Hiya! I’m trying to choose a bank, and was thinking that Charles Schwab seemed like a good idea. It’s good for travel-which I want to do in the future especially since I was to move abroad. Nerd Wallet ranks it well and there’s no bad reviews for it on Reddit as far as I checked (there are downsides listed but no one said Don’t use it). There seems to be no minimum deposit and no interest.
I was also looking at PNC bank, but the reviews are 50/50….
Hey cutie! You're doing everything right to evaluate the banks. So I don't know if this will tip the scales, but... this Bitch right here uses Charles Schwab. I have my 401(k) parked there currently and have no complaints. Bitch tested, Bitch approved.
But keep doing your homework! Make sure the bank you choose fulfills your personal needs. And remember--you can have more than one bank! Here's more advice:

Sammy Hagar plans to revitalize some Van Halen vibes on his upcoming summer tour.
For The Best of All Worlds Tour, Hagar and his bandmates in The Circle – bassist Michael Anthony, a founding member of Van Halen, and drummer Jason Bonham – will be joined by guitarist virtuoso Joe Satriani, who has recorded and performed with Hagar and Anthony in the band Chickenfoot.
The itinerary kicks off on July 13 in West Palm Beach, Florida, and the tour hits a total of 28 cities, concluding August 31 in St. Louis, Missouri. Loverboy will serve as the opening act.
Pre-sales begin on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 10 a.m., with general on-sale starting Friday, Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. local. For more information go to RedRocker.com.
Hagar, 76, joined Van Halen as vocalist in 1985 after David Lee Roth left. Hagar also left the band in 1996, but returned for a 2004 tour. Recently, Hagar says he and Anthony decided to perform songs from their days playing in Van Halen at Hagar's annual Birthday Bash last month in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Tumblr media
"We pulled out a couple of them and it was an instant lovefest with the fans from our first riffs," Hagar said in a statement with the tour announcement. "The music we created is going to outlive us all. They deserve to be heard so it's time we go out and serve the fans that music, while we still can."
The four albums of the "Van Hagar" era of the band – 5150 (1986), OU812 (1988), For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge (1991), and Balance (1995) – were recently re-released in newly remastered editions.
“It’s crazy to think that it’ll be 20 years since Mikey and I played these songs with Van Halen on the 04’ Best of Both Worlds Tour,” said Hagar. “With Joe on board, we can take a deeper dive into those years. We’re going to touch on some hits from my entire career but seeing fans old and new really embrace the new collection set off something in Mikey and I."
Joining the band on keyboards and backing vocals is Australian musician Rai Thistlethwayte.
WHAT SONGS MAY SAMMY HAGAR AND THE BAND PLAY IN THE 2024 TOUR?
On a poster for The Best of All Worlds tour, there's a list of songs including:
• Songs Hagar recorded with Van Halen: 5150, When It's Love, Best of Both Worlds, Finish What Ya Started, Poundcake, Humans Being, Right Now, Good Enough, Eagles Fly • Van Halen songs recorded with Roth: Panama, Running' With the Devil, Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love • Hagar solo songs: Your Love is Driving Me Crazy, Heavy Metal, Little White Lie, One Way to Rock, Mas Tequila • Hagar songs from his days with Montrose: Rock Candy • Chickenfoot songs: Oh Yeah

I have learned how to follow instructions this time:
Pierogi AU
The moment you suggested "pierogi" I knew what the AU was.
This will make sense to very few people. It involves baseball. This might help. Or this.
-----------
Satine could hear her heart pounding in her ears as they stood in the stuffy hallway, hundreds of fans cheering just on the other side of those doors. It was hot and humid and it smelled terrible in here but she couldn't care when it felt like she'd been waiting her entire life for this moment.
When the doors flew open and she heard the announcer's voice over the loudspeaker, she suddenly couldn't breathe.
“It’s time for The Great Pittsburgh Pierogi Race N’at!!”
Ever since the Pirates introduced the ridiculous ‘running of the ‘rogies,’ [as her father had called it] when she was little, Satine had dreamed of having the honor to dawn one of the infamous Mrs. T’s Pierogi costumes and race around the outfield of PNC Park to sure victory.
She smiled as they walked out onto the field — though no one could see her face — the crowd cheering for their favorite hometown tradition, the steel city rising up beyond the outfield, Chester Cheese’s yellow hat sat proudly on top of her pierogi head.
This was her childhood dream.
Unfortunately, it was also Obi-Wan’s.
“You’re going down Cheese,” Bacon Burt sneered as they took their places at the starting line.
“We’ll see about that.”

Parker McCollum, Jackson Dean & Gavin Adcock – UPMC Events Center, Moon Township, PA – September 16, 2023
Country music newcomer Parker McCollum may just have to get an apartment in Pittsburgh before too long. McCollum opened for Morgan Wallen at PNC Park for a makeup show on August 30, and then McCollum sold all 4,000 seats at UPMC Events Center in the Moon Township area of Pittsburgh on June 16.
McCollum joked about the Morgan Wallen set by saying he was coming back to Pittsburgh every two weeks for the rest of the year. From the response to that statement, Pittsburgh is liable to show up to see him if he did just that.
Tumblr media
McCollum started his set with his mega hit, “To Be Loved by You,” and followed it with “Wait Outside” and “Meet You In The Middle” to the delight of the screaming crowd that never stopped during his 90-minute show.
Working both sides of the rather small stage, McCollum proved why he was named the 2022 New Male Vocalist of the Year by the Academy Of Country Music. He kept the crowd engaged as he worked his way through a 19-song set, including last summer’s hit “Handle on You,” and ending the night with “Pretty Heart” and “Hurricane.”
Tumblr media
As part of his “Summer Tour,” McCollum brought rising singer-songwriters, Jackson Dean and Gavin Adcock with him to open the show. Both opening acts performed acoustic, with just an additional guitar player as they worked their way through their self-penned songs. At times, the lack of a band and few up-tempo songs made the evening drag some during their sets, but the combination also got the crowd ready when McCollum hit the stage running with his full band set.
Parker McCollum Setlist: To Be Loved By You / Wait Outside / Meet You In The Middle / Drinkin’ / Why Indiana / I Ain’t Going Nowhere / Don’t Blame Me / I Can’t Breathe / Rest Of My Life / Speed / Young Man’s Blues / Burn It Down / Things I Never Told You / Hell Of A Year / Like A Cowboy / Stoned / Handle On You / Pretty Heart / Hurricane
Jackson Dean Setlist: Trailer Park / Big Blue Sky / Don’t Take Much / Wolves / Heaven To Betsy / Train / 49 Tons / Fearless / 1971 / Don’t Come Lookin’

Roberto Clemente Day and Another Series Win
NYY @ PIT
Game 1
Former Pittsburgh Pirates righty Gerrit Cole got the ball for the New York Yankees versus RHP Johan Oviedo and the Bucs on Roberto Clemente Day.
In the bottom of the first inning, CF Jack Suwinski hit a sacrifice fly off Cole to CF Estevan Florial, scoring 2B Ji Hwan Bae. The Pirates took a 1-0 lead against the Yankees.
In the top of the second inning, Cole’s personal catcher Ben Rortvedt hit an RBI single off Oviedo, scoring SS Anthony Volpe. The score was knotted at 1-1.
In the bottom of the second inning, LF Bryan Reynolds hit an RBI single off Cole, scoring SS Liover Peguero. The Pirates now led 2-1.
Fast forward to the top of the sixth inning, 1B DJ LeMahieu hit an RBI single off reliever Thomas Hatch, scoring LF Oswaldo Cabrera. The score was tied 2-2.
A bit later in the same inning, RF Aaron Judge hit an RBI single off Hatch, scoring Rortvedt. The Yankees took the lead 3-2.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, Bae hit an RBI single off reliever Anthony Misiewicz, scoring former Yankee and DH Miguel Andujar. The score was tied 3-3.
This RBI single was a line drive that deflected off of the left side of Misiewicz’s head, unfortunately.
youtube
He would be taken off of the field via cart with a member of the Yankees’ medical staff and would be checked in at a nearby hospital for evaluation.
Misiewicz was in good spirits as he left PNC Park with the line-drive baseball as a memento of the game. Fortunately, he was cleared to leave the hospital on the same night.
Unfortunately, Misiewicz experienced concussion symptoms the next day, causing the Yankees to place him on the seven-day concussion injured list (IL).
Refocusing on this first game of the series, reliever Zach McAllister took Misiewicz’s place on the mound.
Still, in the sixth inning, Ke’Bryan Hayes – the son of former Yankee Charlie Hayes – hit an RBI single off McAllister, scoring RF Joshua Palacios and Bae. The Pirates led 5-3.
In the top of the ninth inning, Florial got a bases-loaded walk via reliever Colin Holderman, scoring LeMahieu. The Yankees now trailed 5-4.
Later in that inning, Volpe grounded into a force-out to Peguero at SS who threw to Bae at 2B, getting out Florial. Judge and 2B Gleyber Torres on Bae’s throwing error to first base. The Yankees led 6-5.
Before the inning and game ended, Cabrera hit an RBI single, scoring Volpe. The Yankees led 7-5 and won by this score.
Game 2
RHP Luke Weaver – who was claimed off waivers on Tuesday – got the nod for the Yankees against RHP Luis L. Ortiz and the Pirates.
In the top of the first inning, rookie C Austin Wells hit an RBI double off Ortiz, scoring LeMahieu. The Yankees took the lead 1-0.
In the same inning, Florial hit an RBI single off Ortiz, scoring Torres and Wells. The Yankees extended their lead to 3-0.
In the bottom of the first inning, Reynolds hit a two-run homerun off Weaver, scoring Bae and Reynolds himself. The Pirates trailed 3-2.
In the top of the third inning, DH Giancarlo Stanton hit a solo homerun off Ortiz. The Yankees led 4-2 with that insurance run.
youtube
In the bottom of the third inning, C Endy Rodriguez hit a sacrifice fly off Weaver to Judge in RF. Hayes scored and the Pirates now trailed 4-3.
In the top of the sixth inning, reliever Hunter Stratton threw a wild pitch, causing Judge to score from third base. The Yankees extended their lead to 5-3.
In the top of the eighth inning, Cabrera hit a solo homerun off Hatch, adding an additional insurance run for the Yankees.
The Yankees led 6-3 and would win by this score.
Game 3
LHP Carlos Rodón would pitch for the Yankees against RHP/opener Colin Selby for the Pirates.
The scoring began in the bottom of the third inning when Peguero hit an RBI single off Rodón and 1B Jared Triolo crossing home plate. The Pirates took the lead 1-0.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Andujar – who was in RF in this game – hit a solo homerun off Rodón. The Pirates extended their lead to 2-0.
In the top of the sixth inning, LeMahieu hit an RBI double off reliever Andre Jackson, scoring Florial. The Yankees trailed 2-1.
In the top of the seventh inning, Volpe hit a solo homerun – his 21st of his rookie season – off Jackson. The score was tied 2-2.
In the bottom of the seventh inning with two outs and Rodón still pitching, C Jason Delay hit an RBI double that deflected off the third base bag near 3B Oswald Peraza.
Peraza was ready to play the ball and throw it to first base before it hit third base. Either way, it was bad luck for the Yankees and the Pirates took a 3-2 lead.
This would end up being the final score in the Pirates’ win, which should have been a Yankees win and sweep of this series.
With the Yankees now losing five games this September into the October 1 stretch, they cannot afford to lose any more games.
Otherwise, the Yankees would be mathematically and officially eliminated as postseason wild-card contenders in the American League. Wishful thinking, right?

Rising Kim Ha-sung, 9th gun that blew his unfairness
Rising Kim Ha-sung, 9th gun that blew his unfairness…Tim's down day after day
Kim Ha-sung (28, San Diego) hit his ninth home run of the season, also dispelling the unfairness of the ball decision.
Kim Ha-sung started as the seventh batter (second baseman) against the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2023 Major League Baseball at PNC Park in Pittsburgh on the 30th and hit his ninth home run and double of the season.
Kim Ha-sung, who recorded a multi-hit with only long hits, was the most active hit in the San Diego lineup with two hits and two RBIs in three at-bats. .258 batting average (64 hits at 248 at bats) for the season.
Kim Ha-sung, who scored the first run with a sacrifice fly in his first at-bat in the second inning, faced his second at-bat in the fourth inning with a 3-0 lead. Like the game on the 29th, another ridiculous ball decision came out.
On the previous day's ball count 2B2S, Kim Ha-sung watched the ball escaping to the outside. It was obviously a ball, but the referee made a strike call. Kim Ha-sung, who had been striking out, laughed at the referee as if he was dumbfounded.
It was the same on this day. Both balls clearly out of the strike zone were declared strikes. Kim Ha-sung tilted his head pointing to the position of the ball caught by the catcher. Kim Ha-sung, who asked for time, hit a high fastball (156.6 kilometers) and hit a solo home run over the left fence. a distance of 121 meters. It is the ninth home run of the season since the match against Washington on the 26th.
Kim Ha-sung, who stepped down with an infield grounder in the bottom of the sixth inning, also hit a fastball (152.6km) after two outs in the top of the eighth inning and scored a double in the left field. It's his 11th double of the season. 토토사이트
Kim Ha-sung, who hit a monthly batting average of .300 in June, hit four home runs (9 RBIs) in seven recent games, raising his slugging percentage to 0.477. The ability to respond to fastball, which was considered a weakness, has also improved. It is increasing its value with a bat that is heating up with a defense that has already been recognized enough to be a final candidate for the NL Gold Glove last season.
Although he lost the All-Star Game fan vote, Kim Ha-sung's recent performance is impressive enough to expect him to participate in the All-Star recommended by the coach at the current pace.
San Diego, on the other hand, has been falling day after day. He recently fell into a five-game losing streak. Contrary to expectations before the opening of the season, it is collapsing miserably. San Diego, which advanced to the NL Championship Series last season, was selected as a candidate for this year's World Series by pouring astronomical amounts of money and strengthening its power.
Contrary to expectations, however, San Diego is in fourth place, more than 10 games behind Arizona, the leader of the NL West, ahead of the All-Star break. Considering the existence of the San Francisco-LA Dodgers, dramatic overtaking seems difficult. San Diego also has a long way to go in the wild card race. As stars who receive large sums of money do not do their part, there is no synergy at all. Recently, the bullpen has also collapsed, losing momentum in pursuit.

The Top Things to Do in Charlotte, NC Neighborhoods
Introduction
Charlotte is a city of many faces and personalities. It's the hometown of sports icons, like NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Sr. and NBA great Larry Brown, as well as music superstars like John Michael Montgomery and The Band Perry. Charlotte has seen plenty of ups and downs in its history—from the Great Depression to the latest recession—but it has consistently rebounded stronger than ever before with each new economic downturn. In fact, 2019 is shaping up to be one of Charlotte's best years yet for tourism thanks to a number of exciting new attractions opening their doors this year:
The Mint Museum of Art
The Mint Museum of Art is the largest art museum in the Carolinas and one of the best in the Southeast. It houses over 30,000 objects, including European and American paintings, sculptures, decorative arts, and photographs.
The collection includes works by such artists as John Singleton Copley (1738-1815), Thomas Gainsborough (1727-88), and James McNeill Whistler (1834-1903). There are also special exhibits featuring contemporary artists from around the world that change every few months or so--last year's featured an installation by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama called "Infinity Mirrors: The Universe Within You."
The Billy Graham Library and Museum
The Billy Graham Library and Museum is a must-see for any religious or history buff. Located in Charlotte, North Carolina, this beautiful brick building holds more than 40 million items related to the life of Billy Graham and his ministry. Visitors can walk through exhibits that chronicle his life as well as his work around the world. You'll also be able to see items from presidents like Richard Nixon, Lyndon Johnson, and Ronald Reagan; celebrities such as Bob Hope, Elvis Presley, and Muhammad Ali; other well-known preachers such as Charles Stanley and T.D Jakes; historical artifacts like letters written by George Washington during the Revolutionary War; Bibles dating back hundreds of years (including one owned by Thomas Jefferson); paintings done by Michelangelo Buonarroti himself!
While there are many things we could list off about this amazing place (and trust us when we say it would take hours), here are our top five reasons why you should visit The Billy Graham Library & Museum:
NASCAR Hall of Fame and Convention Center
The NASCAR Hall of Fame and Convention Center is located in Uptown Charlotte, and it's the perfect place to learn more about NASCAR. The museum features exhibits on everything from racing history and technology to driver profiles and race cars. There are also interactive exhibits that let you try your hand at driving a car, designing a race car, or even getting up close with some famous race cars!
The museum is open seven days a week from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (closed on Thanksgiving Day). Tickets cost $19 for adults and $14 for children ages 3-12; children under 2 years old are free with an adult ticket purchase.
N.C. Music Factory and Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park
Concerts and music festivals: N.C. Music Factory is home to several live events each year, including concerts by artists like Drake and Maroon 5. Other popular venues include Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park and PNC Music Pavilion Charlotte.
Indoor/outdoor venues: You can catch a show at one of these indoor venues or head outside for some fresh air with your favorite band!
Food, drinks, shopping: You won't go hungry while enjoying your favorite artist in Charlotte--there are plenty of restaurants nearby where you can grab food before or after the show!
Discovery Place Children's Museum and IMAX theater
Discovery Place Children's Museum and IMAX theater
Located in Uptown Charlotte, this hands-on science center is open daily. The museum has an aquarium, planetarium, Discovery Center, and theater with immersive films and 3D glasses to view them. You can also see what it's like to be an astronaut or explore outer space while learning about your body as well as the animals and plants of our world.
For more information visit discoveryplacecmuseum.org
Noda
Noda is located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte and serves Japanese and Korean cuisine. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, with dim lighting and a variety of seating options for couples, groups or even solo diners. Noda also offers late-night hours that make it ideal for those who want to grab dinner after a show at The Blumenthal Performing Arts Center or another event at the nearby Spectrum Center.
The happy hour menu offers several unique cocktails as well as small plates such as edamame hummus ($5), pork belly tacos ($8), or spicy tuna rolls ($6).
Villa Heights
Villa Heights is a neighborhood in Charlotte, North Carolina. It's located about 10 miles from Uptown Charlotte and is one of the city's oldest neighborhoods.
The area is known for its Victorian architecture and small-town feel, but it also has plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops that make it a popular place to live for young professionals looking for an urban lifestyle without having to deal with all of the traffic or noise associated with living in downtown areas like Uptown or NoDa (North Davidson).
Conclusion
Charlotte is a great city to visit, and it has so much to offer. From museums and amusement parks to concerts and festivals, there is something for everyone. We hope this list has inspired you to plan your next trip!

Opening day is an incredible day each and every year!!! I will never forget my first one at pnc park!!! Passion. It lies in all of us. Sleeping... waiting... and though unwanted, unbidden, it will stir... open its jaws and howl. It speaks to us... guides us. Passion rules us all. And we obey. What other choice do we have? Passion is the source of our finest moments. The joy of love... the clarity of hatred... the ecstasy of grief. It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion, maybe we'd know some kind of peace. But we would be hollow. Empty rooms, shuttered and dank. Without passion, we'd be truly dead.
