anyway tony got me thinking but i just gotta tell yall that in the game i dm, there is a pc (tony) who is an alligator folk named leatherheart. he is big and gruff. he is every bit a fighter. his wife is an elf woman named illyanna who is a princess turned barbarian. they love each other very much.

we did a mini-session where leatherheart had to stop his wife from being married off for a political marriage against her will and the entire campaign was just this

Creating leather bags also means you will have lots of remains of leather. Since I do not like to waste this beautiful material, I always try to find a new purpose for these pieces of leather. The large pieces I use for making (zip)wallets, bag charms, tassels, cable organizers, etc. But since I have a few heart shaped punches, I even save the most smallest pieces. I use them for making key charms or to decorate my gift wrapped items. But he was caught in the moment.

Not malicious! Never malicious. But Jackson was a teenager, in that phase where he was easily embarrassed, and easily found reasons to be embarrassed for others. Maria and Ray teased, playfully, and so did Felicia, little comments about his upbringing, about characters they’d seen on TV. Kitten was the only one that just sat and listened – but she was little. It was only a matter of time before the others’ words sunk in.

So when he felt the wont to play, he often did it outside the old warehouse they’d made a home out of, in an alley or somewhere else secluded. Somewhere he could just pick the strings and hum to himself – he didn’t have much a voice for singing.

When another banjo joined in, when a voice soon followed it, he almost thought he was hallucinating. But it continued, and his mouth pulled back into a smile as he played along, still absorbed in his music, but now with company.

“Not a lotta people up here with taste, y’know,” he rumbled, not even looking up from his instrument. He didn’t fear a lot any more – not many people were truly dangerous to him – so if this person was a threat, he’d deal with it as it happened. “‘Specially not taste f’r the banjo. That’s real rare.”
