged. “She’s good. Be glad to see you.”
I nodded. Before I could say anything else, there was the sound of someone clearing their throat.
“Oh, shit. Sorry, man. (Y/N), this is Juice. He’s been with us a few years now. Juice, this is my baby sister, (Y/N).” Opie said as he wrapped an arm around my shoulder.
I held out my hand to the younger of them. “Nice to meet you.”
He nodded. “You, too.”
He took my hand and I swore I could feel electricity run through my fingers at his touch. I cleared my throat and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear.
“So, sweetheart, what brings you back to Charming?” Dad asked.
“Well, I came back to get a new start. Mom’s pissed at me. Grandfather passed away a few months ago and left me everything. And I mean everything. She got pissed when he left her out the will. Saying, and I quote, ‘I leave all my monetary and physical possessions, including the house and vehicles, to my only granddaughter, who was my world when no one else loved me in my final years. To my daughter, I leave you with nothing but the hopeful guilt you feel for abandoning your family. May you rot in hell.’”
“Holy shit! Seriously?” Jax asked, amused.
I nodded. “Yeap. And the best part is, she cannot touch anything. I sold the house after he died. It was just us the last three years and I wanted to come home. So I sold the house and all but one car.”
“So, what are you doing with this old place?” Clay asked.
“I’m going to do what I’ve always wanted to do. Own my own business. And what better way than to open up a roadside bar on the outskirts of Charming?”
“Really? That’s what you’ve always wanted to do?” Tig asked.
“Yeah. Got my business degree online while I was taking care of Grandfather and took all the right courses to get all my licenses. Found this place while looking to come home and here I am.”
“What do you need from us, darlin?”
“Some labor. I got to get this place up to code. I’m calling tomorrow to get people in here to work on the wiring and the old kitchen. I just need some help to take everything out and clean up. Plus I got to find a tech wizard to help me set up security cameras.”
“We can do that. Got a prospect that can come and we got our own tech wizard.” Jax clapped Juice in the shoulder. “Juice here is the best when it comes to all that techy shit.”
I looked at the young Puerto Rican and smiled. “Well, Juice, looks like the two of us will become friends if your as good as they say you are.”
He gave me a shy smile. “Yeah. Maybe so.”
I clapped my hands together. “Well, as wonderful as this family reunion is, I want a shower and some takeout.”
“Where you staying?” Dad asked.
“Place has a little house out back. It’s semi furnished enough to stay in tonight until my stuff arrives tomorrow.”
“Why don’t you come to the house. Surprise Donna and the kids. Have dinner with us.”
“Okay. I’ll be there. Seven?”
Opie nodded. “Yeah. See you tonight.” He hugged me and kissed the side of my head.
After hugging all the guys, minus Juice, I waved them off, noticing Juice was the last one out. I smiled to myself as I walked out the back door to my little apartment house to get ready for dinner.
Four: This Is a Matter Of Life Or Death
Charles Leclerc x Nova Teller (OC)
Till The Wheels Fall Off Masterlist
Small town meets the fast lane. What happens when two souls meet? Will it end in happiness or will they both crash and burn?
A/N: I know I disappeared off the face of the earth and the reason for that is my business went viral last week, we sold 600 f1 driver advent boxes and had around 450 orders within a couple of days 🥺 so all of my time is working on making the boxes and items for orders
As always reblogs and feedback is highly appreciated ❤️ if you want tagging in future parts let me know ❤️
Tumblr media
Leaning against the headboard I couldn’t tear my gaze from the laptop screen, everything about this evening was playing on my mind. The main thing was Chibs’ words, they were ringing loud in my head, “you never know who might be in the bar tonight.”
I felt like I had been waiting an eternity for this stupid laptop to load the security camera program, all I saw on the screen was the fucking blue circle of doom. Growling in frustration, I pushed the laptop off my knees, rolling out of bed using the torch on my phone to guide me making sure I didn’t wake anyone up. There was only one thing that was going to get me through the night and that was a strong cup of black coffee and knowing my luck the laptop would take about another hour to load up.
Why couldn’t it work when I needed it to?
I could have used the app on my phone but the image would be too small for me to confirm if everything was true. Running my fingers through my messy hair I carefully navigated the dark hallway, trying to dodge the piles of laundry and trainers that were scattered about, making a mental note that the Tellers needed to get better at laundry and maybe some laundry hampers whilst we were at it.
As I made it to the kitchen, I pushed the thoughts of the housework out of my mind, I let out a sigh of relief as I switched the under cabinet light on, I had successfully made it downstairs without waking anyone.
I needed to know the truth, was Charles Leclerc in my bar or not?
Swiping Jax’s crumpled pack of smokes from the countertop I slipped outside onto the back patio, the only sound that could be heard was the crickets in the forest. In a way it was relaxing but also extremely creepy. Most days I found myself waking up before the sun. No matter how exhausted I was, I always spent an hour before I needed to start getting ready for work snuggled under a blanket on the outdoor sofa with a large mug of coffee and a pack of cigarettes.
It was the only time I didn’t have anyone asking me things or needing me to do something.
Ever since Elenor was born I had gotten used to being the glue that held everything together. Family meant everything to me so if someone needed me I was there without a second thought, even though I was never rarely alone I still found myself getting lonely if I spent too long contemplating life whilst watching the sunrise. So I tried to limit my time to only an hour a morning otherwise the voices in my head got too loud.
Placing the cigarette between my teeth I let my eyes flutter closed as I lit it, I kept telling myself I would quit but I just couldn’t bring myself to ditch the habit. There was something about stepping outside to have a smoke that calmed me down no matter the situation. Leaning against the brick wall I let out a pathetic laugh, realizing the moment I got home I automatically put on my Ferrari hoodie. If it was true, we had two formula one drivers staying in town there was no way I was going to be seen wearing team merch.
The beeping from the kitchen pulled me from my thoughts. Taking one final drag, I tossed the half-smoked cigarette into the metal pot that was kept by the back door, slipping back inside, making sure to lock up before pouring myself a large mug of black coffee.
Soon enough I found myself back on my bed, the laptop sitting on top of the duvet, my legs crossed whilst I waited for the program to load.
Finally, the damn thing opened up, the main screen of the program was staring back at me causing my heart rate to spike, this was the moment of truth as I moved the cursor over to the playback section. Taking a deep breath, I finally took the courage to get the information that would put my mind at ease. Scrolling through the day I let the footage play from the moment me and Jax left for the dirt track. I couldn’t pull my eyes from the screen as I watched the events of this evening unfold before me.
I practically felt my heart stop the moment two guys walked into the bar, the image wasn’t the best because of someone blocking the view but in my heart I knew it was them. I had spent way too many years watching them on TV as they went around the paddock, doing press conferences and interviews to not recognise them.
Pausing the footage I squeezed my eyes closed, taking a few deep breaths. Pops wasn’t losing his mind and Bobby was telling the truth. I felt like an idiot for not believing them. The room felt like it was spinning as I pressed play again, the moment I came on screen reciting the commentary I wanted the ground to open up, swallowing me whole. I had made a complete fool of myself and there he was, Charles Leclerc, watching intently as I did so.
Why the fuck didn’t Chibs tell me he was in the bar when I asked him if there was anything I should know?
I was about to slam the laptop closed when something made me pause. I felt my eyes fill with tears as I watched Charles and Pierre chat with Pops like they had been lifelong friends. I had no idea what they were talking about but seeing Pops talk with his hands, along with the large smile that was on his face caused my chest to tighten. It had been months since I saw him like this, this year's storm season had taken its toll on all of us.
Slamming the laptop closed I felt like I wanted to scream. The sound of my alarm screeching from beside me caused me to tap my phone screen, squinting at the brightness, realizing I had been up all night, completely losing track of time from replaying the security footage back for the last couple of hours. Running my hands over my face, I let out a heavy sigh knowing I needed to be at the cafe to get everything set up for opening within the next hour and a half, at least I was in the right place to keep downing coffee.
First, I needed to go strangle a certain Scottsman.
The next hour flew by and before I knew it I found myself standing on Chibs’ front porch, my fist pounding against the wooden door, not caring who I woke up.
“Filip Telford, get you fucking ass out here now!” I shouted up to the open window, which I knew was his bedroom. I didn’t stop knocking on the door until he finally appeared in front of me, wearing nothing but a pair of sweatpants. I didn’t care that I had just woken him or the entire neighborhood up, I needed answers.
“You better have a good reason for not telling Charles fucking Leclerc was in my bar last night?” I snapped, pushing by him letting myself into his house.
“Nova, it is the middle of the night,” Chibs huffed, softly closing the door behind me.
“Actually, it’s four forty-five,” I said, rolling my eyes, “now quit avoiding my question.”
“Lass, this isn’t life or death!” he said with a god damn smirk, knowing it would just piss me off.
“You know damn well that to me this is a matter of life or death, I walked into the bar reciting commentary word for fucking word and you did nothing to stop me.”
“Take a breath,” he whispered, placing his hands on my shoulders, stopping me from wearing out his flooring by pacing around the kitchen. “I tried to drop hints, but you weren’t getting them. We didn’t tell you because we all knew how you would act.”
“I would have acted cool, calm and collected,” I defended, receiving nothing but a raised brow from Chibs. “Fine, okay I would have lost my shit,” I finally admitted.
“Exactly,” he laughed, taking a step back, “look Nova, the boys are staying for the summer break and I got the impression they wanted a low key get away. Somewhere they won’t get hounded as they walk the streets.”
My heart was racing as I let my fingers tangle into my hair, how was I meant to cope that there were two formula one drivers wandering around the town, let alone my favorite one, the one I had a massive crush on.
“This isn’t over, Telford!” I scolded, pushing my way past him. “I’ve gotta get to work,” reaching the front door I wrapped my fingers around the doorknob, letting out a heavy sigh, “this is gonna be a long fucking four weeks.”
I didn’t give him a chance to respond before I scurried out of the house; I was so close to freaking out it was unbelievable. I had no idea how I was going to get through the shift at the cafe, I was hoping that once I had opened up and a few of the girls had arrived, I could go home and get some sleep.
Tumblr media
“Did you get any sleep at all last night?” Jax asked, his expression showed how concerned he was about me as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder whilst I leant against the bar.
“Nope,” I admitted quietly, shaking my head. “I was planning on face planting my bed once the girls arrived at the cafe but it’s like the universe has it out for me right now.” I sighed, resting my head against my brother’s shoulder. “The supplier fucked up the delivery, only turning up with half of my order, apparently they are saying they brought what I selected. When I know damn well I didn’t miss anything off.”
Jax let out a heavy sigh, running his spare hand over his face. He knew the issues that had been happening with our main supplier and he was just as angry as me about it, especially when they were still charging us the full amount for half an order.
“Don’t worry about the supplier, Squirt, I will deal with them,” he said with a half smile on his face. “Promise me, you will get some sleep tonight. Pops is having a good day so clock off in a couple of hours.”
I knew Jax was trying to look after me but there was no way I could dip out of working the bar early. Especially when tonight was quiz night, it was something that everyone loved. Every week the place was busy with locals wanting to take part.
“Don’t even try to protest, me and Chibs can manage. Wendy and Nero have also said they can help out with the quiz so we have plenty of people to cope,” Jax hummed, pressing a kiss against the top of my head. “The last thing I need is my little sister burning herself out to the point she collapses from exhaustion, ending up in hospital again.”
“Awwww, you do care,” I teased, wiggling out of his grasp as the first group of locals piled into the bar.
“Let’s not go shouting it to the world. I do have a reputation to keep,” Jax smirked, crouching down to grab two beers out of the fridge. “Now how are you coping with Leclerc and Gasly being in town? Chibs said he thought you were going to kill him this morning?”
“How am I coping?” I scoffed, gladly accepting the beer from Jax. “How do you think I’m fucking coping?” I said, cocking my brow at him. “That’s the reason I didn’t get any sleep last night, everyone, including yourself, thought it would be a good idea to keep it from me.”
The reaction I got from Jax was one I wasn’t expecting, the bastard started laughing. “All I’m gonna say, Squirt, is we know how much you like Charles,” he winked, nodding his head to the main entrance of the bar, “speak of the devil, he’s just walked in.”
“Lord help me!” I pleaded, running my hand over my face.
It was like the weight of the world came crashing down on me, pinning me to the floor, I couldn’t move from the spot I was standing in. All I could do was watch Charles and Pierre stroll into the bar. I flashed them both a friendly smile; it was the only movement I could do right now.
They both scanned the room and as soon as they spotted Pops sitting in his booth with Elenor they made a b-line to him, instantly sliding onto the sofas, settling in like they had known JT for years. I didn’t miss the smile that Pops had, he was practically beaming, moving my gaze to Elenor, I swear she was going to burst as she realized who had joined them in the booth. Her eyes were as wide as saucers and she was physically buzzing with excitement. However, what shocked me the most was when Pops jumped up from his seat, full of life, guiding them all towards the bar.
“Just act normal, don’t freak out,” Jax whispered in my ear, before disappearing into the kitchen. Of course the asshole would abandon ship right now, leaving me to actually speak to them. Closing my eyes I focused on the noise of the room, trying to drown out the thumping sound of my heart.
Take a deep breath, girl, you got this.
Letting my eyelids flutter open I needed to find something to distract myself, scanning the bar I noticed some empty glasses were building up, leaning down I quickly grabbed the black plastic tub busying myself with removing them from the counter.
“Charles, Pierre, I would like you to meet my beautiful daughter,” Pops grinned as he approached the bar, before crouching down to lift Elenor onto the stool.
“Hey,” I said with my best customer service smile, one I had perfected over the years “What can I get you to drink?” the fact I didn’t stumble over my words surprised me.
“Can I get a beer, please?” Elenor said in her deepest voice possible.
“When you turn 21, my little cub,” I smirked, leaning over tapping her nose causing her to giggle. “Until then it’s fruit juice for you,” I hummed, reaching over and grabbing the plastic bottle from the mini fridge on the bar top before placing it in front of her.
“So boys, what’s your poison?” I asked, moving to grab Pops’ favorite mug. I didn’t need to ask him what he wanted, it was always black coffee.
“Just two beers please ma chérie my darling,” Charles said with a smile that made me feel weak at the knees. Thank fuck I was leaning against the bar otherwise I would have been a mess on the floor.
This was gonna be a long four weeks.
Happy Lowman & Juice Ortiz & Platonic!Reader Jax Teller & Teller!Sister Reader Opie Winston x Teller!Sister Reader
Day 22 from these April Prompts: Chalk Drawings
Summary: When Happy and Juice are on protection duty and the AC is broken you and the kids take to the outside to escape the sweaty prison that’s Jax’s house as you wait for your brother and partner to come home.
Words: 1.9k
A/N: I’ve been having a rough couple of days so I’m not really sure what this is but, I hope you all enjoy! lol.
Warnings: pretty fluffy (for me and my writing lol), reader has a daughter with Opie (no name given), no use of Y/N, slight angst/tension, alludes to death/murder slightly, nothing that’s not canon-level.
It was a beautiful summer afternoon, the sun was shining, there were fluffy clouds in the sky that were shaped like cotton candy. The only downside was that the California heat had no mercy and apparently neither did Jax’s air conditioner. It had broken early in the morning and by the afternoon the whole place felt like a sauna. Fans and open windows did nothing against the real feel of 93 degrees and there were only so many popsicles you willingly wanted to give to all the kids. This is what brought you outside on the driveway that had been covered by shade all day so it was luckily not burning hot. You had the full Winston x Teller group today, Kenny, Ellie, Abel, and your 3 year old daughter with Opie. The club was in partial lockdown due to business with the Cartel. Partial lockdown usually just meant no one was left alone, everyone who was someone had protection on them, which meant it was easier for people to stay in groups. Hence why you had all the kids right now. Gemma was out with Tara grocery shopping for the house and had taken Tig with them just to keep a close eye. This left you with Juice and Happy while Jax and Opie went on a run together with a few of the other guys.
The sprinkler was going on the grass, something for the kids to run through if they got too hot, but currently the group of them were on the driveway drawing with chalk. Abel and Kenny had paired up leaving your daughter to rest in between your legs with a piece of chalk in her hands while Ellie sat to your left doing the same. You started doodling with one of the pieces of chalk that was scattered along the driveway to pass the time as well while Happy and Juice leaned against their bikes, keeping watch all of you.
“You wanna get your hands dirty?” You held up the pink piece of chalk and called out to the two bikers.
Juice was quick to smile but deny the request, his way of trying to look tough. You clocked it immediately because just yesterday he was eating a spongebob popsicle off the ice cream truck when he was the only one on your watch detail.
“Yes I do.” Happy said instantly and eagerly as he pushed off his bike. He was quick to grab the chalk from you and begin doodling on the pavement. You thought you’d be shocked at his instant agreement to join you on the ground with the pastel art tools but surprisingly, it was exactly what you expected. Happy knelt on the pavement, one knee touching the ground while the other was being used as an armrest for the arm that wasn’t creating a chalk masterpiece.
“C’mon Juice.”  You nodded your head to wave him over.
“Yea, c’mon Juice!” Your daughter called out with a smile.
You smirked at that and so did Juice as he walked over to you both. The little girl in your lap holding out the pink piece of chalk up to the biker.
“Thanks,” His smirk not falling as he grabbed the chalk from the girl.
“S’my favorite color.” She beamed at you and said the color’s name to show how smart she was. “Pink.”
“It’s Juice’s too.” You teased and patted to the free space next to you as he shook his head and blushed. “Show me what you got, Juicy.”
He started drawing stick figures, graffiti words, tribal drawings like his tattoos.
“Can you draw me a flower?” Your daughter was quick to crawl out of your lap and sit in front of Juice.
“I can try.” He began to try and draw some version of a flower, although it was looking more like a blob.
“That’s not very good.” She tilted her head and frowned at it.
You called out your daughters name, a warning to be nice although it didn’t do much.
“Why does your hair look like that.” She asked as she drew over Juice’s flower creating her own masterpiece.
Juice practically spit out the sip of water he just took at the girl’s question.
“Why don’t you go see what Abel and Kenny are drawing, huh? Go ask Happy your questions.” You interrupted to give Juice a break. The girl shrugged and skipped her way over to the other group on the driveway. You knew Happy could handle the questions and would give them right back which entertained her.
“Can you teach me how to draw that?” You heard her voice behind you as she stood over Happy’s shoulders.
“I sure can.” He nodded and handed her the yellow piece of chalk before the sounds of the chalk hitting the pavement filled the air.
“Mommy look!” She called out and you turned to see the tons of smiley faces drawn on the ground, some smiling, some crying, some grinning. Your eyes jumped to Happy and back to the drawings a few times. No one came out and told you what Happy’s name meant, but being a Teller you had been around the clubhouse enough to see Happy hit the ring which meant seeing the array of smiley tats across his lower abdomen. It didn’t take a genius to put it together.
You weren’t sure if you wanted to laugh or be mortified, the kids had no idea what it meant but there was a part of you that felt like there was something eerie about it.
“Nice drawings.” Your eyebrows raised at him with a smirk as your nostrils flared.
Happy smiled, oblivious to your sarcasm and nodded.
The sound of motorcycle engines filled the air, but there was no sign of who it was yet. Happy and Juice quick to stand up, Happy picking up your young daughter while you got up as well. He handed the girl to you before walking to the end of the driveway with Juice. As you situated the girl in your arms you began to walk near the garage door and called the rest of the kids over to you. There was a pit in your stomach, you grabbed your nephew and placed him behind you and told Kenny and Ellie to do the same as you guided them as well, using yourself as a human shield to them as you typed in the code to the garage door.
The bikes got closer and as the sound got louder so did your thumping heart. The garage door was taking its sweet time to open, you tried your best to keep your wits about you as to not scare the kids but it was hard when Happy and Juice were reaching for there pieces.
“Let’s play a game!” Your head snapped to the kids as the garage door opened. “Go inside and we’ll play hide-n-seek! Only rule is you MUST stay in the house. You hide and I’ll find you!”
The kids giggled and immediately ran inside the house, your daughter wasn’t eager to leave your arms to play so you kept her in your grip, her head rested on your shoulder which soon dropped in relief as you saw the reaper on the bikes that were approaching. You recognized both bikes, your brother and Opie’s. A breath you didn’t realize you had been holding in let out and you closed your eyes in reassurance.
Happy and Juice fell back quickly too, their relief looking a little different than your own. As both men pulled up to the curb and backed their bikes up, you started to walk down the driveway. Opie walked over to Happy and Juice likely to fill in the crew on what had just happened while Jax walked up to you.
“You look like you just saw a ghost.” His long blond hair blew in the hot heat as his smirk grew.
“I thought I was about to become one.” The only reason you let the joke out was because within the few minutes of your daughter being in your arms she had fallen asleep.
He frowned and picked his hand up to tuck your daughters hair behind her ear.
“I’ve been on edge, heard the bikes.” You shook your head and looked down.
“We figured it all out, we’re fine, you’re safe.” His eyes jumped from yours to the girl in your arms, “all of you.”
Jax’s eyes looked down at the concrete to see the chalk drawings on the ground, clocking the smiley faces immediately and let out a chuckle.
“Really, Hap?” Jax called out to the man who smiled and nodded.
At this point, Opie was walking over, his tall body standing over you in seconds as he placed a kiss on your head.
“Hey, you okay?” His brows furrowed picking up on your tension.
“We spooked her.” Jax teased you as he pinched your elbow.
Opie’s eyes moved back to yours looking for confirmation.
“I’m fine.” You argued and looked up to Opie who smiled knowing that the sibling rivalry was coming through in your short worded sentence.
“Where the kids?” He asked still smiling.
“Inside, I told them we’re playing hide-n-seek if you want to go find them.” You knew both men would pick up on the fact you told them to hide and probably why but before either of them could get to the bottom of why you were so on edge besides the obvious, your daughter was stirring awake.
“Look who's here.” You whispered to her as she sat up in your arms and you turned so she could see her father.
“Hi Daddy.” Her voice was still half asleep.
“Hi baby.” Opie’s arms extended out so he could grab her. “I drew smileys with Happy.” She rested her head against his shoulder in an attempt to go back to sleep. Opie looked down at the pavement and then back to you.
“She also asked Juice about his haircut.” You crossed your arms.
“It looks funny.” She said still at a mumble causing Opie and Jax to laugh.
“I think it does too.” Jax started to walk inside the house. “Ready or not, here I come!” He called out but you knew he was going to grab a drink and a snack from the kitchen before he started to look for the kids.
“I guess next time we’ll keep Hap with us.” Opie teased as you both started to walk inside while the sound of Juice and Happy’s bikes started. You turned to wave goodbye to both of them before looking back at Opie as you made your way into the garage.
“Nah, he might be insane but he’s good with the kids and having him around actually puts me at ease.”
“If this is you at ease, I’d hate to see you tense.” Opie teased you again as the garage door closed.
“Why don’t you and this jelly bean here go look for the kids.” Your arms still crossed as your eyes rolled.
“You wanna go find Abel, Ellie, and Kenny?” Opie bounced up and down to wake up his daughter. “I’ll give you a popsicle if you find them all.” His voice raised as he incentivized the girl who was suddenly wide awake.
“Let’s go!!!” She kicked as he placed her down and she hit the ground running. “C’mon Mom, let’s go!!!” She called out to you.
Opie smirked and threw his arm around you, “yea, let’s go.”
I Almost Told You That I Loved You Ch. 11
Chapter 10 | IATYTILY Masterlist | Chapter 12
A/N: It's slowly coming together! This isn't beta'd.
Rating: T
Word Count: 1,4k
Pairing: Jax Teller x F! reader
Plot: This takes place shortly after Tara leaves Charming. You start working at Teller-Morrow and an unlikely and messy relationship forms between you and Jax.
Warnings: None
Tumblr media
You had scheduled the next two days off of work to focus on school. You have a big exam coming up and a paper due and you want to make sure you pass. It works out anyways because honestly Jax is the last person you want to see and he would be a major distraction from your studies, and not in a good way. You don't know what the hell happened yesterday that made Jax do a 180. Maybe he's just an asshole through and through and nothing he ever says or does actually means anything.
You take a break from studying to go make a grocery store run. As you're digging through your purse for your car keys, you find a strip of folded paper at the bottom. You pull it out and unfold it to see a phone number staring at you. Before making an early exit yesterday, you had ran into Will again and he gave you his phone number. You were never interested in him, but he seems like a nice guy. If there is someone to get romantically involved with, it should be him, but based off your short track record, nice guys are far from your radar. It might be time to change that. You deserve better. You had already decided you weren't going to bother calling him when he had given you his number, but you reluctantly shove the piece of paper back into your purse and head out.
***
As you're strolling down the cereal aisle, you pause to look for the Raisin Bran for your aunt. It's not where you usually find it. Your eyes then spot them up high on the top shelf. You try to reach up for it on your tiptoes. Who's bright idea was it to move them here?
"Hey, you need a hand?"
You turn your head and find Frankie standing a few feet away from you, holding a box of cereal of his own. You're surprised at running into him and the instant shift in his facial expression makes you realize he didn't seem to recognize you either until he saw your face.
"Yeah, that would be great," you flash him a smile.
Frankie walks over and reaches up to grab a box for you.
"Thanks!" You take it from him and put it in your basket.
"No problem. Didn't know you live in this side of town," Frankie says.
"Yeah. You live around here too?"
"Nah, my moms and baby sister does. Just picking up some things for them." He lifts up the box of fruity cereal in his hand. "So how are you doing? I didn't see you at Gemma's fundraiser yesterday."
"Oh, I left early. I wasn't really feeling well," you lie. "Plus, I have some homework to do and a big test coming up, so I wanted to get a head start on studying."
"You're smart. I like that," he nods while tapping his temple with his forefinger. "Don't meet too many broads like you."
You find Frankie charming in his own way, despite his interesting choice of vocabulary.
"Hey, you wanna maybe grab a cup of coffee some time?" You ask spontaneously.
"Nah, I don't do coffee," Frankie shakes his head. "Always gives me the jitters, like I did a line of coke."
You look back at him with a slight tilt to your head, amused.
"Okay, how about dinner? Just you and me..."
"OHHH," Frankie replies with wide eyes, shifting his weight to his other leg, realizing what you meant. "Listen, I'm really really flattered, but you're Jax's girl. You're untouchable." He raises his arms up in defeat.
“I’m not Jax’s girl,” you chuckle. “We're not together, together. We're just... fucking around," you explain.
"Not from what I see and hear. If he hasn't passed you around to any of us, it means he doesn't want nobody touching you," Frankie states. "That man doesn't play when it comes to his property.”
It takes you a moment to process this new information. You have so many questions.
"First of all, I am nobody's property. Second, what did you mean by he didn't pass me around to you guys? He... he does that with all the girls he sleeps with?"
"Yeah, I mean, usually he's wham, bam, thank you ma'am!" Frankie salutes. "And then he doesn't care anymore. Unless someone calls dibs first. He respects that."
You're not sure what to make of all this. It makes you feel uneasy and disgusted to hear all this, but at the same time, it makes absolutely no sense. Jax's actions and words have not matched up to what Frankie has imparted to you, but then again, Jax's actions and words have always contradicted each other.
"Well, I'm not Jax's girl, regardless of what you see or hear," you tell him with your hand on your waist.
Frankie simply shrugs.
"Look, as long as you're still fucking Jax, our interactions can't be anything more than friendly. I don't mean friendly friendly either," he explains.
"I see. Well, it was nice running into you, Frankie. Thanks for the help," you point to the cereal box in your basket.
"Of course. See you around," he nods and  you both start walking away, but you stop and turn.
"Wait!"
Frankie turns back.
"What happened between him and Tara?"
"Sorry, sweetheart. It ain't my story to tell," Frankie shakes his head and walks off.
***
Your first day back at work was pretty standard. It was easy avoiding Jax  all day since him and Opie were out doing club stuff. As you gather your things to get ready to leave, you hear motorcycles pulling into the lot. You walk over to the window to check. Great, the club's back.
You quickly grab all your things and walk to your car. As you do so, you pass behind the row of motorcycles that just pulled up. A few people notice you and greet with a nod. You politely nod back as you continue your way to your car. You accidentally make eye contact with Jax when he takes his helmet off. You instantly look away and focus on your car which is only a few feet away.
When you get into the driver's side you start the car and wait a few moments. You look out the passenger side window to look towards Jax, but don't see him. A sudden knock on your window startles you. You look over and see Jax waving at you. You roll down the window and he leans his arms against the top of the car, dipping his head down in the open space.
"Hey," he greets.
"Hey," you reply flatly.
"Just wanted to give this back to you. You left it at my place." Jax pulls a hair clip out from his pocket and hands it to you.
You glance down at it, staring at it for a moment before taking it from him.
"Thanks," you simply say, then get ready to back your car up.
"Wait!"
You look over to him, waiting for him to say something.
"What are you doing this Friday?"
"Excuse me?" you ask, not sure if you heard correctly.
"You wanna hang out Friday?" he looks away as he asks.
"Do you want to hang out on Friday?" you shoot back.
"Yeah, I do," he nods, then pauses. "Um... Ope told me about your classmate."
When you had bumped into Opie on the way out of the fundraiser, he apologized to you on Jax's behalf and you explained to him the same you did with Frankie - you and Jax are not exclusive. You also mentioned to him that Will was just a classmate and there was nothing going on, not that it's any of Jax's business anyways.
"What about him?" you ask curiously.
"Nothing," he shrugs. "Are we good?"
"Are we good?" you ask back.
"I am if you are," he says.
"What if I'm not?"
"Look I..." Jax looks around as he tries to find the words. "Can we talk about this Friday?"
You look at him for a few moments deciding.
"JAX! COME ON! WE GOT CHURCH!" someone yells out to him.
"Give me a minute!" He looks over the roof of the car and shouts before dipping his head back down to you.
"Okay, fine," you blurt out.
A genuine smile plays upon his face.
"Great. See you tomorrow," he winks, then slaps the roof of your car and back away.
You throw him a smile and he watches as you pull out of the lot.
