Hollywood. Tra le tante testimonianze presenti, Samuel L. Jackson, Tim Roth, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Diana Kruger, Kurt Russell, Cristoph Waltz, Jamie Foxx, Lucia Liu, Bruce Dern, Roberto Forster, Zoë Bell, Eli Rot, Michael Madsen, Stacey Sher, Scott Spiegel, Richard N. Gladstein, Luigi Nero....

Happy Belated 74th Birthday ♎️ to John Foxx, born Dennis Leigh on September 26, 1948 in Chorley, Lancashire, England. In my book he is one of the innovators of post punk electronic synthesizer music from his early days of experimenting while in the Royal College of Art in London on a scholarship till when he formed the glam rock band Tiger Lily as the singer in 1973 which later after a few name changes, settled on Ultravox! (earlier styled version of the name) in 1976. Although Ultravox had various styles fused into their formula, it was considered New Wave. He adopted the stage name John Foxx during this period with Ultravox. In 1979 he began recording his debut solo album Metamatic on Virgin Records and experimented even more with synthesizers. It is my favorite solo album by him which was released in January of 1980. 🖤🎹⚡️#JohnFoxx #DennisLeigh #TigerLily #Ultravox #ElectronicMusic #ElectronicPioneer #PostPunk #NewWave https://www.instagram.com/p/CjAVYcjO2fx/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Sex Pistols bassist and singer-songwriter Glen Matlock is set to feature on Blondie's upcoming studio album. The title of the album and the release date have not yet been revealed. Matlock previously stepped in for Leigh Foxx on Blondie's 2022 U.K. and U.S. tour after Foxx suffered a back injury in April. Now, with Foxx recuperating from his injury, Matlock has been announced to play bass on the band's follow-up to 2017's Pollinator.
Creedence Clearwater Revival recently shared "Proud Mary," one of the band's most popular anthems, from their performance at London's Royal Albert Hall. "Proud Mary" earned CCR their first U.S. Top 10 hit and spent three weeks at No. 2. The song, which was certified platinum, inspired several cover versions including from Solomon Burke, Jr. Walker and the All Stars, and Bobby Goldsboro that year. Ike and Tina Turner covered the song in 1971. In 2020, Margo Price covered the track on her live album Perfectly Imperfect at the Ryman.
The band previously shared "Fortunate Son" and "Bad Moon Rising" from their historic two-night engagement at the famous London venue in 1970.
AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson's long-awaited autobiography will be published next month.
"The Lives of Brian: A Memoir" is set to arrive on October 25 via Dey Street Books in the U.S. and via Penguin Michael Joseph in the U.K. The memoir tells the story of Johnson growing up in a small town to starting his own band to ultimately replacing Bon Scott as the lead singer of one of the world biggest rock bands.
Johnson's memoirs were originally scheduled for release last October, but the reason for the delay has not been revealed. Sharing the news of the book's release on social media, Johnson said, "I've had some long nights and some great nights, some bad days and a lot of good days, and during that time I've gone from choirboy to rock'n'roll singer, and now I've gone and written a bloody book about it".

The musical responses to the challenges that followed the 80's differed from one player to another as we have heard. However, I assume Iggy Pop ended the period with what most of his peers tried to achieve during the 90's, i.e. he went back to his basics, even though his decade zigzagged between being an accomplished survivor of his movement and still following the latter without any polish. Thus, Instinct belongs to the category of his harsher sounding albums of his career despite walking behind his most commercial disc. Yes, Iggy always liked to do things on his own, so Instinct shouldn't surprise us. Nonetheless, I do think the platter can be seen as Mr. Pop by numbers, since there's nothing shocking about the tunes here, there's just there.
