Favorite thing about Dracula Daily so far is that yesterday I read a post that had in-depth, well-researched analysis that could easily be mistaken for a published literary criticism of Dracula, except it casually makes a passing reference to "the polycule" without feeling the need to elaborate

The Dracula protags are kinda in my head rn for some reason. Jonathan‘s such a sweetheart. Mina’s such an icon. Seward is such a cringefail loser. They’re just so silly. But it’s a CRIME that in that entire book Seward does not get a singular proper hug. My guy needed it. That lad was holding on by a thread the entire time. It’s ok bro. You’re a wee bit mentally unstable. Stop overthinking and sleep for a minute. Arthur gets all the sobbing sessions even van Helsing gets his sobbing session but where is my favourite pathetic guy Dr. John Seward’s sobbing session. In my Heart he had one and was just too embarrassed to note it down.

Given my research that a single wax cylinder could only record two minutes' worth of audio and each one cost 50 cents in the 1890s, which would be equivalent to almost $20 USD today, someone should tally up the final run-time of Seward's phonograph diary entries and calculate how much he blew on wax cylinders just for whatever was included in the compiled documents.
