An NPC that's usually found at various Chao gardens. When spoken to, she can offer advice for Chao care, evaluate your Chao's stats, or make general comments on how happy or unhappy it is, hinting at the Chao's potential reincarnation or death.
Mocha the Chao is with her snaily owner at all times, and while you can pick up/feed/play with Mocha like any other Chao, you can't enter her in races/karate, and she'll always be one of your Chao's opponents in either sport.

when you think of westmere, what’s the first thing that comes to your mind?  
❝ i guess it’s more of a feeling for me ? this sense of warmth. it’s just bits and pieces engrained in my mind of those in town. it’s starting to feel like home for me ? i mean, i’ve moved around a lot, and although i think back on those cities fondly, this is a new one for me. ❞
have you read rw wallace’s books?  if you have, which ones your favorite?
❝  i’ve read through them all, mainly as a result of joining a book club in town - some a couple times more than the others. if i had to choose, i think my favorite one is secret identities. although i’ve marked up corruption and creation a bunch, that one’s pretty solid. i read the first when i moved to new york, and then once i discovered it was inspired by westmere i knew i needed to come visit, and ever since it’s definitely lived up to the hype set in merelake. ❞
what spot is your favorite in town and why?  
❝ favorite ? hm, the gazebo, at night, is a bit surreal. there’s this bit of stillness for a moment that just seems to encompass the entire town, and the very next second the crickets are chirping, it’s almost like you can hear everything yet NOTHING all at the same time. ❞
if you were stranded at night, who’s the first person you’d call and why?
❝ @sebmeier​ . let’s just hope the poor sod isn’t standing beside me this time. oh, cause he’d put the pedal to the vettel. but if he’s with me, @mcttie​ - it’s a given. ❞
how often do you talk to your parents/family?
❝ we text here and there throughout the week, my parents and siblings alike. we have a family group chat, ha, um, but it’s nice. i call my mum on thursdays, we’ll facetime and have a proper meal together. if my siblings are visitng, or dad is around they’ll join too. ❞
how would your best friend describe you?  what about your worst enemy?
❝ probably in the same fashion - an ass that just won’t quit. i’m only kidding. perhaps more along the lines of me being a pain in the ass ? ❞
do you like celebrating birthdays?  what about holidays?
❝ birthdays ? hm, no, well not my own. i do enjoy gift giving though, and writing a card, so i guess i enjoy others birthdays. holidays, eh, it more so depends on the one. i enjoy halloween, that dream-like christmas bubble of time is a bit uncanny, and i’m a proper sucker for valentine’s day. all the others are a bit of a wash. no offense to the easter bunny and what not. ❞
do you believe in ghosts?  aliens?  are you a conspiracy theorist?
❝ ghosts ? definitely. growing up in montpellier, i could’ve sworn there was this girl that used to come and play with me, but a couple years back when i tried to explain her to my parents, they said they had no idea who i was describing. aliens? there’s absolutely no way we’re the highest form of life in this galaxy, if so, that’s awfully depressing. i guess you could say i’m a conspiracy theorist, i mean, i’m not sold on the ideology of lizard people quite yet, but i do often slip into the online void - some of those just ... click, y’know ? ❞
if you won the lottery, what’s the first thing you’d do?
❝ lately i’ve been thinking of designing some type of rec center filled with after school programs and an ice rink, of course. although, i don’t necessarily need to win the lottery to really set it in motion, i suppose. regardless, i think it’d be a bit exciting to develop a program that’d engage with the youth of westmere, it’s a bit shoddy now, but who knows ? maybe one day it’ll come together. ❞
is the glass half full or half empty?
❝ that all depends on what you’re putting into it, hm ? are you taking or giving ?  ❞
are you more at home in a room full of people or being alone?
❝ of course i enjoy spending time with others, but a room FULL of people sounds a bit nightmarish.  i read this thing about how you become the most like the five people you surround yourself with, but it makes me wonder, at what points are you ever truly yourself ? i figure you can only find out when you’re completely alone. ❞
are you someone who follows a routine every day or prefers the spontaneity of life?
❝ a mix of both ? during training and the hockey season, i think a routine is a bit easier to follow. however, knowing i’m out for the season, i’m looking forward to the spontaneity of life here in westmere. ❞
do you want kids someday?  if you already have kids, would you want more?
❝ i haven’t really thought that far ahead. someday, maybe ? i do enjoy spending time with @salingcr​ and his rugrats, so why not ? yes ? ❞

if your character moved here at one point or another, explain what they were thinking when they moved.  was it their choice?  a parents?  how did they feel about moving? 
— after being gifted the first of rw wallace’s books while living in new york, etienne knew the town depicted in the story was a place that he desired to be a part of. so, once his lease was up, he opted to move to westmere, commuting to new york during hockey and training season. he’s enjoyed it ever since, definitely no regrets.
what is your character’s earliest memory?
— his earliest memory is from halloween when he was about four years of age. still living in montpellier, his parents took him and his siblings from business to business to do a bit of trick-or-treating, popping in and out of different store fronts asking for candy. that year his parents dressed him up as jason voorhes, finding it comical for his age.
is your character’s family big or small?  what is their relationship with their family like?
— etienne has two older siblings, each of them being two years apart. he and his siblings are very close, as well as his parents - they have a family group chat.  he definitely gets along with his mother the most, the two of them having a virtual dinner on a weekly basis.
is your character the type to have a lot of good friends or a few really close ones?
— etienne has both ?! a solid amount of good friends, and yet also a tight knit group that he feels that he can be a splash more expressive and vulnerable with when the time comes. he does make a point to insert himself in others’ lives, wanting to be there for truly anyone who may need / want him, but he sometimes finds it difficult for himself to open up to that connection.
what is your character’s life philosophy?  how do they see the world?
— with a deep appreciation and love for  matthew mcconaughey this video here basically is etienne’s philosophy / way he sees the world in a six minute nut shell. BUT taking things from it, etienne is very realistic and straight to the point - will tell you what’s wrong / what the problem even if it’s a little blunt and borders on the rude end of things. he just doesn’t think living in some delusional realm is the right move for any one by any means. he may come off having a superiority complex when one is asking for his advice, but it’s just cause at the end of the day he thinks he’s being honest / right and by all means helpful, even if the other person doesn’t want to acknowledge it. aside from that, he has a deep appreciation for all forms of life, the earth included - just treating peeps with kindness and the like !!
what are some goals that your character has?
— in regards to his hockey career, he’d like to be awarded the nhl foundation award. fingers crossed he’ll be cleared to return in the following season if all goes well with his recovery, bc he really wants to go into the playoffs and win the stanley cup. he is also hoping to attend the winter olympics in beijing in 2022. 
what does a typical day in the life of your character look like?  
— a typical day, as of late, for etienne consists of him waking up a touch on the early side to a freshly made pot of coffee, then followed by taking olive on a walk/run around town. after that he will shower, make a bit of breakfast, perhaps check on seb’s chickens ( just to be safe ) and then spend the day either reading or working in his makeshift studio. he enjoys the throwback days offered down at movie magic, so he’ll drop in to watch whatever film is being shown. otherwise, he’s likely with friends - doing whatever can be done in the day. 
what does your characters house/room look like?  is it messy & cluttered or is it neat & organized?
— for a visual, click here ! his house and room altogether are rather neat and organized. if things are  messy, even in the slightest, it’s an indication that something is wrong. he lives with sebastian, and with seb also being rather tidy, the two never have any issues, nor really any conflicting design ideas throughout the home.
what does your character’s typical wardrobe consist of?
— for an overall visual, click here ! etienne enjoys dressing up, give him a lil sweater vest and he’s beaming - he likes to look sharp, and a bit on the clean cut side. he can be a bit adventurous with his wardrobe, but definitely loves a splash of color. on the other side he his more casual looks are a jeans ( flare, skinny, cord ?! the options are endless ), a fun lil graphic tee to spice things up ( he prefers the more ridiculous ones ), and a jacket ?! he’s looking sharp, def won’t be wearing the same thing twice.
what’s a quote that describes your character?

why did you choose your character’s song?  
— etienne has wide range of music taste, having bounced around growing up, he’s had various influences and exposures when it comes to what he enjoys listening to when he’s on his own. he really took a nose dive into rock music when he was practicing and developing his hockey skills - enjoy being on the ice and listening to / mentally playing back a power guitar riff doing a game. overall, rock music is the genre that he finds the most “ fun “ and he can be caught, embarrassingly so, doing his own little variations of air guitar. but he really fell in love with eddie van halen and truly believes he’s one of the best guitarists of all time, so van halen is one of his fav karaoke songs - not only to sing, but to simply act out.

Coffee Asks
Macchiato: What’s the most outrageous lie you’ve told?
Roy: I’m not really much of a liar.  Although... *grimaces a little* I remember one time.  We were all the Fairy equivalent of teenagers, and someone had brought a cask of dandelion wine to this little ‘get-together’ we were having.
Easter Bunny: ‘Get-together’?
Roy: Okay, okay, me and a few buddies snuck out.  Not originally to do anything we shouldn’t be doing, other than sneaking out, but just to shoot the breeze without our parents around.  Anyway...someone brought the wine, and I was sick the next day.  I told my dad it must’ve been something I ate, and swore up and down that it wasn’t a hangover, but he knew.  For one thing, no one else in my family was ill, so it couldn’t have been the food.  To make matters worse, the kid who brought the wine had brought it from home, and his dad noticed it missing pretty quick.  The kid came clean, and we were all in hot water.  As well we should have been.  
Latte: If you were able to travel somewhere and spend ONE day there (expenses and whatnot are magically covered), where would you go?
Roy:  One day, as in 24 hours?  Hm.  I don’t have a specific place in mind, to be honest, but I’ve always loved lakeside cabins.  It’d be nice to take Alpha there.  We could go fishing, maybe watch a game if the place has a TV...
Easter Bunny: Does she even like sports?
Roy: Oh... *frowns* Y’know, I’m not sure!  I’ll have to ask her.
Cupid: Ehh, I don’t know, could be a deal-breaker.
Roy: Pfff.  We don’t have to like all the same things.  And we both love movies, so we can do that instead.
Americano: What’s something you did that most people would regret, but you don’t?
Roy: I...don’t think I have an answer for that one.  I didn’t get into a whole lot of trouble when I was a kid, and as an adult I’m a bit of a square. *someone in the back mentions something about ‘bad puns’, and he snickers* I think most people who make the really groan-worthy puns don’t regret it at all!  So...I guess that?
Mocha: Has a relationship (platonic or romantic) ever ended because you were in the wrong? What happened?
Roy: Not ended, just...became very distant for a few decades.  A childhood friend of mine, a guy with small wings like me, actually got engaged.  That doesn’t happen for us very often, because the wing trait is hereditary.  And...well...
Cupid: Ya got jealous, huh?
Roy: Thanks, Cupid.  Yeah...I guess I did.  I mean, I kept it to myself, but after the wedding I just...Oh, what’s the word for it these days?  Where you distance yourself and stop talking to someone?
Cupid: Ghosting.
Roy: Yeah.  But it’s all fine now, we worked it all out.  Or, rather, I did.  It was my problem, not theirs.  Fortunately, he forgave me for it.
Cappuccino: If you could say one last thing to someone no longer in your life, what would you say?
Roy: *opens his mouth, then closes it again, takes a moment, and clears his throat* I would tell my family I loved ‘em...
Iced: Throughout everyone in your life, who do you love the most?
Cupid: *whispers loudly* The correct answer is ‘my girlfriend’.
Roy: *rolls his eyes with an exasperated smile* I was gonna say that...
Cupid: Just making sure.
Cold Brew: How do you take your coffee?
Roy: Black.  Or with a splash of half-and-half if I’m actually having dessert.
Decaf: Have you ever spilled a secret? What was the secret?
Roy: Nope.  Unless someone’s actually in danger, and me keeping my mouth shut would make things worse, I wouldn’t betray a confidence.
Jack Frost: Well, being a Legendary Figure, secrets are our bread and butter.  Amirite?
Roy: I woulda thought you’d make an ‘ICE-ing’ on the cake joke.
Jack Frost: Not bad!  But in this context, it doesn’t really fit.

Sorting the Guardians into Hogwarts Houses
So to sum up this one shot, Katherine (Mother Goose) decides to read Harry Potter and sorts every last Guardian into their Hogwarts houses with the help from Jaime Bennet.  This was originally posted on Fanfiction.net but I decided I would rather have that be where my full fics go and this blog where my one shots and fluff goes.
Word Count: 1942 
Katherine loved books, always was going on about Ombric's library in Santoff Claussen., until she saw my library that is. Considering it was tree branches all formed into bookshelves with a thick layer of leaves to keep the books safe from the weather that occasionally hit my empire. I had a copy of every book that Ombric had and more, and it expanded every time a new book was published. Katherine began adding books that she found as well, books that peaked her interests more than mine, as well as those that she would write herself.
She had the Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia and so many more. In 1997 she found the Harry Potter books…and I had to deal with all of the crying, and there was a lot of crying. She found herself wondering which house she would be sorted into at Hogwarts. She thought herself a Ravenclaw, but she also thought Gryffindor, none of this made sense to me and it was quickly forgotten in the shuffle of recent events.
Unfortunately now that everything was calm again it meant that she had time to yet again pick up reading, she only picked up Harry Potter again because Jaime was getting to the point where he was beginning to love books and of course wanted suggestions about what to read. Katherine squealed in delight and gave him all seven books.
She said that she and Jamie had something that they wanted to say at the next Guardian’s meeting, well at least Katherine was going to say it, she was going to ask North for permission to bring Jamie to the pole.
The Guardians were meeting far more often, every month in fact, and things were rather orderly, since I decided I would preside over the meetings to make sure that everyone got heard. We rotated where we met also, and it was always between the Warren, the Pole, my Empire, or the Tooth Palace. We tried to meet at Sandy's Island and my Father's "lair" but those were not good times for anyone. Phil the yeti catered these events, making all of the food that everyone liked, except he couldn't get the drinks quite right, so I had to take that over from him.
It was January the first of a new year we were meeting at the pole, because despite it being a mess before and around Christmas, North's yetis cleaned it all up nicely. I walked past the elves, they were getting themselves tangled in the Christmas lights again, typical. I was one of the first to arrive, and I headed toward the Kitchen where Phil was busily preparing various tarts and cookies.
"Hello Phil," I said
He yelled at me in the yeti language, "Put your hair back, can't have hair in the food."
"Yes sir," I said with a laugh as the Northeast wind braided my hair back. I speak every language on the planet, ranging from the tiniest bug to the eagles that soar through the sky. It's how I get updates about the weather. and of course my seasonal spirits. The northeast wind was being very helpful today allowing me to get each of the mugs down from the cupboards. I had gave my seasonal each one of the four winds to take charge of, Rowan as the Summer seasonal got the South wind, Ash as Autumn got the West, Willow as Spring got East and Jack of course had the North. I got the odd winds which were much calmer than the pure directional winds, but still had a fury that could be deadly.
I got to work with the drinks, each one of the Guardians liked something different. For Bunnymund, he liked Herbal tea, and once Phil accidently added some chocolate to it, that was a disaster, hence why I took over getting the drinks ready. North liked a good cup of Hot Chocolate, with peppermint flavor, lots of marshmallows and a hint of cinnamon. Tooth drank either water or green tea, she wouldn't drink anything that had sugar in it, when Phil did that she nearly had a heart attack. Nightlight really started liking Pink Lemonade with Strawberries, I think because it reminds him of Katherine when she was younger. Katherine likes a White Mocha with extra whipped cream and caramel flavor. Sandy likes warm milk and honey, as long as he doesn't fall asleep because of it he's fine. My father took a liking to Dark Roast Coffee with a little bit of chocolate and cream. Jack oddly like Iced Sweet Tea with strawberries, and lemon, he said that it reminds him of my smile. I like sun tea with mint leaves, Katherine asked why once and I told her the mint reminded me of Jack's eyes, both the brown and the blue, her response was a very long and drawn out awwwwwww….I really wanted to smite her but I restrained myself.
I heard arguing from the globe room and sighed, "Phil, the drinks are done, I better go settle a dispute"
I stepped out into the chaos of a snowball fight, "Jack Frost, clean up this snow right now," I said stopping a snowball from hitting my face by raising my hand up.
"Aw but we were having fun," said the boy from the rafters.
North was buried in snow and cursing like a, well like a Cossack, and Bunnymund was holding his feet, Katherine's convincing to bring Jamie must have worked cause they were both sitting on top of a snow slide laughing their heads off.
"Clean this up now Jack, otherwise no causing any snow days for a month,"
"Awwww," said Jamie "That's no fun."
Jack laughed, "I can't melt snow that's the other guy's jobs, I just create it."
I raised my hands and the snowflakes obediently all went flying out into the white vast space of the North Pole. "Never start a snowball fight indoors again Jack,” I glared at him, but not as sternly as I could have, “Shall we get started with the meeting?" I said walking over to the table.
The guardians all walked over to the table, and my father stepped out of the shadows, where had he been?
"Alright so for old business, North how was Christmas?"
"It was tight schedule but we managed, minor weather delays caused slightly late deliveries in some areas of the southern hemisphere."
"That's Rowan's zone this time of year, I will have to follow up on that, thank you North. Is there any other old business?" there was silence, "Alright how about New business, Bunny how's Easter looking?"
"On track to be a record year."
"Will you need help this year?"
"Unless there are weather disruptions we should be on track," He said looking at Jack who began whistling
"Excellent, any other new business before we get to announcements?"
"I have something," my father said, standing from his chair, he'd only been a Guardian for less than a year but considering the odds that were against him he was doing an excellent job.
"Yes?"
"It seems that not all of the Fearlings and Dream Pirates were banished back to their dark planet, I have discovered some roaming, too weak to try anything, but they are there."
"Good to know, thank you, Nightlight I want to keep an eye out, but everyone should be ready at a moment's notice to assist in battle."
Everyone nodded, "Alright, is that everything for new business?" Nobody said anything Katherine and Jamie were getting anxious. "Alright now for some announcements from Katherine and Jaime, go ahead you two,"
I sat down and Katherine stood up with Jamie, Jamie had a list in his hand, Katherine pulled all of the Harry Potter Books out from her bag.
"So as you all know I've been reading these books that Katherine let me borrow, well I was thinking and she agreed, what if the Guardians went to Hogwarts? What houses would you guys be in. So we did thinking and made a list so we will go around the table and tell you what we think and why."
I inwardly groaned, why did I agree to this?
"North, you would be in Gryffindor, you are brave, selfless, and chivalrous." Katherine said, handing him a badge with a lion emblazoned in red and gold. He beamed with pride even though I was certain he didn’t understand it.
"Bunny, you would be in Slytherin, you are ambitious, and a strong leader when the time arises." Jamie said handing him a badge with a snake in emerald green and silver.
"Nightlight, you're a Hufflepuff, you are loyal and honest, you are very patient," Katherine handed Nightlight the badge of a badger in yellow and black, before kissing him lightly on the cheek.
"Tooth, we had a hard time with you, it was between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor, and we decided on Hufflepuff, you are dedicated to your fairies, and to the children, you work hard to protect the children's memories, and you have a kind heart." Jamie said handing Tooth the same badge as Nightlight.
"Sandy you are also a Hufflepuff, you embody all of the traits, you are dedicated, you work hard, your fair, and patient, kind and tolerant, and you are loyal to your friends both old and new," Katherine said, giving him again another yellow and black badge.
"Jack, you are a Gryffindor, like Sandy embodies all of Hufflepuff, you also embody all of the traits of a Gryffindor, you are brave, are chivalrous, you have the most courage of anyone I've ever met, and you are very daring." Jamie said handing Jack the Gryffindor badge.
"Even though Ombric lives in the moments between he is a Ravenclaw full of intelligence and wisdom beyond all compare." Katherine said
"Katherine would be in Gryffindor, she's courageous, daring, and brave, she made me sort her because she didn't trust her own judgement," Jamie said handing Katherine her badge.
"Pitch, you would be in Ravenclaw, you are intelligent, and you've accepted who you were and who you are," Katherine said handing my father a badge with an Eagle in Blue and Bronze colors.
"The Man in the Moon would be in Slytherin, he's ambitious, he's resourceful, and is quite clever." Jamie said
"Now Mother Nature, you would be in Ravenclaw, you are intelligent, you are witty and wise, creative and original, you praise the original ideas of your seasonals and are proud of how different they are. You have also accepted your flaws and made them your own," Katherine said handing me the badge with the Eagle. I stared at it for a few moments, I might not understand everything about Harry Potter or these Hogwarts houses but I definitely knew that Katherine and Jaime got everyone spot on.
"Alright that's all we've got for now, I might have something later if I'm allowed back to one of these meetings,"
"Of course, you will be allowed back Jamie, the next meeting will be held in the Warren," I said, "This meeting is dismissed, go enjoy the food and drinks in the kitchen."
I smiled as I stared back down at the badge in my hand, Father walked over to me,
"I was expecting to be put in Slytherin," He said
"And why is that?" I asked a bit surprised he would know about these.
"From what I've gathered that's supposed to be the house for villains,"
"You are not that person anymore, and you never will be again," I said walking with him toward the kitchen to grab food and our drinks.

What day is it again? If you're like me, the days seem to be simply running into each other--one day seems just like the one before to the point where I really have to stop and think, "Is this Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday... ???" This seems to be our "new normal" for a while--quite a while, I think. This COVID-19 pandemic has me unable to settle--I flit from one thing to the next and I can't maintain my focus on anything. I haven't left my house in two weeks since self-quarantining after our plane flight on March 21st. I've walked out onto my patio a few times on the rare occasions when the sun was shining, but that's it. We are not supposed to be out at all in our area except for "life-sustaining" purposes (getting groceries, visiting the doctor, etc.). How are you all coping? Thank goodness I have my stitching and other hobbies to enjoy at home and keep my mind off the increasingly dire reports on the spread of the virus. I try not to look at the news, but, it's hard not to be drawn into it at the same time. As my youngest son said, this is probably one of the few times in history that the entire world is on the same side, fighting the same battle.I thought you might like to see a couple "pretties" today to give you a break from dwelling on that "thing" that has consumed our lives... I actually finished this piece in early March, before things got so worrisome. "Be Happy, Humble, & Kind" is a design by With Thy Needle and Thread stitched on 40 ct. vintage country mocha using a variety of overdyed threads from my stash.  The colors were what first drew me to this piece along with the sentiment. "Be Happy, Humble, and Kind" finishI changed the color of the man's face, hands and legs to DMC 950.A beautiful, big white house, but I'd hate to wash all those windows! I was immediately drawn to this robin sitting on his beautiful blue eggs. It is designed by Subrosa Designs and is called "Bless Our Nest." The original design contained the words "Bless Our Nest" below the basket, but I left them off.  One of my favorite linens, 40 ct. Woodland Newcastle was used--love the way the white shows up on it! I changed all the suggested colors except for the brown on the robin's body, which is Weeks Dye Works "Cocoa." The blue eggs are stitched with Dinky Dyes silk in "Aquamarine"--aren't they lovely? I so enjoyed stitching this one and see more robin stitching in my future!I changed the color of the flowers to white and added yellow Rhodes-stitched centers using Dinky Dyes "Aussie Gold." I also wrapped the vine around the basket handle rather than stitching it all behind as was charted. And here is my final finish--cording made of the same blue silk, a gauzy bow held together with a strip of the aqua blue gingham fabric that I backed it with. I stuck in a few berries in yellow and white, too.I just haven't been motivated to get out any of my stitched bunnies this year--hope I can make myself do so this week. This is ordinarily one of my favorite months to decorate with the pretty pastels of Easter and Springtime. I think if the weather warms up and the sun starts coming out, that will help immensely! We had horrid thunder/rain storms pass through on Saturday! Torrents of water coming down into our yard (which is on a low spot in the neighborhood) with overflow from our pond created this "river" in our side yard for a while and ruined some newly planted landscaping. Sigh... not what we needed right now!A big storm turned our normally grass-covered side yard into a raging "river" last week!Unfortunately, some of the new landscaping we had just put in last fall was damaged, too.How are you managing your grocery shopping? We've been ordering online and picking up in the parking lot of the grocery store, but that is getting increasingly difficult. And you know the one thing we've had the worst time finding (no, not toilet paper!)--flour! Simple baking flour! I guess everyone is engaged in comfort baking these days--I know I am... Cookies, granola, and a new recipe for banana-carrot muffins have been baked here recently. We do have baking flour for bread so I plan on making some in my bread machine this afternoon.  I've included links to the banana-carrot muffin recipe and our favorite chocolate pudding recipe that also made an appearance last week (just click on the name of the recipe below each photo). My Dad used to bake the most wonderful rye bread (two kinds, actually) as a form of stress-relief after long hours spent in the operating room (he was a surgeon). Simply imagining that bread brings instant comfort to me. (He eventually had to stop making it, though, as he was gaining way too much weight!). The days seem to be dragging on and on for me lately. Does anyone else feel that way? I hope that by the next time I post, we will be finding better ways to combat and contain the pandemic. I'm so sorry I haven't responded to your many emails and comments--just haven't felt quite like myself lately, as I'm sure you're feeling, too. I keep seeing scenes on fictional television shows and in movies of people doing "normal" things like eating in restaurants, going to movies and plays, and gathering with their extended families and I find myself feeling quite envious of the way life used to be! Emirates special Easter menus in SA ends
Today marks the last day of Emirates’ seasonal treats to celebrate Easter on board and in select airport lounges worldwide, including Johannesburg and Cape Town.
The Easter menu is available to customers across all cabin classes from 19 to 23 April when travelling from Dubai to Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and other destinations in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, USA, Argentina, Brazil, Ghana and the Philippines.
On board, customers can look forward to Easter buns handmade using Emirates’ signature recipe with spiced dough and orange peel, sultanas and currants; and children will be delighted with desserts featuring the Easter bunny. Those flying in premium classes will be able to choose from Easter-inspired desserts.
First Class customers can also look forward to an Easter edition of the Lakrids “Egg” Dulce de Leche Liquorice Balls in their personal goodie baskets. This seasonal offering is in addition to the regionally-inspired cuisine served on all Emirates flights.
From 21 – 22 April, all seven Emirates lounges at Dubai International Airport and most of the airline’s dedicated Emirates lounges around the world will also introduce Easter specials. 
In Dubai, customers can savour traditional Easter buns, Simnel cupcake, carrot cake and Banoffee desserts. For the entire week, Coffee Planet will serve festive drinks such as Marshmallow Mocha and White Chocolate Breve.
At Emirates lounges in other international airports, frequent flyers and those travelling in Emirates First and Business Class can enjoy Easter menus with different local highlights such as Pickled Fish, a delicate fried hake in lightly seasoned flour, layered with friend onion and marinated in a sweet mild curry sauce and for dessert, savour sweet flavours of Cinnamon Rounds, a specially prepared sweet dough rolled with cinnamon sugar, baked and glazed with a sticky royal icing, at the Johannesburg and Cape Town lounge.
Customers travelling during the Easter break can enjoy over 4,000 channels of on-demand entertainment on ice, including over 1000 movies from around the world. New family-friendly movies include Dumplin’, Christopher Robin, Freaky Friday, The House with a Clock in its Walls and Mary Poppins Returns.
With such a broad array of entertainment on offer, customers can create their own playlists of music, movies and TV shows on the Emirates app ahead of their flight and sync it to their seats once on board to maximise their enjoyment time.
The Easter celebrations on board and on the ground are part of Emirates’ commitment to enhance the customer experience with unique and seasonal offerings.

What day is it again? If you're like me, the days seem to be simply running into each other--one day seems just like the one before to the point where I really have to stop and think, "Is this Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday... ???" This seems to be our "new normal" for a while--quite a while, I think. This COVID-19 pandemic has me unable to settle--I flit from one thing to the next and I can't maintain my focus on anything. I haven't left my house in two weeks since self-quarantining after our plane flight on March 21st. I've walked out onto my patio a few times on the rare occasions when the sun was shining, but that's it. We are not supposed to be out at all in our area except for "life-sustaining" purposes (getting groceries, visiting the doctor, etc.). How are you all coping? Thank goodness I have my stitching and other hobbies to enjoy at home and keep my mind off the increasingly dire reports on the spread of the virus. I try not to look at the news, but, it's hard not to be drawn into it at the same time. As my youngest son said, this is probably one of the few times in history that the entire world is on the same side, fighting the same battle.I thought you might like to see a couple "pretties" today to give you a break from dwelling on that "thing" that has consumed our lives... I actually finished this piece in early March, before things got so worrisome. "Be Happy, Humble, & Kind" is a design by With Thy Needle and Thread stitched on 40 ct. vintage country mocha using a variety of overdyed threads from my stash.  The colors were what first drew me to this piece along with the sentiment. "Be Happy, Humble, and Kind" finishI changed the color of the man's face, hands and legs to DMC 950.A beautiful, big white house, but I'd hate to wash all those windows!
