Winter 2022 Anime Opinions

As always my thoughts because no one asked

From least to fav here are my overall thoughts:

Urusei Yatsura (2022)

I am just not the target audience for this. This is probably a nostalgia ridden show that people who watched the original will love and enjoy but I am not that person and with the two eps I watched I had enough. The jokes were not funny to me all characters were annoying and yeah the animation is nice but I will not put myself through something I will not enjoy for it tbh. Watch it if you liked the original ig

Tonikaku Kawaii: SeifukU

I dislike tonikaku with a passion it gives go girl give us nothing to the negative 20 no flavor no taste still the same shiz as the show so yeah. Watch it if you liked the series lmao its more of the same

Shinobi no Ittoki

I guess…… Its really kinda bland and I can’t pinpoint why. The concept is interesting but it just doesn’t hold up in its execution and I dont care for it run sorry do better I guess

Fumetsu no Anata e 2nd Season

I try so hard to care, SO hard. Since season 1 I have found this show to be kinda…. All over. Like the only storyline I cared about was the one with the kid with the mask last season and since that its just been meh to me. Like, we already kinda know how everything is going to go and all the arcs are kinda the same, they show us someone, we care for them for like half an episode, they die, repeat.

Bocchi the Rock!

I TRIES SO HARD TO CARE TOO I AM SO SORRY. This has been like the number 1 show this year but I… I dont know I just dont like it ASDFGHJ I am not a big fan of cute girls doing nothing specially mixed with the uwu social anxiety quirky. Like they dont paint it in a bad light like most shows do and the art style is very unique but I just dont… Give a shit adfgdhjf I tried I promise but hey if you are into this shows probs the one for you.

Mushikaburi-hime

This one is boring I am ngl. Its not bad but like… Its not good either. Ive seen this trope done SO many times its just boring. It hasn’t done anything bad per se but I just dont really care for it much. I like my romance with spicier ships so yeah I mean if you like cute royal same old same old couples then watch it.

Fuufu Ijou, Koibito Miman.

Do you like boobs????? Do you like boobs ON your screen for 23 minutes??????? Then you will for sure enjoy this one fellas! ASDFGHJ I… I am not the biggest fan of ecchi so this is a lot for me but hey if you like this fan service trash then you go bestie. Character design is cute I dont care for any characters as of the moment so yeah I guess its something

Chainsaw Man

This is the one that gets me cancelled ASDFGH. I am not going to say much other than I've never been a fan of chainsaw man since the manga and you can write me all the essays y'all want but I just.... Dont care sorry lol ADFSJAK Its just not for me; I am not saying its bad per se, I am just not the person that enjoys this type of shows. Aru Asa Dummy Head Mic ni Natteita Ore-kun no Jinsei

This is trash but it goes higher just because Its what it is and delivers just what I expected. The reincarnated person is annoying as fuck but the girls have cute dynamics so that's why it goes higher. Its just 3 minutes skits of the girls being cute so yeah its okay

Koukyuu no Karasu

I feel like this is a good show but I am just not the target for this adsfgh its a show you gotta pay attention to understand and a lot of history goes behind it and it just kinda bored me but I know its not bad. I just dont think its for me but that's okay I might keep watching it.

Eternal Boys

Its okay. Its a nice concept and I have only watched like 3 eps but its a nice message I guess. Its short and whatever so it doesn't take much time to watch but its not something revolutionary. I like idol shows so maybe I am giving it more than what it is.

Mob Psycho

This is the one that gets me cancelled part 2 SKSKSK. I am not going to lie besties, I am not the biggest mob psyhco fan. Its okay, I just never got into the hyper around it sorry :(( I really wish I could because I know its a good story and I ddi like that last episode a lot but like,,,,, I feel like the story was over last season ASDFGH But hey I am glad y'all enjoyed it a lot!

Boku no Hero Academia 6th Season

I am ngl, I am like on ep 2 of bnha season 6 but have seen the Dabi scene like 20 times thanks to social media and I got no choice but to Stan. I dont like this arc of bnha as y'all know but it seems more interesting than last season and I like the way the animation direction is going so I will give them points for it.

Do It Yourself!!

Lesbians your honor!!!! I like this one! Its cute girls doing silly lil stuff and I am not a big fan of the genre like I said but this one is more entertaining for me, maybe because I am more into DIY shit but its cute!! Nothing big happens tbh but its a soft watch to put in the background if y'all enjoy this

Romantic Killer

This was cute! A refreshing romcom from the ones weve gotten recently tbh. I liked it even though I have a different interpretation of the road they took it in the end but it was a fun show to watch with some nice gags and cute characters, defo give it a go!

Renai Flops

Okay hear me out. This one is in a weird place but hear me out. I hate everything this anime stands for because it was such a cliche weird and ecchi but it was such an interesting train wreck I HAD to keep on watching every episode and when I least expected it I was suddenly on ep 6 and the twist left me screAmiNG. It kinda goes downhill again after ep 7 but just because it took me so off guard (dont wanna spoil it but aloO) it goes high up, gg 1 for the ecchi trash 0 for Maria this round.

Yowamushi Pedal: Limit Break

Ngl this season of yowapeda hasn't been as hyped as I hoped for me but I care so much about the characters I will place it high up SKSKSKSK its basically more of the same; I honestly miss the upperclassman a lot but its okay my babies appear like for .2 frames and I start sobbing

Akuyaku Reijou nano de Last Boss wo Kattemimashita

okaY is this trash??? yes. Do I care??? nO. I LOVE MY SILLY LIL TROPES OKAY ITS FUNNY AND SILLY AND DUMB AND THEY ARE CUTE SO IT GOES UP OKAY I LIKE HAMEFURA WHAT DO YALL EXPECT FROM ME. still kinda trash but like, guilty pleasure trash.

4-nin wa Sorezore Uso wo Tsuku

THIS IS HOW YOU DO CUTE GIRLS (AND TSUKASA LY BESTIE) DOING CUTE STUFF IN A GOOD WAY. If you like Saiki K you'll like this show. I dont know how to explain it but it gives the energy from Saiki K and I loved it they are very important and relevant.

Spy x Family Part 2

Its more of the same of part 1 y'all know spy x family its a good show I love them all I love when my families are found go stream it look at Bond and Anya being best family

Tiger & Bunny

The gays are back for more and better! Not my favorite season buT I still care about them all so much that I dont care SKSKSK go stream tiger & bunny I dont have much more to say

Cool Doji Danshi

Do you love dumb people??? Me too! then this anime is for you ! Its silly short and goes to the point. It doesnt try to be something its not and I like my anime silly and dumb. If you are looking for something easy and silly watch this.

Blue Lock

Guys guys my favorite comfort soccer players are finally animated!!! Watch it. If y'all follow me y'all know I am annoying about blue lock. Its the only anime that has Bachira AND Reo imagine the odds!!! Its a great sports anime and the characters are great and I love it and its my comfort okay

Mairimashita! Iruma-kun 3rd Season

Lets all pretend for a second we are all surprised M!ik is number one woah Maria that is so weird your favorite manga animated as number one????? did not expect it that's wild. Anyways M!ik supremacy today tomorrow its the Lied arc and Iruma and that one episode were Iruma cries made me emo and I love it and I think you should all be super cool and interesting and go watch m!ik it would make us all a better society.

The power of the Butterfly Miraculous was originally supposed to create superheroes and not supervillains as we found out from Nooroo (“Origins Part 1:Ladybug and Cat Noir”), but it still goes into effect no matter what the intentions are. Like the metamorphosis of the butterfly, Gabe has gone through a few transformations to suit his look from Hawk Moth to Scarlet Moth (Heroes’ Day Part 1:Catalyst) to Shadow Moth (Season 4) to now Monarch! He has gotten more powerful as well from obtaining almost all the miraculouses and it just gets worse from there onward! How much worse? You’ll see:

The Kwamis’ Choice

*Part 1:Transmission-Which ship is best for Marinette? Adrienette? ❌ Lukanette? ❌ How ‘bout Marichat!? ❌ Oh yeah, right, (hisses through grind teeth in embarrassment)😬from last eps ending, that didn’t work out either. Sh*t! Adrien doesn’t have much luck either. He’s strictly platonic with Adrigami and Ladynoir, but he’s trying for Adrienette and it’s not happenin’! The Love Squares in reverse and nobody’s together, they don’t have secondary love interests to move on to and they’re miserable! What are they to do!? The Kwami’s! They’ll know what to do! How do you solve your holders love life problem from their superhero duties? Quit being their Kwami and find new holders! WITH PERMISSION OF COURSE! (this is why Nooroo was stuck with Gabe for so long). Who’s the new Ladybug Miraculous holder? Alya! (trumpets sound) When she was Scarabella! (“Hack-San”) Who’s the new Black Cat holder? Nin-(record scratch) Wait! WTF!? Zoe!? (trumpets sound confused)…….okay. Everyone! Meet-! (trumpets about to sound) Idk (trumpets halt). Well, whatever she named herself, They got this. Especially since they took care of that akumatized victim, a boxer with a Hulk speech impediment, that clashed with Alyas older sister Nora, Boubi I mean Bibou, a giant gold boxer bear, w/ the power of the Tiger, Horse, Turtle! Ox! Mous-HEY! HEY! Whoa! Whoa! Easy there Monarch! You’re passing out miraculouses not candy! Oh whatever! The new dynamic duo handled it and Adrienette just might be happenin’.

*Part 2:Deflagration-Bad news, the new dynamic duo didn’t get the memo on the no alliance rings cuz that’s how Monarch found out who they were from what Marinette learned (“Jubilation”) :P. Sh*t! This lead Gabe to do a “happy dance” XD. WFT!? Which made him combine a few miraculous powers to snatch it from Scarabella and Kitty Noir! (so that’s her name) and become Monarchbug! Don! Don! Don! Sooooooo, does that mean the shows over? But we’re a quarter of a way in the season! Monarch couldn’t be that powerful! Course he’s not that powerful! Even w/out our new dynamic duo there’s still heroes out there. Ones that don’t need powers or costumes to be super. Who were those? Didn’t Marinette’s friends create some sort of group that fights against the akumatizations of Monarch? Was that just a one off joke or were they being serious?…….Oh wait! The Resistance! (“Illusion”) That’s the one! Yeah, they got this. For the akuma victim, it was just Chloe becoming Sole Destroyer. Just a cheap knock-off of Zoe’s Sole Crusher which Monarch just used as an excuse to trap Alya and Zoe. Sole Destroyers power in this case was turning people into shoes that sang Chloe’s praises Blah! Blah! Blah! That was Season 5 of Chloe’s akumatization and it’s the weakest of her forms used only a set-up for a bigger villain :P. The real bad guy was Monarchbug and that was more important. Despite the miraculouses however, the Kwami’s had their free will to fight against him and even stop him from being too powerful. Yea Kwami’s! They knew better then to comply to him and saw some loopholes in his scheme. Smart.

I have to admit, I thought the whole idea of Adrienette giving up being heroes was pretty selfish cuz they gave up just so they can “frick frack”. There’s a super terrorist out with almost all the miraculouses that’s gone completely insane and can damage the town and it’s civilians and alls our main characters can think about was their “silly little love lives”. This ain’t no picnic! It’s responsibilities! Putting other people’s needs before your own so as to save them from chaos and destruction! Then again, a friend of mine pointed out that it wasn’t just because of shipping, but if both are too depressed (cuz both have extreme low self esteem), then they won’t be motivated to stop Monarch and likely get akumatized which will all end in disaster, so it wasn’t for personal petty problems, it was for the greater good so they won’t struggle so much and finally be happy. We found out something new about Monarch here! He can see the negative feelings projected to him from his victims and he can pass out more than one miraculous power not just to the alliance ring, but if the victim in question wears a lot of rings! Damn! Told ya the guys getting worse! You’re probably wondering, “Why Zoe as the Black Cat Miraculous holder and not Nino!?”, “Why does she look like that in superhero form!?”. Well, for the former, Plagg didn’t choose Nino cuz since Tikki chose Alya as the new Ladybug Miraculous holder and a couple should never ever be paired together cuz well, GO BACK AND WATCH “CAT BLANC”/“EPHEMERAL”/“SHADOW MOTH’S FINAL ATTACK PART 2:STRIKE BACK”! GOD DAMN IT! COUPLES CAN’T BE SUPERHEROES! FOR CHRISTS SAKE! ADRIEN ADMITTED HIS FEELINGS FOR MARINETTE AND VICE VERSA, BUT SHE ALSO SAID SHE “DOESN’T LOVE HIM” ANYMORE AND THEY’RE STILL NOT TOGETHER!🤬. More importantly, it’s cuz she’s also more rational compared to her super shippers aboard the S.S. Adrienette. As for the latter, that’s you’re opinion if you think it looks good on her or not. The miraculous let’s you choose how you wish to look as a superhero and if Zoe likes having green highlights/lipstick, then that’s her thing. For me, I think it’s okay. This show is seriously married to the reset button isn’t it? With the near victory Monarchbug almost had, the Kwami’s and heroes realized that they need to keep things traditional and Adrienette is back to being docked. Even w/out the pressures of superherohood, Marinette still couldn’t make the ship sail (to the point of being physically unable to itself) and now is again sad and alone :(. We could’ve had a whole half a season-No! Wait! A whole new format of “Miraculous Ladybug” with Scarabella and Kitty Noir, but nooooooo! As tvtropes would say, “Status Quo Is God”! The writers are allergic to change. Course they’d write a scenario on why this couldn’t be the new show! It’s an excuse to go back to basics! :P. However, would it have been better? If they did go with the change, then the show would be renamed “Miraculous Scarabella” (shrugs). Also, I think we’d miss our original dynamic duo too much😅. Eps are coming out like tennis balls from a shooting machine, so I have a lot to catch up on. 🚨SPOILER ALERT!🚨I’ve been spoiled!😫. Oh well, see you guys when the English Dubs come out!

I’ve just finished watching the S1 finale for like the 10th time so I guess that’s as good a time to answer this, lol. I’ll divide it up into family members

Molly McGee

Molly loves to learn and will research the town she moves to in an effort to feel closer to it. She knows so much useless trivia about every place she’s lived that shes scary with the geography part of trivia nights.

Her hatred of close-up magic comes from the fact that she considers it a flashy form of lying. Lying is one thing but to make it into a public show is another thing.

She recently discovered she’s bi but when she did it more of a “huh, well that explains it” moment.

Her love of public service comes from her dad (who read city planning regulations as a bedtime story when she was real little while he was getting his degree) but her scary determination and rage comes from her mom.

She keeps in contact with a few friends from other towns through being penpals but those letters have been coming in less and less frequently. Luckily her new friends in Brighton keep her distracted from the lack of letters.

Now that she knows what its like as a ghost, she understands Scratch a bit more and this also allows her to empathize with ghosts who need help a lot more.

She knows the words to every disney animated song....every single one...

Daryl McGee

His shady dealing has gotten the family kicked out of only 2 towns...well, that the rest of the family know of.

Daryl knows slight-of-hand from several magicians of various towns, and he’s even taught them a few new tricks.

Just like Molly, he’s able to make friends easily but keeps them more on the down low because of how often they’ve moved he doesn’t want to show off new friends.

He’s tried to get Scratch to help make a fake haunted house tour but Scratch is both too lazy and would keep getting called on by Molly that the curse would fly him away during said tour.

Pete McGee

Being from a large family he both kinda wants one too but also knows that he and Sharon can’t afford more than Molly and Daryl (and even thats cutting it close). He made sure however that Molly and Daryl don’t have rhyming names to avoid that part of his family.

He taught Molly how to bake and they enjoy having father-daughter bonding time when making baked goods for city meetings and various charities/volunteer work.

Eloping wasn’t his idea as he wanted a big party to show everyone that he’s marrying the love of his life but as long as they’re together is enough for him (not that he wouldn’t love to have a redo on their wedding).

It took a bit to get rid of his Boston accent but it comes back when family visits or he meets someone from Boston.

Sharon McGee

Her love of art came from a very young age but Nin needed her to help out in the restaurant more then drawings. After Sharon left home, Nin collected every scrap of art Sharon left behind and treasures each one (unknown to Sharon until they made up in the wedding ep).

One of the classes that she and Pete shared together in college was intro to architecture (signed up for it to get better at drawing buildings). She liked how sincere Pete was despite not being that great an artist.

Being an artist she is a jack-of-all-trades type which is perfect for being doing Gig Pig work but dreads the ones with costumes.

She loves her kids but she wished Daryl was more like Molly, mostly cause she sees too much of herself in him and doesn’t want to risk the same thing that happened between her and Nin to happen between her and him.

Scratch the Ghost

His friendship with Geoff came by because he was accidentally nice to Geoff once and now he can’t get rid of him.

Luckily the number of troubled ghosts throughout Brighton has allowed him to skate by on his Scare Reports a few months as he’ll claim their scares as his own since its his territory.

Trash disappearing from the town due to his eating habits was so intense that in an effort to keep people from learning about him, he chased in a bunch of raccoons into town so that it makes sense why the garbage he eats is disappearing so quickly.

He has the potential to be one of the Ghost Worlds’ greatest scarer but his laziness keeps him from reaching his full potential.

It’s like 4 am and I’m too tired to think of more so maybe I’ll do more later on (I really should do some comics for this show)

It’s a small thing, but love the fact that Jin didn’t hide his ‘love bites’ and actually you see him walking out the bathroom aware of them but unfazed and both his friends elude to them but its no drama. In any other drama there would have been a scene and cover up. Also Bbomb and Jin are just so domestic. Alright I’m shipping Mark with Jack XD. Give that man a boyfriend and don’t just make him the third wheel. The game scene was also funny, cause I imagine that is how most boys communicate with each other; in the same room but between a screen playing online games.

I liked Nitiman, it was innocent and the only drama was self inflicted spawned from these young men and their own insecurities, it was in part helped by their scheming friends but in the end Jin and Bbomb lived in their own world, and worked through their own problems at their pace.
