hi your secret santa again! so i was totally set on a sort of victorian type setting for my fic and then i got inspired by a poto fanfic i'm reading and now i have an idea for a modern setting. i'll leave the choice up to you though! even though you've written a lot of modern daemyra, maybe you have a secret wish for a victorian/regency/medieval daemyra!

secret of mana i love you

when i started this game i didnt love it, originally i bought the collection of mana for switch wayyyy back in 2020 but i couldnt get with the combat and i wasn't following the story very much so i got lost around the hidden forest section and thought "eh its cool and good but its just not for me" but i decided to give it another chance and am i ever glad i did

the graphics of the game looks plays and sounds fantastic! the style of combat is.. different and took me some time to learn the timing of it but when i figured it out i really liked it. maybe its because i didnt have a manual or something but once i figured out how to set the ai for the other 2 characters and made them battle too the game played a lot smoother; ofc it has its pitfalls like characters getting stuck below stairs or fighting smth other than what im focused on but whatever its not a huge issue. the game has great music too, oracle, danger, into the thick of it, spirit of the night, and the theme when popoi is in the tree after credits are some favourites of mine

i loved the story so much, i feel like every character had their own highlights, and primm's storyline was definitely my favourite out of all 3 characters and hers feels the most continuous and connected to each storybeat especially with the recurrence of dyluck and phanna. the ending was great (spoiler warning obvs) but returning to many of the important areas in the game, and especially randi being accepted back into potos village was so good to me. the ending of this game made me Feel which i love, maybe i did tear up a little bit...

overall i loved this game, its not overly long, it doesnt take itself too seriously (fucking santa claus and rudolph are in the game), the story is really good, its not too cryptic, i could continue but its fantastic; i think it's definitely one of my favourite games now

PotO Santa hurrrrr! I am delighted to hear you like Harry Potter as I too enjoy it very much! What house is your favourite / which house are you sorted into? Admittedly, I was unable to send your card yet and therefore now I have the opportunity to add a few little customized things for you so perhaps something Harry Potter related will join what I was already about to put in 😁

I have many fandoms some of which include but are not limited to Disney specifically Tangled, Beauty and the Beast and Haunted Mansion as probably top 3 as well as Marvel/ superheroes and I'm an anglophile so I like Shakespeare and I like fairy tales and I like Lord of the Rings and Sherlock Holmes and more! Haha

hullo!! i’m so sorry it’s taken so long to respond to this! unfortunately your package arrived the day after i left 😭 i’m not sure how expensive it would be for my mom to send out to me given the intl fees tend to be crazy but otherwise i’ll ask her to open it and send me pictures so i can at least personally thank you as otherwise i won’t be going home again until april.

i love tangled and batb!! <333 for entirely different reasons however since i’m reading them side by side like this i am starting to see a parallel or two haha. both so lovely in their own regards. tangled is hilarious. i’ve not heard of the haunted mansion though! i adore Marvel as well :) Spider-man all day every day. who’s your favorite hero? or villain, or character in general? and shakespeare hahahaha, fair enough. to which fairy tales do you refer? classic grimm or something else? but wowee i highly respect the number of fandoms you’re a part of! very impressive :)))

Ho ho ho! It is Santa back here. I just saw the last answer right now and I am here to reply to you. :) Aw you are a foster mom of cats and dogs. Awww they must be sweet :) I send them hugs. I love animals a lot. My animals are Lucky, my black labrador, he is 8 years old today (10th December) and Martin, the orange cat :) For now, I have some interesting questins. Do you have a special Christmas ornament you have some good memories linked to? If so, where do you place it on the tree or in your house? What was the gift you received and loved the most? And of course, an important phandom question- who do you ship Christine with? Erik or Raoul? As for answers to your questions:

1. I do not have a special Christmas ornament per say, but I do have a beautiful pair of Christmas ornamets in the shape of silver skates, adorned with pearls. They are absolutely gorgeous and were gifted to me by a family friend. They lack any sentimental value, apart from the fact that I really admire the person who gifted them to me, and I don't remember the last time I decorated a Christmas tree, but I suppose they count!

2. A gift that I loved the most...this is a tough one. I have received a multitude of sweet gifts throughout the years. So I shall share a recent response I got to a gift that I gave someone that really stuck with me.

Due to the specifics of what I study, I get to know a lot of young actors. A recent drama school graduate I've worked with before got the principal part in a big theatre production, so I brought flowers to a performance of hers. She pulled me onto the stage to hug me, and then sent me the loveliest voice message. I have now resolved to bring more actors flowers.

3. And as to who I ship Christine with...

The simple answer would be Raoul. I adore them both in the Lloyd Webber musical and Leroux, and those are the versions that matter most to me. I'm usually not a "childhood friends to lovers" fan, but something about their dynamic gets to me (maybe it's "All I Ask of You" and its stunning lyricism paralleling most of the show's major themes) and has caused Raoulstine to be my OTP.

But I love Eristine in a different way. I love to study their relationship and its intricacies. The musical, depending on the actors, offers a variety of different interpretations of them, and the ones that I latch onto (like Panaro/Patterson, Christensson/Joback, Jones/Owen-Jones, Mathieson/Thaxton, Mathieson/Piterman, or Gant/St.Louis just to name a few) make me go absolutely feral.

So I ship Christine with both of them, but in different ways.

And I also really enjoy Megstine, if we're talking musical-verse.

1. I'd prefer a physical card, thanks for asking. Getting physical mail is the best.

2. umm... the version in my head has become an odd combo. Any of the three are fine. My big thing is the masks. I'm not a fan of the full face including mouth coverage or the one from the 1925 movie or Leroux( I think) that has the top part of his face covered with a hard mask and the bottom with the fabric. I just can't visualize it well and when I do see it, it just looks odd. I do like either the half mask or the full face masks that have his chin and mouth exposed. Sorry if that was way too specific and not at all what you were asking.

3. Pegasus! I love animals

4. SLOW BURN ROMANCE!!!! That's always good. Fluff is good too, or angst that gets resolved and ends with fluff.

5. I celebrate Christmas, but not in a religious way. It's very commercially based in my house.

🎅 Ho, ho, ho! To continue our conversation about fanfic - I see you are a writer yourself. What inspires you to write? This question may also extend to drawing (love your Phanart, by the way!). And do you have any special wishes for your card?

What inspires me to write and draw is doing it for myself. To me, the motivation behind creativity is more important than the final product (It's still important but I think one should always remember why they create in the first place)

I also find it helpful when I play music from my favourite movie soundtracks/shows/musicals. These feelings and vibes from the music can also help me when I write and draw to the point where I make soundtracks for myself when writing a multichapter fic.

As for wishes on my card, I'm mostly thinking of sweet fluff and general holiday cheer to brighten up after the year. Other than that, I'm not so picky in my choices.
