SFW Modern Legolas: Dates
Legolas is a pretty laid back guy.
He's into many things, yet so little at the same time.
Smiliar to Haldir, he would be taking you on some active dates. Hiking, horseback riding, archery classes, that kind of thing.
He'd also like to make weekend trips and travel with you.
Go to new cities, visit the touristy areas, find amazing restaurants, etc.
On the flip side, he'd also like to do staycations and explore areas of where you live, that neither of you have been to. Try new restaurants.
He'd also love to cook and bake with you. Always finding new recipes for you guys to try out together.
At the end of the night, he'd want to curl up on the couch with you and watch a movie or a series.
When you are walking together, he likes to have an arm over your shoulder.

Facing Racism: fictional characters, very real problems
fictional books in which the main characters face racism. Although these books are fiction and contain themes of magical realism, fantasy, etc., they depict very real racial issues in our world today.
Conjure Women by Afia Atakora
A mother and daughter with a shared talent for healing—and for the conjuring of curses—are at the heart of this dazzling first novel Conjure Women is a sweeping story that brings the world of the South before and after the Civil War vividly to life. Spanning eras and generations, it tells of the lives of three unforgettable women: Miss May Belle, a wise healing woman; her precocious and observant daughter Rue, who is reluctant to follow in her mother's footsteps as a midwife; and their master's daughter Varina. The secrets and bonds among these women and their community come to a head at the beginning of a war and at the birth of an accursed child, who sets the townspeople alight with fear and a spreading superstition that threatens their newly won, tenuous freedom. Magnificently written, brilliantly researched, richly imagined, Conjure Women moves back and forth in time to tell the haunting story of Rue, Varina, and May Belle, their passions and friendships, and the lengths they will go to save themselves and those they love.
Ring Shout by P. Djèlí Clark
Nebula, Locus, and Alex Award-winner P. Djèlí Clark returns with Ring Shout, a dark fantasy historical novella that gives a supernatural twist to the Ku Klux Klan's reign of terror. D. W. Griffith is a sorcerer, and The Birth of a Nation is a spell that drew upon the darkest thoughts and wishes from the heart of America. Now, rising in power and prominence, the Klan has a plot to unleash Hell on Earth. Luckily, Maryse Boudreaux has a magic sword and a head full of tales. When she's not running bootleg whiskey through Prohibition Georgia, she's fighting monsters she calls "Ku Kluxes." She's damn good at it, too. But to confront this ongoing evil, she must journey between worlds to face nightmares made flesh--and her own demons. Together with a foul-mouthed sharpshooter and a Harlem Hellfighter, Maryse sets out to save a world from the hate that would consume it.
Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams
Queenie Jenkins is a 25-year-old Jamaican British woman living in London, straddling two cultures and slotting neatly into neither. She works at a national newspaper, where she’s constantly forced to compare herself to her white middle class peers. After a messy break up from her long-term white boyfriend, Queenie seeks comfort in all the wrong places…including several hazardous men who do a good job of occupying brain space and a bad job of affirming self-worth. As Queenie careens from one questionable decision to another, she finds herself wondering, “What are you doing? Why are you doing it? Who do you want to be?”—all of the questions today’s woman must face in a world trying to answer them for her. With “fresh and honest” (Jojo Moyes) prose, Queenie is a remarkably relatable exploration of what it means to be a modern woman searching for meaning in today’s world.
Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid
What happens when you do the right thing for the wrong reason? Alix Chamberlain is a woman who gets what she wants and has made a living showing other women how to do the same. A mother to two small girls, she started out as a blogger and has quickly built herself into a confidence-driven brand. So she is shocked when her babysitter, Emira Tucker, is confronted while watching the Chamberlains’ toddler one night. Seeing a young black woman out late with a white child, a security guard at their local high-end supermarket accuses Emira of kidnapping two-year-old Briar. A small crowd gathers, a bystander films everything, and Emira is furious and humiliated. Alix resolves to make it right. But Emira herself is aimless, broke, and wary of Alix’s desire to help. At twenty-five, she is about to lose her health insurance and has no idea what to do with her life. When the video of Emira unearths someone from Alix’s past, both women find themselves on a crash course that will upend everything they think they know about themselves, and each other. With empathy and piercing social commentary, Such a Fun Age explores the stickiness of transactional relationships, what it means to make someone “family,” the complicated reality of being a grown up, and the consequences of doing the right thing for the wrong reason.

Had a thought of “What would (insert character) do in the modern world/Earth.” And ran with it. I likely will do some more of these for other characters, both sfw and nsfw.
Master Post
SFW Modern Thranduil: Dates
Thranduil would be the kind of guy who’d want to take you on more sophisticated types of dates.
Nice restaurants, wineries/vineyard, a show on Broadway, etc.
While he does like to take you on more upscale dates, he balances them out with taking you to try out hole in the wall restaurants, explore hidden gem bookstores, etc.
Whenever you have to take a car somewhere, he will open and close the door for you. He always offers you a hand when you are getting out of the car.
He loves to link his arm with you as you walk.
Others would often tell you that he has a big dopey smile and look of adoration on his face whenever he looks at you. Although you would say they’re lying as you never catch him doing it.
To him, you are the most precious being in the world. He would tell you that, the no matter how much money he comes from/makes, it doesn’t compare to seeing the one he loves the most happy.

SFW Modern Fili: Dates
Fili is someone you wouldn't exactly call normal.
First date he would take you on, would be to go ax throwing.
Second, would likely be to a rage room to break some shit.
Other places he would take you to would be to go do an escape room, laser tag, paint balling, etc. He's also drag along his younger brother and his uncle to these type of dates if you are comfortable with it.
The more competitive it is, the better.
He is not a complete heathen, so he'd take you on dates to fancy restaurants, to the movies, etc.
If you're down for it, he'd want to do a movie marathon.
He may surprise you with his choice of movies he puts on. He may put on romcoms or he may put on some action. You'd never know, until the opening scene comes on.
He likes to place kisses on your temple and on your knuckles.
When you are walking together, he likes to hold your hand and swing your arms back and forth.

New Years - Middle Earth
Thranduil: You heard me. Take. It. Off.
Despite the fact that New Years is typically celebrated with partying and drinking, including Thranduil and yourself partaking in said activities, you decided to do something more lowkey this year. There was a fire going, music playing in the background, and you had a frisky card game out. It was not a surprise that the both of you ended up very horny, bringing out the brattiness in you that you loved to push Thranduil's buttons with.
You were sitting on a chair across from where Thranduil sat; you both were stripped down to your undergarments, and several drinks deep. Picking up a card, you took a slow sip of your drink before reading out the prompt, "Masturbate or remove an article of clothing." You said, Deciding to toy with the tall man, you started to slowly touch yourself. You looked over at him, giving him a languid smile. "You like watching me like this Thran-"
Thranduil cuts you off before you could finish talking, sitting up in his chair, leaning his elbows on his knees. "Take. Off. Your. Clothes." he grits out, clenching his fists. His eyes raked over body, the look on his face was almost animalistic. "Now Love, stand up while you're at it. Don't make me repeat myself." He stands up, making his way towards you, watching as you scramble to stand.
As you jolted out of the chair, you started walking backwards, towards the wall. It took you a moment to realize what he was doing. You straightened your back, "You want my clothes off, Thrandy?" You asked, giving him a cocky smile. You tilted your head to the side as you looked up at him, "Is that what you really want?"
Thranduil pushed your back against a wall, he had a mischievous look on his face. He put one hand above you on the wall, before looking you up and down,  “You heard me. Take. It. Off.” He commanded, bringing a hand up to your face, lightly tracing the side of your face. He leans in, putting his mouth close to your ear, whispering "Let me see your pretty body, love." He dropped his hand, letting it ghost over your body, before he let it rest right above your cunt.

SFW Modern Haldir: Dates
Haldir would be a mix of an outdoorsy guy, but also someone who enjoys doing stuff indoors.
One of the first dates he takes you on, would be either on a hike or horseback riding.
Either one you do, it would be somewhere that would be more nature forward and not somewhere that is very well known and very touristy.
After these, he would take you a cozy diner to get some food.
When he's not taking you on active dates, he is taking you to things like cooking classes, pottery classes, etc.
He is big on family, so when the opportunity arises, he likes to do triple dates with his brothers.
These dates would have something competitive, yet fun for the entire group. Things like bowling, video games, etc.

New Years - Middle Earth
Thorin: Did you just fall for me?
It wasn't often that you and Thorin went to a bar with friends. Much less have enough drinks to get you drunk. New Years was an exception to the first and somewhat the second. You were at your group’s favorite bar, The Misty Mountains. As Thorin was catching up with some of his friends, you were sitting with your friends. Drinks were flowing for everyone, some more than others.
As you finished your drink, you looked around for your partner. You spotted him a few tables over, unsurprisingly he was already staring at you. He smirked as you caught his gaze. “I will be back y’all.” You say as you get up, a little bit unsteady. Only thought on your mind was how much you needed your partner. “I’m in need of a little something.”
Thorin watched as you stood up, getting ready to walk over. Turning towards his friends, ”They look a bit… drunk? Definitely buzzed.” He laughs, a mischievous and scheming look appears on his face, one side of his mouth twitching up. He leans towards Dwalin, lowering his voice a little bit, “What if… What if they were to just. Ya know, fall right into my lap?” He looks away from Dwalin, moving his gaze towards his approaching partner. Taking note of Dwalin moving his foot slightly, so it would be in their path to him. “Come here, my Love.” He calls out to them, patting his lap. “Come sit with me.”
You laugh seeing him pat his lap, picking up your pace as you close the space between the two of you. “How you doing, handsome?” You say, not realizing Dwalin had his foot directly in your path, tripping over it. You let out a little yelp as you fall forwards, landing in Thorin’s embrace. You looked at Dwalin for a moment, before turning your head towards Thorin, “Sorry ‘bout that Dawlin, didn’t see your foot there. Mighty fine lap you got here handsome.”
Thorin laughs, pulling you onto his lap, “Did you just fall for me?” He asks, giving you a peck on the lips. He tightens his grip around your waist, as he ground his hips into yours. He slips a hand down the front of your pants, rubbing circles around your core, teasing you. “‘Cause it sure as hell looks like you did. Why don’t we get out of here, love? We can have some fun at home.”

This will be apart of the modern character series of headcanons! While canonically, Bard does have a child, in my posts he will not have a(ny) child(ren).
Master Post
SFW Bard: Dates
Bard is a lowkey guy, for the most part.
He'd take you to go rollerblading, ice skating, kayaking, seeing a drive in movie, etc.
He would also want to take you out camping (or glamping), then do some camping type stuff, like fishing, hiking, bonfire, etc.
Every once in awhile, he'd want to take you go karting, skydiving, do karaoke, see a comedy show, etc.
If he's able to, he'd want to take you to a zoo or aquarium and do one or multiple behind the scenes actives available.
Seeing the joy on your face, seeing all the different animals and learning about them, makes him happy.

New Years - Middle Earth
Aragorn: Kiss me.
It had been on your bucket list to watch the ball drop as the new year started. This year, Aragorn had surprised you with tickets to New York to watch it live at Times Square. To say you were excited was an understatement; while the cold was annoying, the atmosphere made up for it. Between the music and the people, you couldn't contain your excitement.
With minutes left before the ball drop, the more excited you got. Aragorn watched as you were bouncing from foot to foot. He smiles down at you, as he pulls you into him. "Almost time Love." He whispers into your ear, placing a kiss on your temple. He turns the both of you towards where the ball, "I glad I was able to bring you here." It wasn't long until people were starting to count down.
With the amount of liquid courage you had downed, you were feeling a little frisky. You couldn't help, but grind against Aragorn as you moved to the music that was still playing as the final seconds were being counted down. As people yelled out 'one', you turned around to face Aragon, "Kiss me, Aragorn. Gods, I love you." The kiss was sweet, but short.
Aragorn cut off the kiss quickly, before he dragged you away from the crowd, getting to a relatively empty area. "I can do more than just kiss you my love." He says, slipping a hand down your pants, teasing your dripping cunt. "You're so wet my love. Seems like you need some help with that."

SFW Modern Thorin: Dates
While he will say what is on his mind, he isn't always a man of many words.
It would take him some time to warm up to you, although he could listen to you ramble on just about anything.
The first date he would take you, would be to a coffee shop, that is in a bookstore.
He thinks that these are more cozy. He also finds that these are the best places to be on a first date.
As you get to know him better, he'd take you out to learn how to do things like sword fighting, dancing, painting, etc.
One date that he would surprise you with, is a trip to the mountains. He'd have a cabin booked and several activities that he thinks that you would enjoy.
When you are relaxing, or just enjoying your time together, he likes to run his hand through your hair.
When you are walking together, he likes to rest his hand on your hip, thats opposite of the side he's on.

New Years - Middle Earth
Bard: Ask nicely. No, thank you. I tried.
Bard had decided to change it up and take you to Vegas for New Years. Take you to see the fireworks and experience the strip. You were hanging out in your hotel room as you waited for the new year to arrive. You didn’t have much on your mind other than wanting to fuck your partner. You look over at Bard from your spot on the bed, contemplating how you wanted to tell him what you wanted. “Bard, lovely?” You say, causing him to look up at you, with a questioning look. “Fuck me. Fuck me, now.”
The corners of his mouth twitch up at your demand. Standing up, he shrugs off his jacket, before taking off his shirt. He slowly unzips his pants, “So you want to fuck. Why don’t you.. Ask nicely?” He asks, dropping his pants. “If you ask nicely, I’ll fuck you” He drops his voice lower as he says that.
A laugh rips out of you at his request. Getting up onto your knees, you move to the edge of the bed. Giving him a sort of crazy smile. “Nice? You want me to ask nicely, Bard?” You ask, reaching out and grabbing him by the crotch. “No. Thank you. Now, are you gonna fuck me or not?”
Bard shakes his head, pushing you back onto the bed, he nips at your neck. He leaves a few marks on your neck. “I.. I tried.” He says, taking off the last articles of clothing that both of you were wearing. “And to answer your question, yes I am going fuck you.”

New Years - Middle Earth
Haldir: I’m just getting comfy.
New Years for you and Haldir meant movie night with your friends. Every year it was a struggle for everyone to agree on what movie to play. Eventually, someone would grab the remote and select a movie. This year, it was you who decided to just put on Star Wars: A New Hope. Once the movie was ready to be played, snacks ready, and everyone was seated, you turned off the lights.
As all of your friends have taken up the available seats, the only spot you could sit was on Haldir's lap. He beckoned you over, patting his lap. "Come here Love, come sit with me." He said, smiling up at you, as you walked over. He pulled you onto his lap with one hand, using the other to move the blanket he had over both of you. "I'm sure you'll be comfortable sitting with me." He had a mischievous grin.
You hadn't noticed before, but he had a thin pair of sweatpants on. You were able to see and feel his hard on as you sat down. With the blanket as a bit of cover, you decided to wiggle around a bit. As you settled down after getting both of your pants and underwear down, you got a questioning look from your friends. "What? I'm just getting comfy." You say, flashing a smile at them as you ground your hips into Haldir.
